This must be Wacky Wed for me to get the feather~~

Thank you Steve for this fresh new
thread. Have a good work day!

I will go get the morning crew over
here

Good morning, Jo. Congratulations on yet another feather for your beauteous bonnet.

Thank you Steve. Enjoy the day.

Lunch delivery. An eaglet is showing interest by poking.

Quiet and overcast here. Saving the morning paper for the "do" time later.

Wonder how Shirley is doing with the phone issue?

Good morning,

Well, no cleaning lady. Do not know if she tried to call and decided not to come because she could not reach me. But my house is tidier than it was a couple of hours ago, and that is a good thing.

Having waited 30 minutes for her arrival, I think I will soon depart to the cell phone store. I really wanted to do that anyway.

Oh, Sandi, yes, we do depend on those phones. I spent a couple of hours last night just trying to get Val's number. Long story, but I was unsuccessful in reaching her. I will need to make a list of all of those phone numbers when I get hold of them.

stronghunter said...

I do have a book with lots of phone numbers in it, but recently I have been just putting numbers in my phone.

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

A big thank you, STEVE! The new thread is mighty nice! Enjoy the feather, JO--yeah for Wacky Wed!

JUDIE, zippidy DO dah, zippidy yeah! Hope your new "do" makes you feel as good as mine did me yesterday. Something convoluted about that last sentence, but you get my drift.

SHIRLEY, I'm sure having a bum cell phone is like having a chunk of brain missing! Hope your trip to the phone store takes care of that pronto. I imagine that bowler who apologized feels tons lighter---imagine how many times she must have agonized over that incident during the past year.

My mission today is dog walking, a bit of household hoopla and a trip to the pharmacy. Oh, and watching our wonderful Eagle Family as much as possible!

JO, prayers continue in hopes that the meds work and that next weeks PET scan shows a positive outlook!

I need to pore back over Tuesday posts more thoroughly, but meantime.....

Prayers for all in need!!!

Lucky the Cat may be 100 years old, but he is pretty good at escaping. Last time the cleaning lady was here, I put Lucky in Kathryn's room and closed the door. Pretty soon, he was right back downstairs. This time, I put the baby fence at the top of the stairs. There have been many meows. Eventually, he came downstairs and scolded me with a few more meows. I know he can't jump over the fence anymore. Anyway, he is comfortably resting on his bed--the dog bed he stole from Luna. Cats rule.

stronghunter said...

I do know I was scolded because Lucky came over, looked up at me, meowed several times and then went right to his bed.

stronghunter said...

Now to take care of that phone.

And then I will need to concentrate on getting the birth certificate taken care of. Val, my efficient friend, is getting antsy.

Thanks for the new fresh thread Steve.

Eaglets are splayed out in the nest with those big feeties showing :)

I got so excited finding the new thread that I forgot my manners...

Good Morning to all ♥

Guess who gets her "DO" done Thurs
I love all my curls and how thick my hair has grown in But I really plan to keep it short.

Shirley, I hope there isn't any big expense replacing your cell phone. I keep a list of phone #'s as I can't believe how many numbers I don't remember due to speed dialing.

gm everyone. Got an estimate for some fencing to help secure Patches in her back yard this morning. It has been an expensive doggy month but since she is an escape artist; it is definitely time for her to have a safe secure place to enjoy her freedom both inside and outside. Her yard will be half the size of Dex and Daph, but then she too is half the size :-) Hope you all have a good day.

After many adventures, I have been informed that I will receive a new phone in the mail tomorrow. So far, they have not told me to send any money, but I thought I would have to pay a deductible. I will wait and see. I do think I have listened to every commercial message ATT has available.

stronghunter said...

While I am on a roll, I need to proceed to getting the passport stuff done.

paula eagleholic said...

Way to go Shirley, hope they get everything transferred OK for you

paula eagleholic said...

Aw Shep just returned with flowers...looks like it could be a honeysuckle type branch :)

paula eagleholic said...

Or perhaps Bradford pear or something of that nature. Now he just took off and we had a cam clunk...must be up in the attic. Eaglets watched him go up there as well

Lolly said...

Good morning! So now Shep is bringing flowers. Uh, oh, what did he do to be needing to bring flowers?

See two babes alone in the nest?

Mouse number two was caught. This is not promising. Hope there is no more! Yuck!

Think today is going to be spent in the yard. Surprise, surprise! We have sunshine and then rain (hopefully) returns.

Ahhh, cell phones. Can not live without them. Remember the first one we bought. It was for Laurel. She was away at college. She was not to use it except for emergency while traveling to school or home. She had a four hour drive when coming home. Then I got a phone. They came to our school, selling them to teachers. Now cannot live without it!

Gotta get busy! Have a great day!

On lunch and find a new thread

THANKS STEVE

Thanks for the new thread Steve.

