It is 80° out now yesterday it was 90° but with the dewpoint in the low 50 didn't feel that hot

So true, Sandi. I have said that same thing to my assistant principal. I had a student who constantly interrupted my class trying to assert himself as the one in charge. Discussion would center around which kid he beat up the past weekend and which kid he would beat up the next weekend. There were comments about his most recent time in court and how amused he was with his court experience.

AP kept telling me how this kid was entitled to an education. I said that the others in the class were also entitled to an education. Eventually, the boy was sent to alt ed. I hope things worked out well for him.

Cam continues to move about. Interesting.

Sandi, I am hoping all of this has a good outcome for all concerned. Parents should sit up and take notice since the police are involved - I PRAY.

The Cam was set for an automatic tour test - I think some were able to get a video
to use as feedback to NCTC

Sandi, an oral threat to any employee of an elementary, middle or secondary school while on a school bus, school property, or attending a school-sponsored activity OR who threatens to kill or do bodily injury to that person is guilty of a Class I misdemeanor. Sam can be prosecuted by the city, town, or county where the threat was made.

With all my heart I hope he is prosecuted BUT the judge will remand Sam to a half-way house for full-time supervision and intense psychotherapy. He would likely benefit from a current neurological evaluation to assess brain abnormalities.

Okay, on a brighter note, laundry is near finished. Need to iron Darth's dress shirt for tomorrow. Cornish hens are awaiting their final fate.

Good afternoon. Jumping in while on hotspot with my cell phone. Plate remains pretty full for me. The good news is Zoey has eaten and kept food down for the last couple of days pretty good for me. Maybe I caught it quick enough this time to head off the seriousness of the disease we had to fight last time. her liver values are indeed poor but she is currently feeling better.

I have managed to miss both cam pan and zooms but eventually I guess I will catch one. Anxious for eagle season to really start.

Sad for Sam and all the responsible adults in his world who see the seriousness of this situation. Hoping someone can get through to this young boy and very soon!!!

Lynn my daughter will be having surgery I think going in through her back to get 3 stones. They actually found the mass they removed last month while doing the tests and plans for this stone removal. Patches and I will fly to be with her whenever they manage to get this on the schedule. She is hoping for Christmas break so as not to lose too much more time from school.

Norma Shar thanks for the update on Norma. Yep she is one cherished and well loved lady. I do hope there was some Happy in her birthday and some happy every day.

The cam picture now of our two eagles side by side is breath taking

Sandi said...

Hi all. Home from school and ready to start my 3-day weekend. Have been watching our eagles in the nest for a bit.

Judie, thanks for the info about the law. I sure hope this offense is serious enough to justify a change in placement for Sam, even one within our school. Sadly, I doubt that will be the case. My understanding is that he threatened 2 teachers last year and the only consequence was that he was removed from their class.

Glo, thanks for the update on Zoey; I know that every day you have her purring beside you is a real blessing.

Judy, I had to laugh at your comment that you deleted a post b/c of a spelling error! You generally type your comments so fast that you almost always leave out capital letters, periods, commas, and sometimes whole words! Sometimes I have to read your posts twice to figure out what you were trying to say! :)

Shirley, thanks for the recent Hunter stories - as the mother of 2 boys, I always enjoy hearing them! Like you, my cleaning lady only does the first floor so I take the dogs and go upstairs when she's here.

Jo, I agree that it's beautiful to watch our birds with this new cam - I can hardly wait for nesting season to begin!

Mema Jo said...

Our eagles are trying to moe some of those sticks in that huge pile.

Stick fight - Stick fight - lol

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I have a feeling somebody is going to be bleeding after they finish fighting over that stick aka tree.

grannyblt said...

The Eagles have been in nest for over an hour. They certainly are managing to find the most unmanageable sticks in their territory.

Judie said...

Wonder if Belle and Shep are practicing for an Olympian avian stick competition? Too funny.

Headed for the scullery.

Jo, I see Miss Fisher is back tonight at 8pm.

Judie said...

Ooops, hi Glo, so happy Zoey seems to be doing much better. She has a wonderful mom.

stronghunter said...

Loving that night view at the nest.

Cheeto has decided to jump on the counter and check out the Chinese dinner. Hmm. Not good.

stronghunter said...

Somehow the dishwasher control got bumped. It started running and so far it is doing okay. One reason I wanted to wait. Maybe something was banging around in there and got knocked back into place. However, the thing takes forever to wash a load of dishes.

Judie said...

Hi Shirley, glad the dishwasher is working. Has to faster than I at washing/drying dishes. I've used a spray bottle filled with water to discouraged critters from jumping on kitchen counters, furniture, etc. Spray and yell no!

