Oops! Paula, I need your help in reminding me about NOT using waddle waddle because that is what ducks do. BUT what is the word I use when they settle down on the egg(s) after the egg roll?
JO!---Isn't it is EXCITING?---I think we often forget how WONDERFUL it is to wait & watch when they are nesting!!---I think we all feel we are on a HIGH!
I do hope the sun comes out on the nest soon and start to melt the snow.
Okay guys, keep an eye out on Belle and egg for me. I have to go get stuck for blood tests. Just routine stuff. But, I hate to leave! However, can not eat until I leave, so better go soon!!!

Oh, Lynne, that sounds terrible. Can't believe we have to go through more of this c--p. I totalled up accumulations here so far this season: 31". Boo-hiss.
Hi, Everyone! Brought this over from the other thread:
Good Morning/Afternoon, Everyone!
Wow, I slept in kinda late this morning, covered by my super cozy, warm & snuggy heated throw!
WOWEE!! CONGRATULATIONS, BELLE & LIB, AND MOMSTERS & DADSTERS!!! Lynn, thanks for the excellent picture! Good capture!
Feeling sympathy for Sissy, though--when I woke up, my sinuses were a (excuse the expression) train wreck! Think it's because of school last night--there's definitely something there that sets off allergies! My teacher had a sneezing fit last night during class! My left eye was blurry, itchy, and a real mess, until I used my generic Flonase nose spray. Getting better now! Feeling almost normal, now that I have some coffee on board. Is it raining at the nest? It sounds like it--or is that the wind making small tree branches rustle?
I don't think I'm allergic to the throw (although microfiber makes Hubby itchy sometimes), and as I said last night--if you and I lived closer to each other, I would loan it to you!LOL Hafta say, I love it--it's timed to stay on for 2 hours, then turn itself off. Once it got warm, it stayed warm, though--and so did I! Asked Hubby, and he DID order it from HSN. You might want to check it out!
You can see how much lighter the picture is for the still cam than it is for the live cam. I wonder if the settings can be redone by computer. That would be the reason the night view is better on the still cam. It looks like the contrast is greater on the live cam.
Gotta go get some more coffee, and do a bit more house cleaning. Will be back in a bit. Will leave the sound up really high so I'll be able to hear if anything happens! (Once hatching occurs, NOTHING will get done around here except my homework, so gotta get a head start!) :o]
Oh--Hi, Shirley! You're right--they need to fix the settings on the live feed if at all possible. Never thought I'd be saying that 'still' is better, but the still pic definitely is! OK--gotta get busy. Back later!
Hey there Lolly, Loretta, Jo, Mits, Ms. Bookworm. Paula, Norma, Stronghuntr, EE Sissy, Phyrfly, and all other eagle and bird watchers on here today.
I was watching our nest all day aat school (the one that Steve had posted for Wednesday with all the snow) and then seeing that he said we had an egg. I worried myself sick all afternoon, hurried home, turned on my computer, and was so relieved to see mosot of the snow gone. What a relief.
Oops--Hi, Judie! Seems like my timing's off, and I've been missing you lately. Did you get a look at the egg now? Looks like lunch is served. Darn it, gotta go get a little housecleaning accomplished--once there's a hatching, housework will be a lost cause for a while! Have a fantastic day, everyone! :o]

Morning Steve & everyone! Am I first?
I can't believe I'm first! LOL And I was just posting about if we were going to have a new thread today :)
I'm so happy we finally have an egg! Was it Feb 2 or 3 that it appeared?
it was Feb, 2nd
Lolly said...
Norma. 42 here and overcast. Expecting a "major widespread rain event" this afternoon and on into the next couple of days. Yuk!
Snow is a possibility first part of next weeek. They predicted a colder and wetter winter and sure enough.....we are having it!
Brought that over from the old thread. Morning Delphia, looks like you are first.
Thanks Steve! And, congratulations on the egg!

