I am so excited to see what has happened since the cam went down. Steve said it was too early for eggs, but you never know! Do hope they wait a while.

We have a light rain here in Martinsburg/Shepherdstown and 38°, going up to 49°. Tomorrow is going to be 68°!! Good day to wash the Eagle Express. That is an all day job. Warm weather helps.

Norma, believe it or not, I did not lose power Friday! That is totally amazing, but yes, ice is very hard on trees and lines. Way too heavy!

We don't know for sure which day the egg was layed. This is really going to mess us up knowing when the hatching date is. I guess we will give or take a few days.

From watching this morning, Lib's tail kinda sticks up a little bit on the side of the egg cup. Her tail is flatter along her back, doesn't hit the sides of the egg cup.

Thanks, Paula! So anytime from 7 am Friday to the time the cam came back on this morning. That's a long stretch...egg could be days old, or hours old. Guess we'll find out when it hatches somewhere between what, 35-36 days? Good grief, talk about pins and needles! We're all gonna be nervous wrecks!

Actually from Belles past behavior I tend to think it was Friday too. And we will never know for sure. Just hope her weekend wasn't too bad, we know it wasn't too great but Lib is definitely in there doing his part. Great Couple.

Oh, Norma, I remember them. They were barn owls, I think in WildWatch, but not sure. No, that's not right. I'll have to go back to my favorites and find the URL. One I was talking about in the Netherlands had a gazillion eggs, 3 had hatched, and the parents totally ignored both the eggs and the chicks. Won't go there again, lousy parents. I remember the ones you're talking about too. I don't like owls quite as much as I did. I didn't realize they were such lousy parents...at least compared to the eagles and osprey, anyway!
