Good dry morning. No rain since last night. But a big band out there

Good morning! Do not blow away, Judy! Nor float out to sea!😜

Laurel has been dealing with the teacher situation for a while. Yes, administration knows. That is why she was on leave for several months last year. Hard to get rid of a teacher.

79 and sun shiney here! Yard is looking beautiful! Usually this time of year the lawn "down front" is quite brown, but this year it is green, thick, and hard to mow! However, thrilled to be in September!

Expecting Fritz family for dinner Sunday. Going to celebrate Jacob's 12th birthday. His birthday is actually the 8th, but since it is during the week we decided to celebrate Sunday. Called Michael, he did not answer, left a message and he has not responded. His unacceptable behavior continues. Grrrrr! Well, going to proceed without him!

Plans continue for our trip. All RV reservations are made. Sunday, Oct 16, going to party (visit) on Wanda's deck. No time set. Hope to see some of you!❤️ Getting lots of good advise for places to eat lobster and lobster rolls in New England!

Good late morning everyone. Just stopping by to say hello. Found out Monday while visiting one of my golfer buddies I had not seen for a few years. That another one of my golfer buddies passed away in April. He had moved to Arizona. Pretty sad news. Also hope everyone near the bad weather makes out safely. Talk later and take care all.

back to raining again Little over a inch since it started We were twelve hours no rain Which was good gave time for drainage
And they are pumping the storm water out of the drains in Largo and dumping in the bay. Their storm drains are acting like little volcanoes spewing water up out of the manholes and the are asking not to do laundry or dishwasher because the pumps aren't able to keep up with all the rain besides the normal

Good afternoon my eagle friends. Rainy day here - started around 6:30am and has continued off and on all day. Just enough thunder to get Janey worked into a tizzy. Potter isn't bothered by thunder or rain - still wanted his 10:30am walk.

No update on Potter's adoption. Yesterday Gail - the GPA-DE foster coordinator - drove to WV to pick up 5 more dogs; they will be arriving in DE this evening and will go to their foster homes over the weekend. That will make 12 greyhounds available for adoption - greyt supply, not much demand.

Judy, I hope you and your house stay safe and dry!

Lolly, your statement is so true - it is indeed hard to get rid of a teacher, even a bad one!

Lori, I hope you are feeling better each day.

Checking and I see still on same thread, Few posts here and there. I am sorry. :(
Hurricane is bearing down on the Florida coast and I really wish I could be somewhere near.

Bella update, 7lbs 7 oz, 13.5 in head now, 20 in long. She is growing! She is a eater. Jess is having to supplement with formula. Switched her to Similac Sensitive because Bella threw up the other stuff.

Toby has been to the vet...Diabetes is the answer for him peeing int he house. My slowness getting him to the vet has apparently deemed me a unfit pet owner, a animal abuser according to someone of FB. Oh and since I am so broke, I shouldnt have a pet. I am far from that, but hey each to their own opinion. The vet said it is his genetic makeup, not anything I ever did with him or his food. He wasnt the worse they seen and he is responding well to treatment. Stupid girl said I should have been putting aside 10$ a month for vet bill... gee, what world does she live in? 10$ a month at a tune of $800, HE still would be sitting waiting on a vet! I guess she is rich or has more than one income, doesnt have her grown family living with her , or maybe her house is paid for, or maybe she even divorced her husband and was awarded everything for free.... she shouldnt really judge me or anyone else and maybe take a walk in someone else's shoes for a change.
Ughhh sorry guys , just had to vent. I could really just scream.
lessoned learned, dont put anthing on FB. haha

HOpe all is well and everyone is ok with the impending weather along the coast.

Carolyn,

I am so glad that you found out the cause for Toby's problem. Now you know what to do to take care of him.

Goodness, please do not let that person get to you. I did not see her comments, but I can see that you are upset. You are a wonderful pet parent. Just put her out of your mind.

Hello, Everyone!

Well, I didn't get back here when I wanted to, because our cable company was having (apparently) MAJOR problems yesterday! We couldn't get on the internet, couldn't send or receive e-mails, and our WiFi was not working, even after rebooting the router. Wow, being off the grid for a day sure wasn't any fun! Good thing I was caught up scheduling bill payments online!

