Norma - when I saw that hammock yesterday I thought maybe they had taken the cover off to clean it. I need to read the updates to see it they mention the hammock.
GOOD morning eagle lovers. I was thrilled to see that second egg!!Do we dare wish for a third? Gotta get back to work - just wanted to share my joy. :-)
Thanks for the new thread again, Steven, and the awesome picture! Thanks for the heads up, Norma! Glad someone is paying attention, cause I sure am not.
GOOD MORNIN' CAROL!!---Delighted to hear from you!!---Most happy to learn you are peeking in!!----It is really too EXCITING!!---Aren't we BLESSED to be watching!!!!!
Thanks for the heads up about Tesoro, someone mentioned it earlier, then my phone rang and I forgot all about it. Those heads sure do pop up, and they are getting much much darker now! They're so cute! Growing fast. Atlanta pandas sitting side by side eating bamboo, they look like twins. GaoGao is on SD cam. He's a cutie, but would like to see his little girl!!! Tai is patrolling his estate, and I guess Mei is eating bamboo.
SUZANNE----Not 'TOO DAINTY' now-- ho!---She is now trying to lick what she dropped on her tummy!!--COOL!----I wish TAI could have one too!!---He gets so INTENSE when he has one!!
LOL, too funny, Norma. Missed the dropped fruitcycle, but bet she was hilarious. She loves every drop! Beverly, can't have lurkers in Eagle-eye's family!
Hahaha. I posted two comments on the previous thread before I saw Norma's "heads up" about the new thread...and you've already got 70 comments over here..
GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!!
It's a beautiful, crisp morning here in So Cal, and it will warm to about 67° by afternoon.
Great that everything is progressing so well with the WV and the BW eagles this morning.
HEY DEB!!---I AGREE!!---It certainly is a WONDERFUL time to be watching the EAGLES!!---Had you ever seen them laying eggs before!!----It's so EXCITING---Some friends are avoiding me--I think I talk a 'wee bit' too much about the EAGLES & the NEST!!---ho!---
MORNIN' MOVIN' JIM!!!----I had to post the message twice!!---No one believed me---or they were IGNORING the message!!----Cooler here today---now 41°--with blowing winds!!---Think we will have 3????
Time for me to hit the road. Everyone coming in now said it's getting very cold and windy out there. Guess I'll find out shortly. All have a great eagle/panda day. I'll pet all the kids for ya, Norma! Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
SISSY!!---OH MY!!---DO I UNDERSTAND!!---SHARON'S the younger sister!!---DID she get all the attention too!!----I know what it's like to be in the background all the time!! ho!--But I think she is a KEEPER!!!---she has the 'EAGLE EYE'!!!!------
Norma, most of the eagles here will leave by mid-March. There are a few nesting pairs, but the GF&P keeps they're location pretty secret. At the Karl Mundt Wildlife Refuge there are some, but no one is allowed in there, except employees. :(
I am perfectly happy with 2 eggs, but like they say...third time is the charm. 3 sets of 3 eggs, 3 years in a row? I don't know...we will have to wait and see!
DEB---Thanks for the info!!---Forgot most EAGLES migrate!!!----Ours don't migrate!!---Did you know that NCTC is govt. owned--closed to the public too!!----We get special permission to go in to see they EAGLES' NEST!!--They have an Open House in OCT.---It's an awesome place!!---Many--Many meetings-- classes, etc. are offered there!! I have always told STEVEN---I would pay them to let me work there!!-- ho!----
I haven't looked at your site much yet, Paula, but did you see the Rufus Hummingbird? Those are normally strictly a West Coast bird, but they get strays in Winter sometimes, and because of the many feeders available, more and more of them are surviving.
Is there word on the Live Video yet? I hope that it will start soon!
Had a busy day and I need to shower and get rid of the donkey smell! I went to pet and brush doneys at a donkey safe haven. It was great getting hands on with donks again!
We're working on the live feed. Yesterday it was in Black and White, so we are dealing with that glitch and a few others. I've got it on now and it's still B&W. Hang in there.
Actually, it was my SHOES that smelled and my clothes too a bit, but there is nothing more beautiful than the smell of a donkey!
How I've forgotten that, after such a long time! I DO feel good about being with those donkeys. That is my way of comforting them after they were so abused. I can't understand how people can mistreat animals like that!
I seem to have "misplaced" the real player link to the live video feed. how typical of me! could someone send it to me or will there be a different address?
Hi, Geula, I haven't had extensive experience with donkeys, but the little I have had was pleasant ... just keep clear of the killer end of them.
Their morning serenade is a delight to all who hear it, as you probably know.
