Have been sitting here reading all of the posts for today.
Not sure if Belle is still in the tree or not. My picture is quite blurry. I could not tell it was a tree if I did not already know.
Margy, how wonderful that you're going to Germany. Enjoy yourself. Someday I must get my passport. It's something I have never done.
Paula, I hear you and I know what you are going through. So very hard to be caught in a three-generation mess with marriage problems on top of it all. Even when they do not act like they are listening to you, I think you influence them. At least that is what I tell myself.
I am feeling sad this evening. I went to see Pat, hoping that she would be as well as she was yesterday, but afraid she would have relapsed.
She was conscious, but definitely not lucid. I am not sure if she recognized me, and we have known each other for 30 years. At this point, they do not really know if she had a stroke. She is losing blood and was getting a transfusion.
Her son was with her and very frustrated with the hospital, but he feels she is too weak to be moved. There are many wonderful hospitals all around us, and maybe he can work something out.
I told him that the bridge ladies would be happy to sit with Pat and give him a break. I know how it is to be at the hospital with a sick family member and think that something important will happen the moment you leave for a meal or something. Now a friend with a cell phone could make that much easier.
Judy and Kay, please do take care of yourselves.
Jo, I have always appreciated your lists of special dates, but understand that you need to retire. I admire those of you who keep this information and post the congratulations promptly. I am one of those who just waits and copies someone else's happy thoughts unless I find the information on Facebook.
Okay, strange lights appearing from time to time on the cam image. These lights would be in the sky. I do not know . . .
Well, maybe the strange lights are lightning bugs closer to the cam. I am hoping for a logical explanation.
Lolly, I was not sure when you would be starting the football thing. It does seem awfully hot for the kids to be running around in that football gear.
Seems today was one of good news and not so good news. Tried to catch up.
Good potential news for Mr. Studmuffin and extraordinary news from Margy, wonderful news from Wanda. Very sorry Jack is unwell, JudyE took a fall, and Shirley's friend has relapsed.
Sandperson just slammed the closet door where the sleepy dust is hidden. I believe departure is imminent.

Well, I did it again...got on here to chat a bit about the wedding of Rachael and Robbie, and spent so much time reading back and trying to catch up, that I'm too sleepy now to keep my eyes open and my fingers on the RIGHT keys:)

its a coolish morning here....66 and low humidity....it sure doens't feel like august.....kind of nice. august is typically the hottest and most muggy month here....and the one i like least.... but so far so good.
today looks like the only sunny day of the week....good rain chances the rest of the week. guess i will have to finish mowing the grass today....
i haven't chimed in on this yet: MEMAJO: you know, i am appreciative of the list, but do not refer to it. i think it is reasonable that someone else take it over....i like the suggestion of if everyone wants it, let it post first of the month here, and/or allow each person to announce that today is their special day...whatever day that is.... we are all adults and can certainly be responsible for that...
just my opinion, for what its worth.

Judy, I put the photo of Belle/Shep with the open wings in the album. I was just lucky to see him/her land and then be sitting at the computer when those beautiful wings opened up - maybe drying off from a dip in the river?

Hunter and Will are planning to go to Kings Dominion today, so Hunter will be skipping Y Camp for the day. That means I can take it easy.

I've tried to read back from the last several days. Good wishes and prayers for all situations. I'm afraid I will miss someone if I comment.
My brother and his wife have been here from VA helping me and visiting. They did 95% of the work and it is sure good to see the results. I have a company coming later in the week to do some power washing and gutter work, so the place is spiffed up a bit.
