What a lengthy monologe (SP??)

Just Vicky said...

Who got 200?? I don't keep track of that counter! Was it you??

Just Vicky said...

Besides, I still have wax to sell on ebay yet! Sure glad we aren't giving that away anymore!

wvgal_dana said...

How do you know which ones are unwanted?

Just Vicky said...

A lot of them I don't use, have too much on this poor thing! The control panel add/remove programs brings up the dates it was last used, so that helps me make a decision also

Just Vicky said...

AND I do believe things are getting much better now!

Just Vicky said...

Don't you just wonder where in eagle land everyone is tonight???

wvgal_dana said...

My add/remove doesn't show what date they were last used.

Just Vicky said...

hummmm let me check into that one

Just Vicky said...

Ok, as you click on a specific program it brings up the date last used

Just Vicky said...

Now do you see???

floralgirl said...

Okay-I'm here Vicky and Vicky-where is everyone tonite?Checking Weather Underground to see if it might rain tomorrow-

wvgal_dana said...

Mind don't

Just Vicky said...

Just Vicky said...

Do you have windows XP

Just Vicky said...

We've been getting rain here in Danville IL today, I'll send it your way!

wvgal_dana said...

ok send some easy nice rain to Floralgirl too

Just Vicky said...

It seems not ALL programs have a date though

paula eagleholic said...

I'm here, but I am also "back to School - College version" shopping, much more expensive than regular back to schoool - sheets, frig, shower caddy, hamper, storage, clock, lamp etc etc etc.

Belle and Floralgirl - Try the Hanes/Leggs/Bali store, those half size Playtex may fit your girls ( good for inbetween sizes, believe me, I know.)

BBSoon!

paula eagleholic said...

Congrats, Belle!

floralgirl said...

Thanks,Vicky,I really need that rain.Paula, we are headed there later this week, not much luck in the regular stores.

Just Vicky said...

Now that's something I don't miss, "School shopping!"

Just Vicky said...

My grandchildren are 11, 7, 10, 4

wvgal_dana said...

Yw hope you do get some rain

paula eagleholic said...

Vicky,
Hope we get some of that rain.. have only had 1" in the last 3 weeks here... been fighting it by watering the veg garden every other night, and some select flowers... trees starting to drop some early leaves...

Just Vicky said...

oh trees around here are dropping leaves also, and we have had plenty of rain this summer so I don't really think the leaves falling are from lack of rain, at least not here!

Just Vicky said...

SOME are even changing colors, the seasons are just changing quicker it seems

belle_wv said...

I'm home again. stuffed - tried out the C&J Roadhouse in Hagerstown (where the Ground Round used to be) It was pretty darn good.

Yes, I'm in Hedgesville.
Paula thanks for the tip of the Hanes place - I forgot about it - at the Prime Outlets, right?

belle_wv said...

While we were out I was standing under an oak tree - and boy oh boy are the squirrels going to be HAPPY this year - the thing was LOADED with so many acorns - never seen so many on one tree before. Not sure if all the nut trees are faring the same, but that one was sure going to town.

Thanks all for the congrats! I am so happy and relieved. I can spend a whole week before my surgery just being mom and wife (a few school chores to do, but nuthin really!) WHOOO HOOOOO - first thing - tackle a MOUNTAIN of laundry...

paula eagleholic said...

Yup, Belle, there is a store at the Prime OUtlets.... don't ya just love doing laundry!

wvgal_dana said...

Well I need to go lie down and scretch legs out on the bed.
Guess I'll catch some tv since I can't use the computer laying down.
All take care in Eagleland.

paula eagleholic said...

Night, WVGAL VICKY, sleep tight.

paula eagleholic said...

Ok, done shopping for now, got some good ideas...

Mema Jo said...

Hi Paula, Belle and my 2 favorite Vickys. I finally made it back to the computer. Sorry took me so long-didn't mean to have you all talking to yourselves. Wierd feeling-right?
My Maples are holding their leaves - only when high wind storms come thru do they lose some. This fall we'll get hit again--hubby finally bought an attachment for the riding mower to get them up. But don't you remember jumping in the leaf piles as a kid?

Mema Jo said...

Was looking at the pandas
Mei has left little Tai sleeping on the no-no ledge and it's dark in there. It's the place that gives us all the scares of his falling downward into the tunnel.....

floralgirl said...

Congrats,Belle-Glad you are finished your project. Sorry about the laundry-I don't mind washing it,I never seem to get it all put away.It does seem to be a good year, I know the hickory and oak trees in my yard are also loaded with nuts this year.I will collect the acorns and use them at Xmas on wreaths,if I can get them before the squirrels and deer.

