Thanks for the new thread, Steven. What are the odds of an eagle couple, the same couple, having 3 eggs 3 years in a row? It's unusual to have 3 eggs, but this is the third year for our guys! I'm just hoping they don't have 4, they would go in the record books then! And we'd all take turns helping them baby sit, and feeding (ugh), but we'd help!!
Good Morning Suzanne - I have a very early appointment today. Well, early for me. I am thankful to see our nest & Belle made it through the winds last night! I hope we don't lose our cam pic but I am seeing what you mean. I'll return shortly after the noon hour.... Stay warm!
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!!---HELLO SUZANNE & MEMA JO!!----It's a very COLD SUNNY winter a.m. here in WV--"HOME OF BELLE & LIBERTY"----temp. is 11° & the wind has stopped!!!---3 EGGS in the nest!!----It truly is a GLORIOUS day----ENJOY!!
Mei has honey on her paper bag, or whatever it is, but she's enjoying it! Not sure what Tai is doing, looks like he's sitting on the floor putting a puzzle together!
Good Morning everyone. Hope you are staying warm as can be. I have just about had it with this winter but it is 1 here which is 10 degrees warmer than yesterday so I really shouldn't complain MUCH
cute SuzanneWe'd have to start lining up for feeding and baby sitting duties! Hum, ok, that doesn't sound so bad, sign me up!
Panda treats all gone. Mei is at the window looking for more, and Tai is strolling again. Now Mei is gonna stroll too. Keep getting the dreaded black screen about every other refresh on our cam! Bummer.
Yes, Norma, the herd is thinning out now. Off to their daily chores or whereever they go during the dag! Mei is still pacing trying to beg some more treats from that little window, and Tai just wants out!Oh, Ray Charles dance time!!!!
MORNIN' GLO & DANELLE!!---We have had such STRONG WINDS BLOWING since yesterday afternoon GLO---so it does feel a 'bit' warmer here too---now that they have stopped !!!---DANELLE says it best---"FREEZING here in WV"----ho!
LIBERTY must return with some food--- and He needs to do some 'stick movin' (if that's BELLE on the nest----if it's LIBERTY--just reverse the instructions)
Norma, my computer is moving at the speed of a snail this morning! Maybe it's cold too! Maybe you can connect later, it might be getting a lot of traffic. Glad Deb likes her new computer! One of these days I'm gonna get a lightening speed laptop too! So I can lay on the couch and fall asleep on the computer, not just the TV! (Ha, yeah, we need fast for that!)
GOOD MORNING NORMA (just missed Jo, Danelle and Glo). Yes, it is cold in WV today. Not as bad as Deb's SD weather. There are a few updates on Baby Tessa Blog. Read when you get a chance...interesting.
I told DEB yesterday---I remember when my computer was fast too!!---Now it is hardly up to a snail pace!! ho!----See they have received some more light snow in ME----Isn't it about time to see them on the nest!!
MORNIN' WANDA!---Are you freezing this a.m.??---Just heard---one reason for school closings, etc. in WV---ELECTRIC is on/off in several parts of the state!!---Thank goodness ours didn't go during the winds we had yesterday & last night!!---
Good Morning Sharon hope you are feeling better. Good Morning to those that left for awhile Jo, and Glo. Good Morning on this thread Danelle, Suzanne, Wanda, Norma and Watchers. Hi Mits (hoping for good recovery), Sandra (keep the spirits up lady), Nilla (hope you get to Dr. today) and Carol. Need to read other thread.
GOOD MORNING----SANDY!--HELEN!---SHARON! & NILLA!----I hope you folks can return to blog soon!!!----WE MISS YOU ALL!!---have you in my thoughts & prayers----POP in soon!!!
Good Morning everyone; Today it's cold, about 9 above. We have a winter storm watch starting at 7pm tonight with 3to6 inches of snow.Yesterday i was picking up limbs in the yard and saw a adult eagle fly over the house. It still had dark feathers on the underside of its head, but its tail was all white.
MORNIN' DANA!!---I see you survived the night!!!---ho!---I haven't checked outside---but do see a flower pot at my kitchen window!!!--WE SHOULD BE SO THANKFUL--OUR ELECTRICTY STAYED ON!!
Wing flapping at Tesoro, under the watchful eye of parent. Those kids are really dark, almost look black now! Belle is still sleeping. Hope she's alright, and just trying to sleep till it warms up a bit!
Norma, have you checked your Flamingo's this morning? I just got the link, and I can view it! Lots of flamingos and ducks and birds, and lots and lots of steam coming off that water! How cool is that.
