Looks like snow is more likely here than it is in Shepherdstown, which is a good thing for our eagles. I think we might have an egg any time now. Belle is certainly staying in the nest.
Kathryn just found out she has to go to work. Nobody is there. The guy who was supposed to work can't be found. She and Hunter had sort of made plans to go somewhere together. Now they are both headed to the workplace.
I feel that I am missing out on something by not watching Downton Abbey. I just didn't get started on it. But, being a native of North Carolina, I am interested in watching the Panthers.
Good morning all Eagle Watchers out there; Jo,Janet,Sandi, CarolAnne, Loretta, WVJerry, JudyE and all others who might be out there. You all are surely on egg watch! Maybe she will surprise us all and lay the egg in the daytime for all to see. Everything is all quiet at the nest at this time. Belle still sitting in egg cup; no eagle sounds from either she or Shep. It looks like all is right with the world, except no egg yet. Have to go out to the post office to mail Sophie's Valentine box. All keep your eyes peeled and have a wonderful day.
Yelling going on here. Kathryn is calling Hunter to get going. I think he is taking a shower. The boy does not hurry just because you have to go to work.
She told him to take a shower and then she hurried into my bathroom for her own shower. Meanwhile, he just took his sweet time doing whatever 15-year-old guys do on a Saturday morning. Probably playing a game on his phone.
Meanwhile, Kathryn's place of work remains closed.
I think Kathryn and Hunter have now departed for the workplace. Overall, I hope Hunter might be learning something about being responsible and maybe a few things about the business Kathryn is working in. It is time for him to learn these things.
Well knock me down! I just received Sandra's Yahoo b-day announcement over in my junk mail! 8:24am - It should have come over right after midnight - Well at least it's half ways working.
Well it sure looked like Belle laid an egg in that video and pranced carefully around it before she settled down to keep it warm!! And I agree that we may not see that egg in that deep cushy egg cup!! Congratulations to Belle and Shep!
JUDYE - thanks for the link to the video and the reporting.
CANDY - So happy you are looking forward to a 3 day visit with your granddaughter and your son and his wife!! Like you said, three days is a good start! And equally happy for the blessings of safe passage through a long military journey that brought him home safe. God is indeed, good and I can only imagine how difficult those years were.
KAY - Happy to hear Ernie came through his surgery well and is off the ventilator. The longer anyone is one one of those, the scarier it gets!! Continued prayers for strength and healing in these crucial days to follow.
JUDY - Hope you survive that cold front and can get out again.......I know how rough those fronts are is Florida!! :)
JUDIE - I like the weekend menu.............just might have to stop by!!
JO - thanks for the bold clarification of JACK watching birds in the yard while walking. I thought he may have been walking backwards with binoculars!! And I really was worried LOLLY would walk into something with her nose in the iPhone while she walked down the neighborhood streets!!
SANDI - OUCH!! On your hands and knees with a toothbrush cleaning all that grout??? The last time I was crazy enough to do that was probably 15 years ago! It looks amazing when you are done, but you pay dearly for it in pain!! But seriously, could you seal the grout now that it is clean and wouldn't that help keep it clean longer?
I am glad we have wood floors now and no longer have to deal with the grout. In Florida, where tile just makes better sense, I was a slave to my grout, too. Now we deal with when to sand and seal the floors.............and we dread it!! But clean floors sure make all the difference!!
But if you made it to play tennis this morning, you must be working through the pain and a trooper!! Of course being thin and in shape surely helps!! :)
SHIRLEY - I will have to go check on FB and see a recent picture of young Hunter. I am sure he is as much a character as he always was. Just love the "Hunter" stories! Happy to hear their unscheduled work day is over and they can enjoy their Saturday!
Wishing SANDRA a very happy birthday today!!
It's time for me to try and make this brain function today!! Had an awful migraine at 4am and I am just feeling like I can move around. Guess I will find out soon!
I best bring over my remark from this morning on the older thread:
All that excitement last night has proven to have been a false report now that we can see the eggless nest in the morning light. Belle really fooled me. NOW Onto the waiting game.
Okay, I really am going to stop watching and get busy but now I think Shirley is correct. Belle is not nestled down tight but sort of standing. End of my speculations.
I never got to the post office yet. I am out the door now. Nothing is moving but the two eagle heads at the nest. Thank goodness the wind has died down. Yesterday it was blowing so hard I was afraid for the nest. Even though I already sent Sandra a birthday card I'll still Wish you, SANDRA OSBORNE, another very Happy Birthday. Have a good one. To the post office.......
I've had the live camera on since 630 and think if there were an egg we would have caught a glimpse by now. Now it looks as if they are watching something in the sky. I really need to get dressed and busy around here. Sure glad we have this new camera.
Good morning everyone. Have a friend bringing lunch today and then we will head on out to try to find some eagles :-) They are about as hard to find as eggs in a nest at times.
Okay, I think it is safe to say there is no egg yet.
And, Kathryn and Hunter headed out to work awhile ago, so they should be at her office until at least noon. Things have been pretty busy since all of the ice and snow. Ice and snow bring business to car body shops.
