Happy Thanksgiving to all on this most beautiful day. There is so much to be thankful for in my life - especially my eagle Momsters friends. May you all enjoy this day as you give thanks

OH I am soo mad at my X he told Angie last night instead of waiting till after the holiday that he has prostate cancer It could have waited in my opinion She is so upset Just wanted to vent

I have the squash casserole in the oven and it has about 10 more min to cook so I popped on to vent so sorry

Sandi said...

Judy, I'm sorry to hear the bad news about your ex husband's cancer, but here is something to consider. If one of my parents had been diagnosed with cancer and had kept that news from me, even for a short time, I would have been very upset that they didn't t include me right away so I could be a part of the conversation about treatment options. Plus, this is a very scary thing for your ex- he needs the people he loves to be his support group. Angie is a grown woman, not a child - she can handle bad news. Just my 2 cents.

Ok, we are off to Baltimore. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving to all the blog family.

May each and every one enjoy a day of gratitude for all we have -- family, furbabies, and friends.

Suzan, I have visited the blog and did leave a message. I was just so tired yesterday that I forgot. The PPO baby is so cute. Thank you.

Hoping Belle and Shep enjoy a day of feasting on the Potomac. They may not know to be thankful for us but we know to be thankful for them.

Mema Jo said...

JudyE - Sorry for the news on such a blessed day. Prayers for healing for your Ex.
Hoping Angie can count her blessings and be thankful for her family. Hopefully Angie
will vent and feel better so she knows how to handle this and shows she cares.

Accept my prayers and thoughts on your losing yet another co-worker to cancer. It is
all around us!

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all. Looks like nest is empty this morning. I want to thanks Sandi, Judie and everyone else for the thoughts and prayers for us. Rhonda found out results from her bone marrow scan yesterday...no cancer and red blood cells back to normal. Has 30% blockage in heart. Prayers are powerful medicine indeed. We're doing a small Thanksgiving mea l here and will just relax and watch football games. Hope everyone has a great day and I'm looking forward to the new Cam season. I like everyone else am thankful for many things and this Blog is one of them. Take care all.

Mema Jo said...

Jerry that is wonderful news for Rhonda and you and the children. I agree that prayers are powerful. Enjoy your day - you have a lot to be thankful for.

The day is over but giving thanks for our blessings continues.

Tired. Feet going up.

Hoping everyone had a very special day. Please enjoy a night of restful sleep.

Judie said...

Stopping back to thank Jerry for sharing the wonderful news about Rhonda. No cancer is the best news. The blockage can be taken care of and hopefully very soon. Hope your favorite football team won. Give our best to Rhonda, please.

JudyE, try not to be upset with your Ex. Angie is, indeed, an adult and should be able to cope. Each of us shares news, good and not so good, as we feel most comfortable.

Restful sleep for all.

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We just got home from stepson's house~~plenty of people, dogs, and food! Promised the kitties I would bring them some turkey. Have to cut some up and take it out when the possum goes away!
The most Thankful thing I've heard today is about Jerry's wife, Rhonda!!!!! Momster Prayers seem to work every time~~~~have for me. So thankful for all in our group! God Bless!

Sandi said...

Goodorming my eagle friends.

Jerry, what wonderful news about your wife's scan results!! Thanks for the update - Christmas came early, right?

Very nice day yesterday - good company, good food, and all dogs got along. Getting Janey to do her bathroom thing on-leash, in a new yard with new smells and grass instead of pine needles has been a challenge but we are making do. Michael is already on the ice warming up for his first game which is at 7am. We'll go to this afternoon's game and then head home.

Have a greyt day all.

Janet said...

good after turkey day morning to all.

JUDYE: perhaps his timing was not the best, but, trust Angie, she is a level headed woman. you did a great job raising her. sorry to hear of Tom's prostrate cancer, and while it is scary, typically it is a slower growing cancer and one that is generally speaking, treatable. take a breath sis, all will be okay. I think waiting til after the holiday MIGHT have been easier on everyone else, but yes, people process and do things in their own time and way and you can't change that.

JERRY: good news indeed! :)

it was a quiet day here. I didn't get a lot of sleep, we had stayed up late to watch a movie, and my plans for sleeping in a bit were thwarted by every animal in the place. sheesh! anyway, so we were up early, which, when up was kind of nice, but.....made for a tired Janet.

the turkey turned out perfectly. everyone loved the Cajun spices and deep fried turkey. certainly NOT a healthy alternative, but if you only have it once or twice a year, given everything, eh, I can deal.

and it was quite delicious!

the children were able to play outside nearly all day. trampoline, badminton, throwing a football, just whatever.

the older kids went shopping mid afternoon while the kiddlets played. they got some great deals I suppose. CHelsea said they did a majority of their shopping online from 2 to 4 a.m. the night prior. Me? I slept.