MORNIN' PAULA!!----I was fussing about how cold it is here---until I read that in several parts of WV----their electric has been on/off!! So decided that would be much worse!!---ho!
I do that too DANA!!---When I was working we went to her town often---I know how special it is in her area----they have all kinds of animals, fish, flowers & EAGLES and other birds!!!----It is so beautiful!!----Forgot to say I LIKE CAROL TOO!!!!! ho!
PAULA! I heard that about Norfolk, or read it on here when I was scanning this morning! How awesome! I sure hope they all hatch for her this year!
I also saw your video of egg number 2 being laid, and it is AWESOME!!! Very cool that you can do that!!
I see where we have a new member, AJ, eagle eye AJ, caught egg number 3 being laid yesterday. How cool.
I just wonder what are the odds of an eagle pair laying 3 eggs 3 years in a row? If I knew where to start looking, I'd like to find that out. But we're also gonna start making a list of future baby sitters, if she has a 4th egg!
Anyhow if there was a picture I missed it. I went back read earlier comments. Coming back into this blog there is the picture "of the 3 eggs" that Janet sent to Steven. Neat O ( : ( :
I'm happy with the '3' eggs!!---If we had 4---remember feeding time--with 3 sometimes---smallest always had to fight for food---unless parent remembers them!----
No Dana, Nilla's pic was not posted as it is now. Cool pic, Nilla! I hope you feel better today too! Man, weekend rolls around and everyone gets sick. Hope you guys take it easy and get healthy again!!!

Ok, thanks, Jo. Just looked like there may have been some sticks added to the side. Thanks for the owl link! Pretty owl!! Norma, those flamingos and ducks make me cold watching them! But they sure seem to be having a good time!
Norma I am happy to see you did in fact see that post about the picture I took from work, before the others that are in fact clearer but yes I did see the three eggs and shared the info on here. I just assumed noone saw the post. It does take a while with the dinosaur computer at work to even get to the page to get the picture and had no emails to get it out so left the message here. I didn't send it to Steve as these others are clearer and better anyway. Didn't take away from the excitement though and AJ had thankfully put us all on alert to watch for it.
The www.NBGS.org garden web site has a map of the garden and the eagle nest is located very near the number 14 on the map which denotes the Rhododendron Glade. The camera is south of the nest tree, so it looks north at the nest and the garden map is layed out with a north orientaion
Fox news just said the 6 prisioners that were involved in 9/11 are going to be charged. They are now in GITMO, but will be authorized legal counsel!! Military counsel. And of course, they are innocent until proved guilty. That should take about a half day or so!!! That's all I gotta say about that.
MORNIN' JIM!!!---My commuter just told me I had to shut down!!!-----It then SHUT DOWN!!---So how are you doing JIM?---Must get a glimpse of little SQUIGGLES!!!
Norma, those flamingos and ducks stay out in the water all day, don't they? Oh, just saw a white one poke at another white one. I didn't know there were white flamingos! They sure are pretty. Seem bigger than the pink ones, too.
Thanks, Norma. Time for me to hit the road. But I have to say, if we get snow and/or ice through the night, I will NOT be in in the morning! Bad enough driving down here in the middle of the night, don't need to do it on snow or ice. All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly! Congrats to Lib and Belle for once again giving us 3 beautiful eggs!!! Hopefully, blog at ya tomorrow.
'Morning, eagle lovers! What a wonderful treat this morning to learn about our third egg! DANA & NORMA, I saw you 2 talking about me. Dana, you are right, I do "watch" a lot without commenting. And, no, Norma, I am not sick. I think you might have thought that by the way Dana wrote her comment. I saw someone mention the Norfolk Botanical Garden. If any of you ever get to the Norfolk area, do check-out the Garden. It is beautiful --- and huge. There is a free bus you can take to ride around the garden, if it's too much walking for you. Their roses were in bloom when I was there several years ago.
CAROL!!----I certainly will go see the nest in Norfolk!!!---Wondering what your weather is like up on the mountain!!---We have warmed to 19°----Isn't it great we have 3 EGGS!!!---- p.s. Did you notice DANA & I only said NICE things about you!!! ho!
Flamingos also get their color from a certain nutrient they eat, if they don't get enough they fade. I forget just what the nutrient is but they get plenty of it in zoos.
Jill - my first thought was shrimp...I wasn't too far off - here's the answer!
Think pink—and orange? With their bright feathers and strongly hooked bills, flamingos are among the most easily recognized waterbirds. Their pink or reddish color comes from the rich sources of carotenoid pigments (like the pigments of carrots) in the algae and small crustaceans that the birds eat. The Caribbean flamingos Phoenicopterus ruber ruber are the brightest, showing their true colors of red, pink, or orange on their legs, bills, and faces.
