Good afternoon.

Thank you Steve for the fresh Monday thread. Hope you had a nice weekend.

Eaglets are looking bigger by the minute.

NCSuzan, I miss the Cheetah babies. Wish they had been able to put a camera in their "growing up" enclosure.

Sunshine finally arrived along with humidity.

Yard work injured my right wrist. Right-handed. Right difficult to type.

HI JUDIE! (waving)
Hi everyone. Its Monday again.

Rain has finally let up. Supposed to be sunny and 70 tomorrow....we shall see. It has precipitated for a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If April showers bring Mayflowers, we'll soon be overrun by Pilgrims...

(bad corny joke)

Been a busy morning. Livvy's allergy shots done....package mailed and now heading off for my massage. Looking forward to it!

Not a lot going on. Tom has a cold....i'm trying NOT to catch it.

Two years ago today was the sale of mom and dad's house. the only regrets I have: 1. I didn't push the issue sooner. I do regret that the whole thing caused a huge rift.....but it is what it is.

Made an apt to have Dax neutered on Friday.

Another rockin' busy week ahead.

Light love and healing for all in need. Have a super day!

Good afternoon my eagle budlets.

Watching our babes plotzed at the 9 o'clock position. They are getting quite lanky!

I just had my first rose-breasted grosbeak of the season. I love all my birds coming back. The neighbor's cat, however, is lurking in the woods. Hopefully it will stay in the woods and not use my bird feeders as a bait box. That is why Lilyun gets to hunt from behind the window glass, kind of window-shopping, if you will.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

And Sandi's box is checked. :)

Judie said...

I like sharing, Janet. Hope you remain cold-free.

Back to resting my wrist.

stronghunter said...

Hi,

Tornado watch here.

Hunter and I stopped by the library after I picked him up at school--just long enough for me to drop a couple of books in the return box.

That was long enough for rain clouds to gather and we passed through a couple of showers on the short trip back to the house. When we got here, the weather alarm was screaming.

Baseball practice tonight. Hoping weather will settle down.

Judie said...

Big storm predicted.

Shirley and I are in a tornado watch. Quick look at the nest then going to turn the computer off. Sky has become quite dark. Not sure but Loretta's area might also be stormy.

stronghunter said...

Did a quick check of the nest. Looks like all is well there.

stronghunter said...

Hi Judie. Take care.

Same to anyone else in the storm zone.

stronghunter said...

Our weather queen, Lynne2, is also in a tornado watch area.

glo said...

Well isn't there something about "splitting hairs" I think splitting feathers would be easier. It is cloudy windy and cold here today. Ran a few errands and just loving on Patches whose eyes even seem a little perkier today.

paula eagleholic said...

Kids are all stretched out. Parent still in the nest.

Sandi said...

Hi again from home where I have more time to chat.

Got an email from the director of personnel this afternoon that said, "I have talked with Jason Macrides, and I think that we will be able to accommodate you as a para for the 15-16 school year. I will have a more definite answer by the beginning of May." Jason is my principal. I am sooooo excited about this news, even though it's not 100% definite yet!

The next 4 weeks will be super busy for me - 4 IEPs to write by 5/18, state testing to administer for the entire month of May, transition to high school meetings to schedule for each student on my caseload, files to get in order to be sent on to the high school, and planning the 8th grade recognition and a field trip to Wallops Island and Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge.

In addition, I am the treasurer for the property owners association and it's membership time, so I will be processing about 700 applications and checks for that. And I am the membership chair for the tennis club I belong to and it's membership time there as well, so I will be processing another 85 applications and checks.

Shar, good to hear that you are feeling great - I guess you mean the hip and your iron levels?

Glo, good news on Patches - if love could heal, that pup would be at 110% already!

Judy, did the roof get finished?

Need to feed pets and then people. Stay safe if you're in the path of the storms.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Sandi, yes indeedy - the hip and the iron levels!! So grateful!

grannyblt said...

Evening all. Our babes are at the 11 o'clock position, snoozing away. They sure seem to like that part of the nest.

On an off rain here today. I did manage to avoid the raindrops when I returned part of my Bose CD player. I had had less than a year and it malfunctioned. They took it back and gave me a new one without question. There is a Bose store in the outlet mall that is 5 miles away. I would have hated to have had to mail it back. The new component plays beautifully. Getting things done before my trip to see grands next month. The "T" in grannyblt is graduating May 13 and I want to be there. She hasn't committed to a college for next year yet. Probably somewhere in the NW or Hawaii due to parents pending move. Some colleges have an agreement that Alaskan students don't have to pay full out of state rates, so they may take advantage of that option for next year.