I see two eagles sitting in the nest on either side of the egg cup.
No bowling for me today. All of the lanes are being used by a tournament. Someday, I might sign up for a tournament. Maybe. Have tried to convince Val.
Good morning! Hmmmmm....wondering if there is an egg or not. Have watched Belle, saw flugg fluffing but nothing that looked like an egg roll.
I am dealing this morning with heartbreak. A dear, close friend died unexpectedly last night. I got a text late. I will be going over there in about an hour. This will be so hard. She was just a few years younger than me. Her two daughters close to Laurel's age. One a year older and one a year younger. John, her husband has had lots of heart problems. Figured he could go at anytime. Marion had one hard to breath scare a couple of months ago, but surgery was ruled out. Last night she once again was having trouble breathing, 911 was called, but she did not make it. John can not live alone. Beth and Michelle have lots of decisions to make. Beth and hubby live here. Michelle and hubby live a couple of hours west in Abilene. Prayers please for this family. I just can not imagine how it will be without Marion in all our lives. She had a strong belief and is with her Savior!
Lolly - prayers for Marion and her family and friends. Sudden deaths are always so very hard to understand and accept. May the girls do what is best for their dad.
The posts of the last 12 hours or so lead to nothing but confusion for me, so I'm in a wait n' see mode. Will soon take in the noon panoramic camera swing, but I don't think we'll see down into the cup. Belle seems to want it covered.
LOLLY, so sorry you've lost a dear friend. May she RIP. Prayers for her family as they make some hard decisions.
LINDA, sorry you still have those horrible migraines. Some things like those and the common cold just seem to defy all medical logic. You'd think by 2016 we'd have answers to such ancient maladies!
Belle doing much flugg redistribution, up and out of the cup. Yes, her head disappears completely when she delves down into it. She sure is keeping us guessing!
SHIRLEY, too bad Kathryn and Hunter had to switch gears so suddenly. Does her workplace stay open all day on Saturdays?
I figured out with the branch on the outer edge is for It is supports for when the time comes they can throw up a blanket so we can't see LOL A partition of sorts like in the hospital room lol
Back again from the post office and doing my daily mile fast walk. I see only one eagle left in the nest. So good to see the wind not swaying the nest today. It had me worried yesterday.
LOLLY Prayers sent to you and your friends family. May God bless them in their time of loss. So sorry to hear that sad news.
JudyE Too funny about why the last stick was put up against the limb. :) It is a thought tho.
I am keeping this on to check in from time to time. Have washings to start and some cleaning after I get some lunch. Someone tell the eagles it is lunch time please. :)
Hi all! From reading back, it sounds like no one has glimpsed an egg so I'm guessing we are still waiting! I see both eagles in the nest.
Tennis was super competitive and exhausting. I wasn't as sore as I thought I would be but there will be no more on my hands and knees today. The kitchen and powder room floors can wait - I've had my daily quota of exercise!
Lolly, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend Marion - it sounds similar to what happened with Denny's mom. His dad was in terrible health and in the hospital recuperating from surgery. Denny's mom spent the day at the hospital, went home to watch the Orioles game on TV, and had a massive heart attack - boom, gone! When Denny's dad eventually left the hospital, he was unable to live alone so he moved in with us. Denny was wonderful about taking care of his dad and he was with us for a year and a half before he died.
I have always thought I would prefer to die like Denny's mom did - suddenly - rather than the way my mom did with a long illness. But I know it's much harder on the family that's left b/c there's no time to prepare for losing that loved one. In reality, we aren't given a choice, are we?
I have been on the phone with Patricia, the teacher at my school who was placed on administrative leave. She has been interviewing attorneys and is planning to go after the student for his false accusations against her and also our principal and assistant principal for not doing their jobs in getting the student out of the building so the entire incident wouldn't have happened. Good for her!
Have a greyt day all - I'll be checking in for egg updates. Right now though, I need to take a nap, since watching Belle this morning kept me from going back to get an extra hour of sleep when I was so rudely awakened by snoring at 5:30am.
I am back. Furnished lunch for the family and stayed about an hour. They are dazed to say the least. It is just so hard! Thanks for the prayers! No answers yet for their decisions.
LOLLY - So sorry to hear about the unexpected loss of your friend Marion. It's just so sad.....and all those decisions that the family needs to face along with making arrangements. It's good they have family and good friends around to support them. Will keep them in prayer.
SANDY - Good for Patricia taking an offense here instead of waiting for what is next. Maybe this will scare the family a little and back them off. I feel so bad for the anguish and heartbreak, not to mention the anger, this must be causing Patricia as her hands are literally tied because of flawed school administrations and their lack of insight in these types of incidents.
Looks sunny and breezy at the nest and Belle is staying close to home.......Could be a good sign of things to come!
Well...I had to work over and was not able to go by nest. Maybe I can try and swing by that way Tuesday or Wednesday after work. Maybe an egg will come in the next day or so. I probably won't be on early in morning until I go back to work on Tuesday. I have been trying to figure out which way camera points. It appears to me that it faces east. I also don't know if the road you see is the road with sharp turn. It must be part of NCTC property. If I don't fall asleep I'll try and watch some tonight.
