Wow, Happy Happy Day & a new thread! Just got a call not to come to work at farmhouse exhibit shop. Not plowed enough to get in! Boss lady brought hubby's big p/up & had to park down from house & shovel her way in! That means I can finish editing pics from yesterday's eagle nest at Park! Was going to leave & someone flew in~~~was there at the right time. I wanna go see the penguins! They're so cute.
Steve, thank you for the new thread. Have a nice day, please.
Hi Dana, well, the washer seems to be okay. Just need to get used to the front load high efficiency. Interesting, the cycles take much longer. Will be playing with the new toy in just a little while as I work on exams.
Hi Mits, have a good day at NZ. How little I know. Thought all penguins like snow.
Hi Jo!
Lynn, have fun out in the real world.
Turned off live cam because it keeps asking if I'm still watching, when I click yes, it turns off. ???
Hi Sahron, Mema Jo, Loretta, Mits, Phyrfly, Judie, Hedgie (ohter thread), and Paula. It is so good to SEE your names through these teary eyes (don't think catract surgery ended up the best for me). Always praying that whoever is out there having it done in the world today and each day that it goes better. So HAPPY to SEE your names. For a little while.
Isn't that an awesome sound Dana I love to hear lib and Belle best of all. OK I am out of here. Nature Nut :-) I will look forward to seeing your pictures of the eagles nest. Would be so cool to work where an eagles nest was. I would never retire LOL
How come I'm not seeing any video play? You need to have the latest Adobe Flash Player installed. Click here to get it: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
If you have the latest Adobe Flash Player, it's possible that it's corrupted. This is easily fixed by uninstalling it and then reinstalling it.
Another thing to try is using a different browser. There's Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3, Safari 4, Opera 10, etc. Note that Internet Explorer 6 is not a supported browser, although it might work in some cases.
Happy, Happy Day to Everyone! I don't have to go to farmhouse office. Boss lady called & said she could barely get in w/hubby's big p/up & had to park & shovel her way in to bldg. That means I can finish working on nest pics at Park from yesterday. Didn't see much of anything unusual near office~~except Mr. Towhee a couple times, but got a show when leaving. BTW, I tried to write this a 1/2 hour ago & everything froze again. I think culprit is Live cam & opened first. Maybe I can access by Outdoor link, not thru Comment page.
I did have the latest Adobe flash, but uninstalled it yesterday, and then re-installed it, and went from IE7 to IE8, so far, so good with the live feed.
Live feed always takes me a few times to get started lately. Have to hit the play button several times. Hey Dana, that's okay, I don't like peanut butter donuts anyway, now if she was getting chocolate, I might have a complaint.
DANA, what Paula said at 10:05 works for me. Click on the play button to the left bottom of the screen and be patient. If you are getting sound, you should get a picture soon. If not, try refreshing...patience is the key:) If that doesn't work...take a blow torch to your computer!:)
Hi everyone. Judie the same thing happens to me. I get the hit yes button if I am still watching, I hit it and it goes off anyway. I just keep refreshing. Last year i did not have that problem at all. So annoying.
Glo, I sometimes think about quitting because I hate getting up early, but then I would miss spotting something neat even tho it doesn't happen everyday. Saturday was spectacular in the amount and frequency of birds around the office. Can only see nest coming and going.
Hay WANDA ( : Glad I re-checked comments before I went out to give more area for Little Man. Well try too. LOL thanks for the chuckle "blow torch" lol and a smile.
Mits I have been wondering if anyone had downloaded the IE8. Does yours say by yahoo? Mind has been coming up wanting me to do it.
Dana I just went to the regular Windows authorized site and downloaded it from there....go above the cam and find Help and it will give the instructions I just posted. IE8 debuted a year ago, this is the 3rd time I have downloaded it,was not that impressed with it, but willing to try again, and it is working to let me see live feed again....just remember we all have different computers of various ages, what works for some may not work for others.