Jo, sorry but Miss Fisher was again a repeat. So, moved on to a repeat of Downton Abby. May just read a bit before denting the pillows.

Also, Jo, how is Newt?

Has Hunter found out that you are an undercover homework spy? Too funny.

Headed to watch tv or read a few pages. If I don't return, I wish everyone a night of restful sleep.

MY STONE IS ON THE MOVE.....

Lynne2 said...

Keeping cats off of counters and other places...

You know that stuff that's plastic that you put down on carpet, like a plastic runner to protect it? Cats do not like the nubbie on the other side, and using pieces upside on the counter will help deter them from getting up there.

Lynne2 said...

Glo, praying that Rebecca's surgery happens soon than later ... I'd have for one of those suckers to try to move....

stronghunter said...

Thanks for the kitty control suggestions. I might have to resort to one of those things very soon.

Mema Jo said...

Prayers Lynne2 - OUT OF THERE STONE ♥ Oh hope your pain pill is a good one!

Mr Newt is well - no ailments whatsoever - thank goodness cause I was worried.

No TV tonight!

Off I go to La La Land - SED for all ♥

Sandi said...

Goodorming my eagle friends. Nest is MT. The temp here is 39 degrees this morning. We turned the heat on for the first time before going to bed last night.

Lynne2, how are you feeling this morning? Sending prayers and positive energy your way. Would you prefer that the stone passes on its own (not that you have a lot of control over what it decides to do)? It would seem to me that blasting it with sound waves would be a lot less painful, right?

Property owners association meeting this morning, then it's time to pack away the summer clothes.

Have agreat day all.

Judie said...

Good morning.

Sandi, I see you've already stopped by. Did you notice that it's dark this time of morning?

Lynne2, hope you have a relatively painless day.

Jo, glad Newt is okay. Perhaps a chat with him about staying inside? Yeah, I know. lol

Headed to NJ for Darth's 60th high school reunion. Plan to return this evening. Long day but rather come home.

Wishing everyone the very best day possible.

Kay said...

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

JUDIE, thinking of you and Darth as you head for the reunion---hoping for safe travel and lots of fun with his "old" friends!

LYNNE2, oh my, here's hoping you're making it without excruciating pain! Stay strong!

SHIRLEY, glad the dishwasher glitch was temporary! Mine takes a very long time to go through it's cycle and I never have it on machine dry, but boy does it get em' clean. I've read that no matter how carefully one washes and dries dishes there is no way to duplicate the sanitizing done by a properly working machine. However, I figure I'm on my last one as I only have to run it once a week when I'm along and twice if I have a little company. No reason to invest in another with that small need.

Wish I'd been on hand for the Belle n' Shep show last night! They are such fun to watch!

Have a great Saturday everyone!!!

Prayers for those in need!!!

Jordyn left her leap pad on the couch. I texted Angie last night to let her know.
Jordyn may be going to try out a child zumba class today if she goes to I will go to watch. Waiting to hear from them.
Think I will go out and clean out the truck some what and look for one of my CD covers maybe under the seat or else the truck ate it.

Mema Jo said...

Good Saturday morning to all ♥ Temps here this morning are way down there! The mums love it but I am keeping my doors and windows closed. It's windy at the nest.

No plans - nothing new to report - I do have about 3 weeks free of any Dr appointments
or commitments which is good!

The word is that Elliot will be dressed as a little Hoot Owl for Halloween. Can't wait to see him. A new family moved in across the street and have 2 young children so I just
may have some cute trick-or-treaters. Hubby wanted to go ahead and buy the candy this soon and I know exactly who would be eating his favorite and leaving the milk duds for the kids- lol

Judie - Michael also has a high school reunion this evening. Hopping you and Frank have a fun time renewing old friendships. I guess it is his 35th - not sure.

Everyone stay warm - BBL

Good afternoon,

Bowling practice and lunch with the team today. Now snuggled with a purring orange kitty. Need to think about what to serve tomorrow for dinner with the family. We are celebrating birthdays for Rus and Kathryn. Still not sure if Rus will be here. Sometimes it takes awhile for him to respond to messages. Told him we are celebrating his birthday and asked if he is coming. :)

Lynne2 said...

JO how are your kitty's feet???

Lolly, how are Laurel's eyes today???

Judy, zumba for kids must be very entertaining to watch!

Judie, hope you and Darth have fun at the reunion tonight! No doubt he has the most beautiful wife!

Shirley, sure would be a shame if Rus missed his birthday celebration. But just PARTY ON!

Steve just talked to his mom, they had a dusting of snow today!