Lolly, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I cannot imagine losing my best friend. My thoughts and prayers to you and her family.
working over till 6pm again... did Tuesday, then again Yesterday and today, and tomorrow and again on Friday. Need the extra money. hate the tax bracket it throws me in tho...
Hope all is well... anxiously waiting on the egg laying!!
Well, Belle and Shep certainly know how to pull our strings. I managed to spend a good part of the day in front of the computer. Not that I'm complaining, I'm retired and live alone so I can do whatever I please.surely there should be an egg within the next few days!
Okay, listen up Belle and Shep: the momsters are becoming a bit impatient with your antics. Will you two PLEASE get on with the egg laying? We do not like being teased AND remember, we have eagle canes and Jo knows how to climb the Sycamore Palace. So there!
Well I am checking in to see an MT nest without an egg. If they are still HPing, maybe it will be a day. :)
SANDI Am I ever glad to hear that your teacher friend is going to hire a lawyer and go after all of them. Good for her. It is better than sitting down and letting them drill her into the earth. Hoping all goes well for her.
If there is not going to be any action here yet, I guess I'll go back to my UNC Tar Heel game against Notre Dame. You all have a wonderful evening.
Uh oh! JUDIE is threatening Belle and Shep! They probably would really not like those Eagle canes!!
Have been reading this evening while Jack worked in his shop.
Again, thank you for the prayers. Marion was the core to her family. Beth is now stepping up. So very proud of her!
Have known this family for 40 years, gone to church together, raised our children at the same time. Laurel and Beth are close. While I was teaching our school district had a program (a class) where high school students helped in the classrooms. I had both Beth and Michelle help me, so I am close with them. And, right now I feel so helpless.
Watched both Eagles visit the nest this evening. Keeping a close eye to see if Belle returns. Guess it has been false labor so far!😛
Speaking of Patricia. I am a member of ATPE (Association of Texas Professional Educators). If a problem arose we had lawyers available to us and we could receive help. I am still a retired member.
Closing up shop for tonight..........feel like I had one of those days where I did more research than work........and I am still not finding the answers I know are out there!
Yes, I am proud of Patricia. Our administrators have created a very perilous work environment for teachers by not addressing discipline. If Patricia can bring that to light, she will benefit all of us, not just herself. And yes Lolly, the teacher's union will loan Patricia up to $30,000 for attorney fees. If she wins her case, which she will, then she is not required to pay anything back.
Lolly, making yourself available to Marion's daughters is the best thing you can do right now. You ARE helping.
Nest is MT.
I will see everyone in the early AM. Maybe Superbowl Sunday will be Supernest Sunday as well. Goodnight.
Jerry, you asked about how the camera faces. I'm pretty directionally challenged, but right now, the rising sun is hitting the nest on the left side of our camera view (at about the 9 o'clock position). So east would be at about 3 o'clock. The cam is positioned at about 6 o'clock, which would be north and it would indeed be facing south (about 12 o'clock). Does that sound right to others?
Good morning to all ♥ Very calm MT nest but it sure looks in good condition and it really needs some activity going on in our nest. I hope they are not waiting for Valentines Day ♥
Special day for the family as we meet at Dutch's for Sunday Brunch to celebrate hubby's birthday that was snowed out by the Blizzard of 2016.
Downtown Frederick city has an annual event called Fire & Ice. I've never been able to attend - very cold out last evening. Businesses have in front of their stores ice sculptures. Grandkids sent me a picture of the one outstanding figure of an eagle in flight. Very beautiful.
Linda love having you with us again - especially headache free! Sandi I really am pulling for Patricia - somewhere teacher's voices need to be heard.
Good morning eagle buds. Sunshine and blue skies here too, but the last of that for this week. I'll check the nest between a quick trip to the grocery and every Sunday activities. That also includes an evening with PBS.
Good morning everyone. I see an eagle in nest just looking around. Sandi- Thanks for the direction explanation. Also, I hope things work out fore your teacher friend. I had two friends that taught in Berkeley County(high school Latin0 and Jefferson County(9th Grade). Over 10 years ago they both quit and one went to Loudon County and the other to Warren County. They both told me about student disciplinary problems...basically they could nothing to control disruptive students. Really sad to me to hear people dedicated to educating young people have such problems. I've got breakfast done, did dishwasher thing last night and first load of laundry in and have one more to go. Rhonda lost another pound and has just a few more to get her weight back down. Thanks again for everyone's thoughts/prayers and support. I believe her new medicine is helping. Going to watch Super Bowl later. Not rooting for any team...my team the Dolphins is a long way from any Super Bowl but I still root for them. Just wanting my Orioles to get going in Spring Training. Take care all. I will be checking Cam off and on today.
48 and sunshine all week predicted for us! Even the 70's by Thursday!
Going to get new rose bushes this week and get them planted. They will go in the front yard in front of the fence. Already have climbing roses there but have room for more. Only place I have sunshine morning thru noon, the. They will have afternoon shade. Hope they do well, we shall see!
