Interesting drama at the bowling alley this afternoon . . .

A very cute little girl about three and a very cute little boy about five.

I watched her lie on the floor and cheer her ball onward. It was rolling so slowly that I thought it might not get to the end of the lane.

Later on, I watched her with the little boy. She ran into him and pushed him. Then she did it again. This time, she bounced off him and fell down. Just at that moment, the mother turned around and yelled at the boy for pushing the girl down.

Maybe I saw wrong, but that's what I saw. Really looked like she's used to getting away with it. Hmm.

TOUCHDOWN REDSKINS!!!!!!

stronghunter said...

Redskins are ahead: 17-14.

stronghunter said...

Miss having our Lynn tell us about the games.

Hoda said...

That is exactly what I thought when all the American football reports started to show up!
She certainly kept me informed and gave me an image beyond number results.
Miss you LYNN! Still do not really understand American Football.

stronghunter said...

Another touchdown for Washington!!

stronghunter said...

Lynn kept so many things going.

stronghunter said...

Lots of things I don't understand about American football, too, Hoda.

One of my new shows Once Upon A Time is on tonight Let the season begin

JudyEddy said...

I don't watch FB because I don't understand it LOL

stronghunter said...

Redskins are ahead by 10. Almost time to think about celebrating. Not yet, though.

stronghunter said...

Game is over. Let the celebration begin!

stronghunter said...

Dallas just lost. Interesting.

NatureNut said...

YAAAAAAAA, Redskins!!!!

stronghunter said...

Of course, they are already talking about when Washington plays Dallas.

Those Skins have been waiting too late to make all their points!
Nerve Racking to me but YEAH ♥

Traffic was closed down westward on the bay bridge earlier. Aaron and Val had just reached the bridge and were sitting in traffic - they called hubby for an alternate route -
The traffic did start to move before
Hubby found them a detour.
Construction materials caught fire
under the bridge - lots of smoke - fire truck saved the day!
They should be home soon! This trip has been monumental for them with the car mishap when they arrived and now this......... ♥

Mema Jo said...

Shirley - there have been times sitting in Mass behind a family and I can see what is going on and I hate seeing the wrong child being blamed by the parents. I so want to call to their attention that the wrong child was just scolded!

Bear Video

Believe this video was made in Canada.

Hoda said...

YEAH!
MISS YOU LYNN
Your team won!

paula eagleholic said...

And YAY SKINS :-)

stronghunter said...

Yes, Jo. I wanted to say something, but did not. You do wonder if this happens often. Little girl was so cute, but I expect she is milking it for all it is worth.

paula eagleholic said...

Oh Jo what a trip for them!

stronghunter said...

Saw that story about the bridge, Jo. There was a FB post from my across-the-street neighbor awhile ago. She was trying to get home from Baltimore. Wonder if she got caught in that mess.

Hoda said...

Glad the children are on their way home JO

Agree with you SHIRLEY and JO. I observe and do not walk up to parents in such situations.

Yes I do believe the Bear Video is from Canada, even BC SHIRLEY.

Gone back to eating Mana bread.
Delicious

Mema Jo said...

Correction
Bridge traffic is still stopped!

stronghunter said...

I think I would have fainted if a bear got that close to me. That bear surely did get up that tree in a hurry.

paula eagleholic said...

Good luck with the schedule Judy.

Cannot get cable TV here Hoda. Have to do satellite TV and I haven't moved my service here yet. Until then I only get 7 channels over the air.

Dinnertime! Hot chicken and gravy over bread...yum

Glad the Skins won and everyone seems to have had a great day!

Kay, glad you got to spend some time with Seth & do you old usual weekend thing.

Camping was fine and practicing skills with Cynthia went well. Everyone is home now...back to school tomorrow and my first day at the long term care facility is supposed to be Tuesday....first day in the uniform!

Janet, bless you for your words of wisdom. I admire your strength and kindness. Thank you! I will try to make my words and actions my reality...I can do this.

Paula, enjoy The Good Wife....dang, it's on past my bedtime now. Enjoy it!

Goodnight all. See you in the morning. SED

stronghunter said...

Just checked. The driveway across the street is still empty. I guess Jennifer is out there on the highway somewhere.

stronghunter said...

But I think Jennifer was coming back from Baltimore, so the bridge fire shouldn't be a problem for her. I was confused about what bridge it was.

stronghunter said...

Enjoy your first uniformed day, Lori.

Exciting football games today. So glad the Skins won. I live in a house divided. two thirds are Steeler fans and one third is a Skins fan!

Sandi, I am happy you are trying f.lux. Hope you have similar results that I have.

Hi all! First off I will just say I am just sick about the shooting of June. Yes, the hunters do not care. Those collars are clearly visible. This just make me furious. I used to read all the updates, watched the cams, but I have been backing off. It is just too upsetting!!