Love red breasted grosbeaks, but haven't seen any yet this year. On Saturday I was birding at Presque Isle on Lake Erie and saw some migrants, the highlight was a large group (about 200) ruddy ducks. The male of that species has a bright blue bill during the breeding season. We only saw a few blue bills, but they were pretty far away.

Hope everyone had SED.

Good Evening Eagle Buds. Just checking the nest and the one chick in the well was nestorating, then turned and tried to pull on adult's tail that was just above it (almost out of sight). Then it turned around and looked as if grabbing some of dinner adult was working with!

My buddy, Doris, at the Park said she's pretty sure she saw TWO eaglets jumping around in nest!
Hope I will be able to view something tomorrow.

The one kitten that has the itchy neck rash has not been caught yet for meds! Supposed to get Amox and Neosporin 2 times a day. Vet said they had no trouble handling her. Well, she was in a cage! Duh
It's very depressing. I've devised a scheme of throwing a towel over her, stuffing her in carrier, take that in shower stall, unzip case just a little and do meds! Haven't been able to try it yet, as she was in neighbor's grass. Maybe if there's rain, they'll go in garage!
Have a good, safe evening ☺

hey all. evening again. back to work tomorrow.

JUDYE: love the roof!
For all those in tornado watches, stay alert and stay safe. We were alerted to a severe tstorm just past midnight last night, but I don't even remember any thunder! that's my kind of storm. it can get pretty nasty in this region sometimes.

SANDI: things sound promising!

It seems that the rain may have moved out. Sun and 70 tomorrow, supposedly.

Its been a busy day. Glad its almost time to dent the pillows!

Sweet Big Eagle feet dreams to all!

Sandi said...

Goodorming my eagle friends.

No severe weather here last night - supposedly clearing up and drying up today.

Jo, prayers continue for you - tomorrow is your PET scan, correct? Will you talk to the doctor for results the same day?

Hoping to get a few minutes to watch our eaglets today - haven't seen much of them lately.

Have agreat day all.

JudyEddy said...

Good Morning Eagle buds

Babes are sleeping in the middle of the nest would say cup but I don't think they fit there anylonger

Judie said...

Good morning.

Seriously fierce weather here last night. Someone threw a whole lot of ice cubes at our house. lol We were lucky not to lose power. Hope all others in the storm path are doing fine.

Eaglets are sunning this morning. Loch of the Lowes has a third egg. Berry Babes are branching. Ah Springtime.

Sandi, seems as if your plan is going to work out for you. Very happy.

JudyE, glad you like the new roof.

Glo, hope Patches continues to recover.

Janet, hope you got some sleep and Tom feels better.

Wrist is not improving. May call orthopedic doc to see if he has a few minutes.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day.

Kay said...

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

JUDIE, good plan, call that doc!

LOL, JUDY, I'm afraid Penny would never sit still for nail art. It takes 3 to do the mani-pedi--vet clipping, asst. holding her tight to the chest and me plying her with a p-nut butter laden tongue depressor. How can one small dog be so strong?

I have to barrel into some household chores today. Eileen will arrive Thursday afternoon for a four day visit. Yeah! Her Bill left MI for FL today--visiting kids in Sebring. It's always fun when he comes along with her, but awfully nice to have her all to ourselves now and then!

Wishing all a beautiful day and praying for those in need!

Good morning everyone. Patches seems to feel really good now. Got about 2 weeks to go but only 4 days of meds left. My guess is vet will wait to see if runs return once meds are finished and if the do she will give her enough to control that through the ond of the 30 days Nexguard will be in her system. I am reading all about natural alrernatives. BUT I am thinking unless I see a flea on her I will do nothing. If I see them then I will try something natural. I am scared for her liver now. so hmmm "just thinking outloud"

Kay - I am excited for you and Eileen's visit. It will be girl time.

Glo - Patches' pic over on FB is too cute. She certainly is a sweetheart and I really hope she is feeling perky soon again.

Going to do a couple of errands, also.

Judie - good luck and hoping for no breaks or fractures. Just the results of deep digging in those flower beds

Paula - I was wondering about the weather down your way yesterday.

Hoping Stronghunter Shirley is at the bowling alley and didn't get blown away last evening....

Good morning! We got our caladium bulbs planted yesterday without getting exhausted. The cooler weather saved us! It was 53 this morning! This is so unusual for us and loving it! We order 300 bulbs, give 30 to Laurel and then we have a big job. Will really enjoy them in about a month or so!

