Just wanted to drop in real quick. I've been at the refuge this weekend trying to get video of our two new chicks. Hope to have some clips posted online later this week.
Congrats, Lisa! Great pics in the gallery. Thanks.
Morning all. Snowing here since I got up, but not laying. Wind supposed to pick up later. Margy, better not stow your snow gear away yet....something pending for T/W :(
feeding at Dunedin...Margy, I had trouble accessing it to the other day, just went ahead and deleted from my saved file and started over and it came back up.
GOOD MORNING... Just think, we are one third of the way to seeing our little fluff ball. What a special little chick that will be! Snapped a photo of Lady B yesterday afternoon and thought it looked like a crack in the egg. If so, it was a pretty quick hatching for little Molly:) Post on Wild and Wonderful.
If you ordered a copy of the WV mag, don't click on above link. Norma has paid for the copies and is preparing to mail them to you...she's put a lot of effort into doing this, so please wait til you have your copy in your hands for a pleasant read!!
Lynn I read the article but still want a copy to show to friends to get them and their children interested. Might even make copies and take to the schools in the area.
I put 3 more BWE pictures on Magpie's Roost link, eaglet definitely a newborn !
Sorry Lynn about the link.... been so excited about the article since I saw it and posted about it, and have been waiting to see it on the website. Real copy is much better than website anyway, and you view it anytime with no hassle....
GOOD MORNIN' EAGLE BUDDIES!---I posted a few words on the other blog---but didn't bring it over!---Think all of it has been covered--- Thanks LISA!---It is always great to look forward to your HATCHINGS!! CONGRATS!---Wonderful that you share!!

DAUGHTER 'LISA' had to put her horse, 'DUTCH BOY' down yesterday...she used to show him in his younger days---she is looking forward to getting another horse---(pray that she will)--- works at the barn on weekends to pay for his keep!!---(underpaid school teacher)---ho! -- been a bit sad--things are looking better this am!
WHOA WANDA!---'like watching 'GRASS' grow'!----HEAVENS!---I have forgotten what GRASS looks like!!----ho!--I still have about 8--10 inches of SOLID SNOW---
Norma - thinking of Lisa - she must have had him for a good many years. He was probably quite a good companion. I hope she finds another to take his place.
Norma sorry to hear about Dutch Boy. Hope she gets another horse will never take his place but she needs comfort and that is all another animal can do.
BWE newsletter in email had a link to a 37 page pdf coloring book---had three eagle pics in it. Just printed out a copy for each of my grandgirls. Even at 11 and 15, they still love to color---like their grandma!
Oh, Norma, so sad about Lisa's horse....I'm sure she had a good, long life. We have had to put two down, and it was very hard.
Jo, thanks for b-d list. FYI: Geula is NOT Karen. I made the mistake of calling her that in an email once!! Her best friend is Karen...for SOME reason, they switched names for email addresses!!!
Speaking of birthdays....today is my Bills' 66th. Too busy today with kids and shop for our celebration...we will do something later in the week. Suits me---better to wait til tooth is fixed!
HEDGIE & I have been working together to mail the "WONDERFUL WV MAGAZINE" to those who requested a copy!---Hopefully will be in mail this week!!---Seems to be a popular magazine!---
HEDGIE---I am not trying to steal your thunder (believe me)--but I find I have a dental appt tomorrow at 8:30 am---I had almost forgotten until I looked at calendar!---Guess I will be pinching my own arm! ho!
Good Morning or PM Everyone! How eggciting for BW!!! Gotta check cams. Some at Park think there4 hasn't been much action in our eagle nest, but last series of pics I put on Blog show Mom going, going & gone. So she might be in there but we can't see her. The other ?? of course is if there are any viable eggs. The suspense is killing me. Told Greg we need a silent helicopter flyover!!
Norma, I see you are joining Lynn and me at the dentist Monday. Not just a reg. appt.for me---extraction. :>( I'm trying to not get hysterical. I wish someone would go on a field trip w/me maybe to Conowingo to forget about it, but there's Nascar on today. BOO I work on 13th --double Boo
Geula emailed me and said exactly what you told me Lynn: yes, karen is my friends name and I am Geula...I asked the administrator to change my e-mail addy but he never got around to it! Geula!! who doesn't like at all having a broken hand! grrrrrrrr! I haven't got a response yet from Geula as to Who did she HIT! lol MTBR
Lynn...I got in trouble. Jack had paused the game a couple of times, so we were behind. Then I saw your comment and said too much! lol Next time will keep my mouth quiet. Never have been able to keep a poker face.