My stone ( I have named it Kid Rock!) is still there. Thankfully no need for additional pain meds today, not nearly so uncomfortable. I'd really like it to pass on it's own...not thrilled about having to have this procedure. It could still pass, it's certainly in an area now where the ureter gets wider and if it can just make it into the bladder, I don't think the pain will be too bad since it's past the narrowest part of the trail.....

Janet said...

good afternoon to one and all. its been kind of a crazy busy week. LYNNE2: hope your "labor" goes smoothly and quickly. Tell KID ROCK to be born already and be done with it!

its a beautiful but cooler day here. 62 and breezy. went into the upper 30's last night and lower 30s' tonight they say.

the oldest and her family went boy scout camping last night (I have the furbaby atm). well, even with all the blankies and such they were COLD...so Chelsea and Lorelei came home this a.m. showered, etc and decided no dice...not sleeping on the ground in the cold tonight. I think Chris is coming home with kids after the campfire tonight. Chelsea is supposed to pick the furbaby up in a bit.

I plucked all tomatoes of any size off of the vines. I will freeze them once they ripen.

tom and I bought a new toy today. an electric turkey deep fryer. I think I will test it out on some chicken tomorrow. its smaller and looks more stable than the propane ones. hope it works well!

was supposed to work today, but they took me off of the schedule due to the shoulder....still and again. been doin the physical therapy and all...

not a lot going on really. I am going to the salt cave on Monday with a friend who has been wanting me to go for some time. I've never been.....supposedly it helps with all sorts of things. we shall see.

have a great day to all. will check in later.

Mema Jo said...

So Janet you are going floating tomorrow. Anxious to hear from you when you finish.

MY HEAT IS TURNED on ! YOU CAN ALWAYS TELL IT BY THE SMELL WHEN YOU FIRST TURN IT ON.

Sorry about my caps - at times I have very FAT fingers... I'm not really hollering.

The other day on my birthday I got a card from Margie - It was a beautiful greeting but no letter. She must be doing well ♥

No special treatment needed for Mr Newt's feet....... Yeah!

Thinking ahead - this evening I have a new Hallmark movie called October Kiss. I know I'll like it already.

Time for meds and then something to eat. Everyone stay warm (Ok to turn on the heat for the freeze this evening) Wear your socks!

IF (BIG IF) I don't return then Goodnight to All ♥

And now an MT nest - short visit this evening.

Mema Jo said...

Really short - but hey! Who wants to work on a Saturday Evening?

Judie said...

Good evening.

Darth and I have returned safely to our abode. We had a nice time. It was the 60th high school reunion. Some nice people and interesting how quickly the conversation turned to those who were no longer among the living. Still, it seems everyone enjoyed catching up.

Lynne2, I also hope Kid Rock decides to make a speedy and painless exit.

Our heat is on. We no longer do Holloween. Children are generally about 5'10" to 6 ft. Like someone Jo knows, candy purchased now would dwindle to a precious few of non-favorites and the numbers on the scale would increase accordingly.

Shirley, glad you had a nice day with bowling and lunch. I do hope Rus can be there to celebrate his birthday. Whatever you serve, I know will be terrific (like order in Chinese). lol Have fun.

Jo, a picture of the little hoot owl is required, please and thank you.

Okay, now to get into my recliner clothes and put my feet up.

Wishing everyone a night of restful sleep.

Hello, Eagle Buds! Just wanted to give you an update on the TX fire. Your prayers have helped. Some of the wind settled down since Friday, it's 45-50% contained and hasn't moved towards Sherry and Jim's since Friday. Jim got home at 10AM Friday and moved his boat away! He had to cancel the Hawaii flight, but got his frequent flier miles back due to the circumstances. Some of the TX news reports I've read online state that they learned a lot from the 2011 fire which was the largest! Well, Duh, we hope so!
Here's another Duh for you~~~~we held the American Indian Festival at the Park today. There were signs all over the roads, many with Indian type arrows pointing the direction to drive.
However, many people could not drive straight down the road, but turned left and came to the Visitor's Ctr., NOT the huge field. One lady said she did see the sign with the arrow but didn't know what it meant!!!!!!!
Won't be able to answer a mystery? or not, yet. I mentioned awhile ago that I had tried to see the eagle's nest at Park from one of our semi-viewing spots through the gaps in the leaves. Pics I took only showed a tree. Today I was spurred to do exploring on the left side of the creek valley. I had gone there once several late summers ago and at one spot, the tree and nest were right above me! Saw a few downed trees today, but most looked rotten anyway and not the beech tree home!. I even hiked a little further ahead & saw nothing familiar. Coming back, I did stop at what I had just seen awhile ago and it was a large, spread out mound of sticks with broken ends. Have to work on pics and send to our Park expert. Greg may already know something. If it is down, hope they rebuild in same area or an even better viewing spot.

stronghunter said...