Thanks Paula. I just remember it being hot and when we got to the Flamingo area there was shade so we sat down to rest and I read the little sign. Knew it had something to do with what they eat. Shrimp are crustaceans so you were very close.
We learn the most interesting things watching eagles, don't we?
NORMA - It's 17 degrees here now. The sun is shining and the wind is calm. Wasn't that wind something last night? A big branch broke off a tree near my house. It missed the roof over my front porch by only inches. And I did notice that you and Dana said only nice things about me - that's because you two are such nice people!
well, time for me to get back to work. Looks like Belle is focused on keeping her little eggs nice and warm today. I don't blame her! Even with the sun shining, it looks cold out there! I will be so glad when Spring comes! :) Talk to ya'll later.
Hi Folks... Yes i went to ER last night and it was packed but waited n waited... Conclusion a Viral Syndrome.. Now what thats is i dont know just and explanation for "YUP YOUR SICK AND GOT EVERY BUG OUT THERE IN YOUR SYSTEM"..LOL I am feeling alittle better today..resting, fluids ect...My sugar was up also.. Hope everyone else who is under the weather is starting to feel better also... BBL back to bed i go.. Thanks Steven for putting the picture on front page but Dana also got the same one at same time...
Glad you went to the ER Janet. Although at least one of the DR. from there is sick with something. Hit him hard the other night. Was joking and having a good time then sick as a dog. He said it was the same symptoms as most of the sick people had come in with. Glad I wasn't sitting directly beside him. But I do have a stuffy head and scratchy throat.
Back up cats needed something to eat... Suz i now have 4 cats... My Himalayan Sugahh Boogaaah and then Kittums and 2 kittens 4 months old Sparkles and Smokey... The kittens are a terror never know what i will find when coming home something is always turned over.. flipped out side ways.. and ripped up..lol Jill i had Dr Larousso he has been there for years.. Very sweet guy and handsome .. I can say seeing him and his chest hair sticking out under that top and him saying he was going to make me better.. WELLLL winkkkk... I am having problems with cam?
Nilla, I have known Dr. Larusso for many years. His son and Joey played soccer together. Very nice man. But I will take Dr. Ellis, much better personality. And he can sing.
Just received an email that the WildWatch Owl cam is up & running! Chuck Gililisco says there are 7-8 eggs! There were only 3 when it went down on Feb 8 - I am anxious for Ms Owl to show how many eggs she has! I need to get a picture.
Something has been moving sticks in the Kent nest. I hope it was the eagles, but maybe it was George. I guess it could be collapsing further, too, but I hope not. The big stick that was across the back isn't there anymore.
It melted a little last Friday, Paula, but the snow is about 15" deep in the back yard, about 12" in the front. (more protection in front) At least it isn't anything like it sounds Glo has.
Deb - I looked at Kent nest but I told Suzanne this morning that the sticks hadn't been moved --- I am glad you see that they have been - Suzanne will appreciate it!
If you get a notice and it is when you will be in Vegas, just call them and let them know. They will work with you on it. They may just have you bring in your paper work beforehand or may postpone it. Depends on Jim's mood at the time.
Ok so Paula give me the time and date we can expect the eggs to hatch??? I just cant think right now to figure it up.. Might have something to do with meds..lol Jill its a great idea for the skate board kids .. there is a church down on Nadenbush that has those big wooden skate ramps set up and alot of skaters go there to ride the ramps... Still having trouble getting the whole cam picture too..
Jill, I am afraid it will come in the mail while we are gone. I guess it is best to call and tell someone of the possibility of us not getting the notice (if it comes).
Yes Wanda, I would call them and tell them that you are afraid it will come while you are gone and you don't want to miss the hearing. Most likely they will reschedule it. OR he could just rule on your part of it without you being there. I think she has already pushed her luck with him. He doesn't forget things like that. Trust me, he is still upset with me for lying to him about my inspection sticker in 1980. LOL
I cant see Wandas pic only a box with x in it? By the way sister is doing great i take her back the 19th to have stitches out and then we are going to ride down to Blackwater,, Jill i got your message on my space also about directions and the road.. Well going to lay down alittle while over doin abit and feeling yucky again.. BBL
Wanda's pic comes and goes. About every other time I check in I can see it. I don't think there is anything she can do to fix it, it is in the blogger software not excepting it all the time.

SD SITE---Room is still MT!!