Gosh, Judy, I'm glad you got a break in the rain, so it could all soak in! Hope the rain lessens for you, and you can keep your head above water! If you'd like, you could send a bit of that wetness to Southern California! Oh--got our fall bulletin from the City yesterday, and the water conservation we've had in place for the summer is working--we can now water our yard THREE days a week!
I ran right out and added a day to our sprinkler schedule! Yippee! Maybe our lawn won't be quite so brown in spots!

Jerry, so sorry to hear about your loss of a friend. ((HUGS))!!

Carolyn, I'm glad you found out what's ailing Toby, and that he's responding well to treatment. Please don't let some fool on Facebook get you down! We all know you far better than they do, and you are an excellent pet parent! Just don't give it another thought!

Lori, hope you're feeling better today!

Sandi, glad to hear that Potter doesn't mind thunder & lightning. TWO greyhounds freaking out might be a bit much! Maybe some of his calmness will rub off on Janey!

Well, better go make myself presentable. We are going to visit our friends, Jim & Darlene Wilkoski, today. Will try to get back here with an update tonight.
Have a great RED FRIDAY, everyone! I ♥ us!!!

Good late afternoon everyone.

My precautionary tale for the day involves an old fool -me! I was outside filling bird feeders the last of the seed and noticed the birdbath needed water. I filled that, then noticed my quasi compost pile was awfully dry and proceeded to put some water on that too. Soon I noticed bees coming out of the pile. I said to myself, bees don't live in the ground and kept hosing the bees. I'm not someone who runs and screams when wildlife of any form appears, but this time I should have. I was stung on the side of my nose. Wooee, that hurt. And it still does. The site isn't even red or swollen, but it feels like it should be. I guess these weren't honey bees, but I thought they were when I was watering then. Lesson learned.

Sorry to hear about your friend Jerry.

My birding friend and I went to a nearby state park yesterday and we were lucky to see 3 or 4 varieties of birds. On our way home we stopped by the eagles nest to see if it seemed to still be in good repair, it was. Near the eagles nest is a lake, and while looking for ducks, an osprey flew by and we saw it catch a fish and eat its catch. That was our bird of the day.

Lolly said...

Good afternoon!

Sounds like yellow jackets. They make nest in the ground. We have old railroad ties in landscape. I stepped on one working in the yard. Yellow jackets came swarming out! Over 20 stings for me! This was several years ago. I am allergic to wasps but was not sure about the yellow jackets. Used my Epipen and drove myself to the ER. Not allergic to them, thank goodness! Boy, was I a mess!

Beautiful day here! Presently 84....awesome! Everything is so green. Quite unusual for this time of the year!

Jack has a cousin who has a beach house at Horseshoe beach, Florida. Their house is raised so it is okay, but everything on ground level is gone. Storage shed with lawn mower and gold cart...gone. Such a mess. Wondering about Judy and water!

stronghunter said...

Yellow jackets are nasty little critters. They build impressive nests in the ground and will sting you just because they are in a bad mood. I am sure pouring water on them would put them in an especially ugly frame of mind. We had quite a few of them when we first moved to Fredericksburg. Our house was built in an area that had been wooded. Trees were saved, but so were the yellow jackets and they took exception to our presence in their territory.

Some of them came into our house with my husband, Cy. They did not approve of the fact he was mowing grass. One of them was angry enough to seek out Kathryn and sting her. They are very aggressive.

stronghunter said...

I enjoyed a nice conversation with Hoda last night. I was experimenting with my phone about midnight when I realized I had called her. I was looking at all of those little green circles that show who is online and managed to touch the phone icon. Good that I picked someone in an area where it was only about nine o'clock. :)

Kitties are asking for their dinner. Cheeto is trying to walk on the keyboard. Must go.

AZPatti said...

Afternoon, all! SOOOOO happy it's a long weekend! The only plans we have are nothing work-related; only play. We'll just take it as it comes.