Meant to cut some zinnias for an arrangement for tomorrow, but forgot. Hope they are not frozen tomorrow. I do not plan to go out and get them tonight!

One kitty sleeping on my bed tonight. The other one might be behind the dresser or in the shower. Who knows?

Glad you made it safely over that bridge, Judie. Halloween continues in this neighborhood. Still plenty of young families.

Happy to learn that the Texas fires are not so threatening, Loretta.

Wishing the best for you, Lynne2. Hope that stone makes its exit painlessly.

Yes, Kay, I am happy the dishwasher seems to have recovered. Like you, I enjoy the convenience and the clean dishes, especially when someone in the household is sick. I think it takes about three hours to do a load. That gets to be a problem when I don't want to leave it running when we are away or sleeping.

Glad to know the eagles made a visit this evening, Jo. We are going to want to see pictures of that little hoot owl.

I am sure you will enjoy those tomatoes, Janet. I have a few green ones out there, but no ripe ones.

Sandi said...

Goodorming my eagle friends - it's 38 degrees here so no frost but mighty chilly when I took the dogs out. Venus, Mars, & Jupiter are visible in the eastern sky again this morning.

Property owners meeting yesterday was productive - got the budget for next year approved. Spent the afternoon picking up branches and sticks on our wooded lot next to the house in preparation for a fence that will be installed this week. Here in South Bethany, there is no place that a dog can run off-leash - dogs are allowed on the beach in the off season but even then, they're supposed to be on leashes. The town council has absolutely no interest in creating a dog park. So we're splitting the cost of a fence with several neighbors who have dogs to create an area where ours can be off-leash.

Today, I MUST get the upstairs cleaned and my summer clothes packed away. I WILL stay focused.

Loretta, it's good to see you on the blog more often. Good news about the fire staying away from Sherry's house.

Lynne2, good luck with Kid Rock.

Judie, thanks for letting us know you made it home safely. I gave up the high school reunions after 20 years.

Judy, did you ever hear if your December vacation was approved? You may have already said but I've forgotten.

Kay said...

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

Oh Happy Day, finally in on nest activity with both eagles enjoying the morning sunlight there. One just poofed--Shep, I think. They are soooo beautiful and the cam is soooo wonderful!

Shep has returned, is digging around a bit and they do a little beaking.

SANDI, nice to hear of a "productive meeting"---so many we go to in this life are a complete waste of time. How nice that you have that lot and some help with a fence for a dog park!

JUDIE, happy to hear you're safely back home after a day with Darth's former classmates! Hope it was great fun and worth the grueling drive.

Belle and Shep just had quite a tussle over that stick SANDI mentioned. I think it's just a way for the two to play--reminded me of two dogs playing tug of war.

Have a grand and glorious Sunday, won't you? I've no definite plans and will just let the day unfold as it will.

Prayers for all in need--with a special request for all in the path of wildfires!

Its a beautiful bright morning here. we had some frost on the roof and the air smells so sweet and fresh.

thinking we will get started on cleaning the outside of the RV today. it is supposed to warm up a bit more.

Chelsea (oldest) came by and picked up her furbaby yesterday. Trixie was most glad to see Mama. She and Lorelei were heading to a friend's house . Good mid-morning.

Loretta, you had a nice day to be out and about. Very good news about the fire near Sherry and Jim. Hopefully, as it seems to be nearly contained, the danger is over for them. Interesting how some people just never learn "sign" language. Suspect you may have found the downed nest and, if so, will hope the eagles rebuild nearby.

Sandi, the "dog park" will be a terrific place for the dogs to socialize and play and get some great exercise. All critters, human and animal, will be happy. STAY FOCUSED!lol

When I looked, think it was Belle still on the nest rim and it looks as if those sticks (timbers) are already beginning to look like roughed-in crib rails. Never ceases to amaze me how they are able to weave those sticks.

Kay, enjoy your day of quiet with Penny.

Good Morning

Caught a few minutes of the lovely nest cam w/eagles.

Got my flu shot yesterday morning. Arm much less sore than in previous years. The clinic was in a Pediatrician's office, so I got a Mickey Mouse bandaid.

The promised lake effect snow missed us and I saw no frost this morning. The weatherman has predicted back to seasonal temps for this coming week.

Janet, my worst camping experience was at a family boy scout campout. The temp hovered around 30 all day with a little sleet and freezing rain. We didn't have a heater and left after the evening campfire. I have never been so cold in my life.

Judie I hope you enjoyed the reunion. I think it must be universal for folks of our age to always have the topic of conversation turn to either the death report or the medical update.

Sandi so nice that you and your neighbors are creating a dog park. I have a fenced in yard, which is unusual around here, and feel it is wasted with this dogless household. The cats don't respect the boundries.