Dana...My anniversary is Sept 8th. This year will be 21 :) I love that you enjoyed my blog so much. I try to update it weekly now. Your comment left me in tears and I was moved to respond. Thank you :)
Thanks Mits..you are truly right each ones computer is different. Glad there is a restore ( : Don't know when or if I'll try thanks.
Have a good day at the zoo.
Heading out...I hate asking this but could you please add me to your prayer list. I have fallen 4 times now, each time hitting my knee replacement plus this last time I sprained my left ankle. It's been elevated and ice. Either pray I put the shoes and boots on the right feet. Or that my feet start re-learning how to walk..just kidding. Your prayers are appreciated. I haven't druinked a drop of liquior or wine nothing alcholic or taken any additional meds that would cause it but maybe I should drank that drop lol bye for now ty
Good morning all. Getting ready to go get ashes. Who saw the Westminister dog show last night? A Scottish terrier.Female named Sadie. Saw my neighbor fall today on her pavement. She wasn't hurt.
We do not observe Lent either. So, will eat meat and ice cream for all. However, went to Braums yesterday and bought Jack two containers of Peanutbutter Cup ice cream. His favorite, I like it too. And, I only ate about 1/4 cup of it. Trying so hard to cut back.
Phyfly I can't remember if I left you a message on your blog or not but have been there to visit and spend a lot of time. I am glad you plan to update it weekly. I shall go now and add it to Blogs I follow.
phyfly. OK now I remember I got lost over on your photo shelter. Couldn't quite figure out if the photographer is in fact you. Guess it must be :-) I have blonde roots under the gray. I am sure of it. Anyway love your Blog and photos but can't find a place to click Follow this Blog. More blonde I am sure. I do have a twitter account but most of my friends say they are twits and don't understand it so made me go to face book. They are all blondes too I guess. At least in their hearts.
OK I will apologize if this is old news for some of you but I do miss some of the posts on the blog often now and I don't always get all the shared emails etc. It was news to me so thought I would share it here in case others are not aware of this
Just finished a very nice visit with Jennifer. She filled my feeders for me. She said the one was a Carolina Wren - the rest are juncos. They all came in for a feast.
Thanks for the link, Glo. Iris sent that story thru the EM mail a day or so ago, I sent another link with an update on Hoover as well, Looks like Mom & Dad have accepted the little tyke...
I'm going totry one more time to respond to Norma's question about the Washington homes. Hello everyone. There is a good overview at the Washington Heritage Trail web site. Also there is a web site run be the Friends of Happy Retreat. Google will bring them up for you. Dana, you are always in my prayers. Tom has fallen too, tho he tries to be very cautious.
Jo I have a bunch of juncos, too. Cute little birds. Also some mourning doves and a jay and cardinals too. Not quite the variety as others, but they are still nice to see. I had to fill up my feeders last night too, they are really going thru the food.
OK Glad most of you saw that then. Yes I saw Linda and remember lots of relating to her as I was very active at a certain point with Tesoro on the Maine forum. Not particularly happy with how all that turned out but it is what it is.
Paule I am glad to hear Hoover has been accepted. That is a precious story with a great ending.
OK off to live some more of life away from the computer.
OK It worked. Field Trip: There is a tour pf four of the homes, usually in September, tobenefit Happy Retreat.I have been enjouing reading contributions from the new folks, as well as from my longtime eagle friends.
The adopted eaglet - Lynda's remarks in Paula's article were
Lynda White, Florida Audubon Society Eaglewatch coordinator, said, luckily, eagles have a poor sense of smell — and generally feed anything that seems to be eagle-like begging for food in their nests. And eagles can't count. "That's why this works," White said Monday.
Hi Jim. Don't know about lunch. Missed it, of course.
Hi Dana, please, please be so extra careful. Prayers for stability. If you keep falling, please check with md. Side-effect of meds? Maybe Lynn can offer some help.
Okay, I'm in for the meat, potatoes, ice cream. If I observed Lent, I would really sacrifice and give up turnip greens.