Nothing that important in my book.

Now its work day and I'm glad to go back. 5 days off is quite enough please and thank you.

time for coffee and curlers in their hair.

everyone have a lovely day. holding all close in my heart and thoughts as we delve further into this holiday season.

Hugs

Good Morning, Everyone!

A Belated Happy Thanksgiving to all from me, Ken, and Emma! This last week has been a blur with all the activity here. I wanted to get on the blog and wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving, but was so busy with transcription, phone calls, text messages to and from friends and family, and preparing dinner, that I never quite got here!

JudyE, so sorry to hear of another co-worker's passing. Prayers, hugs, and love to you and her family and friends. I hate cancer!

Ken and I and Emma spent Thanksgiving together at home, and prepared what was, for us, a non-traditional meal. We had a Honey-Baked ham instead of turkey this year, with yams we cooked, then fried in butter. I made my creamed corn recipe, and we had whole cranberry sauce that Ken got when he picked up our ham. Had mince pie for dessert. The meal was yummy, and I'm thankful my blood sugar was not too high late last night. Think we will get a small, 12-15 lb. turkey within the next few weeks and prepare the usual Thanksgiving-type meal. We love turkey leftovers! We're contemplating having a prime rib roast for Christmas--thinking out of the box!

We're so thankful for our family, all of you Momsters and Dadsters, and our other friends this Thanksgiving. We are truly blessed!

Thankful prayers going up for Tori getting on the transplant list (but praying in the hope that she won't need a transplant!), and for Jerry's wife Rhonda being declared cancer free! What wonderful news! We are also thanking God for the nice cool weather we're having! The high was 57 yesterday! Had a bit of rain 2 mornings ago. The 7-day forecast predicts lows mostly in the low 40s all week, highs in the 60s & low 70s, and cloudy with a chance of rain today. When we called the kids in TX yesterday, they were having rain, and they expect more of it all weekend.

JudyE, prayers for your Ex for healing, and prayers for you, Jo, as always--of course, I always pray for everyone here!

Have been crazy-busy doing transcription the last few days. The doctor's office manager sent them to me late on the 20th, but forgot to call to give me a heads-up about it. With all the Christmas shopping and general busy goings-on, I didn't check my e-mail every single day, so didn't find them right away. Should be able to complete them all and get them sent back on Saturday. Yikes! Oh, well. They'll only be getting them one day later than expected, so shouldn't be a problem. Prayers for the office manager's memory! She often forgets to call me when she sends me stuff to do, and I get as many as 50+ e-mails every day. Takes a while to wade through it all, and she doesn't always use an easily recognizable subject line. (Forgive me for venting!)

Well, need to get back to work for a while. We are going to spend most of the day today with our dear friends Jim and Darlene, for a day of fellowship and scripture sharing. Should get home just in time to give Emma her dinner before it gets dark outside, God willing. Ever since the 4th of July Emma is skittish about going outside at dusk to go potty. She's in such a hurry I may need to take up sprinting!

Oh--almost forgot. Someone here (Judie?) asked how Ken is. He's fine, but we think another stitch is trying to surface on his left hand. There's a tiny bump at one end of the incision site, and it's fairly sore. No sign of infection, though, and the rest of the incision is practically invisible it's healed so well. More to be revealed!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day today. I ♥ us!!!

Good morning.

Started out with an early morning view of Belle in the nest before the took off.

Hoping everyone had a wonderful day yesterday. Janet seems to have had a good time.

I see Andy stopped by earlier and reported on a very busy week of activities. Speaking of all the transcription, remember when she was learning and studying? I can still hear us all cheering her on. Dinner menus sound delicious. Hope it's only a surfacing stitch on Ken's hand.

I see Sandi has reported on the Baltimore excursion and everyone seems to be doing fine. What great good fortune that all the dogs get along together and Janey is managing to adapt, sort of.

Darth and I had a nice dinner followed by a total Rip Van Winkle sleep for me. Was up at 7am and thinking a nap may be on today's agenda.

Wishing everyone a lovely day of rest, relaxation, and tasty leftovers.

Good late morning after Turkey Day to all ♥
Yesterday was filled with family, friends, good food and fellowship. Jenny had 12 at her home for dinner - Elliott was his friendly self and everyone enjoyed him being there
After leaving we stopped by our son's home and visited for a while. If all goes well we
will go to Catonsville tomorrow for our final turkey dinner. The season has worked very well for us traveling to our children's homes.