Finished dinner and had been watching the Canadian victory for ice hockey. I was pleased for their win - well played game for both teams.
Guela said she Hit The Pavement as to how she hurt her hand. Had surgery and said there are good things about this lousy situation...I'm getting waited on hand and foot by others!
I wonder what that little girl's name will be?????????????? The last of the 7,977 name entries came in at 11:55 PM CST last night. Good job! Today, we’ll be sorting. Tomorrow, we’ll ask Cub Foods how to announce the cub’s name and the recipient of the $500 gift certificate.
It has been a long day of reading and grading. Only completed 30 of 100. Such a very long and tiring process. Wish students could make clear statements rather than long-winded round about the issue. Hard to know sometimes if they just cannot focus their thoughts or just don't know the material.
Better is to thank Paula for the PH video. Congrats to the happy parents.
Yep, looks like snow flurries at nest. This has really been a hard winter for Belle & Lib. I am so hoping for a miracle.
Jo, no more papers tonight. Eyes begin to glass over and words run together. Read a paper this afternoon that was one full page-length single paragraph single spaced. I deducted points for reading difficulty.
Judie my son was like that when he was in school. If the teacher said 3 pages he would do more. I told him if I were the teacher I would fail him for not listening to directions. Good nite all. Hope for restful sleep for all
got bored waiting for olympics closing to come on, so I have been shopping instead, St Patrick's gifts for the kids:)....going to watch Cold Case at 10, if I can stay awake.
Darth was watching Lily a few minutes ago and I told him about the post that showed cubby peaking out. Forgot who posted that and when. Thought it was yesterday. Can someone refresh my memory because Darth wants to see Lily's baby.
PS Jo Thanks for the March Birthday Notice Message... and Thanks Again, for getting the March Momsters Photo Album ready....praying that we get to post some eaglet pictures this month
Paula - hoping (and praying) that your daughter-in-law is coming along okay....
I saw two Red-Tailed Hawks soaring today, and one skunk sauntering along the back roads. Decided NOT to try to take a picture, anyway it was night-time
Just popping on between Olympic closings & commercials of course. Decided to have a last meal that involved chewing, so we did filet mignons. (Hardly have to chew them!) Hope all little cutie chicklets & their parents are nestled down for the night.☺ If I don't make it back, Pleasant Feather Dreams to All!!☺ ♥
Judie, you are reading all of those tests online? That is a lot of time reading the computer screen.
I know well what you mean about the difficulty of reading the bad ones. Unfortunately, I am sure some of them neither focus their thoughts nor know the material. Good papers are easy to grade. It is the bad ones that give you fits. Sometimes I don't even know where to start to tell someone how to fix things.
I did have a good experience at school this past week. One of my students told me that she needed to leave class early to go participate in the regional academic competition.
I was teaching kennings--they are descriptive compound words or phrases that are used in the place of the things they are describing. A "whale-road" is the sea; "battle-dew" is blood. Those words are from Beowulf. Modern kennings are words like "headhunter."
Anyway, I commented that maybe there would be a question about kennings in the competition. The next morning, the girl showed up at my classroom door first thing in the morning to tell me that not only did they ask about kennings, they even used the same definition and the same examples I had given. Kind of scary, actually. (Pardon the long explanation. I won't give a test on this!)
Enjoying the Olympics and trying to stay awake until time to take a couple of pills.
Hi again. Margy, you reminded me 0of the streetcar & trolly chats this AM. I LOVED the streetcars! They were quiet & rocked from side to side & had a cord to pull that ran above all the windows. It chimed a "bing-bing" to tell driver you wanted to exit at next stop. I hated when they left & you had to use stinky, lurching buses. When I visited my G'ma in Chicago, we went everywhere on the "trolley"!
Judie, I am surprised at how many students don't know that they should double-space papers. I will be sure to tell them I know a professor who took off points for single spacing.
I had a writing teacher who said that you should always have at least one paragraph break on each page. White space is easier on the eyes.
Thanks, Mits. Darth was happy to see the cub peeking out. He had never heard the sounds of the cub nursing, either. He's hooked!
Yes, Shirley, it takes about 30 minutes average per response because the not-so-good responses are so difficult to read and assess. I just could not believe that an entire page was one paragraph. Reading online is a strain on my eyes.
Did not have to read Beowulf or learn about kennings but do know sloppy writing when I see it and I also know bull s___ when I read it.
Prayers for everyone headed for dental work tomorrow. Maybe it will be a good night for soothing soup and a hot toddy.