Mema Jo said...

Hi FLoralGirl - Goodnight Vicky-wv

On the subject of school shopping - I remember taking my 3 girls up until a certain age and then I would take each one separately for a few years - THEN they did their own shopping because they could get what they would wear not what mom wanted them to have. Up until 8th grade they had attended private school - uniforms! That made it a little easier between mother and daughter.

paula eagleholic said...

got kicked off the blog, jo, you have mail... must be the full moon next night thing

belle_wv said...

Start picking them before they fall off the tree?.. they've got awhile yet before they start to lose their grip though, so no hurries.
Paula dorm shopping - oh my - and to go with that tuition - yikes.
Vicky in WV - hope you get a good rest and feel better tomorrow. I liked your little story - but we wasn't not talkin to ya - we was busy readin LOL

Vicky in IL send the rain or better yet come bring it. That trip to Alaska you mentioned would be incredible... don't think it is in my budget or timeline for a good while though - if you go bring back lots of pictures and stories!

Mema what did you have on the grill? I think I am making room for some of my Southern Lemon Pie Icecream - soooo good just like Lemon Merainge (sp) pie... only ice creamier!

paula eagleholic said...

Floralgirl, you got that laundry thing right, just put away 3 weeks worth, I think, and then vow I won't let it pile up, then 3 weeks later...well you know, diggin out of the basket again!

Just Vicky said...

About that Alaskan trip -- got to get that worked out about the trip to this place where they are at! But I'm working on it!

paula eagleholic said...

Belle,
Lemon Meringue pie is one of my all time favorites! Can eat a whole pie all by myself!

belle_wv said...

School uniforms - I think that'd be pretty good - nothing like the plaid skirts and crested emblem jackets... just everyone has to wear something like kaki slacks THAT fit PROPERLY and golf type shirts. Colors could even be different, just nothing where anyone is able to show off their 'assets' be it body or money or fashion saavy to the detriment of others...

belle_wv said...

I hear y'all on the putting away the laundry - I don't really mind washing it, just folding it and finding an 'away' place for it is the hard part.

paula eagleholic said...

Vicky-Il, are you looking to see the eagles migrating? You should read the Blackwater web log, talks about seeing birds migratin close to here, in PA.

floralgirl said...

Hi-JO ,Can't imagine taking 3,1 can be difficult enough. We don't have the same tastes on everything ,but she is very reasonable about choices, and good at finding a sale price.Teaching her how to shop for bargains, hate paying full price.

paula eagleholic said...

Yes, VIcky-Il, the tuition is a lot! Thnak god I have that finally squaresd away! Thank goodness for scholarships, too!

paula eagleholic said...

Should we send Jim a can of wax for being #1 ???

belle_wv said...

LOL Paula - sure thing send him a can of wax - but you'll have to explain to him he has to do the mel gibson version of the email and of course send him the email too.. .or maybe you could edit it and substitute the correct 'parts' for him
ROFLMBO

Just Vicky said...

Yes, I'll send Jim my can!!!

paula eagleholic said...

Yup, Floralgirl, boys can be taught to bargain hunt too! Definitely a must!

Just Vicky said...

Paula, that would be closer than Alaska!

paula eagleholic said...

Belle, you are too much!

belle_wv said...

Scholarships are great - I am praying my kids get some good ones!Still have a few years before that is a big concern though

paula eagleholic said...

Would "winkie" be appropriate?!?!

ROFLMAO

belle_wv said...

Paula - winkie twinkie whatever works for you LOL
ROFL

paula eagleholic said...

Speaking of men, Hope Sharon is having a good time with the boys, and kids. Wonder if she remebered the shaving cream?

belle_wv said...

I hope she is getting lots of pics of her time there. She will be so tired when she gets home, but happy to hear Nilla and Vicky saw the 'kids'

paula eagleholic said...

Vicky-Il,
Although Alaska would be really special. I have a friend who went up for whale watching, loved it!

Just Vicky said...

Don't want no whales, just give me those Eagles!!!!

belle_wv said...

Oh I loved my trip out on the boat to watch whales off of Cape Cod - that was so fun!

paula eagleholic said...

Mema Jo, are you lurking or watching Panda cam (try #2, blogger, bad, bad boy tonight!)

paula eagleholic said...

Belle,
I know another girl who did that a long time ago for her honeymoon!

Mema Jo said...