Today I feel like a nap is called for even though I slept soundly thru the night.

IO am very thankful that all of you had good days with family and friends. I guess it is time to put away all my fall decorations and think ahead to our next blessed season.

Getting ready to watch Cam Tour - then perhaps a shut eye for a short time.

Good afternoon eagle watchers.

I trust everyone's Thanksgiving went well yesterday. I had a bit of a drama as my neighbor was having diabetes blood chemistry problems, but all is well now. I took the meal to her house for both of us. Today I will get through the last few days newspapers and junk mail. The recycle bin will be full for the next takeout. No Black Friday shopping for me. Son Dave is home and in decent spirits. Daughter Katie and family are taking a road trip to see other grandmother, then friends in Houston and other relatives in Austin tomorrow before heading home to OK in the forecast rain. Warmish weather here will come to an end tomorrow. It has been nice that there has not been any frozen percipation except for a few lake effect flakes. Usually by Thanksgiving, there has been some. Notice I didn't use the s word.

Hope all have a great day.

Hi all! Just saw Belle and Shep do nestorations.

House is still chaotic! Especially when Joseph plays his grandmothers accordion and Luke "sings", then Michael mocks the dog. Jack and I are considering running away.

Having fun and shall return when I have more time!

Mema Jo said...

Lolly, sounds like your house is hopping!
Enjoy!

Lolly said...

House was hopping! Michael took Zach, Joseph and Jacob to the TCU/Baylor game. It is 40 with a 90%chance of rain. I selected to stay home in front of a fire! And, the house is quiet for the rest of the evening until they return! We have now had close to six inches of rain. It has poured! Knew Michael and Zach were going to the game but we had to scramble to get the boys dressed warmly.

Watching the news. They has been a few deaths due to water on the roads. Why,why do people attempt to drive through water?

Sandi said...

Evening all - we be home!

Took Janey to a dog park today - she was the biggest and fastest dog but didn't have the stamina of the labs and mutts and border collies. Still, she had a good time learning about how many different smelling dogs there are besides greyhounds.

Then we went to the ice rink to watch Michael's hockey game - sadly his team didn't win.

I have really enjoyed seeing everyone's Thanksgiving photos on Facebook the past 2 days!

I will be turning in early tonight - can't wait to sleep in my own bed!

Goodnight all - see you in the early AM!

Good evening,

Just wrote a post that got lost out there somewhere, even though I copied it. So, I will post this message as a test.

stronghunter said...

Our Thanksgiving was very nice.I celebrated with Will, Susan, Vince, Kathryn, and Hunter. There was so much food that we brought home lots of leftovers. The evening ended around the fire pit outdoors where we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores.

stronghunter said...

So happy that there was no cancer for your wife, Jerry.

Hoping that your ex is able to find treatment for the prostrate cancer, Judy. I think that type of cancer can usually be treated successfully.

Sounds like Janey is making an excellent adjustment, Sandi.

Such lively doings at your house, Lolly. I, too, would have chosen to stay home rather than go out to a sporting event in the rain.

Thanks for the nest report, Judie. I do not always get online in time to see the nest activities.

stronghunter said...

So many Thanksgiving celebrations, Jo. It all sounds wonderful.

stronghunter said...

I agree with you, Lynne1. No Black Friday shopping for me either. I do not need anything that much.

Yes, I remember well when Andy was taking all of those classes. Seems they have paid off big time.

1 eagle in followed immediately by #2.

Sandi said...

Wow, just heard a gunshot on the live feed! So did the eagles - they startled but didn't fly away.

Sandi said...

Another shotgun blast, and this one startled both eagles off the nest! Does WV allow hunting on Sundays as well? If not, then we may see our eagles tomorrow but I'm not sure we'll see much of them today.

Sandi said...

Just saw 2 deer running across the field below the nest - run guys, run!!!

grannyblt said...

Good morning.

Those gunshots startled me too. That second shot scattered the Eagles in a hurry. Hunting season doesn't start until Monday in my neck of the woods.

Mema Jo said...

Good morning to alol ♥

Today's date is on the NCTC calendar for Deer Hunt. 6:38am to 11:30am Then again 1:30pm to 5:19pm. I guess it will be a noisy day and hope our eagles go to the river
to do their hunting.

Judie said...

Good morning.

It seems most everyone had an enjoyable and "filling" day of giving thanks.

Only one items on today's agenda for me. Darth and I will attend a memorial service for the wife of one of his neighborhood watch patrolers.

