Wanda, next year you will have to come out and watch the line of motorcycles that ride. It is a awesome sight to see so many people helping the vets. It is a great cause and a little rain never hurt anybody. Although, I was beginning to wonder if I would ever be dry again. LOL
Thanks for the new thread, Steve. Our babies did not make an appearance today! Thanks for the heads up, Glo. Hope you have a wonderful day. Chicken, huh CostumeLady? I couldn't tell, but it's a good size!
JILL I think you inlanders got more rain then we did at the coast, but they did postpone the Nascar race at Dover from yesterday til today. I'm heading up to the outlets in Rehoboth today got to get a wedding shower gift for this Saturday. Hopefully my COMCAST man will come tomorrow on time and fix this thing, could not even get into my e-mails last night, didn't even try to get on blog. JILL glad you were riding for our VETS, any thing we can do for them is great. You should come down to the ocean in Sept, during Bike Week
Good Morning Everyone Soggy grass out there & I am so thankful for the rain! Bet Megan is also. Headed out shortly and will return late afternoon. Checked cams & all is well. Lisa-BW-has Eagle Cam Web Log update - Very interesting
GOOD MORNING MITS, PAULA, JO JIM-- MITS--A few years ago, we were in Myrtle Beach when the Bikers were there. It was awesome and they had some beautiful bikes but the noise was deafening. Thousands and thousands of ALL kinds of bikes and riders. Don't want to experience that again. Streets blocked off to traffic--couldn't get into restaurants (full of Bikers)
Morning, Paula and Jo. Mits, I'm still getting no video on the osprey cam. Seems since those babies hatched, I'm getting no video more than video. I'll keep trying. Jo, your burrowing owls are out on both cams.
Happy Birthday Dana! Didn't make it to BW this weekend so no new pics. Lisa posted a new eagle weblog with some interesting info on eagles coming off the endangered list. A couple of the shots there are mine.
WANDA yes, they are noisy, but the local businesses embrace them because they generate so much income...couple years ago it was as much as 8 million dollars, so, we grin and bear it.
I had a busy and bittersweet weekend. My beautiful boy graduated Friday night. Had a cookout for him on Saturday. This morning at 6:30 a.m., he hit the road to St. Louis. He actually called me a few minutes ago from their halfway point. I didn't figure he would call until they pulled back into the driveway.
I miss everybody on here terribly. I hope all is well!!
Mits, I would love to come to bike week but hubby doesn't want to. Doesn't like crowds. But always wants to go to Myrtle Beach Bike week. Figure that one out. LOL. I will be at the beach July 1-5, if you are going to be there maybe we can get together.