Eggs turned our nest
Norfolk has the third egg pictures up now in the slideshow
The www.NBGS.org garden web site has a map of the garden and the eagle nest is located very near the number 14 on the map which denotes the Rhododendron Glade. The camera is south of the nest tree, so it looks north at the nest and the garden map is layed out with a north orientaion
I'll BBL.....
Good Morning Iris glad you stopped in. ( :
Jo I love "Mama Owl" she is a beauty...haven't seen her eggs yet will be watching.
Temp has risen to a balmy 19° :)
Fox news just said the 6 prisioners that were involved in 9/11 are going to be charged. They are now in GITMO, but will be authorized legal counsel!! Military counsel. And of course, they are innocent until proved guilty. That should take about a half day or so!!! That's all I gotta say about that.
Squigs is in the tree! Like where else is that little climber gonna be? Coming down from her platform!
GOOD MONDAY MORNING, EVERYBODY...
Thanks for the early reports, Suzanne. Safe drive home, have a great day.
[:~D]
Jim
Yeah, look at ZZ Squiggles now.
[:~)]
Jim
Thanks for the heads up about the 3rd egg posting at NBG, Paula!
Ooops, little stick fell on the eagle...
MORNIN' JIM!!!---My commuter just told me I had to shut down!!!-----It then SHUT DOWN!!---So how are you doing JIM?---Must get a glimpse of little SQUIGGLES!!!
SAFE JOURNEY HOME SUZANNE---LOVE TO "GYPSY" & HER PLAY MATES!!!!
I just noticed there is a recent entry in the Panda blog (news page) in SD. Explains why ZZ has been playing at lower elevations lately.

Jim
Good day, Suz.

SUZANNE---White flamingos are "juvies" as they say in EAGLE TALK--ho!
CAROL!!----I certainly will go see the nest in Norfolk!!!---Wondering what your weather is like up on the mountain!!---We have warmed to 19°----Isn't it great we have 3 EGGS!!!----
p.s. Did you notice DANA & I only said NICE things about you!!! ho!
Hi Jim, didn't mean to miss you! Hope you got some sleep today!
Hi Carol, what a treat, huh?
Norma, didn't know the white ones were juvies! Learned something today, so thanks!!
Ok, now I am outta here. Have a good one, all!
thanks mema jo for the owl link! How beautiful!
bye Suzanne!
time to eat some lunch. BBL.
DANELLE---Just saw you were on now!--Have you heard from SANDY yet?----I think about her often---
Good morning, everyone. It is a snowy day here today. I have a lot of catching up to do, but I at least have the cams up.
That info was from the SD zoo.
Switch - our nest
Divers!
Well, I think that is Belle in the nest now....Lib just left...
Thanks Paula. I just remember it being hot and when we got to the Flamingo area there was shade so we sat down to rest and I read the little sign. Knew it had something to do with what they eat. Shrimp are crustaceans so you were very close.
We learn the most interesting things watching eagles, don't we?
Deer in PA, in the daylight!
NORMA-no I haven't heard from Sandy yet. I do worry about her.
Everyone, have a good day. Talk to you later.
[:~)]
Jim
NORMA - It's 17 degrees here now. The sun is shining and the wind is calm. Wasn't that wind something last night? A big branch broke off a tree near my house. It missed the roof over my front porch by only inches. And I did notice that you and Dana said only nice things about me - that's because you two are such nice people!
Well-I wouldn't have learned that today if others weren't discussing it! Thanks, good people!
Hi and Bye, Jim!!
well, time for me to get back to work. Looks like Belle is focused on keeping her little eggs nice and warm today. I don't blame her! Even with the sun shining, it looks cold out there! I will be so glad when Spring comes! :) Talk to ya'll later.
Hi all and Bye all! I just popped in to see if everything is okay! I see that it is very cold in some places. Keep warm, m'dear friends!
I've got to walk the doggies now, so I'll say b'bye! Have a grand day, everyone.

Glad you went to the ER Janet. Although at least one of the DR. from there is sick with something. Hit him hard the other night. Was joking and having a good time then sick as a dog. He said it was the same symptoms as most of the sick people had come in with. Glad I wasn't sitting directly beside him. But I do have a stuffy head and scratchy throat.
nillawafer-so glad to hear that you are feeling better! Please get some rest. :)
Does anyone else get this message when they try to look at the PA wildlife cam.......
This site has been suspended
Yes, Nilla, some of the pics are having problems getting through today...
Me too, Jo. Must not have paid his website hosting bill...
