It is only 18° right now, going up to 30° with more snow and sleet later today.

The weather in Illinois absolutely stinks. It is 10 degrees though. That is 20 degrees warmer than Sunday morning my dogs might actually be able to walk if it weren't for the inches of rutted ice all over the place and ice melt pretty well all sold out in all the stores. No Big deal its been so cold it hardly even works anyway. iris told me to go get some kitty litter. Got it on my list. Lucked out thouhg. We were supposed to get 3 to 6 more inches of snow last night but it went north of us. Now at least we can still see the ice before we walk or drive on it. Its everywhere and nOT going to be melting anytime soon.

Glo's weather makes our area seem quite mild. Those ice ruts are really bad and when you have freezing weather all the time, it seems they stay all Winter.

Norfolk just fended off another attack. I feel badly for this pair this year. Its kind of rough there at times for those eagles.

Normabyrd you are correct. When DD first moved to Anchorage there was an eagle's nest just a couple of blocks from her house. After my stint in PA is over, I plan to go there for a year or two, Lord willing. I think you could say that I have eagle connections--DD in AK, DS in ME , and LB(little brother) in Norfolk. I am the only one interested in birds, however.

Belle is honkered down once again... i feeling confident that after last years tragedy they have put the egg cup deeper and WE ALL have the faith everything is ok... Just stopped in to say Hi. Have to take the cat to the vet. Allergic to fleas and somehow one flea managed to get in the house and head upstairs to the cat. Now he has a sore on his back from scratching and won't stop til he gets meds. He never goes out, won't come around when the dogs are in the house and still manages to find a flea. Go figure.

Just received an email from Helen & she said that her sisters, Ceil and Mary Margaret, arrived Sunday night. What a blessing, they are taking excellent care of me and I am doing well. Can't believe it has been a week. Cleaned out all my e-mails yesterday. Ceil has been catching me up on the blog. pls tell everyone on the blog thanks for all the prayers, and will be praying for Iris tomorrow.

Yes Nilla The weather doesn't sound too good. The good news is all that padding and fluff and the eggs are fairly new. They are not 30 plus days grown with embryos right up against edge of shell etc. But they surely need to be staying warm and dry as possible. Lord Bless their hearts I am already praying for that nest family

Something has caught Belles attention she is looking around and wide awake... I just got news from a very dear friend of many years she lost her sister this morning at 7:25am .. Her name is Melony keep her and her family in your prayers also..
I feel that same way Glo NONE of us want to relive last years events.. WE ALL MUST KEEP THE FAITH these eggs are big and strong and Belle & Lib are the best parents... I dont want to watch bring back those memories BUT loving them i cant not worry and watch as im am sure others feel.. Thanks Wanda will check it out sometimes right now have enough to make me sad..

Made it back from Hagerstown. No wreck on 81 just a truck broke down at the bridge, not quite off the road. Plenty of room in both lanes but people are slamming on brakes and moving left anyway.

I think NCIS will be a rerun. Not sure about Big Brother. Only guarantee not to be a rerun is American Idol. I think it will be a couple of weeks before we see "new" programs.
I love watching American Idol just to hear Paula n Randy get on Simon like they do..lol I say we raise money so next year a solor pane heated nest warmer can be installed in the middle down afew inches to keep it nice and cozy.. Just a thought but not enought to set nest on fire... I havent seen any food maybe thats what she is looking for Wanda...

hi all! I've been so busy today that I haven't had time to read all the posts. It looks like Belle is keeping still. I hope the eggs make it this year!
My weather stinks LOL and now I am on my way to work. Maye if it all snows here it can stop snowing there. That will work for me heck its all sort of blending in now anyway.
well it looks as though Belle has did an excellent job of keeping the snow away from eggs and the fluff at least couple inches from her withher wing spread she did!!! Hi Danelle good to see ya... Belle sure is watching something i hope its Lib with food or coming to exchange the nesting...
Jill - I didn't know animals could be allergic to fleas until this past fall...dog had them, and had to go on antibiotics and prednisone...haven't had fleas in 10 years...don't know where they came from either!
So time for go get ready for work.. All is well in the nest.. My thought for today is this: " REMEMBER ITS BAD TO SUPPRESS LAUGHTER IT GOES BACK DOWN AND SPREADS TO YOUR HIPS"
Paula, my cat never goes outside and very seldom comes downstairs so the fleas had to go up to him. Cat won't come down when dogs are in the house. And dogs don't go up. And I have found it only takes one flea. Last time we had to go to the vet, we never saw the flea, just flea dirt and very little of that. This time he really did have fleas so we used advantage but he still kept scratching. Dug a hole in his back and stomach.
Back again panda nap stomach doesn't feel well.
Don't know what is going on at Norfolk. They have had the camera way way back. Then they found an eagle sitting far away from nest. No eagle on nest. Now they gone into the nest. Now far far back away still no eagle to be found this time.
Well, I just voted three times here in Florida for the names for the Tesoro Chicks. If any of you have names you want me to send in, just let me know... if you will you will have to share the prize with me, OK??? just kidding. I do live in one of the counties mentioned as being eligible.

Hard to look at this nest and not remember last year, but this is nothing by comparison to that deluge of snow...hope it stays that way.

She sure defended the nest friercly....But honestly although i watch those nest i prefer to stay here at homebase and blog...Once n awhile ill go have alook see... Iris, it just started snowing hard again here. So far it is a dry snow. Belle and Lib are sure taking good care of this pretty eggs.
And you take care of those pretty eyes. You will be able to see without glasses when you get them both done. My Mom did very well with her surgery about 2 yrs. ago. No pain, no problem. Prayers for you. (((HUGS)))