So glad the Bastrop fires are staying away.

I hope Kid Rock behaves himself and causes no further pain.

My dishwasher is 20 years old and still works well. However, it is not really built in. Just attached to the end of the counter. It has a cutting board top. In order to replace it, I would be paying $600 for a $299 machine--basically paying for the frame. So I have gotten bids to have the old countertops replaced and a permanent home for the dishwasher. I was planning to spend most of the cold weather in the south, but this project and others may hinder my plans.

Sorry I have gabbed on so long. I hope all have a great day.

Mema Jo said...

Shirley enjoy your family day - I'm sure it will be great and I hope the kittens like
all the commotion. Mr Newt still runs to the door the minute he knows someone is visiting in the house.

Sandi - happy to hear about you and some neighbors creating a dog park. You will need some signs that remind the owners that You Poop - You Scoop. lol

Loretta - I hope you can relax a bit thinking of Sherry and that the fire is being contained

Lynne2 Hope the Kid Rock leaves you today!

Lynne1 No Snow here - too cold to snow - lol

My advice to all is to try to Stay Warm and Wear Socks ♥ (thoughts of Hoda)

Self when was the last time you used it and it came back to me when we were at Adventure Island. I gave it to Angie since I didn't bring a purse and she has it I texted her and waiting to see if she has it still.

Good late afternoon:

LYNNE1: the funny thing is, Chelsea’s hubby was laughing at her for bringing all of the thick heavy blankets and dressing in 5 layers. He brought a tank top and shorts to sleep in and finally had to conceded that “Chelsea, you were right”. Oops!
Its been a lazy day here.
I bought Dax a coat last night, but, it was “too small”. GASP so a trip BACK to petsmart was in order, with Dax and Beano in tow so I can try stuff on him. While in there, we decided to get Scout a new harness so we can take the heelers for a walk….
Well while in there….a worker there suggested this harness, it goes around the muzzle and the neck behind the ears and stops pulling. ….well scout is so energetic that she wants to RUN and GO FAST when humans may not….so, we put this on her…and after much fussing on her part, attempting to and actually pulling it off a few times, we snugged it down enough and off we went. And guess what! It worked!!!! I am very pleased.
JUDYE: I am excited about the salt cave tomorrow. I’ve wanted to go for a couple of years and am finally making it happen.
Another freeze warning tonight.
No snow predicted yet, lol. Thankfully. Not ready for that.
Going to try out the turkey fryer on chicken legs tonight. Fingers crossed
Later ya’ll. hugs

Hi all. I did get the upstairs bedrooms and all 3 bathrooms cleaned. But then i got a call to play some tennis so I didn't get my summer clothes packed away. Oh well, tomorrow is another day off for me, although i have several appointments.

Judy, as i watched the eagles this morning - for about 2 hours I'm slightly embarrassed to say - they kept flying out and returning with sticks and they would pretty much just drop them. A few were placed at the edge of the nest, but i got the sense that today was about just bringing stuff in, like you have a cord of firewood delivered and dumped at your house but you may not stack it right away. One thing I am sure of is that both of our eagles know exactly what they're doing when it comes to nest building.

Be careful driving without your license Judy. BTW, after you commented about how easy it is to do screen captures from your tablet, i Googled how to do it using my iPad - wow, super easy! Only problem is, i generally watch the nest from my laptop not my iPad.

Need ro run to the grocery store for an ice cream cake for Kevin who is 32 years old today, tehn fix some food for people and pets.

Later!

JudyEddy said...

SANDI that is why I was concerned with not having a licence. I got it now and am back home I would have never noticed it but when I got my gas card out it is in a pull out pocket thingey with my atm card and insurance card and I end up pulling them all out to shuffle for the right card I am so happy I did remember where it was thankful for that and to think I have been driving without it for over a week now. LUCKY me I guess!

evening all!

Pretty tired! Gardening job yesterday, then had to do kennel last night due to no show employee, continue gardening job today.

Kid Rock seems to still be there. I have very little discomfort today but my urine is way bloodier than it has been. SURELY TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!!

Lynne2 said...

we had about 10 minutes of a pretty good snow shower at 1:15 this afternoon!

stronghunter said...

Good evening,

Lots of family fun this evening. The kitties were both entertaining and entertained. They got to hear lots of wildlife sounds on the cell phones. Rus played meowing sounds of tiny kittens and caused them to go looking for kitties in distress. They reacted the same way to the sounds of puppies. I think they are plenty tired now.

First fire in the fireplace this evening. It is plenty cold outdoors already. The frost got my zinnias. I did not even try to make a bouquet. Just purchased a couple of pots of chrysanthemums and put them on the front porch. I am sure we'll have frost again tomorrow morning. My poor nasturtiums got badly nipped. They will probably be completely gone tomorrow.