Nilla, I have known Dr. Larusso for many years. His son and Joey played soccer together. Very nice man. But I will take Dr. Ellis, much better personality. And he can sing.
Okay ladies I have a spelling question. Is it "squealing or squeeling"? I think the local tv station can't spell but I could be wrong.
It is squealing.
I agree Deb. Never heard of Squeeling.
NILLA, so glad you saw a doc and are on your way to getting better.
LOL, PAULA, I was thinking the same thing. It does look like an Official problem.
Just received an email that the WildWatch Owl cam is up & running!
Chuck Gililisco says there are 7-8 eggs! There were only 3 when it went down on Feb 8 - I am anxious for Ms Owl to show how many eggs she has! I need to get a picture.
Glad you are on here Jill. If we got a notice to appear in court for the J. case and we are in Vegas, would they come after us?
I was hoping I was right!
The weather man just upped the snow from 2-4" to over 6". Schools are canceling evening events, because of the cold and snow. Hurry up spring!!
it is Squealing Jill...
Something has been moving sticks in the Kent nest. I hope it was the eagles, but maybe it was George. I guess it could be collapsing further, too, but I hope not. The big stick that was across the back isn't there anymore.
Wanda - I can't see your avatar any more.
Deb - how much was on the ground before this last batch started?
Jill i think its squealing is correct BUT here in WV its sqweelin.. ya know like apig is sqweelin? Yes im feeling better folks..lol
Well, Paula, you taught me how to make it twinkle; now you will have to teach me how to make it re-appear.LOL ( I can see it)
It melted a little last Friday, Paula, but the snow is about 15" deep in the back yard, about 12" in the front. (more protection in front) At least it isn't anything like it sounds Glo has.
well all, it's time for me to drag my rear to the gym and then to home. I hope ya'll have a good evening!
Love,
Danelle
The last 5-6 winters have been really nice, that makes this one seem like it is lasting forever.
BWE seems to be up & running ok now
Deb - I looked at Kent nest but I told Suzanne this morning that the sticks hadn't been moved --- I am
glad you see that they have been - Suzanne will appreciate it!
Channel 25 news spelled in squeeling. Just didn't look right to me. Guess spell check is broken on their computer. LOL
Wanda, I see your avatar just fine.
If you get a notice and it is when you will be in Vegas, just call them and let them know. They will work with you on it. They may just have you bring in your paper work beforehand or may postpone it. Depends on Jim's mood at the time.
Hey Now! I can't see Wanda's avatar!
Raise you hand if you CAN see Wanda's avatar!
I thought so - Jill you are seeing
optical illusions!!! lol
UH-OH. It's gone now. POOF It was there, now it isn't.
Wait, it's back. Wanda stop that. LOL
Jill, I am afraid it will come in the mail while we are gone. I guess it is best to call and tell someone of the possibility of us not getting the notice (if it comes).
I'll let you be my Stand-In. LOL
Janet, Zach goes down there a lot in the summer. They are open on weekends during the summer.
LOL...I guess my Avatar has a weak signal.
LOL
35 days from 1st estimated egg laid would be March 8-9
Speaking of which...I'll be getting the hatching poll up shortly...
Searching in VA for Mom or Dad
I cant see Wandas pic only a box with x in it? By the way sister is doing great i take her back the 19th to have stitches out and then we are going to ride down to Blackwater,, Jill i got your message on my space also about directions and the road.. Well going to lay down alittle while over doin abit and feeling yucky again.. BBL
Early dinner tonight! BBL
Looks like Belle is catching a couple of zzzz's
Did get a pic of Ms Owl at the WildWatch Hotel & she has 4 eggs.
Email from Chuck Gibilisco - WildWatchCam coordinator
Hello Jo,
Over the weekend staff are not available to reset cameras or servers but
Owl cam 1 is up and owl cam 2 should be on soon with 7-8 eggs.
Chuck Gibilisco
WildWatchCam coordinator
I think Chuck meant that the final clutch could be 7 to 8 eggs....
One year they had 6!
Good gosh, Jo - will they all hatch?
Normally, yes. Don't know why they have so many - GHO usually only has
two.
Both eagles just flew into PH. Very vocal!!
One eagle still at PH eating some dinner.
Wanda's pic comes and goes. About every other time I check in I can see it. I don't think there is anything she can do to fix it, it is in the blogger software not excepting it all the time.
Eagle is done eating at PH.
Buck at PA cam, just moved off screen, but there is another deer in the trees. He must of cleared up the problem with his site.
After commerical
Channel 9 news is about to talk about Penquins In Peril.. :(
Wanda will have to find her valentine avatar!