Wish you all could have seen us tonight. We had a birthday party to go to. One of Jack's friends at work, both retired, but still see each other frequently eating lunch out. Well, he turned 60 but is dating a girl I would say is about 45 and she owns and runs a dance studio. The party was there. We did not know anyone but Dave. It was an October Fest party, with German beer and German food. Julie, his girlfriend, had us all up on the dance floor and taught us how to Polka!!! Yes, Jack and I were doing the polka!!!! Well, let's just say she was attempting to teach us to Polka. lol It was fun! But, Jack and I do NOT dance. I used to dance but then married a non dancer 48 years ago and 48 years on non dancing makes you a non dancer!!

stronghunter said...

I don't dance either, Lolly. I did take some lessons many years ago, but that was so far in the past.

stronghunter said...

The polka would be pretty lively for non-dancers, I should think.

stronghunter said...

Very sleepy here.

Going to get ready for sleep now.

I think things are locked up downstairs. I went down awhile ago and locked the doors, walked into the kitchen, then heard a commotion at the front door.

Kathryn was trying to get in with packages and Hunter's football stuff. She was not very happy.

Then it turns out that the light in Hunter's room was burned out, and I am told there are no light bulbs in the house. So I gave Hunter one of my lamps for the evening.

I am just going to hang out in my room for now.

Good evening to all!
Coming down from a massive emotional high!!!!!!!!!! We went to the Tuatha Dea concert over at Universalist Unitarian Church in Nashville. Tuathea Dea is just wonderful. It is the first concert they have ever played in Nashville; they are from the Gatlinburg Area. They remembered us!!!!!! :D :D :D Insert big cheesy grin here~! I bought 2 t shirts (one for me, one for LIvvy) and Tom bought me another djembe (a mini one) and I had them to autograph the drum for me!!!!! I am sooooooo stinking over the moon excited! Can you tell! I was so excited, I wore a hip sash (bellydancing) into bowling because I forgot I even had it on! I was wearing my new shirt (I changed in the car!) and brought my djembe in too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The rest of the weekend has been busy….dinner last night was great. We had about 25 over at the local bbq place to celebrate Tom’s bday (which is tomorrow).
This morning I slept in, made bacon and pancakes for breakfast and then the concert. I am soooooooo over the moon happy right now.
We lost all 3 games at bowling, but that’s nothing new. We had a massive amount of fun.
LORI: this is the thing, everyone can help themselves by using their mind … you’ve heard the phrase put your mind to it. That’s what you do. I know you can. YOU have to know you can!

LOLLY: so glad your arm is feeling better!
Glad everyone seems to have had a pretty good day! I need to hit the bed. I will certainly have great musical dreams tonight.!

Light, love hugs and smiles to all!

Good Monday morning everyone!

LOLLY, you're no longer a non dancer if you were polka-ing over the weekend! Yeeeha! Sounds like you guys had a great time. Glad your arm is better.

Hope everyone who was stuck in the bridge mess last night is safe and at home this morning.

JANET, could even tell from your writing that indeed you were over the moon last night! Glad you had such a great time and got your drum autographed, too!

KAY, did you get your rain? Kate was saying they need rain too in MD. Are you still beaming from your weekend with Seth? Big Hugs from Pennsylvania!

JO and all the bear watchers, I'm so sorry to hear about June. It certainly does sound like the research bears are being targeted, when they have no choice in any of this. Totally sad and wrong!

MARGY, how was your time with James the Wise? Get all your water bottles filled?

Back to work and school today for some of us who aren't retired. Well, MARGY, still has a day off.

JUDYE, have a nice day at work. May it be a calm one. Hope you get your schedule change that you want.

Time for me to hit the books and get organized before I head out to school today. Today's test has been postponed because we didn't finish the lecture on Friday! Finally, a no test day!

Love, love, love you ALL!

Hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Hoda said...

Good morning gLORI.
I liked that when I first came to the blog.
MARGIE AND KAY used to say that all the time.

Have yet to sleep.

Lots if rain here.
Vancouver is being pelted by a storm too.

Enjoy your no test day.

Good Monday morning Lori, Hoda, and all my eagle friends!

Hoda, why are you still awake???

Lori, enjoy your no test day!!

Janet, excellent advice for Lori! Sure could tell you had a great day yesterday!!

State testing for me for the next 4 days.

Got my winter clothes spread out on the bed in the spare room yesterday, then read the weather forecast for this week - 70s and up to 80 maybe. So, it looks like the winter clothes will stay on the bed and the summer ones will stay in the closet for another week - OK by me!

Talked to Brian last night - he leaves the US tomorrow afternoon.

Have a great day all!

GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDS

Good morning,

Is that fog? I thought maybe the cam got moved and is pointing at the sky rather than the tree. Blue, but not the blue of a broken cam.

Good Morning, Eagle Pals.....

with NCTC being along the Potomac,
it might be getting the mist rising off the water....