Allie Cat is purring and curled up next to me. Cheeto is exploring the back part of my dresser. At least I think he is still back there.

See you all tomorrow. SED, my friends.

stronghunter said...

Oh good grief, Lynne2. I am not ready for snow already.

Good Morning Eagle Buds

Sandi said...

Goodorming my eagle friends. 33 degrees here this morning. Indian summer is coming - the next couple of days after today are supposed to rebound to 70.

Lynne2, hope you are hanging in there - is Kid Rock still with you this morning?

Lolly, how was your retreat weekend?

Dana, saw the photo of Annemarie sleeping on the sofa next to Javalin - how's the patient doing with her recovery?

Jenni has a vet appointment today. When she went for her dental last August, the vet discovered a tumor behind one of her lower canines. He removed as much of it as he could. The biopsy showed that, while it wasn't cancerous, it would grow back and invade her lower jaw. Due to her age, we opted not to have radical surgery done that would remove part of her jaw bone and not to pursue chemotherapy.

The vet said there was no way to know how quickly or slowly it would grow back. Sadly, it has grown back and is larger now than when it was found 15 months ago. It has pushed her lower canine out until it's at about a 70 degree angle and, when I brush her teeth, I think I'm starting to feel a little movement in that tooth. So I think it's time for another surgery to reduce the size of the tumor and relieve the pressure on her canine. Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday. I guess today's visit will be to take a look at it and probably draw some blood to make sure she's OK for anesthesia since she had elevated liver enzyme levels when she went for her check-up in August.

Have agreat day all.

Judie said...

Good mid-morning on this crisp sunshiny Monday.

No agenda items today other than a visit to the cardiologist. Medication adjustment.Have the makings for pumpkin bread. Might put that on the afternoon agenda.

Shirley, so happy you all had such a fun time with each other and the kitties.

Lynne2, hope the day "passes" easily for you. My apology, I forget when the blasting is to occur. Please remind me.

Sandi, very sorry about Jenni and her health issues. You know you have a entire support system here.

Now need Glo to stop by with her critter update.

Wishing everyone and all the critters the best day possible.

Kay said...

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

SANDI, hope Jenni is in good shape for the work that is needed. Poor little girl! Wise of you to drop the chores in favor of tennis. Changing out seasonal clothing can wait, but a tennis opportunity cannot! Hope Kevin enjoyed his cake--Ice Cream is always in season!

SHIRLEY, enjoyed reading about the Family Night fun with kitties providing much entertainment! Hope the birthday boy was pleased with the dinner party in his honor.

LYNNE2 thinking of you and Kid Rock. Wishing that durn thing outta there and you feeling chipper once more.

I don't think Belle and Shep are trying to make the nest smaller. I think they're just laying supplies and it's pretty smart of them to gather twigs before snow covers them over. There will be plenty of snarking at each other when they begin to disagree about the placement of those twigs!

This is change the bed linen and laundry day here with plenty of time left over to enjoy the great and beautiful Autumnal outdoors!

Prayers for all in need!!!

Kay said...

JUDIE, hi! I think Thursday is Blasting Day, if needed, for LYNNE2. IMHO, if the medicos in charge had ever had a kidney stone they would never have put the procedure off for so long. Days of needless agony!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Good morning my eagle budlets. Please send us some prayers and positive energy as I take Hairy this afternoon to cross the Rainbow Bridge. He has a perianal hernia that his bladder has now gone into. The vet said it is very painful for them. They could do a $900 surgery on him but the surgery isn't successful a lot of times. So, here we go again. Just lost Scooby and now Hairy. Pet population is dwindling for sure.

Judie said...

About to depart...

Shar, you have a very difficult and emotional task today. Hairy will be with Scooby and they will be together again. Very sorry.

Kay, enjoy having clean laundry followed by the crisp outdoors with Penny. Thank you for the blasting day reminder.

Thinking of Sandi and her Jenni.

JudyEddy said...

SHAR so so sorry in the task that you have ahead of you

SANDI you also hope all turns out ok

Sandi said...

Back from the vet & I am temporarily Jenni-less. The vet discovered a heart murmur and an irregular heartbeat that he didn't hear back in August. So he wants to take a chest xray to take a look at the size of her heart and also wants to get an xray of her head to see how much the tumor in her mouth has invaded her jaw bone. MTBR.

Shar, i am so sorry that you are losing Hairy. Focus on the love he gave and received during his lifetime - that's all we can do when we have to say goodbye. Sending prayers for you and Thelma.

Mema Jo said...