YEP EVERY day at the same time and sometimes we see deer on the field I hope that they use the pan tilt and zoom with a person after we have hatch lings I wonder will they?
well that is pretty cool. I did notice the one angle was a bit blurry. But I love this feature! I was hoping to see the Eagles in another tree or in the field.
Good afternoon eagle friends. Just got back from church and breakfast out. We have another cloud, chilly, rainy, windy day here on OBX again today, and into tomorrow. Snow maybe inland. They can have it.
MT nest at Shepherdstown; I missed them. :( I read where there was still HP going on. They had just better stop that stuff and get laying eggs before we get another big snow over there, and we are all biting our nails wondering if everything will be ok.
WVJERRY Great news to read that Rhonda is doing better.
LINDA So happy to hear that you are finally without a headache today. There is nothing worse. My whole Christmas visit with my son and his family was ruined by the most awful headache. I suffered through until we got home to get our results of our physicals and the doctor gave me that dreaded Prednisone for one week. I was having a little trouble with my back and he said that would do something to help. I dare say, it only took a week of the Pred. and I was, and have been headache free since.
LOLLY You sure are lucky to live in Texas and having 70* weather. We have had some 70's this winter and it was great! A lot of our flowers were all mixed up and coming out! Hoping for an early spring!
Well, still MT nest. Think I had better get a little something done here. All have a great day. AND maybe an egg will come along soon.
Please say prayers for my Jessica. She is battling a bad bad sore throat. She has been to ER and they prescribed her baby safed antibiotic. BUt day 3 its getting worse instead of better.
I have returned from an exceptionally nice Brunch at Dutch's with hubby and our 5 children and their spouses. I never imagined that so many people take advantage of this on a Sunday - the place was packed. Our table for 12 was ready and waiting and our 2 servers were the greatest. The variety of foods were more then abundant to say the least. Their brunch is 10-2:00 - we were there 11:30 - 1:30. And Lolly, we fed NED.
Now we are home - have some pics to share on FB shortly but first FEET UP
**Prayers for Jessica's throat to get better with her medicine. ♥
Jo, so very happy that all the family were together to celebrate. Peanut butter pie? Well, whatever you all had, I know it was not nearly as enjoyable as having the family all together. Also, so glad you had enough to feed Ned. I'm sure Lolly was concerned.
Thanks Judie and Momma Jo Judie otherwise she is doing well. Having walmart customers asking her when she is due... she is taken aback cause she doesnt think she is showing yet. I havent seen her in a week or so. BUt she is wanting to go to the ER and said for me to take her when I get off.
Momma Jo, so glad you were able to enjoy a lovely brunch with your family.
Just went for a real walk. Walked over two miles. About a mile away is a new subdivision, so we walked to it and up the hill to see what it looks like up there. 450,000 and up homes. No homes yes, still preparing the land. Saw an agent showing a lot to a couple, big young guy and wife, during an expensive car. Wondering where he plays or played football. Lol
I thought everyone knew how we "walk". Not a treadmill. Have had treadmills and do not like them. They also take up too much room. We "walk" in place with a DVD. It is a "two mile wak" or a 30 minute work out. It does the job and can be done all year, rain or shine freezing or over 100.
Evening all - nest is currently MT. I'm sure our eagles know what they're doing but I wish I knew what they were doing!
I went back through the Nest Update entries on the NCTC site and through blog posts for 2013, 2014 and 2015 to find dates for when eggs were laid and how many eagles fledged from the nest each year. Have emailed that information to Paula, who said she will update the Momsters Yahoo site.
I am shutting down for the night so I can watch the halftime show and then get ready for bed. I will see everyone in the early AM - goodnight!
Jo, thanks for your kind comments!!! I love being back!
And thanks to SHIRLEY, KAY and CANDY......on the headache free comment today!! It's been a good day, for sure!!
CANDY, sounds awful to have such a headache.....and at all times, Christmas!! I get them literally whenever......but stress and overdoing it will certainly increase the odds!! Glad the Prednisone did the trick!
CAROLYN - praying Jessica gets some relief and healing soon! And she's expecting?? Wow, you're gonna be a grandma!!! :)
I feel like I spent most of the weekend researching tax issues for a client.....and now I have to try to convince him to change some things this week. Wish he had called me BEFORE he made the mess!!!!
Watching the game...........and heading to bed afterwards!
Wishing everyone a great rest of your evening.........
Well I'm calling it a day SED AOYP See ya in the am ☼ at Sycamore Sunrise Cyber Cafe Bless this Nest and all ♀ ♂ whom watch it at Sycamore Palace Healing thoughts for those in need "Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle"
Watched Downton Abbey. Not liking Daisy's attitude and not liking how Carson is treating his bride. Wonderful performance by Maggie Smith.
Shirley, let's make a deal. Whichever of us runs out of tissues first, the other will share. Did not like the game's outcome but am happy for Payton Manning.
Goodorming my eagle friends. nest is MT. Start of a new school week for me - let's see what it brings.
Linda and Carolyn, it's so nice to see you both posting on the blog. Carolyn, I hope Jessica is feeling less puny today.