Jewels, so glad Toby is doing better. Are you having to give him insulin shots? Jackpot was diabetic and he had to have a shot every 12 hours. We didn't realize how hard on us keeping that schedule was until we no longer had to keep it. But we wouldn't kept that schedule 'til the cows came home if it would've kept him around longer. Please don't pay that person on fb any mind. Like you said, walk a mile in my shoes before making comments like that.

Jerry, sorry about your golfing buddy.

JudyE, glad you're above water. Enjoy your girls night with Jordyn.

Sandi, we use Rescue Remedy for Zena's anxiety with thunderstorms (and trips to the groomer). It's a natural blend, comes in liquid form with an eye dropper. Works absolute wonders. We try to give it to her before the thunder starts but we're not always successful. But it even helps if she's already "worked up". Recently, we've had a couple of very mild storms and she didn't even need it. Here's a copy-and-paste link for you. We get it at our local health food store.

http://www.bachrescueremedypet.com/about/what-is-rescue-pet/

Lynne, glad you came out of that battle with only one sting. We have yellow jackets around here, too. So much so that our local high school's mascot is the yellow jacket. I agree with Shirley, nasty little critters.

Lolly, how many more sleeps until your trip? :-)

Off to start the weekend. Have a couple of errands to run first but then it's only going to get better!

JUDYE: I too laughed at you "boxing" up some rain. hmmm. maybe zippy bags next time?

YELLOW JACKETS....ewwwwww soooo sorry! I despise those and wasps. I am a huge fan of nature and live and let live, but me oh my I give those guys a wide berth and usually arm myself with a spray of wasp killer to get rid of them. I have been afraid of them since I was little...foul tempered little things.

after this weekend, I am back to my work Saturday schedules. it will be good with end of the year expenses, but I shall miss this quiet time.

I hope everyone has a lovely day. light, love, hugs to all!

Good Saturday morning. Read back quickly to try to catch up on the happenings here. I see many of our southern folks are checking in and getting through the storm ok. Still lots ahead as it travels up the coast. I didn't know yellow jackets nest in the ground. That is scary situation for sure. Loss of a friend I dread that news. I guess as we get older though that news will be a part of life's journey. SO thankful and so blessed by friends who travel this road with me including all of you.

Patches has begun 3 therapy dog sessions at the hospital. I haven't said anything on her facebook page just yet. I will not post anything there until we have completed the process. Her life is so very different than it was 18 months ago. I do hope she successfully completes all 3 sessions. Even if not though, we will continue to visit the Nursing homes who do not have as stringent requirements on the therapy teams and she already has a few fans there :-) Bless her heart.

Tomorrow I will photograph a friends therapy dog who will be the greeter for Mass at her church and then the priest will be Blessing her just before the close of Mass. She has completed over 100 therapy sessions. This will be exciting and nerve wracking for me. :-) Stay safe in the storms and storms of life everyone. Remember to make Labor Day a good memory for you and those you love.

Good evening eagle budlets

Just got home from the day with Jordyn went to Great Explorations and also Sunken Gardens. First time I was there oh so pretty it it.
Want to go again but in the winter. Jordyn and I melted today as she says! We had rain again almost two inches tail end of Hermine hence indoor activity when it cleared up we went to the gardens which is in the same area as Great explorations

Gotta get a shower going out to a party
Then back to Angie after bday party

I had YELLOW JACKETS in a piece of lawn timber month back. I got rid of them by pouring stuff on the at night

stronghunter said...

Good evening,

Speaking of bees that live in the ground, we had a problem with ground bees a couple of years ago...I did post about them at the time. They took up residence underneath my front porch and stung me when I tried to pull weeds in my flower bed. They're not as aggressive as yellow jackets and their sting is not as bad, but I ended up letting a few weeds grow in that spot. They were right next to the front steps. Not a good spot for anyone entering and exiting the house.

I tried various poisons and even poured water on them to no avail. The pest control guy wanted $100 to get rid of them, so I decided to see if winter weather would do the job, as it was then the end of summer. Pest guy wished me a sarcastic good luck. I was quite happy when the spring arrived with no bees under the porch.

