Hoda I sure hope you have enjoyed your day - of course it isn't over yet up their in Nelson. Remember that Lisa has her beautiful pottery displayed this weekend.
I feel fine but somewhat mentally exhausted. Closing down now and wishing all of you a Goodnight with pleasant dreams........ ♥
I vote with Sharon! Naming and claiming! Inflammation it is and begone too! So good to receive birthday greetings. JUDIE and KAY I miss you two ladies much. I have told the others do many times how blessed I am with your friendships. Always in my heart and sending love and Light.
Bomb Squad SHIRLEY? What am I missing? Glad Rus is OK and at home. I have to listen to the news to find out what happened. Stay safe everyone.
JO, praying meds take care of that inflammation! I like the way your doctor approaches these things, step by step with no panic.
HODA, so good to hear from you on your birthday! Hope it was glorious! Miss you, too and appreciate the shout out to we Non-FBer's!
SHIRLEY, glad Rus was safe--I'm sure he thought you might hear about the threat on the news and worry yourself sick as we mother's are wont to do! So many alerts now for trains and planes as wannabe terrorists see an avenue to create mayhem. Scary world now, but life must go on and we must not let radicals bring us to our knees.
Praying that all will have a Great day and SANDI, that would be Greyt for you!
morning all JO: covering you in light and love. holding you close as always. much love. SANDI: my thoughts are a librarian position would be much nicer than a child who has issues such as Sam did. of course I am enchanted with books so I could be bias.... STRONGHUNTER: yikes. scary stuff to say the least.
mid week. rainy here. cold front moving through, thankful winds have died down.
took Olivia to algebra tutoring last night. as I got off the interstate my car went psycho.
we've had some problems with it "using oil" not appearing to burn it, but it just disappears. this has been on going as tom has been doing research, thinking its the pcv valve? anyway....but this was totally new and wonky.
the check engine light went on. durn. so scan the panel. NO oil pressure and NO water pressure?????? what????? those two systems are not connected???????????? well not much further.....lets get to the library.
just before I hit the library both gauges came back to life and it pegged HOT. I turned the heat on immediately and made it to the library. both gages went off and came back on again in the mean time.
so tom came out, it had indeed over heated. put coolant in, and found there is a leak, not a large one, but I certainly saw it as we poured in the coolant.
ended up towing it home on the RV tow dolly. thankfully we remembered we HAVE the tow dolly. last time we were downtown in a not so good part of town (july) when the wagon's alternator went out and we had that situation that scared the mess out of me. (and tom)
also, thankful it wasn't raining yet and it was warm. yikes. now thankful we have 3 vehicles.
so that's my story for yesterday.
work today. need to get ready! will check in later.
Jo, I am excited about your inflammation! Us COPD'ers know how to handle this! I know you will soon be saying so long to the cancer docs! Claiming only positive results.
Good late morning to all ♥ Dark clouds hovering over my valley and gusty winds. Rasin should be here soon.
JudyE - Caps Lock got you too - I blame it on my nubby fingers..
I am out of here shortly - Lunch date Big Time - Hubby and I are going to Middle School to have a Early Thanksgiving Lunch with Alexis - ggd. Afterwards we can go to the classroom to view and hear about their Science Projects.
Janet sure hope today is a good one for you!
Yes Suzan us COPDers know all about medicines that heal!
Everyone have a good day -0 sun is shinning here for now
JO is your key board small my hand together are larger than the key board on the lap top, on the desktop is ok and I dislike the tablet also small key board. I have long fingers and when I hit the a or q or in that are the cap lock goes on. Just have to learn to slow it down LOL
Good morning! Still sitting in my chair, cat on my chest and now on my legs, drinking coffee, reading the newspaper, and scanning fb. Time toget a move on!
But, first prayers for Jo!
Scary situation for your son, Shirley!
Today going to move plants into greenhouse. Weather going to dip into the 30's in a few days. Going to be busy with Thanksgiving and Christmas, so best do that now. Wish I could get Jack interested in putting out yard lights while the weather is good. Not turn them on, just put them out!
Tomorrow taking dinner to Denton and attending a jazz band concert. My boy will be dressed in black pants, black shirt, black dress shoes, black belt and purple tie. Yes, Grandmommy has been shopping! Band is sooooo expensive!
We had a delightful lunch with Alexis - for cafe' food the turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, biscuit, apple crisp and even the gravy was good. After the lunch we walked to 2nd floor of this new school and down the long corridor to Alexis' classroom. All the student's science displays were there for us to see. I have pics on FB of course.
JudyE - talking about turkey hubby and I stopped at Boston Market. Whenever we pass there the business just doesn't seem to be much. You're right about the servings' size. Plenty to take home. Hubby got chicken and I got turkey - their gravy was NOT good.. too greasy.
Last evening and I usually stay up until 1:00am - I could not for the life of me get to sleep -------Suzan I remembered the Prednisone........lol
JudyE - my keyboard is Large Print but I didn't need to see the keys better -I know them with my eyes closed - however; I wanted the keys size to be larger for my nubby fingertips.
Well we are gong out again at 5:00pm - Cancer Center having Lung Cancer Symposium - They asked me to comment on the Cyberknife! Since I use it seemingly more then others
I could be back around 8pm - IF NOT this is my GOODNIGHT TO ALL
Good evening all. I watched the evening visit also. Wish it was the two of them.
Received news from my daughter in law that my son Dave is in hospital again. He had a seizure last night and fell out of bed. He is doing better today. His blood chemistry is very low for calcium, potassium and magnesium. He has several health problems and is on a very restricted diet due to medications. The low numbers caused the seizure. Good thoughts would be appreciated.
Got a phone call from Jack's sister tonight. She has been diagnosed with Parkinson's. We were not surprised as we saw signs of it when she was here. She has had symptoms for the last year and ignored it! Tried to deny something was wrong. Do not understand that kind of thinking.
Well, Shirley, I bet the gleeful kitten greeting was just the right prize, after all. Was this a new bridge group of new people joining your original group?
Sandi, enjoy the day reviewing in the absence of drama.
Hopefully, Lynne2 will have seen a doctor and will report in today.
Lolly, hope your sister-in-law will respond well to what treatment is available.
Lynne1, prayers for Dave and all the family.
Maybe Glo will stop by later. Bet she and patches and the crew have about finished those holiday cards.
Good morning everyone It's me stopping by :-) I do that most days but often just don't have time to stop to write much I kind of speed read through. I am always afraid I will forget something important. I do always look for struggling situations to add to my prayer list. You all help with that so much as serious kinds of things get addressed more than once here and call my attention to those folks and their needs. BIG HELP.
Judie Yes I have a pile of cards made out and addressed. Not in the mail yet though. Some gifts are wrapped. Others are being shipped ahead unwrapped. I will have wrap time when I get there is my hope. Zoey is holding her own. Patches has an ear infection so she went to see the vet yesterday. We're on it. Snow in the forecast so off to get prepared for first winter storm of the year. hagd everyone.