Kay, looks like some snow may be headed your way?
I missed the 2nd half of the SB game - didn't have a strong preference about either team winning. I did like the half time show and Lady Gaga did an excellent job with the National Anthem!
G' morning all Linda, Yes I am going to be a Grandma, I so cannot wait!! I am beyond excited. As far as her less puny... I am not sure.. We got out of the Er just after 9pm... they gave her two bags of fluids, iv antibiotics and zofran. Prescrips for zofran, antibiotic and off work till Wednesday. She felt good when we left the hospital. Even tho she had been drinking water, she was very dehydrated with the vomiting. Dr did say that if she is not better in a few days, they would admit her. Having a lil Pnut makes things more serious.
two more 8 hour days..then my days off, Wednesday and Thursday. I cannot wait to just sleep.
Good morning Sandi and Jewels. I see two eagles in nest. Carolyn - I hope daughter gets better soon. I also missed second half of game plus missed National Anthem. Did see a little of halftime show. Enjoy the day and take care all.
Thank you, SANDI. ONLY here, could you step away because of life's circumstances and come back and feel so welcomed and as if you never were gone!!
CAROLYN - So sorry Jessica had such a bad day yesterday. She must have been one sick cookie to need fluids. More than anything, I hate throwing up. Prayers that the antibiotics work and she gets over this. I would imagine they did check her for the flu...... Please keep up posted!!
Nest is MT, but I must have just missed them. Glad you saw them JERRY!!
OH Linda, you are so right... I hadn't been on here in so long and everyone has been so welcoming that I was back. This is truly the best "friendship" anyone can ever have. Some have never met face to face and some of us are lucky that we have met and can see each other often and some daily... like me and Margy. I love you all.
I will keep you all posted on Jess. She was very dehydrated and I assume she was tested for flu too. Oh and I forgot she has UTI now too.... SO indeed very sick.

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 399 of 399Good morning,
I see that I will be on the second part of this thread. And I see one eagle on the nest. No egg.
It looks very cold in Shepherdstown this morning.
Shirley - it is a cold 27°
Hi Jo,
I stuck my head out my back door, and it is plenty cold enough here, too.
My blue jays were happy to demolish the little pile of peanuts I put out for them. It took maybe 10 minutes for them to take all of the peanuts.
Weather Channel says 25 degrees here.
Maybe 1-3 inches of snow here early next week.
Looks like snow is more likely here than it is in Shepherdstown, which is a good thing for our eagles. I think we might have an egg any time now. Belle is certainly staying in the nest.
She is settled down into the egg cup now.
Good morning.
Cold and frosty out this morning with sunshine and blue sky.
Belle was in the nest testing the egg cup.
Today will be scullery day. Will make chili and put it in the frig overnight. Will also make some beans and franks for next week.
Has anyone, other than me, decided to forego Superbowl for an hour to watch Downton Abby tomorrow night?
Wishing everyone a wonderful day. May Belle deliver a healthy future eaglet.
♪♫ HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDRA ♪♫ Have a lovely day.
Kathryn just found out she has to go to work. Nobody is there. The guy who was supposed to work can't be found. She and Hunter had sort of made plans to go somewhere together. Now they are both headed to the workplace.
Under no circumstances will I miss Downton Abbey
Hoda thinks there is an egg in the cup. I will watch for a bit.
I feel that I am missing out on something by not watching Downton Abbey. I just didn't get started on it. But, being a native of North Carolina, I am interested in watching the Panthers.

I sorta think there might be an egg because Belle hasn't moved in the longest time and has pulled flugg up around herself.
Jo, thank for keeping me company tomorrow night. Wondered if I would be all alone.
Shirley, sorry Kathryn has to work and Hunter also has a "work" day. Wishing you and Allie and Cheeto a nice day together.
Bye
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDRA
ENJOY YOUR SPECIAL DAY
MAY THE YEAR AHEAD BE WONDERFUL FOR YOU
We still have a chance for the 1st egg today...
I am joining Judie and Jo in wishing Sandra a happy birthday. :)
Once again I did NOT get notification from our yahoo Momster site announcing
Sandra's b-day - as it was the same for Glo's b-day.
I'll try to check it out but I know the names and dates are on the Momster Event Calendar.
Sandi once you retire you are more then welcome to update the past few years of
our egg history. That would be great!
It would be interesting if there is an egg in there. Belle is all scrunched up in the egg cup. We shall see.
OK. I see I got confused on the egg report. Sorry for my morning misstep. I just one eagle in nest. I think I might ride by nest on my way home.
I think we do not have an egg yet. No turning of the egg. No "wiggle, wiggle."
Yelling going on here. Kathryn is calling Hunter to get going. I think he is taking a shower. The boy does not hurry just because you have to go to work.
I am just listening quietly.
Hunter does not take a quick shower just because Mom in in a hurry.
She told him to take a shower and then she hurried into my bathroom for her own shower. Meanwhile, he just took his sweet time doing whatever 15-year-old guys do on a Saturday morning. Probably playing a game on his phone.