At my age I can give up meats as I love cheeses, pizzas, meatless spaghetti, pancakes and scrambled eggs. Since it really isn't a sacrifice I prefer to go in another direction and exercise some good habits in my daily life such as smiling, saying hello, not nagging hubby and complimenting others and being very very nice to all my eagle buddies!
Oh yes, Jo, I could live off of SEAFOOD. Still not giveing up meat. Gene brought some Ribeyes home yesterday and some fresh mushrooms! Snowflakes, oh, don't let me look at them...I have given up snow:)
Happy lunchtime. Put eagle nest pics on blog. They're not great----a little blurry, etc. That nest is too far away from the road! They either have to rebuild or I have to spend big bucks for a new camera I don't need just for them! BBL
HI SANDRA !!!! ( : ( : There is a good story about me seeing you at your kitchen window when we went on the Cong. Dam Trip. Maybe Wanda or Mema Jo will tell you sometime. I'm still trying to figure out where you went to. Yet you didn't go really anywhere. The way I was facing riding in the motorhome. In front of me is a mirror (which of course I didn't know) duh... lol I saw you at the window then you disappeared because the window I was looking out of became a mirror just a bit away from the window on the wall in the motorhome. Next time they best keep me away from that mirror. Cause I was saying look at that whatever and they couldn't see it because it was actually behind me and I'm pointing in front of me (before of the mirror). Oh well....
Falling because need adjustment in neck and back. Plus the sprained ankle doesn't help.
I'll read that story later about the eagle.
Need to leave for awhile....
Take care everyone and those that needs prayers may God Bless them.
Have beeb watching CO cam. Saw two eagles. They had the egg so well covered, I could not see anything. One was eating for quite a while, left, came back and sat on egg. Still no view. Finally did an egg roll and I only saw one. Time for another. Wasn't that one laid Sunday?
We are having snow flakes here. My friend Betty fell as we were walking to Church. A few years back she broke her wrist and then she broke her arm. She was so worried about her hand that I told her she hit her head. She said no she didn't. She is okay Thank heaven.
I opened cam from separate link, not NCTC & not much better. Tried to close it w/task manager & all websites closed. I don't get it. It's been working fine til about a week ago :>(
phyrfly, there are SO many little birds that look so similar and are though to ID. Makes me nuts! I really like that site because it has the bird calls, too. Another thing that drive me nuts! By the way, your blog is great...I love your pics and captions!!
phyrfly, there are SO many little birds that look so similar and are though to ID. Makes me nuts! I really like that site because it has the bird calls, too. Another thing that drive me nuts! By the way, your blog is great...I love your pics and captions!!
I got a notice about getting an Adobe update, went ahead and did it. Then I tried zooming to full screen, and guess what....I can do it now!
However, when I went to the cam the first time after turning off the computer, got the ad, but nothing below the cam, none of the buttons. So, I left and returned only this time no ad, but got the buttons. Can now hit the play button, Weird!
Walked around outside...on the high ground, not my backyard swamp. My coral honeysuckle is blooming and the Carolina Jasmine is covered in buds. Also, noticed one of my ground covers is blooming. The Columbine is also looking good with new growth. I may loose a lot of my tulips as well as other flowers to wetness.
I just experienced what Margy was talking about. The timer was running, and I had sound, but the pictures was frozen. Decided the sound did not match the picture. I refreshed and sure enough, Belle was up eating. Sound now goes with the picture.
Oh, that would be nice....drown all armadillos! lol
Actually, Jo, we do not have armadillo damage in the winter time. I have always wondered about that. It is just during the dry, hot summer that they like my green grass, to come and destroy. GRrrrrrrrrrr!
Hi, Everyone, Have been busy cleaning house today, and just now getting here. Mighty glad to see so much of the snow gone from the nest! Sure sounds windy there right now, though! I'm beginning to have high hopes for the last egg--Belle has been keeping it nice and warm.
Dana, prayers for you and for Little Man! What kind of shoes do you usually wear? I have one tricky ankle, and have to wear flats of some sort all the time. Sounds like Little Man needs some extra TLC--and some people say they don't have feelings like people do. Anyone who thinks they don't is nuts!! God bless the little guy!