Eyes are tired and will need to return to reading/grading tomorrow.
Turning my light off but leaving the night light on for others coming in. Andy, will you please set the alarm for us when you come in? Hope you had a nice evening.
that's it, that's the world I was looking for...BS, some of your students sound like they are trying to pull the wool over your eyes, but have to get up pretty early in the morning to fool you...go get em:)
I'm right behind you, Paula. I like going to bed early and getting up early. Seems to give me more energy:)
Gene and I have encountered a delema. The lady who was in charge of getting the SOUP KITCHEN started, had a heart attack and her doctor said that it would be too much stress for her to continue. So, our preacher asked Gene and I if we would take over her position. We feel that we can't handle that extra burden on our already burdened shoulders, but, yet, we both feel we have been called to do this. We have talked about it much of the evening and will pray on it tonight. We covet your prayers for us to make the right decision.
GOOD NIGHT DEAR FRIENDS SWEET DREAMS PRAYERS FOR ALL
Almost ready to call it a day I did watch Masterpiece Theater and recorded Cold Case for another time.
Well is March coming in like a lion or not! In a way I sure hope it does so that it can go out like a lamb because our little fluff ball will be in our nest.
Sounds like you heard your names being called Wanda/Gene. You can organize it by getting everyone to pitch in. GG will be fine - she'll probably want to help!
Have been watching the olympics while working on slides. I am half way through!!!! Time to burn some DVDs.
Good thoughts going out to the three that have dental appointments in the morning.
Going to Denton to babysit tomorrow. Also, Joseph has a soccer game and at the same time Jacob has t-ball practice. However, good chance both will be cancelled because of rain.
Getting here kinda late, but still early enough (just barely!) to say:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BILL! Hope it was a good one!
Prayers for Norma's daughter, Lisa--so very sorry to hear of the loss of her Dutch Boy. Hope she's able to find another faithful friend at the right time.
Prayers continue for Paula's DIL.
Prayers, too, for Geula--hope the broken hand heals quickly!
Prayers that Wanda & Gene will get the answer they're seeking about the soup kitchen, and also for the lady who had a heart attack.
Prayers for those heading to the dentist's tomorrow--hope all goes well! You'll be in my thoughts, too.
Judie, hope the grading goes well for you, and you're able to get it all done! Praying you have a wonderful night's sleep to renew you!
Pretty tired tonight after a busy weekend. Going to watch some TV and hope to unwind. Oh--watched a movie on pay-per-view that I don't particularly recommend--'District 9'. Let's just say it's NOT light entertainment. Too much violence! Didn't enjoy it at all.
Prayers being said for everyone--hope next week is a great one for all of you! The night light is on, the porch light too, and the eye scanner is ready to go. Sweet dreams, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. Love you guys! :o]
Cute Jacob story! For the first time ever he has something to sell for t-ball. (A book of coupons for $10)) He wanted to go out to sell by himself. This is BIG for shy Jacob. He sold three to neighbors. Laurel told him what to say...he was repeating it when he was walking out the door. He sold one...got $10..went to another neighbor. She wanted to buy one but only had a $20. She saw he had a ten, so she tried to tell him she would give him $20 and he give her the $10. He would not do it. She said for him to go tell your mommy. He came home and said "She wanted to take my $10 and the coupons!" Laurel tried to explain it to him but he argued. He finally said, "Fine!!" disgustedly and went back.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... Last night, before going to bed, I asked for prayers, that Gene and I would make the right decision about being co-chairmen for the Soup Kitchen at our church. This morning, first thing, I read my daily email from JOEL OSTEEN who is a TV minister. I feel it was directed to us and our delema and is our answer:)
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria In this day and age, it's easy to become distracted, almost consumed with all the obligations we have on a daily basis. Cell phones, computers, the internet have all made it so much easier to pack more into our days. And while technology is a great blessing to us, we have to remember that how much we get done isn't as important as how we treat others. We should never be so focused on plowing through our "to do" list that we mistakenly plow past the people in our lives.
I love this verse in Ephesians that simply reminds us to be kind, to be compassionate, to be forgiving. If people had to be reminded back in those times, how much more do we need to be reminded today! We should always be on the lookout for ways we can be kind to one another. Can you share a smile with someone or an encouraging word? Can you help meet a need?