Meanwhile, Kathryn's place of work remains closed.
I see no sign of an egg yet. Belle is sitting over the egg cup, but not down in it.
I will be interested in hearing about what you observe on your drive-by of the nest, Jerry.
Ah, Shirley, it is the wise grandmother who knows when to become invisible and/or mute. lol
Jerry, no confusion just misinformation about there being an egg last night. Have a good day and give a salute if you go by the nest.
Jo, I did get an email with Sandra's birthday reminder. Also got on for Glo.
Going to watch Belle for a few more minutes then need to get busy.
BBL
I think Kathryn and Hunter have now departed for the workplace. Overall, I hope Hunter might be learning something about being responsible and maybe a few things about the business Kathryn is working in. It is time for him to learn these things.
Well knock me down! I just received Sandra's Yahoo b-day announcement over in my

Enjoy your day today!!
Blessings to all!
Hi Linda.
Wait.......I am confused. At first I thought JUDYE was reporting a second egg.....
And realized she meant that one had been laid and she was waiting for #2
Then I watched the video that LOOKED like Belle laid an egg and walked around it before settling down on it.
Now I am hearing there is not an egg?
So which is it.......or do we not know for sure??
LINDA They said that they made a mistake last night. No egg. Two eagles in nest now sitting side by side looking at the egg cup.
Thanks, Candy!!
JO - I guess I was posting when your comment came in! Thank you!
Happy to report, I am no longer confused.........at least on the egg! haha
so sorry guys DEB POSTED video saying she laid the egg I saw her get up and pick at cup and said I saw no egg but took Debs word OH OH NO a boo boo
GOODMORNING EAGLE BUDS
I've had the live camera on since 630 and think if there were an egg we would have caught a glimpse by now. Now it looks as if they are watching something in the sky. I really need to get dressed and busy around here. Sure glad we have this new camera.
Good morning everyone. Have a friend bringing lunch today and then we will head on out to try to find some eagles :-) They are about as hard to find as eggs in a nest at times.
Hi again.
Back to cam watching.
So sorry about your loss, Lolly. Prayers for the family.
pooof poof
Lolly - prayers for Marion and her family and friends. Sudden deaths are always so
very hard to understand and accept. May the girls do what is best for their dad.
I see Belle in the nest
Moving a stick
LOLLY so sorry about your loss of a friend and the decisions the family are now left with So sad
Going to Angie house this evening to celebrate her bday which is tomorrow she is having only a few friends over
I see one eagle at the nest.
back in the cup is this it
Lolly I am so sorry for the sudden loss of a close friend . Prayers for you and all who loved her. How difficult and sad.
Belle did a very interesting dive into the egg cup and is now nestled there.
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
Happy Birthday to our birthday girl, SANDRA!
I can't believe how deep she wants that egg cup to be
She also was arranging some of the flugg
I figured out with the branch on the outer edge is for It is supports for when the time comes they can throw up a blanket so we can't see LOL A partition of sorts like in the hospital room lol
JO, nature is an amazing thing. Perhaps she knows Ol' Man Winter isn't bowing out yet so that she needs a very deep, snug place for her eggs???
Moving on to e-mail and e-news, but will be keeping tabs on the nest and the camera show.
Prayers for all in need!!!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
she is out of the cup again but right on the edge to where he tail is in the cup she looks like she just watched a car go down the road
CAM Tour of the NCTC property went smoothly
Snow is disappearing
Didn't see any deer that sometimes are running on the grounds
BBL
Just watching Belle with the wind blowing on her head and laughed when I thought OH that is where the feathered look comes from
calling out can't here it
shep arrives
I noticed the still get to be a couple of min behind the live feed again
and we have no SOUND when she was calling out a bit ago only hear the humm static on speaker no eagle
they are both just sitting looking around both on either side of cup
lots of beaking
HP HP HP
Good afternoon.
Lolly, condolences on the death of your friend Marion. Prayers for her family and friends.
Chili simmering. Beans and franks cooling. Scullery back in order.
Kay may have a clue regarding the very deep egg cup: winter weather and maybe two or three eggs? Lots of room needed for a large family.
Headed to my recliner to put my feet up and peruse the newspaper.
Bye
that was the longest and different hp
I also would like a sudden death I don't want a long drawn out process
OK gonna LM for a bit
I am back. Furnished lunch for the family and stayed about an hour. They are dazed to say the least. It is just so hard! Thanks for the prayers! No answers yet for their decisions.
See Belle in the nest. No egg yet apparently!
Good Afternoon,
LOLLY - So sorry to hear about the unexpected loss of your friend Marion.
Shep arrives with more materials!!
And Belle takes off!
And Shep takes off...... MT nest!
oh poof
Junco checking out the nest
Lolly, add my condolences for the loss of your friend.
If I don't fall asleep I'll try and watch some tonight.
hello all ! (WAVING!) home from work! man you all were chatty today! can tell we are all EGG cited!
LOLLY: my deepest condolences....hugs light and love to you and those close to you.
MT nest at this time.
good day at work. Tom just got home from his Sat. job. Life is good.