One kid did have a burro in my neighborhood, and I want to tell you, do not try to ride a burro bareback!! They have a backbone just like a dull razor blade!!
It's either openmouthed squawking(sp) or it could be hot in the nest and she's cooling off...Do you remember 2 years ago, when they spent hot days, sitting on the chicks, with their mouth open?
It's got to be strong enough to bear a lot of weight and to last many years, but it probably has to be kind of soft on the surface ... like bark ... so their claws can be put to use.
Definitely not warm enough for panting. About 43 here now. And I am freezing. Wish it would make up it's mind 70 or 40 either is fine just not within 24 hours. LOL
Howdyyyyyyyyy Belle was just up turning eggs got a great picture... HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR MITS(THELMA AKA HELEN) ... I KNOW YOUR HAVING FITS... YOUR STUCK IN THE HOSPITOL NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO BE... SO GET WELL SOON AND HURRY HERE TO WATCH... AS THE LIVE CAM IS ABOUT TO START... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU...
I like the very compact design of the iMac, Deb, and Apple is one of the best (maybe the best) for reliability and user friendliness. I was very tempted to get one when I got this Dell, but I got a package deal, which was cheaper. So far, so good.
I do not believe the mouse works backwards, at least the Macs we had at work didn't. If it is a wired mouse, it probably just plugs into an USB port. If it's wireless, you have to get the mouse communicating with the transmitter ...should be simple instructions with the machine.
Thanks, Jim. I have my wireless one going, now I just have to get all my links and everything open. First thing I loaded was RealPlayer, so I am ready for that live feed!!
Our Eagle Buddy Mits is looking Good! Today, the 2nd day after the surgery is the roughest for the body. But Mits is handling it so well. Hubby & I met Jay - stayed about 1/2 hr. From all of us I gave her many hugs and also took Mits Happy B-Day floral boquet & a Get Well Balloon & a med sized stuffed eagle(he's a cutie) Mits had to snuggle the new eagle for awhile. I did take her screen prints of the new egg. She wanted them first :) She'll let us know exact date of her release. Her meessage to all of you was "HI!" I know she misses each & every one of you! I could see it in her eyes when she said Hi.
I've had the live feed on today on my desktop, but still have not gotten a url for the connection that I can give you all. I'm out tomorrow, but will check with the guys and will let you know if I get it. The audio does work now, but was acting a little weird at times.
Blogger cop got me. Thanks, Paula, my IMAC contact told me to put a different mouse on, so I did and have that working now. I just got WMP up, on to the next project.
Glad Mits is in good spirits even if she is in pain. Sure she will be glad to get back home. Do the nurses know if she isn't released soon she will commandeer a computer and check on Belle and Lib? LOL. Can't you just see her holding the nurses hostage til she sees the eagles. Glad Norma has the cane.
Dana, I asked about your email. Apparently the city hasn't had any reports. Could be most people think it is an isolated thing and don't think much of it but they should be careful anyway.
Well, first half day on IMAC and it is frustrating because the two are just different enough to confuse me. When you know what you want to do and can't figure out what you are doing wrong!! I guess I shouldn't expect to know everything the first day. I need to find patience, which I am well aware, I don't have.
JO-laughing at silly things is great. My cousin and I sometimes laugh so hard at really really stupid things one of us has to leave so we can stop laughing. One time I left Derrickson Creek, drove to Selbyville and back, went in the house and it all started again. I had to leave and go to another cousins house for the night. The reason-The name of a cabbage patch doll. For some reason we found it hilarious and couldn't stop laughing. My stomach hurt for days from laughing so hard.
I think we will have egg 3. I would prefer to have it tomorrow but if that isn't going to work I will settle for Saturday or Sunday. Heck I will be happy with Monday.
Aren't those Cabbage Patch dolls the ugliest things you ever saw? When they fist came out, we had a little boy in our church who looked just like the dolls. I swear!
Well, I was out for the evening, watching another Mount basketball game. It was heartbreaking.....they led the whole game except for the last 2 minutes,,,then they were behind. Then they tied the game and it went into OT, but they lost it then! Oh well, hopefully they will win the next one.
Sounds like it has been quiet here tonight..thank goodness! We need it for, for a night at least :)
Deb - I have read that GHO can lay anywhere from 1 to 5 eggs!