BBILW
Okay...sent my pic to Steve. Remains to be seen if he opens or responds.
Well, he should use your picture. It is great!
Mits, I've used Google Chrome for a while now and I really like it...
Morning, again.
Uh Steve, make that snow last night and an egg last night!
Egg was laid around 10:15pm
Lolly - your rain is going to be our "Significant snow event" this weekend.
So if the egg was laid yesterday, that means the earliest it would hatch is....March 9th?
Pic on the front of the thread is from 7:29 this morning
1st egg here is usually 37-38 days..which would be March 11-12
Lynn that pic is superb! Says it all!
Switch taking place
New Fluff (wet?) was brought in
And yes, earliest would be the 9th
Wow that was the crunch sound I thought I heard early early morning on my watch.
Shoot was yacking...missed the switch
Will try, Paula, to use up all the moisture here, so you will not get snow.
Wahoo! Just got my first glimpse of the EGG!
It's beautiful isn't it Lolly. I bet
we get some more.
I sure tuned in at the right time to see 'our' first egg. How egciting.
Nest visit this year then would be the very last of May or the first part of June.
The doggies are having fun out in the snow/ or are barking to get back in the house.
We're supposed to be getting more rain, we've still got water in our washes and drainage canals from our huge storm on Jan 21.
Thanks BIRD GIRL!---It's usually MITS!!---MORNIN' MITS --LOLLY--JO--HEDGIE and PAULA!!---
You sure did grannblt.
How much snow did you get?
Good morning everyone. I'm excited about the egg. I was worried last night with all the snow though.
Oops! Paula, I need your help in reminding me about NOT using waddle waddle because that is what ducks do. BUT what is the word I use when they settle down on the egg(s) after the egg roll?
Are we just eggcited????
HEDGIE!---I hope STEVE answers!!--I agree--he should use your pic!!
So who's on first? Lib?
I vote for Mar. 12th---my daddy's b-day. He would be 91 this year...:(
Hi Linda

I was just going to say they could really use some dry fluff.
I do hope the sun comes out on the nest soon and start to melt the snow.
Okay guys, keep an eye out on Belle and egg for me. I have to go get stuck for blood tests. Just routine stuff. But, I hate to leave! However, can not eat until I leave, so better go soon!!!

Delphia, meant to ask. What did you think of Avatar? You did go to see it the other day, right?
"Avatar" was visually very very good! Glad I took a dramamine first.
Oregon nest has a new cam...haven't checked it out yet...installed last week
Oregon supposed to have night lite, too
I don't believe I have seen a more perfect egg!! :)
Another WHoo Hoo for Sissy going to the DR
We enjoyed it, thought they did a very good job. Not my usual type of movie, but glad we saw it.
Gotta go!
BBL
Sissy is on the phone. She has sinusitis, viral syndrome, and bronchitis. She will live! Yay!
Oh, good, Sharon-- thanks for letting usknow. Last thing on FB said she was just getting a busy signal!
Aw, thanks, Shirley! I thought it was a good capture, too!
Wow! Sissy has got it all. Glad she went to the dr.
Sissy will live! Hurrah!

I think the SUN is starting to shine!!---That's what happens when the EAGLES are laying EGGS!!---LIFE IS GOOD!!
Glad Sissy went to Dr!!!
Lolly, your rain today will be the "Great Superbowl Weekend Storm of 2010" for us, I'm afraid....

A quick hello. Hunter has been using my laptop to play games. I have finally gotten my desktop to work, but it has no sound. Now Hunter is standing here wanting to play a game on this one! But he will have no sound.
See you later.
Now going to go eat a bite of breakfast. On a crazy schedule today, guess I could eat lunch but prefer to eat breakfast.
Up off the egg
Okay, now I am back down with my laptop, so I have sound. Is it raining or sleeting or something?
I think it's melting...
Maybe so. Melting here. Just wasn't sure what I was hearing.
Thanks Normabird...my site is also back after a long hiatus.
Eagles everywhere!!!!
Been over and reading back through the NBG blog. They really had fun watching the eagle lay the second egg. Belle, let us watch next time, please.
Egg was just in view again.
Oh, look at that pretty little egg!!!! Our eggs are always so beautiful!
Fish in the nest!
Whatever Belle is eating was just moving!!!!!
Looks like lunch was flopping in the nest. Now being eaten.
Nothing like a little fresh fish.
Guess it will not move any more.
Ok, experts..is that Belle chopping away on the fresh fish?
Yeah, I think it is through moving.
I had salmon for lunch, but I have to say that I think Belle's was much fresher. Mine wasn't moving on the plate.
I am guessing that's Belle . . .

