Lynne - what beautiful words your landlady said about the upstairs tenants. Never go up to check things out - just keep that phone handy!
Glad you only had a half days work!

Michael and his son Robert brought over the 2 children to sled on the small hill in the front of our house. They really had a blast and so did Michael.

Dinner is finished - roast beef is gone! Going to call the birthday gs now and see how he enjoyed his day.

Best Wishes for a Smooooth Evening.

Hoda said...

Glad you had a terrific day JO.

Hoping you heal soon JUDYE not much fun being sick.

Lynne2 said...

The leak did stop. Seems they have had this problem before because the kids are using the tub and splashing. Landlady called them.

I will NOT ever go up there, and will try to give them a wide berth between now and when they finally leave.

Lynne2 said...

Judy, hope you feel better. I agree that the meds are probably OK even if expired. Drink fluids and rest!

Lynne2 said...

Now, regarding my better eating plan...it's going very well! I'm drinking lots of water (and buying lots of TP LOL!!) and eating a more carb/protein balanced diet. I already feel so much better!

paula eagleholic said...

Roast Beast! Yum...I pulled a hunk out of the freezer left over from Christmas...making hot roast beef n gravy sandwiches.

Gotta read back...

paula eagleholic said...

Good Lynne! I have been overeating too....been toning down what I eat at lunch and dinner.

paula eagleholic said...

So the snow is pretty much gone from the nest?

Sandi said...

Mom at Blackwater is really tenting - God bless her!! It is still raining very hard here- probably still at Blackwater too! But there is some snow mixing in with the rains. Winds are still roaring as well!

Just past high tide and no water overflowing the canal in front of us. But some roads are starting to flood. Rt. 1 north of the Indian River Bridge is closed and Rt. 1 south of Bethany down to Fenwick Island is also closed.

Sandi said...

Lynne, sorry to hear about your ongoing noise problems. How depressing for Steve who is stuck inside!! Hope the landlord/landlady can do something fast!

paula eagleholic said...

Sandi, sure hope the flooding stays away from your abode.

Lynne, good news from your landlady. Sure hope they can get them out soon.

Hope you feel better, JudyE.

Linda, hope that cold vanishes soon.

Shirley, how much snow did you get?
Glad Luna was found. Grilled cheese and soup is always good!

Happy Birthday to Donovan, too!

LOL, Bird Girl! Wing nuts!

paula eagleholic said...

Sandi, I see the breach on the Deldot cam in regards to Rt 1...

paula eagleholic said...

Sandi, have you liked Delaware Surf Fishing on FB...lots of pics and updates.

Sandi said...

Paula, thanks for the heads-up about DE Surf Fishing. Looks like Rehoboth is in bad shape!

Wondering if Indian River Schools will be open tomorrow - lots of trees falling, lots of people with no power. We'll see!

Time for Survivor! Goodnight all - see ya in the AM (I hope!)

Hoda said...

Good to see SANDI checked in and so far no breach of the canal infront of her house...

LYNNE I breathed a loud sigh of relief at your post that you will not go up there...Buy ear plugs so you do not have to hear it all the time and maybe some for Steve to lower its intensity.

PAULA ROAST BEAST??? Is it still alive...won't taste too good with gravy then!!! LOL!!! I know you meant beef!

I finished having an avocado, yellow pepper, onions carrots and kale salad with a vinigrette dressing. I feel well fed. It was a large bowl.

Hoda said...

Good night SANDI stay safe.

stronghunter said...

Hi,

Schools here closed again tomorrow. Kathryn hasn't told Hunter because she wants him to go to bed since she has to be up by 5:30.

paula eagleholic said...

Belle up

stronghunter said...

The nest looks snow-free now.

stronghunter said...

Egg roll.

paula eagleholic said...

Had backed up to the edge, not sure if PS or not...back over eggs, digging...wiggle wiggle.

paula eagleholic said...

Up again...gotta get comfy

stronghunter said...

Paula, I did not measure it, but I would say 6-8 inches. Closer to 8. Seemed like it was really deep when we were traipsing through it looking for Luna.

stronghunter said...

It snowed most of the night last night and most of the day today. It would have been really deep if it had been colder.

stronghunter said...

There was a snow plow this afternoon. Until then, the street was a mess.

Unknown said...

Hi,Popping in to say hi (hi and G'Night too) It sure has been awhile since I have posted over here. Yikes! Life has been a bit crazy and hectic lately.