Remember, as a believer, you are the hands and feet of Jesus in this earth. Look for ways to serve one another. Sow a seed and watch the harvest of blessing in your own life in return!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY Father God, thank You for another day to live for You. Help me find creative ways to show kindness to the people you've put in my life. Show me ways I can sow seed and be a blessing to others. Thank You for equipping me to be Your representative and live in victory in every area of my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Good Morning Helen, and soooo good to see you back, Lynne! Yes, it does look like I got my answer, doesn't it? I feel so blessed to have gotten an answer so quickly and clearly:)
Wanda Thank you for sharing that. God Bless you and Gene both.... there are many folks in Berkeley County whose lives will be enriched by your ministry with the Soup Kitchen...and there's no doubt, how much they will enjoy those meals, prepared with love. They will come away with more than a full tummy...

Come see our wild bald eagles, including our two new Eagle Cam chicks on the live TV monitor at our Visitor Center.
wish I could go:(
Wish I could too! I wish a lot of things. ☺
Looking at the BW nest and thought....have kids and the house gets messy. Look at that...egg shells, half eaten food...typical household.
I am not available for that date but would like to get to Blackwater in a few weeks.
Lolly my son is not home but I think Jim has taken over. Seems I clean one part of the house and he is somewhere messing up the other part. LOL
so does everyone else's view of the BWE camera refresh every 30 seconds. so they not have a continuous feed?
Oh boy, when you live alone, there is ONLY ONE Person to blame it on
Hello More Morning People
Molly and Maggie, I like that Ceil !
Not sure if I am off the 13th or not...sure would be a fantastic trip to make !
GOOD MORNING...

Laura BWE does not have live feed.
Hi Laura
wonder how many times you will get an answer...
no live feed at BWE, refreshes every 30 seconds....usually not always, and BWO refreshes at a different rate
Wanda that was a quick hatch. Lisa says it is still wobbly.

Lynn...I got in trouble. Jack had paused the game a couple of times, so we were behind. Then I saw your comment and said too much! lol Next time will keep my mouth quiet. Never have been able to keep a poker face.
I think Jack is also pulling for Canada. Brendan Marrow, a Dallas Star, is playing for Canada. He wants him to bring home a gold medal.
I want USA!!!!!!
no Paula, he can't go:(, hopefully Kev can go.
Congrats to Canada.
Oops, Lolly!!! Know what that's like!
Well, dern! Jack is looking forward to seeing the medal hung on Marrow.
Well, back to the regular hockey seanson. STARS play Tuesday!
I see Canada got their Gold in Hockey...how awesome is that for Canada!
It has been forever since I walked the dogs...it wasn't as warm as it was earlier today, but it was still great!
Oh, didn't realize regular hockey games weren't on! Duh! All I've been watching is Olympics! Or eagles, LOL
Paula, they stop the regular hockey season during the Olympics. Too many of the players playing on teams.
yeah they suspended the hockey season, because so many guys went and played for their countries teams
PH - K26 laid egg #2 at 2:52 PST...
I was wondering if she would pop out #2 today!
Yea, I forgot they let all those pros play on the hockey and Bball teams...wish they would leave it to the amateurs....but oh well!
Paula I agree the Olympics should be for the amateurs not the pros
Nice egg roll our nest.
K10 showed up at PH, K26 showed him the eggs, then laid back down on them!
Here's the video of PH second egg by Jann
Egg #2 for PH
Good for K26 - video had me pushing!
Love these on the spot videos!
Really have a lot of eggs out and about these nests!
I wonder what that little girl's name will be??????????????
The last of the 7,977 name entries came in at 11:55 PM CST last night. Good job! Today, we’ll be sorting. Tomorrow, we’ll ask Cub Foods how to announce the cub’s name and the recipient of the $500 gift certificate.
watching ocean city cams can see the big ole moon shining on the ocean...forgot to look when it rose...
Hi everyone,
It has been a long day of reading and grading.
Adorable picture of the BWE babies.
Only just checked the blog and BWE.
Need food. BBL
Thanks for the hint Mits
Judie get your nourishment and hit those papers again! And students think that teachers have it easy! ho ho ho
Looks like some snow or sleet at the nest
Back for a minute.
Off to take a t.v. break.
Judie my son was like that when he was in school. If the teacher said 3 pages he would do more. I told him if I were the teacher I would fail him for not listening to directions.
Good nite all. Hope for restful sleep for all
Headed in to see what I can catch on TV
BBILW
got bored waiting for olympics closing to come on, so I have been shopping instead, St Patrick's gifts for the kids:)....going to watch Cold Case at 10, if I can stay awake.
