Good morning everyone. It is snowing in Bluefield and it is really hard to say how much we are going to get. We have about 2 inches now and the heavy snow warning is in effect in 6 a.m. tomorrow.

We aren't expecting anything more than a few snow showers Friday at least for the rest of this week. It is 33°right now.
Good morning. Hmmm lets see snow. I remember snow. I am in between snow storms. I need to decide now before a cup of coffee whether to try to walk across the street, or drive across the street for coffee and dog treats. I do have path shoveled but it got very cold last night so my path is now a ocmbination of ice and snow. I do have cat litter on the path and am just waiting for the neighborhood cats to stop by. Lucky for me I think most of them have been in the house all winter.

Yes Wanda The dogs and I head over to a enighbors for coffee and dog treats every morning...I think someone asked if they don't have money over there for donuts HEEE HEEEE. And now that one of my dogs is on a special diet I actually bring the dog treats over with me.

Yep, Norma, only a chance of snow showers here today. This is the first winter I can remember when we didn't get enough snow to go sledding. But now I'm ready for Spring. Long, slow process in Boonsboro, luckily library and town hall just suffered smoke damage, the other 3 buildings are a real mess. Looks very strange there right now.

Good morning, Glo, Norma, and Megan. Nice to see everyone here this morning. Norma, just head some news downstairs, Senator Byrd went to the hospital yesterday. He fell Monday, and was in some pain, but I think he's going to be released later today. He's 91! Hope if I live that long, I'm in as good a shape as he is!
When did the PA cam come back? I couldn't get it the last couple of days. First they get an award, then they get suspended, then I got not found for days. Now it's back. Let's hope it stays for a while this time!
TAI is now curled up snoozing on "HIS GRATE" under the evergreen tree!!!----HE IS SO COOL!!

Bluefield looks like a winter wonderland
Mits, it sure does look like a winter wonderland. I went to the store yesterday and got the necessities. I have no intention of leaving this house today.
Last night, something kept blowing a fuse in my house and the lights kept going out. Thank God for Beverly's husband Tom. He came out and fixed it for me. Also, my furnace had been out for a week and I had to get a new part yesterday and he fixed that too.

FYI, I'm 90% sure that Chrissy lives in Devonshire, which is on the opposite side of where the quake is.
(I only think that because we talked about how close she lives to places in my ancestry)
Wishing good weather to everyone, supposed to be 80 degrees today. That's right, EIGHTY! WooHoo!! It's usually 90 by the end of March.. Baby bird season is about a week away now :)
I have back problems too (remember when I was on PERKY-SET, longtimers??) and actually threw it out again about two weeks ago (Demerol & Skelaxin this time, woohoooweeee!!). a day or two of bedrest is not uncommon, but longer than that can actually hinder recovery. mine is doing a lot better but i know it's not right. i hope hers is not really bad...
found some interesting pictures on the net i'll send them around soon :) my pc died a horrible death a couple of weeks ago so i'm using hubby's pc until i can rebuild mine and get my hard drives back! {sigh}

unless Chrissy was on that side of England for some reason, I'm pretty sure she is just fine. The quake was on the opposite side of the country from where she lives, if I remember correctly..
MITS: I had a really bad kidney infection and had to go to the ER last fall (on my wedding anniversary,no less) and they gave me Percocet again but this time I started to hallucinate after about three doses -- Codeine makes me do that after one. No more Perky-set for me! The Demerol actually was ok after a few doses...
But to be honest, I'd rather not have any reason to take pain meds to begin with!!

Helen, they also have Bai and ZZ on SD cam this morning. Love watching these guys! In fact, have my Bai and ZZ earings on this morning! since I didn't get to see Tai grow up, but can see ZZ, bought mom and baby panda earings. So I have Bai and ZhenZhen on this morning.

I was just reading and the first eagle last year was on the nest March 15th, two eggs spotted on the 26th.
Eagle left BC.
Ms Owl has a frozen cam again at WildWatch.
Mama Cali is turning her 3 eggs - she is huge!
Mama Valmont is in the sunshine with no snow in her nest box.

Watching BC - One eagle in egg well - got up - I thought maybe an egg but then other eagle flew in & both are mainly deepening the egg well.

Been out of the office, having a conversation with my cube mate. Evidentally we have a neighbor that thinks he's the listen and tell police. Did not know that, but sure do now.
Gonna hit the road. All have a great eagle/panda day. Hopefully, no snow tomorrow, so I'll be here.