Have been seeing lots of pictures of the ocean on FB today, but I believe things have calmed down a bit now. We did not get rain, just some breezy weather that felt like rain.

stronghunter said...

Actually, we could use a bit of rain about now.

stronghunter said...

Well, it looks like I am wrong. The weather people are saying storm surge problems are ahead. Stay safe, everyone.

Jewels said...

All, thank you....it jus really hurt my feelings, and AZPatti thanks... Yes I have to give him shots every 12 hrs. It will be a hard adjustment with my shedule.Right now I am on midnights...so he is getting shots around 8 each day. He is still responding well and even was frisky enough to play with his ball with out me throwing it.
Momma Wanda's Denise stayed at her Beach house for the storm. Had the upstairs windows leak.. will have to look for further. Many homes had damages.
So sorry Jerry for the loss of your friend... GLo...Hope Patches is going to do well

Goodorming my eagle friends.

All is well in South Bethany. Hermine was big news for the weather forecasters but turned out to be a couple of hours of rain on Saturday and then wind yesterday and today. I feel badly for all of the visitors who came for the long weekend and then packed up and left due to the weather forecasts. Yesterday was beautiful and today is supposed to be nice as well. Not a swim in the ocean weekend due to rip currents but a nice beach weekend nevertheless for those who were brave enough to stay.

No updates on Potter finding a forever home. There is a family interested but their references haven't all checked out yet. Maybe a couple more weeks.

Doggie door is working well with the little dogs. I won't lie and say it has completely solved the peeing in the house problem, but it has greatly lessened it. I just don't think there's a solution for 2 dogs that will pee in their very own beds inside a small crate. Sigh.

Patti, we have Rescue Remedy for Janey; it doesn't seem to do much. Also have a diffuser that plugs into an outlet and gives off some calming pherenome (sp?) - that doesn't help much either. If there's thunder, she's hiding.

Tennis for me at 8am, then I'm taking my kayak out while the tides are so high. I will pedal/paddle north to start since that's the direction of the wind, so my return will be smooth sailing.

Have a greyt day all.

Happy Birthday, Lynne! Hope your day was stupendous!

I spent some time amongst the sunflowers this afternoon. WANDA, I saw a monarch butterfly but by the time I got my camera, it was gone. :-( But I did get several good shots of a Painted Lady. I posted a couple of pics, and one of the frog, on my blog. There were all sorts of pollinators working the sunflowers today!

Lolly, belated birthday wishes to Jacob.

We're heading out to the beach with a glass o' wine. Dinner will be grilled chicken. Haven't decided what the sides will be.

Hope everyone has had a marvelous weekend! Hoda, again the bear whisperer.

Hoda said...

Patti Jacob's real birthday is Thursday.
Wished Sandi would post, back from kayaking is what I want to hear.

Had my hands bear full today!
Early morning saw one bear and it was all good.
Afternoon three different Bears in the area at the same time!!! Yikes managing the humans was mostly fine!
Then two boys, late teens and early twenties decided it was a good idea to chase a bear who was minding his business and scratching his back! Honestly the could not have been standing in line when God was handing out brains. The bear scurried one way , there were people on two sides of him and idiots chasing bear. I yelled at the two idiots. They were so surprised and I told them to turn back out of the area. OK OK OK!!! I did not tell, I demanded and threatened hefty fines. They got out of there. Bear did not attack humans, yet he was surprised by them!!!
I am still shaking my head!!!

grannyblt said...

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I've spent most of the day on the phone with family and friends.

Hoda, are you sure you are safe doing your bear duty? I'm presuming these are black bears. Don't want you messing with grizzlies.

SED to all.

Hoda said...

Yes Lynne, I am safe.
Yes black bears.
Grizzlies have not come down to this park.
Two incidents of grizzly sighting outside of Nelson, in a rural area. A sow with her cub and in another section a male grizzly. Not in the park where I am though. I took my bear spray out today, but honestly my intention was to use it on the two idiots chasing the bear!!! I know that would not have been legal!!!
For the rest of the month I will be with the school program. As of tomorrow people will be back at school and summer holidays are over. Many International Citizens are still in the area. Seniors! Many of them Americans. They were very supportive and encouraging after the incident today.
No worries! All good.