Paula you have mail.
FloralGirl I have been reading the comments since I came back from my emails and I see the name Jim and Wax and then I get to your remark & misinterpret what you were saying:
Can't imagine taking 3,1 can
I forgot we were talking shopping & I thought you were sending 3 cans of WAX
I am sure this is funnier to me then to all of you reading it.

I did order today the statue (pic by my name) and it should be here next week. I will let you all know the quality of the product when I receive it from UPS. I hope it is as nice as it looks. Then if it is ok, we'll get the engraved base for it.

paula eagleholic said...

Me, I'll take the beach, anytime, anyhow, anywhere (preferably the Caribbean, but hey, and beach will do, really!)

Just Vicky said...

Gals, I just had the neatest mouse pointer on this Alaska webpage, it had a flying eagle for a mouse pointer!

Mema Jo said...

I have animal planet Panda cam up. Tai is still at the same spot. Don't see Mei at all.
I also have Frieda cam up. Still giving us the evil eye for lurking....
I wouldn't be able to know if it is Frodo nesting...

Mema Jo said...

Vickie-Il Can you keep the mouse pointer when you go off that site?

paula eagleholic said...

Vicky,
I have been to that site, too. Don't they have lots of eagle pics, too?

Jo, you have mail

Just Vicky said...

I was not able to keep the pointer but I'm looking where to get it! More to be revealed!

paula eagleholic said...

Well, Ladies, I am down and out for tonight...got to catch up on some ZZZZ's.

Good night and sweet dreams, eagle friends!

Just Vicky said...

Ok, I emailed asking about the eagle pointer! I will share when she responds to me! (more to be revealed!)

Just Vicky said...

Oh and goodnight to those dropping off!

Just Vicky said...

Bye Bye Ladies!

Mema Jo said...

Back again to say
Goodnight all you Eagle Buddies

Sweet Eagle Dreams...

belle_wv said...

Think I'm goign to call it a night too - one peep in at Frieda then off I go
{{{{hugs}}}} and sweet eagle dreams
and good morning to Suzanne when you get in :)

movin said...

Good evening-Good morning to you all....

Suzanne...

I was just reading some comments on the previous thread ... had to see what Nilla saw yesterday ....

Anyway, I saw what you wrote about the deer, and I wanted to give you some advice... I've driven through Utah quite a few times, and that State is infamous for the deer crossing the roads. Well, I've had some real close calls at night, until I decided to try blowing the horn when I saw one (or more).

Sometimes they get confused when they have only the headlights ("deer in the headlights") to judge the distance and direction of the car; so when you add the extra directional input of the car horn, they are far better able to tell where you are, and they will move away from the road immediately...give it a try, it works for me (I think it works for other animals too, if you have time to blow the horn).

Wow, Nilla, what a great sighting!

Do you suppose there is a river or lake they were heading for? Kinda sounds like some of them at least are able to get their own food.

I was first this morning, and perhaps I will be last of the evening too....

Have a great eagle-lovers day,
Jim

movin said...

Sorry, guess I should have looked again...it was Vicky who saw the eaglets yesterday.

Jim

Just Vicky said...

Jim it was WV Vicky and Nilla that saw the "kids" yesterday

Just Vicky said...

Help yourself to #300 Jim! I'm afraid all of us are talking to pillows and this one is going to do the same!

Just Vicky said...

Goodnight and Good Luck!

floralgirl said...

Good morning Suzanne-thanks for the Mars info,my daughter was just talking about this last nite, wasn't sure when it was happening. The moon has been so beautiful the past few nights, love walking around my yard when there's a full moon, like mother nature left a light on for me.Don't even get me started about dee, where I live I am surrounded by them-working on putting up electric fence to keep them out of my garden. They cost me so much money every season.Sometimes I can count 30 deer in my yard, they are pretty and I feel for them cause their habitat is disapearing-but I wish I would never see another one in my yard!

floralgirl said...

Looks like some rain may be on the way-keeping my fingers crossed. If we don't get rain, someone might need to do a rain dance.Did you read the weblog Lisa at BW put up?She has so much info in it.Anyone ever been to Hawk Mtn.?Always wanted to go.

floralgirl said...

Yes,I know where Chambersburg is-been there.I'm in Sharpsburg,Md-not far at all from you.I have been in the area where Hawk Mtn is,but we were traveling and couldn't stop. And they say it's a pretty good hike to the top.In Boonsboro,MD if you hike up to the Washington Monument there,it's pretty high up-you may see raptors.I've sat up at the top before and seen lots of different hawks. If it's a good day, there is usually someone else up there scouring the sky for birds.Might take a ride over there in the next few weeks when migration starts.