I don't observe Lent either, so if anyone wants to send me either ice cream or some rib eye steaks, it's fine with me!
Good evening! Still playing catch-up (but not in a pickemup truck!), but saw some of the penquin comments: fact is there are only 2 species of penquins that are cold-weather creatures. All of the others are South American, and cannot survive in the cold. That is why most of the penquins in the zoos are kept inside in the winter
It was good to get out---but very cold, windy and snow flurries abounded. Had a delicious lunch at our 2nd fav Mexican restaurant. Anxiously waiting to get hungry enough to eat a donut this evening!
Lolly, is Jacks PB Cup ice cream Turkey Hill?? That is what I gave up for Lent---it's the only I/C I eat at home, except for Peppermint Stick at Christmas time!! I made it real specific, so that if I get a chance to go to Dairy Queen, I can still have a PB sundae or a split!!
This is the first time I've seen an Eagle at TH this year...are there eggs there yet? Maybe someone has posted that. You mean, the birds had MEAT on Ash Wednesday ! No pancakes? How about some fish ☺

Good morning everybody!
keeper out at Baltimore zoo, clearing a path at the penquin cam.
The penquins must be in heaven with this weather
well they have not been out during this weather, I think someone said there are some type who aren't snow penquins...don't know much about them.
WOW! Good Wednesday morning on an early fresh thread - great way to start the day.
Cleared my emails - need to go find all the early comments of today.

Paula thank you tried that didn't work. Just went to my homepage let it sit there. Just re-click and I see out EAGLE standing up looking around. ( :
Phyrfly I looked at some of your pics. One made me have to comment. Hope you know mind. I can't believe the name too.
Can you write anniversay date?
REfresh the whole page again...sometimes it takes a couple of tries, and fiddle with the play button also...
Hi Megan
Can you believe that Lynn is getting peanut butter filled donuts from store.
Without us!
Patience is the keyword with the Live Feed. Give it time to obey your
command.
Hi Sahron, Mema Jo, Loretta, Mits, Phyrfly, Judie, Hedgie (ohter thread), and Paula. It is so good to SEE your names through these teary eyes (don't think catract surgery ended up the best for me). Blogger Gremlins!
If not, try refreshing...patience is the key:)

Hi everyone. Judie the same thing happens to me. I get the hit yes button if I am still watching, I hit it and it goes off anyway. I just keep refreshing. Last year i did not have that problem at all. So annoying.
Laura, this is a brand new cam site than last year.

Mits I have been wondering if anyone had downloaded the IE8. Does yours say by yahoo? Mind has been coming up wanting me to do it.
I hope I didn't drive away Phyrfly.
Today's bird inventory: Mourning doves, nuthatches, dark-eyed juncos, white-throated sparrows, yellow-bellied sapsucker, chickadees, titmice, blue jays, goldfinches, warbler??, downy woodpecker, red-bellied woodpecker, cardinal and a partridge in a pear tree. Okay, maybe not a partridge! :)
I am really glad that the eagles have had a break from the snow, unlike us. Feelin like I live in Alaska.
Sharon - was it really a pear tree WOW!
Dana I just went to the regular Windows authorized site and downloaded it from there....go above the cam and find Help and it will give the instructions I just posted. hope you did not laugh, Ceil:)
turning the eggs.
And Mits, most time when I say who I think it is where in the nest, it is purely an uneducated guess! :)
And I bet Ceil at least chuckled!
No I beheaved myself.
I'm starving. Tired of Lent already. Sorry.
BBL
I told my husband I was giving up meat for lent...OMGosh, what have I done?!
Well, I don't observe Lent so I'll eat for all of ya!
Thanks Flora...I will send you my requests...we will start with a 8oz porterhouse steak LOL
well we are having fish and chips tonight for dinner..:)
I am with you Megan. I don't observe it either. I was beginning to think I was the only one who didn't! :)
I love how catholics don't believe fish is meat...I am thankful though.