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Everyone,

Hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day! Ken and I did.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LYNNE1! (I just made it under the wire!) Hope your day was spectacular! Wishing you a wonderful year ahead, too!

Lolly, please give Happy Birthday wishes to Jacob for us! (Is his Birthday on Thursday?)

Jen called us this morning, and we talked for quite a while. The kids are all doing well. They have a new kitten! She's only 5-1/2 weeks old. One of GGD Sierra's friends has a cat that had kittens, and they were giving them away at the park. (I know, don't get me started!) I think the only reason Jen let Sierra keep the kitty was because she wanted to know that at least ONE of the litter got a good, responsible home!
The little cutie is really fuzzy, and seems to be a grey tabby. She has pronounced spots and stripes on her tummy, but the stripes are much fainter on her back and sides. They named her 'Teatulia', after an Earl Grey tea. Their Siamese, Latte, is still trying to figure her out, and Teavana, the German Shorthaired Pointer, seems to really want to be friends with her (I'm relieved about that--she's very hyper, and could be a problem if she wanted to be!) The kitten is weaned already, eating canned food, and in a couple of weeks should transition to dry food soaked so it's soft. They say she's got a really sweet personality! Courtney sent me a picture of her, and she's adorable! By the way, Courtney has quit her receptionist job, because they weren't giving her more than 30 hours a week after some schedule changes. However, she got a new job, MUCH closer to home, at a local Starbucks! She's really happy that they will pay for her to get her AA degree online, too! Now she won't have to drive 40 miles to and from work, either! She also works at the gym with her old cheer coaches, helping to train new cheerleaders, I think 3 nights a week. Perfect!

Lolly, is Joseph actually learning to drive?! Golly, it doesn't seem possible!
I guess I must be getting old or something! LOL

Hoda, gosh! I sure hope you are extra cautious with all those bears around!
I'm glad to hear that they are black bears, and not grizzlies! You do seem to be turning into a real bear whisperer, though! Good for you!

Lynne1, Lolly, and Shirley, I'm happy to say we don't seem to have any yellow jackets around, but I have seen 2 or 3 hornets in the back yard, and have been trying to track down where they are coming from. Would really like to get rid of them! Lynne, so sorry you got stung! Ouch!

JudyE, I'm glad you're doing well with that storm going on! I do appreciate your efforts to box up some rain for me. Sorry it didn't work out!

Well, I guess I'd better sign off for the night and try to get some sleep. It's starting to get pretty late! Have SED, everyone. God bless, and goodnight.
I ♥ us!

Lolly said...

Good morning! Yes, Jacob's birthday is Thursday. And, yes, Joseph will be learning to drive. He will be 16 next month. Yes, it is hard to believe!

Just called the vet. Skippi has flare ups of "Rodent Mouth". Has nothing to do with rodents. Noticed this weekend that her upper lip is swollen. Poor kitty! Annie only went to the vet once a year. She was so healthy and more Skippita has this all the time. Poor Lolly's bank account! Shots are not cheap! Do not want a flare up on our trip!

You know we got her chipped. Well, we have successfully got her to accept the vet's tag hanging on her collar. Taking all precautions on this long trip.

Jack is hating to leave home. Our pecan trees are loaded. So loaded that branches have started breaking. Going to tak with the guy who will be mowing our lawn and ask him to take care of any branches that break. Trees are wired to keep the squirrels out. Do not want them getting access to the trees via broken and hanging branches.

Hoda! Yes, too many people are idiots! I just can not imagine you yelling! Glad you did!

Have a great day!

Back from scan
Pretty neat watching my spine appear on the screen vertebrae one by one

Got lots of steps in
Walked at the park right next to facility at 9008 steps so far.
Doing pretty good with fitbit.
Any of u all have one?????
I think it keeps me motivated Angie says the newness will wear off
So far three weeks now.
I am going to have to buy another one day being this one only hold a charge for about 9 hrs. I haven't been sleeping with it of late because of that. When I woke up battery nearly dead so then I have to charge it when wake up so just leave it in charging while I sleep. But I do like it when it shows how well or not you slept shows restlessness and waking moments.