Hi everyone,
Darth was watching Lily a few minutes ago and I told him about the post that showed cubby peaking out. Forgot who posted that and when. Thought it was yesterday. Can someone refresh my memory because Darth wants to see Lily's baby.
Judie, Lolly has a cute pic of Lily's cub
Hi Eagle Pals
Happy Birthday to Lynn's Bill
hope your celebration later in the week will be a lot of fun, and that TODAY was special for him also
Eagle moving around in our nest
I guess it's Belle, she is awake
Train Museum was perfect...those folks there are so nice, really enthusiastic about what they are doing, and very good with children and adults alike
Best wishes for all the dental appointments in the morning...
hope your doctors are gentle and swift with what they have to do
The Ice Moon is struggling to break out of the clouds here...maybe in the morning....before it sets
Venus comes back in view this month...in the West

Paula - hoping (and praying) that your daughter-in-law is coming along okay....
I saw two Red-Tailed Hawks soaring today, and one skunk sauntering along the back roads. Decided NOT to try to take a picture, anyway it was night-time
Okay, now Good Night xoxox
xo
Just popping on between Olympic closings & commercials of course.
Decided to have a last meal that involved chewing, so we did filet mignons. (Hardly have to chew them!)
Hope all little cutie chicklets & their parents are nestled down for the night.☺
If I don't make it back, Pleasant Feather Dreams to All!!☺ ♥
Stopping by to say good night.
Loretta, Grandma would always let us kids pull the cord when we were getting close to our stop!
Had a decent nap this evening. Watching Cold Case now. Love the color of Lily's dress!
Goodnight, everyone.
Hitting the hay, catch ya'll tomorrow!
Hugs to all ♥
that's it, that's the world I was looking for...BS, some of your students sound like they are trying to pull the wool over your eyes, but have to get up pretty early in the morning to fool you...go get em:)
good night everyone.
Good night, fine, fowl friends.
See you sometime tomorrow.
Hope everyone has an eggcellent Monday.
Peace and prayers.
Cold Case was really good tonight, yes Lynn loved Lily's dress, color was great on her
I'm right behind you, Paula.
GOOD NIGHT DEAR FRIENDS
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Belle sure has been restless tonight.
oh dear, Wanda, looks like God has already told you what He wants you to do.
Almost ready to call it a day
I did watch Masterpiece Theater and recorded Cold Case for another time.
Well is March coming in like a lion or not! In a way I sure hope it does so that it can go out like a lamb because our little fluff ball will be in our nest.
Sounds like you heard your names being called Wanda/Gene. You can organize it by getting everyone to pitch in.
GG will be fine - she'll probably want
to help!
Good night All and prayers for everyone's need and wants being said.
(((hugs))) ♥ ♥ ♥
Have been watching the olympics while working on slides. I am half way through!!!! Time to burn some DVDs.
Good thoughts going out to the three that have dental appointments in the morning.
Going to Denton to babysit tomorrow. Also, Joseph has a soccer game and at the same time Jacob has t-ball practice. However, good chance both will be cancelled because of rain.
Good Evening, Everyone!
Oh--watched a movie on pay-per-view that I don't particularly recommend--'District
Time to call it a day. We have had a nice fire this evening, but we are about out of wood.
Nite all! See ya in the morn!
Sweet dreams!
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
GOOD NIGHT, aLL.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK
COMING.

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
In this day and age, it's easy to become distracted, almost consumed with all the obligations we have on a daily basis.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, thank You for another day to live for You. Help me find creative ways to show kindness to the people you've put in my life. Show me ways I can sow seed and be a blessing to others. Thank You for equipping me to be Your representative and live in victory in every area of my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Good Monday 1st day of March morning to all...

Guela, prayers for your poor hand!
Norma, so sorry to read about Dutch Boy. Please tell your daughter how sorry I am for her loss. How old was he, and what kind of horse?
Paula, hope your Daughter In Law is by now feeling better and on the mend.
Happy (late) Birthday to Lynn's BILL!! Hope you guys are able to celebrate soon!
Wanda, I hope the night's rest and prayers were able to bring you to your answer about the soup kitchen.
I'll be back later...
OK , I babble so long before posting...Hi Mits and Wanda!
Wanda, yep, looks like you got your answer for sure. I love Joel and Victoria, BTW! ( I like Joyce Meyer, too.) Prayers for your adventure!

Thank you for sharing that.
God Bless you and Gene both....
there are many folks in Berkeley County whose lives will be enriched by your ministry with the Soup Kitchen...and there's no doubt, how much they will enjoy those meals, prepared with love.