Hello Sissy. Everybody, she is my sister Beverly!
Hi, Beverly, welcome! You're probably already hooked from Sharon!

Beverly, can't have lurkers in Eagle-eye's family!
SUZANNE----That's unusual!!!---There was a huge 'RAFTER' of TURKEYS earlier!!!
Norma, there are still a couple there, but they're eating their way off cam.
SISSY---I didn't know your name was BEVERLY---That's my younger sister's name!!----But I bet you weren't a pest like she was!!! ho!
Hahaha. I posted two comments on the previous thread before I saw Norma's "heads up" about the new thread...and you've already got 70 comments over here..

Jim
Good morning, Norma.
I was thinking about that last night, and I just have a hunch that Liberty-Belle will produce a third egg again.
[:~)]
Jim
Norma, most of the eagles here will leave by mid-March. There are a few nesting pairs, but the GF&P keeps they're location pretty secret. At the Karl Mundt Wildlife Refuge there are some, but no one is allowed in there, except employees. :(
Howdy Carol - it is a joyous day, isn't it.
Hi Beverly! Nice to come out of the lurking world, isn't it? :) Welcome!
I am perfectly happy with 2 eggs, but like they say...third time is the charm. 3 sets of 3 eggs, 3 years in a row? I don't know...we will have to wait and see!
Think Norfolk could do that too?
I think the Panda cam at SD is froze up. Did you notice that??
Jim
Morning Jim - How is Sunny CA today?
Good morning, Paula.
Sorry, I lost track of Norfolk about the time of the second egg... How long ago did she lay that one?
But if there's time ... they do have that new, upscale mansion.
:?)
Jim
I'm back from the Dr. appointment and need to catch up on messages.
Thanks for the heads up Norma.
Glad to hear that Mits knows about the second precious egg! Hope she is doing well today.
I like my strawberries with sour cream and brown sugar...try it you'll like it!
See you as soon as I'm done reading...lots of messages...
Now they moved the cam back to Bai (close up of face) and ZZ (background).
Jim
Jim - she laid that one Monday evening. They say today is the day for the 3rd egg.

good morning/afternoon,evening to all!
Is there word on the Live Video yet? I hope that it will start soon!
Had a busy day and I need to shower and get rid of the donkey smell! I went to pet and brush doneys at a donkey safe haven. It was great getting hands on with donks again!
YEAH!! My new computer just arrived. I may be gone for some time while I set up and switch over. BBL, I hope!
We're working on the live feed. Yesterday it was in Black and White, so we are dealing with that glitch and a few others. I've got it on now and it's still B&W. Hang in there.
Thanks Steven for updating us on the live feed.
LOL - I'll take B&W Steve....but we can wait!!
STEVEN---You certainly know how to brighten one's day!!----WOW!----WOW!!
DEB----ENJOY---ENJOY!!
The cam we are watching doesn't look much different than black and white.
GEULA----I collect DONKEYS!!---I truly think they are HANDSOME ANIMALS!!----They don't smell real sweet though!!! ho!
JIM---I saw the RUFUS HUMMING BIRD video this a.m.----Beautiful!!---Blended in perfectly with their green surroundings!!!
Enough donkey talk!
I seem to have "misplaced" the real player link to the live video feed. how typical of me!
could someone send it to me or will there be a different address?
Hi, Geula,
I haven't had extensive experience with donkeys, but the little I have had was pleasant ... just keep clear of the killer end of them.
Their morning serenade is a delight to all who hear it, as you probably know.
One kid did have a burro in my neighborhood, and I want to tell you, do not try to ride a burro bareback!! They have a backbone just like a dull razor blade!!
[:~)]
Jim
Geula, Steven mentioned something about "maybe" posting a new link today. I don't know if he has yet. I haven't seen it.
[:~)]
Jim
Geula, we are going to have a new link I believe. Bless you for loving the donkeys.
I just opened the link to the live feed on the front page of the blog, but I got a "server could not be found" message.
[:~)]
Jim
From the width of the mouth being open, I bet we could heard some eagle squawking just now!
Maybe it's time Liberty should be bringing in lunch...
[:~)]
Jim
It's either openmouthed squawking(sp) or it could be hot in the nest and she's cooling off...Do you remember 2 years ago, when they spent hot days, sitting on the chicks, with their mouth open?
Geula - it is not warm enough today at the nest for panting!
Jim - I haven't seen the rufus video...
New link for live feed has not been posted yet!
I'm here, still have a lot to hook up, but at least I am on the internet!
ZZ is asleep atop her "tree" structure.
I wonder what they make the structures out of ...
It's got to be strong enough to bear a lot of weight and to last many years, but it probably has to be kind of soft on the surface ... like bark ... so their claws can be put to use.
Does anyone know??
[:~)]
Jim
What occurred, Deb??
New computer?
[:~)]
Jim
That looked like a good wing stretch!
Definitely not warm enough for panting. About 43 here now. And I am freezing. Wish it would make up it's mind 70 or 40 either is fine just not within 24 hours. LOL
Changing of the guards.
VA Lady looks so regal setting on her eggs!!!----Sun is in her eyes!
HELLO JILL!!----I AGREE! About 41° here----but the wind makes if feel so much cooler!!

Deb - on an IMAC, I beleive their mouse is backwards...you have to right click instead of left click
Ok, I got lost there for a
while. I put my old mouse on here and loaded firefox until I figure out safari. so much to learn!!
Paula, I was right clicking and left clicking and getting nowhere. I want a wireless mouse anyway, so this is better. Thanks for the help.
I like the very compact design of the iMac, Deb, and Apple is one of the best (maybe the best) for reliability and user friendliness. I was very tempted to get one when I got this Dell, but I got a package deal, which was cheaper. So far, so good.