Need to get busy

good afternoon to one and all.
life has been ambling along here.....nothing much to report.
we finally have absolutely beautiful weather and I am enjoying it.

can tell its time for my B12 injection...feel blah and tired.

JUDYE: no fitbit here. some moments I think I would like one, but not convinced myself yet. I know a lot of people wear them. I figure by the time I think I want one they will be out dated or out of style lol

i'm on the search for someone to clean work. they have 6 offices and a school and need a good cleaning crew (offered it to me.....but I politely declined. waaaayyy too much work for me!)

I am exploring an option, someone whom I know has a cleaning crew come into their home and they are very satisfied. I am inquiring to see if they might be interested in the job...if so I can get them in touch with the big boss and it would not hurt my feelings one bit if they got the job!

making BLT salad for dinner tonight. cracker barrel used to have one and it was so good, but they haven't served it in a while. so I make my own. :)

I hope everyone here is well. I have just being going non stop!

hugs and love to all

Hello, all! Same 'ol here but that's okay with us! :-)

Lolly and Lynne2, I hadn't heard of Rodent Mouth so I had to google it. Poor Skippi! Looks terribly painful. I get ulcers in my mouth sometimes (usually too much acid, like fresh tomatoes!) and they can be very painful. But they are little teeny tiny compared to the photos I saw. Hope the shots help and she's ready for that trip.

Andy, very glad to hear Teatulia found Sierra. Two lucky girls, I'm thinking.

Mike's off jamming with his band buddies so I have the evening to myself. Not sure what I'll do. The pups and I will probably end up on the beach. :-)

Wishing everyone an awesome evening and SED.

Good evening all

I still haven't gotten outside to spray the yellowjacket nest. I have a million things to tend to before I leave here to spend a few months in OK. The trip is sooner than planned. I thought I would leave mid to late October, but as of today, I'll be leaving here in a couple of weeks. My daughter is flying up to drive down with me and her schedule is overloaded for October. Wish I had someone I knew well and could trust to live in my house and care for my cats. For some reason my brother and his wife don't want to leave warm VA to spend the winter in cold icy PA. LOL. The trip will be an adventure for sure. Guess I'd better get back to making lists.

SED to all.

Safe travels to OKC Lynne. You take the cats with you then?
Sorry about Skippi's mouth Lolly.
Patti an awesome evening yo you too. On the beach this evening!!! Seriously??? It feels like snow here!!!
All good had an awesome and very busy day.

Hoda said...

Judy I have a fit bit and I use it all the time.
Smart not to sleep with it.
Sort of like sleeping with a cell phone in terms of harmful rays it emits...
Raining here and temperatures dropping. I actually hydroplaned!!!

Lolly said...

Good morning!

Skippi is fine! We do not allow her mouth to get too bad. She is eating and I believe no pain. We keep a close eye on her and when her upper lip is pink and swollen off to the vet we go!

Luncheon today. Out to water a little before going!

Prayers for Tori! Robyn posted on fb that they got the call. Hope this means new lungs for Tori!

Have a great day!

Gonna have lunch with Angie
Tommorw is grandparents day at Jordyn school so I will go up their and have lunch with her at school. Just got to pick up lunch Click fla for both of us. The school lunch is brought to the school not cooked there being they use the churches cafeteria for eating not big enough for food preparation.

OK so yesterday I messaged my old neighbor in Randallstown about whether or not she still had the trailer on their property that they got to help out a homeless couple last year. She said she didn't but that she had a friend that she thought might have one for rent...Michelle. Turns out Michelle is someone I have known for years, but not really well. Our paths have crossed often. She owns Chapman Gardens in Randallstown, a garden center where I worked springs and summers years ago for the son of the original owner. I met her right after she bought the place which had been severely run down, and she has since pretty much restored it. She went there as a child with her own parents and wanted to see it like it was in the old days.