Glad to see you are back Norma was starting to think I had to drive across that mountain to find you. LOL. Not sure what I would have done once I got there. Stood in the town square and yelled NORMA!!!!!!!, I guess. LOL
Thank you Jo. And yes gals in the past three months I have been to round trip Idaho. Round trip Utah twice . Round trip Los Angeles twice. Its time for an oil change and a rest.I had my grand daughter with me on one trip. I guess I have never thought about it. I have done it all my adult life. And a state trooper sounds just nice right about now. :)
Oh my, Norma I just looked at the storks! They look healthy! Mom trying to nap - they are being a little bit quiet. At times they do sound like a little whining puppy dog. Wow, one just did a poop shoot for me!
HEY JILL---Did you SURVIVE the "HOLIDAY WEEKEND"?----How many did you all arrest??----MITS--you & WANDA need to be careful when you come to WV (eastern panhandle)----JILL W/throw you in jail!!!----She can do that----ho! ho!---
JILL that is COOL you & husband rode your bikes in the RIDE FOR VA!!!
Watching Mrs Loon and little loon rocking on their nest platform. The WA osprey had brought in clumps of sod (which is now green) to their nest just like the BW ones did.
MITS---I think I saw the "LITTLE PRINCE"----He seems to like the water----How does he stand this heat!!!!----I think the ATLANTA BEAUTY spends most of her time inside during these "warm" days!!!!
PROUD SHARON----Forgot to ask if ANDREW is going to spend the summer in ST. LOUIS or just vacation time?????---Guess it won't be long until he becomes a "College Man"---How does that sound?-----COOL---ENJOY!!!
Norma, the holiday weekend was nasty. I forget now how many I had. Like 20. I know in court on Wednesday they had 180. But that was traffic tickets too.
The VA run was motorcycles and we only have one. I enjoy riding but have no desire to actually drive the thing. LOL
Check out Larry's Blog and the loon announcement under the picture. There is an egg in the nest, which is keeping the baby in the nest longer than usual. But they think the egg is not viable, so on Wednesday they will remove the egg. MTBR
This is fascinating. The baby climbs under the mother's wing. It just tried to climb on her back, but fell over. Then it went back under the other wing.
Its like watching a toddler. So sweet. Also dad was in the picture for a minute. Boy that water is giving them a ride for their money. Kind of rough today. Babe doesnt seem to care. He is busy pulling moms feathers.
Hi Jim It has been a quiet evening here on the blog. Almost as quiet as your computer fan lol. Good news - My solider in Afghanistan should be home this Thursday. I just want to cry about it, I'm so thankful!
Jo, check out the loon cam. And thanks for the return from Afghanistan. God bless them and their families. Tom is clear of MRCA, thank God, so surgery can be scheduled. The loons are wonderful.
Good Night Sandra - I see Fidget! They are taking the loon's egg this Wed. Most importantly is that I am so thankful prayers were answered and that Tom can now have the surgery. I bet you have a very peaceful sleep tonight! TTUT
NORMAwhat are you doing up this late???? Jo, that is wonderful news, I wish everyone was coming home with him, but if we keep praying, maybe it will happen. Sandra, glad to see Tom is cleared for surgery, you have had quite a few months. I have not been on any cams today except a quick glance at Tai, yes, NORMA, he loves the water. Just remember they give them the option to go out or go in, so as long as the are eating and resting, they are doing fine....GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE!
Good morning, eagle world! Just now logging on, boss came in early and everybody has been talking! Geesh, logged on in time to see our kids, and the cam is down! Bummer! Couldn't see them on a bet. Beautiful outside, our blue moon is now a 3/4 moon, and playing hide-'n-seek behind the clouds, so you may or may not see it. 67° at my house, 70° here. Georgous out! Will try to read blogs if I have time. Our nest is kaput, BW, both nests MT, but osprey cam is back up! Haven't checked other cams yet, will shortly. All have a great eagle day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Dang, had to refresh about a dozen times, but you can almost get a pic. Both still there. got some pics, will send them out later. Cam is really bad this morning.
Both still there hanging around. Lib on perch...sorta, and Belle has her head down by the tree. Now Lib moved ovewr by Belle. He's on the take off perch, she's still by tree.
Ok, on 3...heads down. Man, they did that together. Both are looking at something in nest. No, Lib left, Belle still there, but she has her head down still, just over where Lib had his.
Still standing by tree looking around. Looks like they have more leaves in the nest again. Hum, wonder if we can get them to come up and trim the leaves that are gonna block the cam soon. Still there.
Still there, just moving her head to look around. Same with the osprey, just moving head. Man, it's so nice to see these guys! Storks chicks were outside walking around the nest a few sec's ago, they are getting big, and they are so cute.
Now we have both lines, psychadelic and black. Geesh, but you can see Belle's white head through the lines. PA falcons on ledge and bar by nest box. Dang, now we have psycho spots! good grief, I'm gonna go blind!
BW chcklet finally has head up. Can't see what he was/is eating. Head back down. Both ospreys just hanging around. Female in nest, male on side. Belle still there. Oh, good pic!!
Belle still standing in center of nest. Psycho lines. Female osprey moved over to side of nest by male. Eaglet still in nest, has head down. Benicia owls are doing wing flaps in nest box. Black and white lines on cam now. Grrrrrrr
Cam pic is terrible, but you can still see Belle through all the lines. BW eaglet very intent on whatever he is eating. Osprey's just standing on side of nest.
BW eaglet has rearranged the sticks to his satisfaction, so he has moved on to other adventures today. Belle now standing facing tree. Prelude to her leaving, I guess.
BW eaglet all alone, but guess he like to mantle! Male osprey still on side of nest. Can see absolutely nothing now on our cam, pic is getting worse. Benicia owls are doing wing flaps, falcons exploring ledge, pic back on our cam...sorta. Belle in same position, but perch in middle of nest. Stork babies are having a conversation with parent, who is ignoring them and grooming.
Morning, CostumeLady. I'll bet it is! Love to watch the sunrise in Kent. As per normal, can't get the loon cam here, uses Media Player, which I don't have.
SUZ I didn't know you couldn't see the Loon. She is beautiful and baby is adorable. Yes, the sunrise we see in Kent each morning is special, the way it comes in through the tree. Very similar with the Loon nest. Shines on it like a spotlight. Isn't nature beautiful?
It sure is, CostumeLady! Absolutely georgous! Both BW chicks are talking in the nest. Male osprey has now moved into the nest from the side. 3 of the 4 falcons are sleeping on their sides on the ledge. Benicia owls are catching a catnap, and our cam is now black. No, perfect pic on this refresh.
Male osprey still hanging around in nest. BW and our nest MT. Falcons taking a cat nap on ledge, getting dawn in WA, one adult in tree at Kent, one adult standing by side of WA osprey nest, some baby storks awake, other snoozing, and have seen no activity in bluebird nest all morning. WildWatch barn owl cam is down, and still too early for the burrowing owls cams to be up.
Morning, Robynann. Owlets sure are growing fast. They were doing wing flaps this morning in the nest box. Think that box is only big enough now for 1 to practice at a time!
What in the world is on the WA osprey nest? Almost looks like a sea anchor or something. They're great fishermen, but I doubt they could lift an anchor to take to the nest. Whatever it is, is sure is big. See parent on babies, but don't see babies. Both BW eaglets are in nest talking to each other.