Ceil, I meant to turn the dog show on at the end last night, forgot it....saw pic of dog on the web pages....why don't they let retrievers win?????
don't think I have ever heard a fish...moo.
Whew... me too, Sharon.
Eagle back with food.
And just flew out, must be Belle eating in the nest.
Whoa....what was brought in?
It is huge whatever it is!
Excuse my manners....GOOD MORNING!
Mmmm, tastes like chicken!
You think it was a chicken? I thought possibly that was it. Huge!
It's fowl...check out the tail feathers...I see bands...
I don't observe lent either...not a practicing Catholic :)
Send me your goodies...
Plucking more feathers...

Take care everyone and those that needs prayers may God Bless them.
Egg roll and fluff moving....
Someone was looking for the earlier...think it was Lynne
Carolina Raptor Center Cam
Have beeb watching CO cam. Saw two eagles. They had the egg so well covered, I could not see anything. One was eating for quite a while, left, came back and sat on egg. Still no view. Finally did an egg roll and I only saw one. Time for another. Wasn't that one laid Sunday?
We are having snow flakes here. My friend Betty fell as we were walking to Church. A few years back she broke her wrist and then she broke her arm. She was so worried about her hand that I told her she hit her head. She said no she didn't. She is okay Thank heaven.
Lolly 1st egg CO 2/15 Monday
Give them another day or two
LOlly - Sunday eve at CO, yep time for another.
Some snow flurried here too.
Be careful Dana!
Phyrfly - nice blog and photos
I have identified my mystery bird as a yellow-rumped warbler.
Need a pic of that one Sharon.
OK CO 14 or 15 ???
The site has the 15th on their page
Judy B has Feb 14 ~6 pm
Well at least we know there is 1 egg at this time and that 2nd egg should be soon. They had 3 before.
BBILW
I had Live open just now & hear5d squealing, but picture didn't move.
Jo, go to my blog, such as it is, and click on my wildlife and you will see the warbler.
I opened cam from separate link, not NCTC & not much better. Tried to close it w/task manager & all websites closed. I don't get it. It's been working fine til about a week ago :>(
LOl I was thinking...okay, who do I believe? Paula or Jo. Well hope it is soon.
I have been catching up on facebook, now to try to get some house work done. Yuk!
Just got back from lunch..Hubby took me out for Lobster Bisque! I think I am going to Love Lent!
Thank you everyone for your kind words about my blog. Glo I have added a follow link...hope that helps.
wow Sharon, a yellow rump! I haven't seen one of those yet!
Have you checked out Cornell's site for bird IDing? It's great!
Cornell Bird Site
Sure wish I had Lobster Bisque!!
I would have called the bird on the cornell front page a Yellow finch...I guess I have a lot oflearning to do.
Eagle just flew in, lots of talking...
Brought more fluff in
phyrfly, there are SO many little birds that look so similar and are though to ID. Makes me nuts! I really like that site because it has the bird calls, too. Another thing that drive me nuts! By the way, your blog is great...I love your pics and captions!!

egg roll
decided to change my picture...I plan on having LOTS of these growing this summer!
Lolly - It isn't Paula or Jo
Its the Xcel Eagle Home page
or Judy B's 2010 Eagle Info....
Let's just say 'There's an egg in the nest' lol
I am heading for a salad and a slice or two of pizza with Alexis of course in about an hour.
No Meatballs tonight! lol
phyrfly - your lunch sounds delicious
It was GREAT! I was suprised Ed thought to bring me there...It was a nice way to start my no meat adventure.
Tell Alexis I said hello:) If she still remembers me.
CO - I saw the evening egg pic on the IWS forum...I tend to believe all the eagle watchers!
It is 55 and sunshine.
She remembers the lady with the cool van in which she could climb inside and the lady who gave her a flower for behind her ear!!
Belle needs to be oiled...she's squeaking!
Lolly are the armadillos out yet or did they drown?
I agree with you Paula about the watchers sighting the happenings.