Ya'll have a great night!
Happy Birthday Sandra! Hope you celebrate all day long!
Lolly, sorry for the loss of a woman who sounds like the core of her family and the valued friend she was with you.
Waiting......waiting......
Both eagles in the nest.
I see that work is being done on the nest.
Both still there.
Both poofed
Well, Belle and Shep certainly know how to pull our strings. I managed to spend a good part of the day in front of the computer. Not that I'm complaining, I'm retired and live alone so I can do whatever I please.surely there should be an egg within the next few days!
Checking back and see empty nest. Lolly - So sorry for the loss of your friend. Thoughts and prayers to you and her family.
Okay, listen up Belle and Shep: the momsters are becoming a bit impatient with your antics. Will you two PLEASE get on with the egg laying? We do not like being teased AND remember, we have eagle canes and Jo knows how to climb the Sycamore Palace. So there!
Dinner over. Scullery restored to order.
Headed for my recliner and my new library book.
Will check the nest again later.
Meanwhile, wishing everyone a night of restful sleep.
Sitting out side at Angie
50 and chilly
MT nest
I've been off line - thanks for all your comments
I see MT nest
Going to close down now
Will probably peek back in around 11:00
Goodnight to All ♥
Well the nest sure looks empty and lonely :(
So we wait......
Closing up shop for tonight..........feel like I had one of those days where I did more research than work........and I am still not finding the answers I know are out there!
Tomorrow is another day!
Blessings for a good night....
xoxo
I am shutting down as well, friends.
Goodnight.
Hi,
Glad to know Patricia is getting help from the union. I was always a member of our association just in case of this kind of situation.
Just heard eagle calls, but no eagle in the nest.
My time to turn in! Nest is empty! But, the night is young!😜
Night all! SED
GOOD MORNING eagle buds or is it Goodnight I choose the later need to go to bed
just got home
and the nest is MT
nice evening at Angie celebrating her 46th birthday
wow that make me feel old LOL
Nest MT.
I could not sleep. Now I have two cats in my bed. Allie is watching bird videos on my phone.
Goodorming my eagle friends. There is no sleeping eagle in the nest. :(
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
Yep, we have an MT nest on this early Sunday morn.
Will now read back a bit to see what you're all up to, then on to e-mail and newspapers...BBL
Eagle in.
Now both.
G'morning... Both in the nest and one is laying down for a change!! So I guess they are getting ready for the whole egg laying process. :)
Good morning,
A fresh load of flugg in the nest this morning.
She fluffed the nest up and layed back down and now she is gone. Not sure when she left tho.
Belle took off at 7:30. I thought she was "getting serious" but once again, she fooled me!
Same here Sandi!!! I thought Oh boy this is gonna happen while I watch!
Good Morning!
Sandi, that sounds right to me!
Nest is empty again :(.
Woke up to sunshine and blue skies.....and headache free!
That is a great start for me!!
Wishing everyone a blessed day!!
Good Super Bowl morning.
Linda must have stolen the sunshine because it is overcast and dreary outside my abode. Snow predicted for Monday/Tuesday. Blah!
Nest is empty. Watched the Wildlife Center of VA for a few minutes. A yearling is out. There are seven orphans to be released this Spring.
No special plans for today other than frequent peeks at the nest and doing some reading.
Later...
Good morning to all ♥ Very calm MT nest but it sure looks in good condition and it
really needs some activity going on in our nest.
Everyone enjoy your day - I'll BBL
Good morning eagle buds. Sunshine and blue skies here too, but the last of that for this week. I'll check the nest between a quick trip to the grocery and every Sunday activities. That also includes an evening with PBS.
Eagles back in the nest!
G'morning everyone!! Was cold at 5am when I left for work! Bet it hasn't warmed up much!
Good morning everyone. Will today be the day? Stay tuned. :-)
Thanks for the alert Jewels !
I am wishing the happiest birthday to our Momster
Helen Kalis aka MITS - Wishing her day to be filled
with love and laughter and happiness
One eagle in the nest. I think it is probably Belle, but cannot be sure. Facing the other way.
Happy to know Linda is headache free.
And I join Jo in wishing Mits a happy birthday. I do miss her posts here on the blog.
Cloudy and cold here. Snow in the forecast for Monday-Tuesday. School/bowling just might be cancelled.
Blue jays are hollering this morning. I have given them lots of peanuts. I am picturing blue jays so fat they cannot fly.
Lots of cardinals out there, too. They are more polite than the jays.
Happy Birthday Mits. Hope you have a super-wonderful bowl of happiness today.
Belle is in the nest.
Hi Jerry. Such good news that Rhonda is feeling better and making progress. Enjoy the game.
Shirley, hope you don't get enough snow to cancel activities.
Bye
Good Morning Eagle Buds
What no EGG
Belle has back to us sitting at 12
Good morning!
Happy Birthday to Mits!
Heading to church soon. Ned to eat a bite!
See Belle in nest, but not sitting!
both poof
Hello again, Eagle Buds!!!
Happy Birthday and many more to MITS!!!