My husband got me a cell phone because he was tired of getting a busy signal when he called and I was on the computer. Remember dial up? Now I am weaning myself not to carry one in my pocket all the time. Too many years of caring for sick husband or Mom and wanting to be always available. Now I don't panic if I forget to bring it when I go on short errands. I have On Star in car if necessary. My how our lives have changed in the last 20 years. We couldn't imagine watching an eagle's nest.

stronghunter said...

Wondering when that fierce cat of yours will catch a mouse, Lolly.

good wild and wacky Wednesday afternoon to all. the Universe has decided to "prank" someone else today. Must have...my day has been much more calm!

Thanks STEVE for a nice new thread. Can we call it the big yellow feetsies thread????? too cute!

Dinner last night, although LATE, was nice. Mia wanted red lobster and that's what we had. I indulged in one of those seafood bowls, you know has crab legs, scallops and shrimp,a piece of corn and some itty bitty taters.

lowest carb thing I could find. I knew if I ordered pasta I was done for!

I've been reducing my carbs over the last month and have dropped about 4 lbs now. it feels great. I had to do something.

mind you, not NO carb, but LOW carb. so far so good and I don't feel deprived.

I loved weight watchers some years ago; very effective BUT I always felt deprived. Tom would eat a steak (in my head) as big as his plate and I had the wee little bitty steak...the size of (in my head) a quarter. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

not a happy janet. so I went back to watching carbs, increasing water and slowly its coming off. I hope to have dropped 10 lb by the end of may. that's the first goal. so 6 more to go.

STRONGHUNTER: so glad the phone situation is working out. yes, I agree, we depend on them so very much that being without one is like missing half a brain! I have my information backed up on my Google account which helps...still loose some things but not every single thing!!!

LOLLY: Mouse #2. ewwwwwwwwwwwwww
hopefully that 's it. no friends! no family.

feeling tired this afternoon. after not getting home til past nine last night.....I just drank some coffee and have taken the afternoon off. livvy is done with her work. I will check it in a bit. tomorrow is another day!

love and hugs to all! :)

JudyEddy said...

I was thinking the same thing especially if there is more that one person doing it
at work we were laughing about me getting a hotel just for the day hours By the hours LOL I only would need it to about 5 not over night They all told me there is a place I could go where they take their JOHNS to LOL I think not I may just go to the park, or Angie even if it is bad Hang out watching the eagles in the one parking lot don't think they would like that at the business I go at nite and they are closed and they have cameras so I know that they know I go there LOL so far no one has said anything

Or I could go to Walker Ford and hang there with the eagle nest there

we will see tomorrow

JudyEddy said...

I am so impressed with the money that they are getting I wonder if STEVE has seen the total yet

I hope I can give more than the 100.00 I already did will see after I get the bill for roof I did have to get lots of plywood replaced because of the hole in the roof That my neighbor put there and didn't tell me They roofer said it was definitely from that one branch coming down at th angle the cut is He said I should just mention it to them that is what the roofer said
I don't want any issues with neighbors so I am not saying anything to him

Hi all. Thanks Steve for a new thread and Jo for the call over.

Thought today would be a normal day at school - shame on me. Had to have another meeting with the parents who mentioned "calling their lawyer" at yesterday morning's meeting. Meeting was after school, at their convenience.

Someone in the district must have been doing a lot of ass kissing since 9am yesterday morning b/c the parents didn't mention attorneys once today. We put some additional supports in place including moving the student to the other 8th grade team for the rest of this school year b/c the discipline problems have all involved one other student on our team. The other student happens to be the young man whose mother works for the district and actually said, "It's not a crime to be a racist," and the young man whose parents we met with yesterday and again today is black.

On the one hand, I will be sorry to see this young man move to the other team b/c I like him. On the other hand, it's one less IEP that I have to update at the end of the year.

Internal transfers opened up today so I have officially requested to be transferred to a para position for next year. Another step closer to my new job!!

Headed to the grocery store - probably won't get back on the blog tonight so I will see everyone in the early AM.

Hi, Everyone,

Have been working on transcription today.

We have an egret family nesting in one of our big Ficus trees this year! No night herons, interestingly enough. Maybe they are intimidated by the egrets--they are much taller birds.

No further word yet about the Egyptian Goose with the arrow through its neck. Hope it's doing well.

Lolly--another mouse?! Hope that's the last of them!

Shirley, won't you be glad to have a cell phone again? We tend to get so dependent on them for so many things. Hope they can retrieve your info and put it in the new phone. Do you back up your phone to iCloud? I try to do that with mine every couple of days.

Judy, hope your roof is fixed soon. We just had ours repaired in a couple of places, and it should be good for a few more years. Nothing leaked when it rained a week ago.

Need to get going--dinner will soon be ready. May not get back here tonight, so will say goodnight and God bless. I ♥ us!!