Most recently she was going to give the Lucky Stars pigs a home when that creepy new owner Benson evicted them, but at the time she didn't have enough money for a pig proof fence. ANYWAY....I PM'd here and sure enough she does have a trailer for rent! It's a camper really, very small, well large as campers go I guess, (Montana Mountainer 2007 in case you want to google pictures) but no security depo, no credit checks, a big fenced yard, rent includes everything at 600 a month. A bit high for how small it is but we will make it work!

Also we can work around the place to offset rent as well. The fencing is privacy fence which is cool so Puddles I Bark At Everything won't be able to SEE everything! It's private, woods around, she gets lots of nature there, there is a large pond, too. The camper has plenty of windows and she is going to have a deck put on as well. It's furnished because campers come with furniture already, LOL! It has 2 TVs, free internet, electric, heat, A/C, trash removal.

Like I said, we will be very cozy in there but it's worth it to get out of here. We haven't told my in-laws yet, we want to tell my MIL first without her husband around so as soon as we do that we can start making specific plans...hopefully we can do that this evening. We have to trade space for privacy and for getting away from this jerk or someone will die. LOL! It's been really bad the past couple of weeks and no signs of getting better. I think this is a good shorter term solution for us to try once more to get back on our feet. I'm a nervous wreck.

Best of all I will be returning to my beloved job! I will start out with part time hours with more to come when another receptionist goes on maternity leave in Nov (if not sooner, and no one seems to think she'll come back after she has the baby)

I can get some of my gardening work once more, see my Joker cat, scare up some petsitting....

I haven't felt this good mentally in 6 months!!

JudyEddy said...

FANTASTIC LYNNE2.
that includes all electric etc so the price isn't that bad jmho there are small efficiency units here the same size for lots more than 600.

JudyEddy said...

LOL on barking with fence my neighbor's have little dogs that bark at me daily if they are out. I kept telling them I live here hoping one day they won't bark LOL I have been here almost 20yrs and they still bark. So good luck but happy you have somewhere to go away from the evil fil

Robyn Texted that Tori's surgery is tomorrow at 7:30 in the morning Eastern time.
Let us form a prayer circle around her and her doctors.
Robyn said Tori is presently processing the meaning of everything. This will help her cope with what comes next.
Prayers for Tori.

AZPatti said...

Well, I just hopped on to ask if anyone was ready for some football but Lynne's news is so much better than that! Congratulations! I'm not caught up on all the trials and tribulations but I can only imagine. So very happy for you guys! We're in the market for a new critter sitter. Wanna come to Arizona? :-)

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening and SED. Go Broncos! This time......

LYNNE2. I forgot to say I watched a video on the trailer looks super nice two pullouts

Also forgot to say that when we first came to Fl in 1972 we lived in a pull travel trailer that was his parents, not as fancy as they make now days? LOL!
We lived in it when Jordyn was 2 1/2 for about 6 months till we saved enough to move to a apt.
Also we invested in a screen enclosure from a sporting dept on the porch slab was nice was in winter season

two more days to work this week. its been a great work week.

had to "convince" Olivia that she is taking this art class. she is such a recluse! going to sign her up tomorrow.....it is "an adult" class, but I see no reason she cannot join fingers crossed.

anyway, other than that, all is well.

good night to all

Good morning all I am pretty sure Tori is indeed in surgery at this time. Prayers for her and her surgeon. God Bless the family who have helped to give her the gift of life. I get chills just typing that,

LYNNE2: wonderful news! :) Prayers for you as you keep on keeping on. Your path seems to remain eventful. I hope you can find or refind a sense of peace.

Patches did round 2 of her certification process last night. The last one will be in 2 weeks. I am so very proud of her. We have worked hard as a therapy team and she is handling even the hospital environment so very well. 18 months out of a cage and yes she is proving any dog does indeed have a chance at a new life. LOts of love and patience and training in a timely manner can put even the most difficult of pieces back together . I have seen it many times in the work I do with the service dogs but now I have seen it one day at a time with my soon Certified Pet Therapy Dog. (well we do have that one last hurdle to jump, but I believe in her.)