Both eagles were in the nest but poofed a sec ago almost simultaneously. Hope it was nothing I said.
now one back
Shep is already back and doing nestorations.
LOLLY, who is this Ned you're feeding today?
JERRY, so happy things are looking up for Rhonda! Give her our best.
Belle joins Shep once more.
both are in working on rail and cup
LINDA, headache free sounds "wonderful good" as my Minnesotan friends would put it.
LYNNE1, you and I are living parallel lives today. You've described the afternoon I have planned to a tee.
Enjoy your Sunday, all, whether it's in front of The bowl game, Downton Abbey or in pursuit of other pastimes!
Both eagles very serious about fussing with flugg and other nestorations. I think they're as anxious as we to get this 2016 show on the road!
Prayers for all in need as I wait a few moments for the nest cam show to begin.

Heard the squeals. Belle looked a little disarranged when I checked. And 2 poofs.
tour
AND POOF
OK.... I have been gone way to long, the camera pans the area???
Is that what you mean by a tour I guess...lol
YEP EVERY day at the same time and sometimes we see deer on the field I hope that they use the pan tilt and zoom with a person after we have hatch lings I wonder will they?
well that is pretty cool. I did notice the one angle was a bit blurry. But I love this feature! I was hoping to see the Eagles in another tree or in the field.
I was hoping to see them too.
Helen (Mits) asked me to thank all of you who have wished her a happy birthday over here.
awww Happy birthday Mits :)
I guess I need to add my Happy Birthday Greetings over here. Sending indeed Happy Birthday to Mits wishes
Calling for Rain Monday and 3-5 inches of snow Monday night and 1-3 inches of snow Tuesday. :(
No! Do you hear me? I said No Snow on the nest!!!
Feeling drained. Emotional time at church today.
Jack has vacuumed and my time to mop. Then I will feel the NEED to feed Ned again! Roflmbo😜😜😜😜
If My no's dont work, yours wont either LOL
Please say prayers for my Jessica. She is battling a bad bad sore throat. She has been to ER and they prescribed her baby safed antibiotic. BUt day 3 its getting worse instead of better.
I have returned from an exceptionally nice Brunch at Dutch's with hubby and our
5 children and their spouses.
Hi Carolyn. Hoping Jessica gets over the sore throat quickly, please and thank you. Otherwise, how's she doing?
Sure hope the snow-making machine has a breakdown soon; as in the next 24 hours.
Jo, so very happy that all the family were together to celebrate. Peanut butter pie? Well, whatever you all had, I know it was not nearly as enjoyable as having the family all together. Also, so glad you had enough to feed Ned. I'm sure Lolly was concerned.
Yes, Judie - they actually had on the dessert table my Peanut Butter Pie!
Thanks Judie and Momma Jo
Judie otherwise she is doing well.
Carolyn, please remind Jessica that momster prayers are powerful and she has our now.
Nest is empty.
Just read back. Yes, prayers for Jessica.
Nest is empty now.
Eagle just appeared in nest. Stuck head into egg cup. Wow, it is deep.
Both in.
Settling into egg cup.
HP
HP AGAIN
well we know they are serious
Thanks everyone I will tell her. :)
Beautiful Belle - what you thinking of doing tonight -
I wish we knew!
We will be watching!
HP again
both are gone again
THAT IS 3 TIMES HP for today
See that the nest is empty!
Happy NED is fed! Good job, Jo!
Good Evening!!
Prayers for all!!
xoxo
Hi,

Nest empty right now, Jo.
Good night.
SED, everyone.
Nest is empty.
Wishing everyone a night of restful sleep.
We liked the outcome of the game! Sorry!
Just peeked at the next and no eagle!
Have Downton Abby recorded and will watch it some time this week.
Now off to bed! Night all!
Have agreyt day all.
G' morning all
Linda, Yes I am going to be a Grandma, I so cannot wait!!
MT nest now.
Good Morning Jerry. I unfortunately missed all the game and shows but noone could tear me away from my kid. Thank you for her well wishes.
Good Morning!
Will check in later, if time permits.......
Have a blessed day!!
Both eagles in the nest now.
Don't know if food was brought in, but one is clearly chewing on something.
Carolyn, thanks and we love you, too!! Say hi to Margy for me. I miss her!
Shep poofed
Belle remains
And Shep landed back again.....just about on top of Belle!!
Moving big sticks around!
Shep poofed again.....and was in less than 30 seconds with another big stick!!
Strengthening the walls........as Bell messes with the egg cup!
Too funny..... Belle nudged Shep out of the way and moved his sticks to where she wanted them.
He walked around the nest.....and poofed again. Hasn't returned yet.
Camera just made a weird noise and is kind of buzzing.
It's a beautiful morning at the nest.....vehicles beginning to come in and out!! Just a little sunshine to make things picturesque!
A fresh new day!! Hoping for good things to come this week!!
I'll stop now.......... :)
Good morning,
I see one of our eagles in the nest. Looking the other way.
Both eagles in the nest.
Fish delivered. Maybe today is the day!
Good morning.
Fresh Monday thread. Come on over.
Looks like that fish is being eaten.