So Lolly should be another CO egg
by tomorrow.
Great pic of those 2 eggs
One hungry eagle.
I just experienced what Margy was talking about. The timer was running, and I had sound, but the pictures was frozen. Decided the sound did not match the picture. I refreshed and sure enough,
Belle was up eating. Sound now goes with the picture.
Feathers are a flying again
Might not be too many pigeons left on the barn roof........
Oh, that would be nice....drown all armadillos! lol
Actually, Jo, we do not have armadillo damage in the winter time. I have always wondered about that. It is just during the dry, hot summer that they like my green grass, to come and destroy. GRrrrrrrrrrr!
Think it was a chicken, Jo. It was huge!
Acts as though no food has been around
recently - such aggressive eating..
Hurry up and get back on those eggs. I guess it is 33° at the nest...
I am heading out for the Pizza Hut
BBL
What, no meatballs? I guess pizza's OK....
I saw both on the nest, one eating ahwile ago. Now just one on the nest.
I think that is Belle back to eat...
Is that a beauty mark on her upper back? I noticed it before but thought it was just a fuzzy.
It's a white feather which we can see every once in awhile.
Big crunch crunch snap snap
I gots to leave....later...
I could have said hello....how are you. Hello.
Off to Wednesday night Bible study.
Run, run, run.
I check in on Lib and Belle when I can, but usually I see only one of them sitting. This was good timing right now.
TCB........later.
I hear the geese
Hello eagle momsters and dadsters.
Hi Tbird!
Hi, Everyone,
Have been busy cleaning house today, and just now getting here.
Paula, how has your day been?
Good evening!
Still playing catch-up (but not in a pickemup truck!), but saw some of the penquin comments: fact is there are only 2 species of penquins that are cold-weather creatures. All of the others are South American, and cannot survive in the cold. That is why most of the penquins in the zoos are kept inside in the winter
Hi Lynn, how was your outing? Has anything changed in the real word since you were last out in it?
Most must be having dinner, so I will drop in later:)
Hi Lynn-hi Wanda
Hello everyone. Just checking in on L&B and wanted to say "hi."
... laterrrrrr
I'll catch you fine folks on the flip side.
Ceil, please tell MM I said Thank You---she'll know what I'm talking about!
I'm just getting on.
Has anyone posted this: There is in an eagle at Two Harbors
Two Harbors
HELLO EVERYONE !
I haven't read a thing yet....
Hello Magpie!
Hi there Sharon...feel like I'm blind, haven't seen what anyone has been up to since I left 14 hours ago ♥
Hi, Margy!!! How was your day..besides long???
Good for Two Harbors! Eagle eggs are popping out all over!
Everybody has been very well behaved. There was a feathery friend for lunch in the nest.
Here for a quick visit.
Jo, I like your way of living life. You don't have to give up anything for Lent.
Lynn, glad you had a nice day out. Not sure about pb doughnuts but would be willing to try.
Lovely doe at PixPa. Our nest is quiet time.
Finding a yellow rump surely got my attention till I realized it's a bird.
Hi Andy, how're you enjoying time off from school? Bet you are just lovin it.
Hi Wanda, Thelma, BEagle, Lolly, nay others I have missed.
Ceil hears geese. I hear wiggle wiggle choo choo TRAIN.
Speaking of missing, has anyone heard from Crunch Bob? Hope he and wife are doing well. Hey, Crunch Bob, check in, please.
One exam done the second almost done.
Off to watch FoodNetwork. BBL
This is the first time I've seen an Eagle at TH this year...are there eggs there yet? Maybe someone has posted that.

Margy, misread your post about TH---thought you said Egg when you really said Eagle! Duh! Tired eyes here.
Interesting that the two eagles are still there.
Lynn, how many days were you held captive at home? Glad you got to escape today.
Th - think K82 is laying an egg
I was just about to say that Paula.
13 days, Lolly!!!!
K82 is resting now...think the egg is laid....not sure...hasn't turned to look at it yet
Wow Lynne,