I hear a flicker near the nest and heard a wren a little while ago.
I think it was Belle eating, yes!
good Morning. working on computer trying to finish someones genealogy. Im not sure about this egg so soon and its so cold. I'm worried.
Sharon Im not getting anything on live feed. Where are you seeing this?
Sharon - Sandy Burk is on the Tweeter of the cam... Her call name is

Roll, roll, wiggle, wiggle! I love watching that!

Bev To whom would you have bequeathed "George" the eagle to if the Dr had
told you you weren't going to live..God forbid!
Mema Jo, I know the answer to that question but not allowed to tell it.
Nice to see less snow in the nest, but I do wonder how long that will last. It is good that eagles are tough birds.
Gee Jo! Are you sitting there getting ready to "grab" George? lol Watch out what you drink, Beverly!
Sunny, my B'day is March 10, too! I've been hoping for a hatch on that day, but hasn't happened!
Leaving for a while. Have to "run" into town.

It's a secret Hedgie -
Sometimes the sound of the wind is the same as a fly in!
Andy - sure hope you aren't allergic to your new heated throw! lol
You know many a person that would accept it as a gift from you!
Boy, the weekend weather prediction doesn't sound encouraging, but it sure is nice to see an almost-snow-free nest right now.
Just installed IE 8. Now have to allow mixed content. Again.
Hi, Jo!
I don't think I'm allergic to the throw (although microfiber makes Hubby itchy sometimes), and as I said last night--if you and I lived closer to each other, I would loan it to you!LOL Hafta say, I love it--it's timed to stay on for 2 hours, then turn itself off. OK Who's Got The Egg Watch
Judie You can get a good look now
But you have to hurry
Eagle just returned
Looks as though Belle went out and got her own lunch.
Where are you Lib?
Hey there Lolly, Loretta, Jo, Mits, Ms. Bookworm. Paula, Norma, Stronghuntr, EE Sissy, Phyrfly, and all other eagle and bird watchers on here today.

I am so happy to see no snow I could dance around the house. Is it raining there>
Hi! I was just about to issue a lonely egg alert and discovered I needed to refresh. duh......
Hi Candy...... Belle just went out leaving the egg all alone and got some lunch for herself!
Beautiful egg roll.
Pulling in some fluff (wet or dry?)
Watch for the Wiggle Wiggle
Hi Judie! Check out Hedgie's blog. She has a fantastic picture under Lynn's Lair.
WOW Another stick
Now that may have been Lib who went out to lunch because it sure looks like Belle that just cam in with that 'cigar' stick........
I can spot the egg
Lib may be getting ready to leave
Belle munching on the lunch
Fooling with the nestorations around the 9:00 position
They are just such a beautiful couple.
Nice view of the egg now.
I do NOT like that weather report Lynne.
Hey, Lookee! An egg! I think we should build a tent over the nest.
One fly out
Other still eating
Egg uncovered
Tune for a snack!
Lunch? Dinner? Linner?
Late afternoon snack.
I thought the flopping fish was lunch!
Hi to Candy and Diann, too! Good to 'see' you guys! Well, if I don't go clean house now, it won't happen at all. BBIALW! ;O]
Fly in with a little fluff..
Cool! you could see the eagle flying in towards the nest.
Sounds like rubber bands for dinner:)
Thinking about going out for more ??
Need those snow piles covered
Hi Candy! Having a good school year
I bet they will flip sticks to see whose turn it is to keep the egg warm
Golly, hope SOMEBODY sits on that egg soon! Otherwise I may have to overnight my heated throw and a 150-foot extension cord to you guys!
Back on the egg, Guys!
Snow? again? We have eggs now, no need for the white stuff. We won't be able to find them. They're hard enough to see now!
... later
What's the current temp at the nest? Is 32 correct?
Aren't they beautiful?
Bet it is warmer than that since the snow has melted.
I sometimes forget to look outside of the nest except when I hear the plow, Megan.