Uh oh, good morning, Mits. Didn't see you.
Hey Mits, get a little rain last night? It poured here for about 1/2 hour. Then let up and rained lightly most of the night.
Good Monday morning, everybody..
I hope you are enjoying the benefits of the rain. So Cal could definitely use some of that.
Have a stupendous week,
Jim

Both eaglets in BW for a visit.
Good grief, wing flaps in PA already! Geesh, first Kent now PA. They sure grow fast!
Kent eaglets are being fed again. One eaglet was standing over whatever it is, like he was gonna take a bite, so guess parent decided to feed them.
Both BW eaglets are talking and exploring the nest together. Neither has food, so they're buddies again. Well, no sooner typed than 1 leaves! Geesh.
Spirit just arrived in Kent. Both chicks were squaking and not being patient, so he came in to give Star a hand. Now each parent is feeding a chick.
Star just went to the tree, the chicks were watching her.
Still eating at Kent - one parent feeding, other on branch above

Norma, the holiday weekend was nasty. I forget now how many I had. Like 20. I know in court on Wednesday they had 180. But that was traffic tickets too.
The VA run was motorcycles and we only have one. I enjoy riding but have no desire to actually drive the thing. LOL
Heidigirl--

thank you costume lady
Fantastic, I have never seen one before. I have heard their sound in movies but thats all. They are beautiful and how many chicks does she have?
Check out Larry's Blog and the loon announcement under the picture. There is an egg in the nest, which is keeping the baby in the nest longer than usual. But they think the egg is not viable, so on Wednesday they will remove the egg. MTBR
thank you Sandy I will
This is fascinating. The baby climbs under the mother's wing. It just tried to climb on her back, but fell over. Then it went back under the other wing.

Good Night all. I'm so tired I'm fuzzy. I'm headed for home a hot shower and a soft bed. I'll be back tomorrow when I've gained some more steam.
Good evening, all...
Jim
Hi Jim It has been a quiet evening here on the blog. Almost as quiet as your computer fan lol.
Good news - My solider in Afghanistan should be home this Thursday. I just want to cry about it, I'm so thankful!
BW eaglet has been there most of the evening - he has had a very busy day you would think by looking at how he is just sprawled flat out!
Jo, check out the loon cam. And thanks for the return from Afghanistan. God bless them and their families. Tom is clear of MRCA, thank God, so surgery can be scheduled. The loons are wonderful.
Good night, all.
Good Night Sandra - I see Fidget! They are taking the loon's egg this Wed. Most importantly is that I am so thankful prayers were answered and that Tom can now have the surgery.
I bet you have a very peaceful sleep tonight! TTUT
Calling it a good day....
Good Night All My Eagle Buddies
Pleasant dreams with peaceful sleep
Prayers being said for all of you
Good Morning Suzanne
Our kids didn't even stop by this evening!Guess the nest was too wet
GOOD A.M. EAGLE BUDDIES----SUZANNE----HELLO TO YOU!----LATER---ho!
Good Night everybody. Good morning early risers.