Another Monday is here and before you know it Saturday will be staring us in our faces.
The weeks are going by too fast for me.

Sharon - Sandi Praying for each of your pet's special needs.

Lynne2 - Prayers for Kid Rock to just leave without causing anymore pain. I sure wish
like Kay that you didn't need to wait until Thursday to get it Blasted.

NEST: I really can't be sure of their intentions - It certainly looks as though the pile of sticks are in fact the crib rails. Perhaps the lower end of the nest is not stable - only the eagle knows. Time will tell ♥

Now to figure out what to do after dark
I remember my dad using gas or kerosene
e but will check with Rick Angie FIL has a bug business meanwhile I am not going out in case they know it was me LOL

Going to put my feet up for a little while.

Hoping Sandi gets a positive update on Jenni and that Shar is at peace.

Sandi said...

The vet has not called and I am getting worried. How long can it take to do 2 xrays?

Thinking of Sharon & Thelma this afternoon.

Lolly said...

Good afternoon!

Had a great weekend! So very neat to get away with friends to a beautiful place. We stayed up late playing games, talking and laughing til tears fell! Got home and Jack and I headed to Denton to celebrate Joseph's 15th birthday. We had fun! And, we came home late and I was exhausted! Slept 10 hours last night!

Then spent most of the day outdoors watering plants!

So, Sandi, what is happening at school? Lynne, how is Kid Rock?

One of Laurel's eyes was better yesterday, but her right eye was still blurry! She was supposed to call the doctor today. Have not talked with her.b

JudyEddy said...

Tonight into Thur is the orionid meteor showers from Halley's comet

Sandi said...

Jenni is home. Her heart is enlarged but there is no cluid around it -early stages of cardiac disease is the diagnosis. The vet feels she will be ok for the anesthesia so Wednesday's surgery is a go. Vet thinks that the tumor is mostly soft tissue and has not invaded her jaw bone which will make removal easier.

Oh Sandi...thank GOD Jenni doesn't have cluid. Messy business. LOL!
Seriously, glad she passed her physical for surgery and that the tissue is soft and not invading the jawbone. I'm sure she'll be fine...she'll no doubt have and IV in place and will be carefully monitored and home before you know it!

Sharon, so sorry to hear that Hairy has gone to the Rainbow Bridge.

Glad you had a great weekend Lolly! And glad at least ONE of Laurel's eyes is better....

Kid Rock....not sure if he is there still or not. Today I have no bloody urine, no discomfort, no pain whatsoever. I have not caught it in the strainer but I also don't catch every single urination, either. I mean, I don't carry my strainer with me...LOL! I certainly hope the Dr intends to do a scan prior to the procedure! Three CT scans in 7 weeks is a lot of radiation but general anesthesia is risky as well.

Besides, I'm BORED with all of this. Time to move on to the next great medical debacle. LOL!

Judie said...

OMG! Cluid build up? Well just shut the front door! Hope the vet is current on cluid treatment as that is a highly specialized area of veterinary medicine.

Seriously, Sandi, the news seems to be far more positive than you anticipated so puppy prayers and good wishes for Wednesday's surgery. We're with you.

Nice you had a good trip, Lolly. Hope Laurel's eyes heal completely. Both of them.

Good grief, Shirley. Nothing so annoying as waiting on a pork roast to cook. lol Wishing you an enjoyable dinner.

Lynne2, can a kidney stone pass without any real discomfort? I always thought that would be really painful BUT I hope Kid Rock has moved on to the place where things go to never be seen or heard from again.

Headed for my recliner and my book.

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening.

Lynne2 said...

Judie, yes it can. The pain and discomfort come from it being in a place that's too small for it when it tries to move.

Yes, I was right before about Momster Prayers! The TX fire has not grown in size at all and is contained much more, so shouldn't be any more spread or damage! Thank ALL of You and of course the Lord Above!

Been planning to put a couple pictures in the Nook since I haven't had a chance to study facebook. Just read back to one of my post a couple days ago about trying to take nest pic at Park last Tuesday and not seeing much. Just wait and see the reason why!!!!!
Will try to post pics before midnight and I turn into a pumpkin!

Foraging is on the agenda today.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Mema Jo said...

Good 42° cold morning to all ♥ It is clear so perhaps the sun will warm us up later.
I think I need a second cup of coffee.

The nest, to me, looks as though our Royal Couple has down sized their living quarters..
All I can think of is how a 3 egg clutch is going to be snuggled in there. We shall see

Thinking of Sharon and Thelma this morning and how they must be missing Hairy.

Lynne2 - I would think that the dr would be sure that Kid Rock was still there before
blasting. I for one hope he has just slipped out unnoticed!