Jack is smoking today...smoking brats and ribs!😜. Looking forward to dinner tonight.

Just saw our two alone in the nest.

Sandi, so happy for you that things are working out at school. Just think of the excitement this time next year!!

STAR testing going on this week. Laurel will be so happy when they are through with this week!

Lolly said...

Got a call from my doctor's office. Getting ready to schedule a MRI on my shoulder. Hoping it is just something that can be fixed with therapy, though not looking forward to that either.

Mema Jo said...

Oh Lolly at a certain age you just have to do what you have to do to take care of yourself. I hope you get a good result from the MRI.

Mema Jo said...

Just checked out the nest - our 2 eaglets really do like the 9:00 position. And they like to be side by side.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Jo, this morning when I brought up the nest, I could only see one and my heart fell. It feels like it takes forever to survey the nest to see where the other one is. Probably like 2 seconds, but feels like 10 minutes. :)

I love how they just plotz out, doesn't matter if the other one is in the way or not.

Good late afternoon to all.

Need to read back slowly but later.

Two eaglets enjoying the late afternoon sunshine. So adorable.

Okay, no breaks or hairline fracture. Just did way too much and with the arthritis, my wrist is not happy. However, I did as told and purchased a splint used by those with carpel tunnel. Will see orthopedic guy on Friday morning. Just really painful.

Returned a library book.

Wonder if Lolly has shoulder impingement? As the bone guy told me, it happens with the older folks or those who are into sports (swimming, tennis, etc.).

Headed to the scullery to see what I can accomplish.

Will read back later.

Oh, the bear cubs are addictive. Play fighting when I last looked. Thanks Jo.

Guess I will find out about my shoulder next Tues. MRI is scheduled for Tues morn. I am not really having a lot of pain and really not a lot of restricted movement. However at times, severe pain that lasts only moments and sometimes just a dull ache. Fixing my hair is not fun. Just need to find out why and do not want it to get worse.

Lovely day working in the yard! Going to have a great dinner on the patio.

Thinking of Jo and her Pet Scan tomorrow. Prayers, Jo. We will have your back.

Oh, Judie, I see you did something to your wrist. Seems like all kinds of things happened while I wasn't here. Hoping for a speedy recovery.

Also, Lolly. Hoping for a speedy recovery for you as well. Goodness, what happens when I am away?

Glad you did not have tornado damage Judy.

There were some small ice cubes thrown at our house, too, Judie. But we did not suffer any damage. Just a bunch of rain and a little hail. After one particularly loud thunder clap, Hunter came downstairs and announced that he wanted to go outside and watch the storm, so he and Kathryn went out on the front porch for a bit. They didn't stay out there very long. It was wet and cold. I was just as happy they came back in.

I found a sore spot on my shoulder. It looks like a burn, but I do not remember doing anything to it. Odd.

Good Morning Eagle Buds

Judie said...

Good morning.

I have forwarded through the eagle momster email an email sent to us by a neighbor. Many, if not most of you, may already be aware of the scam but just thought I would send this along.

I see Shirley was located and very happy to know she was just out having a fun life.

Thinking of Jo this morning. I believe the scan will be spot on and there will be no spot.

Headed to get some chores done. Laundry is calling. Have to straighten up before the house cleaner arrives. Was up at 4am so already need a nap.

Have a wonderful day.

Judie said...

Seems the email message did not forward. My apology.

Basically, it is similar to the IRS scam but in this case, the caller has lots of information, including your credit card number. Then asks you to verify the 3 digit security number. Now the caller has everything he/she needs.

Good Morning from rainy Ohio, Eagle Buds!!!

Prayerful this morning as I think of JO. Telescoping positive thoughts.

JUDIE, so glad you've no broken bones. Hope the brace, meds and babying of the wrist do the trick and quickly!

SANDI, your avatar is so sweet--what a little beauty Freyja is!

SHIRLEY, glad you wound up Tues. posts with happy news of good times! Hope your shoulder pain subsides. Pinched nerve? Bowling injury? These things are often a mystery and I hate to tell you, but they happen more and more frequently as we age!

JUDIE, you sure do have a lot of laundry--you and Darth are either very clean or very dirty!☺

SHAR, so happy in reading back and finding that you're feeling so well at last! Prayer works!

Time to put some finishing touches on the house pre-Eileen's visit. Will be lurking nestside and watching for word from JO--though I don't expect results will be revealed immediately.

Prayers for all in need!!!