Wishing everyone a lovely day.

Mema Jo said...

Hey There alol - That's all of you - right ?
My morning typing leaves a lot to be desired! And my evening typing isn't much better.

Well today concludes our Thanksgiving festivities as we travel down the road to another feast! This holiday has proven to be worthy of having 5 children! At Christmas I am having the Sat before and the Sat after an open house. If they can't attend one day they have another chance. Or they can come both days!

Take care and have a great day - calling for afternoon showers - so take your umbrella.

I'm sure our eagles will be fine - they don't let fireworks or gunshots upset them.
They will back later today or tomorrow. BBL

Good afternoon!

Guess what.....the house is quiet and Jack and I are alone. Hee Hee....kinda nice after all the uproar!

Laurel and family arrived Wed and went home today. They arrived with two dogs, one hamster, one trombone and an accordion. Mass uproar! Michael and Zach joined us yesterday and they just left. And, on top of all that it has rained three days straight. We are over 7 inches and headed higher as it is to continue tonight and tomorrow. Flash flooding in many areas. We are fine just saturated and have flowing water. On top of the rain, it turned cold! Michael took the three boys to the TCU/Baylor game. They layered and bundled but came home very wet! They did leave the game at half time, but they had fun! Especially Zach! Watched the end of the game here at home. TCU won in the second overtime! Rif Ram!

Then, of course, there was lots of rough housing with the boys!

DFW area has now recorded the wettest year on record! We go from drought to that!

Doing laundry and enjoying the peace and quiet!

good evening to one and all. just a quiet relaxing evening around here.
my day started off, well....I overslept. I had to be at work 8:45 and I woke up @ 8. thankfully I live 15 min from work. I made it, on time, fully dressed, makeup,a nd looking fairly presentable. sheesh! what a start to the day. tom had a cup of coffee for me as I flew out the door!

it was a good day. fully booked. the person who delivers our linens made a terrible mess in the back room so on lunchbreak I got our back room back in order. sheesh! I personally think he takes no pride in his work. my thing is take pride in your work, no matter what job you do.

anyway, home. I was tired. I sat for a bit and did little to nothing. tom and livvy had a late lunch. its been a grab what you want night. there are plenty of left overs.

rain anticipated for several days. that'll be fine. might get some inside stuff done.

hope everyone has a lovely evening. sleep well, my friends.!

Busy couple of days here. Craft show yesterday and a photoshoot with a lady who has 3 dogs. Edited her photos today and sent off the proofs for her cards. Today I did my last session with Disability Assistance Dogs for this year. Those photos still need edited. One of the dogs passed his C.L.A.S.S. and received his PhD today. He was rescued at age 3 and is now age 6. He also does therapy work with his owner who is a psychologist. Neat dog. I enjoy my time in with these trainers and handlers . Patches has gone with me once but the service dogs are all so very much bigger than she is. It is good socialization and most are really well behaved except when we bring one from the shelter over to see how it does with people and other dogs, obedience skills if any etc. Some do great and probably find a home quickly as they go back with recommendations from one of the trainers. Others of course are pretty scared over the whole shelter experience and then find themselves in with more folks and dogs they do not know at all. Those mornings tug at my heart. Tomorrow is church and maybe the last photo shoot for the new animal hospital except for ribbon cutting which is Dec 8. I am still kind of meeting myself coming and going but not taking on anything new. Atleast that is the plan. Will be mailing out packages and some cards this week. I too also plan to make many of my cards ecards. I am looking forward to Christmas with family but will relax more about this whole situation once my daughter's surgery is over and she is on the road to recovery. Trying to not stress to much about the surgery or the flight with Patches but sometimes it catches up wiht me a little. Staying busy helps with all of that.

Hoping everyone did have a good Thanksgiving and is looking forward to the rest of the Holiday Season. It may be the most wonderful time of the year but it surely comes with the ups and downs of life in a somewhat bigger way.

Time to settle things here for the day. SED for everyone.

stronghunter said...

Good evening,

You do sound like you are truly keeping very busy, Glo.

Today was bowling practice day for me. Then Julie and I went out for lunch at Cracker Barrel.

Today is Hunter's birthday, but we will celebrate tomorrow as he and Kathryn had to go to Williamsburg for a funeral service today. Since they were down that way, they are staying the night with Kathryn's friend Angela in Virginia Beach.

I did a bit of Christmas shopping today, and bought Hunter some birthday things--an Underarmour hoodie and some of those fancy socks he likes. There were still some Black Friday prices available. I'll put some cash in his gift box as well. He does seem to appreciate cash.