Loretta - you are a night owl. One of these evenings I'll still be up to chat when you come in. Going to look at The Nook later. So very thankful that Sherry & Hubby are safe from any fire.

Sandy - I hope you hear something concerning the results of Sam's episode with the police. Sorry if you have already said something and I missed it.

Kay said...

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

Checking in before Doggy Play Day begins--a beautiful day for it!

SHAR, thinking of you & Thelma as you mourn the loss of Hairy and imagining his joyful reunion with Scooby.

SANDY, Whew! Big sigh of relief for Jenni. Will pray for successful surgery tomorrow.

JUDIE, Hurray! Great cardio report and fantastic to be off the beta-blocker.

LOLLY, What? Joseph already 15. Time flies! Hope Laurel's new med works on those blurry eyes!

LYNNE2, there is such a wide variety of those stone formations---my sister had about four bouts with the buggers. The worst was a little ball with spikes like a mace. You can imagine the kind of pain it caused when it went on the move--had to be surgically removed. It was so unique the doc was showing it to "everyone" around the hospital.

LORETTA, Hallelujah! Another big sigh of relief and thanks to God for His part in quelling the Texas fire that threatened Sherry's home once more. Great pics on The Nook!

JUDIE, wishing you and all Momster's the "best day possible", too!

Prayers for all in need!!!

Judie said...

Almost ready to venture out...

Loretta, nice pictures! If I see correctly, the nest has come down? If so, sure hope a new one can be built for this season. Very, very good news about the TX fire being contained. So glad for Sherry.

Jo, when I look at the nest, I see lots of big sticks placed around the edges of the nest as if being readied to become the crib rails. Also looks as if some sticks have already been put in place. Let construction begin.

Sandi, what happened with Sam?

I also hope there is a way to check to see if Kid Rock is actually still hangin' out before the blasting begins.

Kay, have a fun day with Penny and Malcolm.

Off to forage...

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Thanks everybody for your kind words and thoughts. This is definitely a painful process and one that I am getting tired of. We left Bedford with Mopsy, Buddy, Scooby, Buphals and Hairy. Of those, only Buphals is left. We do have Tytun, Lyttle Byt, Lilyun and Grayce now but I so miss the others.

Good afternoon everyone. sharon Did a very quick read. So sorry for the loss of Hairy. I absolutely hate that part of sharing life an dour hearts with our furry ones. Our lives would be so much poorer though without them , so we carry on and choose to love again and again.

News on Becky's surgery. It is scheduled for Dec 17. Patches and I will fly to AZ on Sunday the 13th. This is going to be a bit stressful in many ways, but we'll get this done.

Zoey is actually feeling pretty good, in fact very good compared to last week at this time. I think she had a little flare up that was caught very early. I hope I am right. I will know more when the prednisone is gone. She is eating very well.

My plate is so full now with several important projects to do over the next few weeks.

TV is coming to interview me about my Polar Bear trip That should be fun and funny and means I need to get this living room looking far better. Early Christmas plans for local friends etc. I plan to send my clothes and Patches items along with their Christmas ahead of time out to AZ. I don't want to deal with anything at the airport but me and Patches.

The new animal hospital is almost finished. I have done all of the photography from aquare one for that and will bemaking a DVD for the vet on the whole project. I am sure I will also do their Christmas card photos most likely in the new building and need to get that done by Mid November.

Disability Assistance Dogs has 3 dogs with handler that need portraits done .

As mush as I always love the Santa photos or the shelter I may ask someone else to do those this year as the party is the Friday before Patches and I fly. I just don't see myself able to get it all done on just that Sat. OK so that is my catch up.

Prayers for all. How very often do I pray for those especially on this Blog. I tell my eagle friends from so many different places and squabble like kids that "There is a special 'group' of folks" who love a nest in WV. We don't squabble. We love and support each other not just through each eagle season but through all the seasons of life. I too love us.

Sandi said...

Found out when I got home that our fence is being installed tomorrow instead of on Thursday. Since Sam won't be in school anyway, I am taking tomorrow off - just because. I had already put in for Thursday off so I could be home with Jenni her first day post-surgery, but Sam won't be in school that day either. So this has turned into a 2-day work week.

Loretta, I looked at your photos - sad news that the nest at the park was destroyed but at least it didn't happen during nesting season.

Judie said...

Good late afternoon or early evening - your choice.

Glo, while you have lots on your plate (platter), it seems you have everything under control as you tackle your photography projects and your visit with Becky. I suspect Patches is going to help Becky recover in record time.

Sandi, so sad. I know how much you are going to miss being in school tomorrow and Thursday. Hope you have a plentiful supply of tissues to dry those tears. (: Hope the fence goes in without a problem and that Jenni's surgery and recovery will be easy on her.