Hi all! Mowed and worked in the yard. Now I have collapsed! Even took a nap which I never do!

Have been thinking of Tori and wondering how it is going. Prayers for this to be a huge success!

Think we are going to the TCU vs Arkansas game tomorrow. Michael called and he is getting tickets. Zach has been wanting to go. Thing is.....I am nervous. Will probably meet the new girlfriend. Uh oh! Expecting a cool front with rain. Hope it rains in the day and not at game time. He just called again....we are going and Savanna is coming! OMG!

Time for a glass of wine!😱😬😀

AZPatti said...

Afternoon all! Lolly, I would think a football game would be a very good place to start this new relationship. Lots of "distractions" if you need/want them. But my guess is you are going to be pleasantly surprised. I have to tell myself all the time that age is just a number. I'm thinking that saying works for younger as well as older. Will keep fingers crossed that all goes well. And don't forget that she's probably just as nervous as you! :-)

Glo, congratulations to you and Miss Patches! You're right about that last hurdle - she'll pass it with flying colors, I'm sure.

We're making a turnaround trip to the Phoenix area tomorrow to attend Mike's stepdad's memorial service. He passed away (after a long battle with Alzheimer's) in the spring but his wife (not Mike's mom) wanted to wait until their friends returned. They live in a retirement community that is mostly snowbirds. We will leave home about 6:00am and plan to be home by dark, which in these parts is about 7:00pm. Going to be a long day.

Hoping all is well with Tori and everyone involved.

Wishing all an awesome weekend!

So wanting to hear from Robyn or any one about Tori.
Had an awesome day with the Bears.
One groomed his nails after eating.
The other scratched it's back and it's bum against a tree and stood up after a bathroom break and hugged a tree.
I love it when they stand up.
Did not take pictures as there were many people with two Bears in the area and I needed to be aware what was happening with the Bears and the people at all times.
Loved my day.
Hope you are all well.

Hoda said...

From Robyn 15 minutes ago:

Really wish someone was with me right now, Tori's still in the OR, complications, still haven't closed her up, blood pressure is low but she is stable

OK Prayers double you all

Stable is good...
Get that blood pressure up please!

Hoda said...

Any one have Robyn's number.
The one I have has been disconnected...
All good.
Got it.
Will phone her now.

Hoda said...

Spoke to Robyn.
Long day in her world.
Tori went in at ten in the morning.
She is still open.
Surgeons with her.
Transplant completed.
Slight complications yet the surgeon told Robyn they are looking after her well.
She is certain if there was something major going wrong they would have told her.

Our prayers are appreciated and let us continue them.

Blessed Be.

NCSuzan said...

Hoda, I am sure Robyn appreciated that you reached out to her. Sad that she is alone with no support. Hope Tori has the strength to recover. She has been so sick for so long. Hoping for the best outcome.

The twin panda cubbies are doing great and are growing! Just beginning to see their pink skin turn dark in typical panda places. And for those that are interested in PPO. He has been checking out his preferred place to raise a family. He has a new wife. should be an interesting nesting season!

Have a good evening all.

Stay well everyone...

Good morning! Chance of rain but so far nothing! HOWEVER, it is 71! Saw 69 when I woke up! Such relief from the heat!

Going to do a little shopping. Going to "white out" at the game. Need a TCU white shirt. If I do not find what I like will go with purple.

Also, local jewelry store is having a customer appreciation day. They have been having games and drawings through fb. I think I won a "stone". Going to drop by and see what I won! However, it costs money tohave a stone set! Yikes!

Patti, thanks for the encouragement! I had forgotten, but Jack remembered we first met Ashley at a baseball game. Lol. Laurel and Joey ssy we will like her as she is very nice. An "air head" but very nice. This will be very different from Ashley who is definitely not an air head. Yes, neutral ground and an activity is probably best! Will report back tomorrow.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Awesome day.
Bears visited four times.
So much fun to learn their behaviours.
The humans generally cooperated.
Some of the two percent who were not standing in line when God was handing out brains, showed up.
All good!
Just an opportunity for me to shake my head.
Oh well!!!