Please stay dry, Lolly.

I'm with you, Judie. I hope the deer made their escapes.

See you all tomorrow. SED, everyone.

Goodorming my eagle friends - it's a rainy morning here ... but NOTHING like what Lolly has had! A house full of people and animals, including 3 rambunctious boys and 3 days of rain - I'd need a real vacation after that, Lolly!! Wow!

Glo, when is Becky's surgery again? And when are you and Patches flying?

Jo, today should be a day of rest for you and Ed, right? You two sure know how to spread out a holiday!

Shirley, happy belated 15th birthday to Hunter! Just think, this time next year, he'll be driving!!!

Have a greyt day all!

Cleaning the upstairs is on my dance card for today. Sounds like fun, right?

Judie said...

Good morning.

Good grief, Sandi. Your comment about Hunter driving probably sent Shirley into cardiac arrest! Too funny. Just in case, I hope she stops by again today. Glad you had a nice visit in Baltimore.

Shirley, if you're okay, wish Hunter a happy birthday from the momsters. Congratulations on getting a head start on gift shopping.

Glo, what wonderful experiences you have photographing all the critters. Sure must feel good to have a head start on the cards and shopping. Momsters introduced me to ecards and I use them to let others know I am thinking of them. Is Patches going to be able to travel with you as a passenger? Hope so.

Until Jo shared the Thanksgiving marathon, I hadn't really thought about the blessings of having five children. Now it makes sense. Adult children, mostly grown up grandchildren, and adorable great grandchildren = marathon celebrations. Lovely!

Bei Bei sleeping. Our nest empty except for raindrops. Bears sleeping. Run Bambi run!

Raining here. Staying inside. Coffee, newspaper, book, nap.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

My daughters surgery is Dec 17th and if they can't get them all "there is a cluster of stones in her right kidney" then they will go back in a week later. Yes Patches will be in the cabin with me. We fly on the 13th. We will practice longer times in the crate at my feet the next 2 weeks. Off to finish new animal hospital photos this afternoon. I will spend the next few days processing lots of photos and making 2 different DVD's for the animal hospital. It is good that I don't care for football. Put on Christmas carols and carry on.

Good Afternoon Eagle Buds!!!!

I've read the Friday/Saturday/Sunday posts and think I'm up to speed on how you each spent the long holiday weekend. Sounds like a good time was had by all and that's certainly true of my little clan! We'll have great memories of T'Day 2015!

Now wishing you all well as Christmas prep begins!

Thanks for the eagle reports. I guess deer hunting season is not uniform across the nation. My grandson, Cooper, got his first bow and arrow kill a couple of weeks ago. They now have a freezer full of venison. I'm not a fan of hunting or of eating wild game, but their family loves the stuff. And, I do know the NJ deer population must be thinned once a year.

Prayers for all in need---I know pain n' suffering do not take holidays.

Confusion on the deer hunt at NCTC - It is to decrease the number of deer on the property. The food is given to food banks is the hunters don't want. It wasn't
because of hunting season - the hunters had to make special application in order to
participate. It is scheduled another 5 times in December.

Need to get up and mop as Jack vacuumed! Tomorrow we have two repairmen coming. Man to finish working on the dryer and a plumber to work in the front bath. Joseph went to bathe and the thing you pull that changes the water from the tub to a shower disintegrated! Yes,everyone had to showerinourbathroom. Everyone was very good at waiting for their turn.

Jo, thanks for the info. on NCTC - please be sure to share the remaining hunt dates as they get close so we can all cheer for the deer! Love your new Elliot avatar - has he mastered walking yet?

Glo, one week after your daughter's surgery is Christmas Eve - I sure hope the doc gets all of the kidney stones on the first go-round!!

Can't believe it's Sunday evening already! How is it that 5 days off can go so fast and 5 days of work go so slowly? Not that I know what 5 consecutive days of work look like this school year - wink! wink! :) December will consist of two 4-day weeks followed by two 2-day weeks - I think I can handle that!

I know hospitals are staffed for the Holidays but it's a little more well I don't know the words. So yes I hope they can get them all the first time too.

Good Monday morning my eagle friends. It's the last day of November - 3 months of school down!

Jo, saw the video of Elliot walking - too cute! He is a beautiful boy!!

Looks like a couple of chilly, rainy days are headed this way - hopefully not 8"!!

Judy, are you OK? I don't recall you being on the blog at all yesterday - maybe I just missed you.

Prayers for everyone's needs, especially Jo.

Have a greyt day all!