Did anyone see Lib bring lunch for Belle??
[:~)]
Jim
hi ya'll! I just read the F5 hint. How awesome is that! I learned something today! :)
those hummingbirds look like they are going to fly out of that nest any second!
Deb - I said that before I knew you were on an IMAC - it may not work for you....
Jim - I think you're right...it's the closing the windows thingy that is backwards on a MAC
well, I'm heading home early today. Talk to ya'll later. keep me updated!
Lots of love,
Danelle
Steve - are you talking back to the eagles?
Eagle left and came right back and glared at the cam!
Actually, I believe Lib left and Belle dropped in right quick

I have returned from Sibley Hospital
Our Eagle Buddy Mits is looking Good!
Today, the 2nd day after the surgery is the roughest for the body. But Mits is handling it so well. Hubby & I met Jay - stayed about 1/2 hr. Jo - that's great. I'm glad to hear Mits is doing well! We miss her!
BW cams are stuck...
Well, I've got to take care of some other business, so talk to you all later...
[:~)]
Jim
I just read Mema Jo's report from the hospital.
Jo, do you know if our ecards have gotten through to Mits??
[:~)]
Jim
My hotmail is DOWN - can't get to any messages so I hope no one is waiting for any special responses from me.
Jim - Mits will not be able to pick up the email until her return home. Jay had his computer but could not pick up anything within the hospital.
Thanks for the update, Jo. I will check in on and off while I figure this thing out! Working on WMP now.
I've been off...
Is the live feed up and working???
Well, thanks for the good news about Mits' condition, and the cards will just have to wait.
At least you expressed our feelings to her...
[:~)]
Jim
Nothing yet on live feed except the comment from Steve that I put out on email Momsters....... about it being still black & white......
Deb - the mouse issue with an IMAC is that there is no right click...
Belle looks just superb laying on those eggs....
Hey Dana - the Florida Osprey cam is back on...looks like an osprey is incubating...gonna go check another forum and see what I can find out
Dana - here's the answer...

Okay, Steven, we are waiting PATIENTLY! :)

Jill - could be Friday or Saturday, or even Sunday for the 3rd egg. No chance after Sunday, I would say
Haven't they laid them up to 4 days apart before?
Hi guys,
We think we know what is wrong with our satellite dish, but we can't fix it until the morning when the building reopens.
This morning the cams fixed themselves, so that might happen again. But if not, we think we have a software fix that should do it.
Congrats on your second little one!
Thank you LISA, that is good to know. Yes, we are proud of our eggs. You would think we laid them to listen to us talk.LOL
We definitely helped her lay them, that is for sure!
Belle has her head tucked under her wing.
Sharon remember MsInBetween was the Feb 11th 2006 and Spunky Feb 15th 2006...that is 4days..
That is right, Dana. I knew I remembered 4 dats from somewhere.
You was right there Eagle_Eyed Sharon. ( :
Dana, I asked about your email. Apparently the city hasn't had any reports. Could be most people think it is an isolated thing and don't think much of it but they should be careful anyway.
Well, first half day on IMAC and it is frustrating because the two are just different enough to confuse me. When you know what you want to do and can't figure out what you are doing wrong!! I guess I shouldn't expect to know everything the first day. I need to find patience, which I am well aware, I don't have.
Eggs are turned and all tucked in for a nap.
I think everybody went to bed. They have to rest up for egg 3. LOL
WHOA! Tuned into WildLife Cam PA
Rocky Raccoon is out & about!
Had a beautiful FUN evening with my daughters/granddaughters! I am so glad they love to laugh at silly things like I do!
My hotmail has come up - don't know how long it had been down (hubby couldn't get it either). I have almost 2 pages full to filter thru.
Jill! Egg 3 on Saturday or Sunday?
What do you think? lol Like Paula said earlier - 3 is our lucky number!
BBILW
Rolling of eggs...
Ms Wild Watch Owl
now has 3 eggs
That's good news. How many eggs do they usually lay??
I swear!
Jo, I wonder where your daughters and granddaughters got their silliness?
Well, it does you good to go "silly" every once in a while!
Tomorrow may be too early for the third egg... BUT just maybe your
day will bring us LIVE FEED.
Wanda - behave!
BBILW Still in the emails
Well, I was out for the evening, watching another Mount basketball game. It was heartbreaking.....they led the whole game except for the last 2 minutes,,,then they were behind. Then they tied the game and it went into OT, but they lost it then! Oh well, hopefully they will win the next one.
Sounds like it has been quiet here tonight..thank goodness! We need it for, for a night at least :)
Deb - I have read that GHO can lay anywhere from 1 to 5 eggs!