Our nest is kaput, BW, both nests MT, but osprey cam is back up! Haven't checked other cams yet, will shortly.
All have a great eagle day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
OMG, BOTH in nest, looks like their beaking! You can almost see them.
Dang, had to refresh about a dozen times, but you can almost get a pic. Both still there. got some pics, will send them out later. Cam is really bad this morning.
Still there, cam is clearing up!
Both still there hanging around. Lib on perch...sorta, and Belle has her head down by the tree. Now Lib moved ovewr by Belle. He's on the take off perch, she's still by tree.
Now both standing side by side on launch pad.
Ok, on 3...heads down. Man, they did that together. Both are looking at something in nest. No, Lib left, Belle still there, but she has her head down still, just over where Lib had his.
Belle head back up, looking over launch pad.
Looks like she's ready to depart now. Darn.
No, she just moved to the launch pad. Sure was nice to see them this morning!!!
Crap! Pycho lines again, but can see Belle through them!
Dang, clear pic, Belle gone, MT nest. But did see them for a few minutes this morning, that is always nice. I'll send pics shortly.
Osprey in nest, but your guess is as good as mine as to who it is.
EAGLE ALERT!! Someone just arrived back in the nest. That's unusual, 2nd visit this morning!
Looks like our one legged faker female in the osprey nest, she's facing the cam. Our nest still occupied, looks like Belle.
Belle still standing pretty, standing in center of nest, looking out at 9.
Back in her spot by the tree. Osprey still standing there on her one leg looking around.
Still standing by tree looking around. Looks like they have more leaves in the nest again. Hum, wonder if we can get them to come up and trim the leaves that are gonna block the cam soon.
Still there.
Belle still standing by tree. Osprey still standing in same spot looking around.
Still there, just moving her head to look around. Same with the osprey, just moving head. Man, it's so nice to see these guys!
Storks chicks were outside walking around the nest a few sec's ago, they are getting big, and they are so cute.
Belle still there, osprey still there. Can't get barn owl cam to refresh. Dang, here come those psycho lines again!
Ok, psycho lines went away, now we have a lot of black lines. Belle still there, though.
Now we have both lines, psychadelic and black. Geesh, but you can see Belle's white head through the lines.
PA falcons on ledge and bar by nest box. Dang, now we have psycho spots! good grief, I'm gonna go blind!
Refreshing doesn't work! Darn.
Our ospey has her head back, first one leg, now no head. Wierd/
Osprey head popped up. Belle still there.
Belle still there. Osprey still there. BW parent has just arrived, following next refresh by 2 chicks! Must have food...
Our mantling expert eaglet is doing just that...mantling all over the nest. Belle still there. Osprey still there.
BRB.
Belle is still in nest! Ospreys were mating! What's that about at this time of year!! One eaglet still in BW nest, head down.
You can almost see Belle through the psycho and black lines. Standing in middle of nest.
Female osprey just took off. Eaglet and Belle still in nests.
Bw eaglet is now doing nestorations, moving sticks. Male osprey just standing around, and believe it or not, Belle is still there!!!
Our little brown falcons are wandering all over the ledge. Eaglet is all over the nest.
Belle is still in nest, but barely visible.
BW eaglet has rearranged the sticks to his satisfaction, so he has moved on to other adventures today.
Belle now standing facing tree. Prelude to her leaving, I guess.
Still by tree, you can see a white head through the lines. But that's all you can see!!!
Now she's back by perch. I don't buy this! She doesn't go back and forth like that. Think pic is on a loop...through the bloody lines!
Pic, bad as it is, still shows Belle by the tree, but I still think the pic is looping somehow.
Pic is showing Belle back by perch, but again, not sure this isn't looping.
Male osprey still hanging around side of nest.
BW parent and mantling chick back.
Mantling chick is still mantling, but looking at parent, like, am I doing this right???? Oops, parent just left, chick still mantling.
Bw sibling arrived, time to mantle again!
GOOD MORNING SUZ
Check out the Loon. Sunrise on the nest with Mom and Baby is spectacular!
Our nest appears MT on one refresh, Belle still there on another refresh. But both refreshes, pic is terrible, so who knows?
Morning, CostumeLady. I'll bet it is! Love to watch the sunrise in Kent. As per normal, can't get the loon cam here, uses Media Player, which I don't have.
Oh good...now that we have an MT nest, we have a decent pic!
SUZ
I didn't know you couldn't see the Loon.
Wow, thanks for the reset NCTC, if that's what happened. Perfect pic! MT, but perfect pic.
Bw eaglets are moving sticks...working together. Too cute.
BW chicks have finished nestorations for now, both gone again.
Good morning Suzanne, Wanda,
Such a beautiful day out, breezy, dr.
I see there are 2 MIA in Va., I have not seen all 3 together in 2 days has anyone else?
The owlets are growing fast Suzanne, I couldn't see much last nght till I opened the still camera.
Have a wonderful day all
GOOD MORNING ROBYNANN
Did you ever find out what kind of bird that was that you saw the other day?
Morning, Robynann. Owlets sure are growing fast. They were doing wing flaps this morning in the nest box. Think that box is only big enough now for 1 to practice at a time!
What in the world is on the WA osprey nest? Almost looks like a sea anchor or something. They're great fishermen, but I doubt they could lift an anchor to take to the nest. Whatever it is, is sure is big. See parent on babies, but don't see babies.
Both BW eaglets are in nest talking to each other.
Kent eaglets are doing wing flaps!
One eaglet just left, one still there.
Adult bird in bluebird nest.
adult gone from bluebird nest. BW eaglets both gone. Lost my WA osprey cam...no video. Dang!
Working on pics from this morning's visit. Be a minute. Got busy.