I am surely glad the snow at Belle and Shep's nest was not as much as we feared it might be and that it was gone quickly!

One week until pip watch! Exciting. Hope you all are well ♥

Hoda said...

All is well here and it continues to snow. Feeling good with my supper and that the nest is clear of snow, almost. Glad the egg cup stayed dry...

NatureNut said...

Before it's too late~~~~HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHARON!!!!!!Party Hearty!

Glad most of the weather mess is leaving. Sandi, so happy you didn't have a flood! How scary!
Talked to daughter and got some emails from her. She said weather in TX has been up and down, too.The pictures she sent are just amazing. I have put pics on here and told the story of our older cat, Binky's, strange night moves. She plays with a toy and then puts it in the food dish. Daughter, Sherry, said Binky must have talked to her kittens on the phone. This AM when she turned on the kitchen light, a stuffed mousie toy was in the food dish!!!!!

stronghunter said...

Good to see you on the blog, Lydia. Yes, almost pip time.

Better keep that cat away from the phone, Loretta. That is really funny. We really do not know what goes on in a cat's mind.

stronghunter said...

And I do not know what goes on in a dog's mind. Luna isn't really fond of being out in the snow, and she wants to come right back in the house when we let her out back, but if the front door is open, she will go right on out and wander until she has to be rescued.

stronghunter said...

Will just posted this on FB. He is happy he did not try to come home tonight.

"yup not going back to Fredericksburg tonight... good call
Route 3 eastbound is shut down near Chancellorsville due to multiple accidents and downed trees."

One of his friends also posted that a tree almost fell on his car as he passed by.

stronghunter said...

Guess Kathryn's shop will be busy fixing smashed cars.

Hoda said...

Glad WILL is safe SHIRLEY.
Safe Travels to KATHRYN tomorrow.

A Canadian Icon, Stompin' Tom Connors died today.

stronghunter said...

Brood Patch

Found this interestingwere article on brood patches. Our eagles were surely using their brood patches today.

stronghunter said...

Time to say good night. Rest well, everyone.

Hoda said...

SHIRLEY did a Face Plant!!!
Night SHIRLEY!

Lolly said...

Watched AI tonight. Tonight was the guys night. Hopefully some of the weird ones do not make it. There were a couple I enjoyed, but none as much as I enjoyed the girls last night.

LYNNE, that is just awful about your neighbors upstairs. Think Steve should have called 911. And very glad you are not going up to talk with them. Let the landlord take care of it. Glad to know they are working on getting rid of them.

I do hope all of you who are ailing with colds or whatever mend quickly. Laurel is still dragging and Joey is sick again. What a way to start a teaching career!!

Heard chirps and saw egg rolls a little while ago. So very glad the snow is gone.

Lolly said...

LYNNE, so very glad the diet is going well. Just be patient and keep it up. It takes a while to loose the weight, but you will!!

Silly me...I weigh every morning. But if I go down even a few ounces, I am happy.

Mema Jo said...

Closing down for the day
Thankful that our Blizzard was NOT one
but that some fun was had in the snow that we did get

I want to see sunshine tomorrow!

God bless us all and watch over us!

I love us ♥ Good Night!

Hoda said...

Well the police report this week is very entertaining again!
At 1:30 in the Morning the RCMP had two cruisers out on the road. The first one detected a speeding car headed towards them in the wrong lane. They put their flashers and their sirens and the guy kept coming at them!!! They got out of the way and warned the second cruiser which also got out of the way. They gave chase and stopped the guy who was totally out of it on Nelson's favourite agricultural product. The driver was indignant and did not think he should be stopped as he is from England and according to him he was driving on the right side of the road!!! The RCMP, as I am sure HER MAJESTY, was NOT amused! He spent the night in the local cells courtesy of the tax payer.

Another chap came to a check stop for seat belts. He did not have his on. He had no drivers license either. When they checked on him it turned out he was from Alberta and under order to not leave the province and his Alberta license was suspended. He too experienced the hospitality of the tax payers and had to appear in court to face the judge and then he was flown to Alberta for the RCMP there to deal with him.

I love the police report section of the paper which only comes out twice a week.

Hoda said...

Goodnight.

Glad the eagles are safe and from all reports I think the eggs were also safe.

Thank you SHIRLEY for the brood patch article.

PRAYERS♥

Lolly said...

Makes for very interesting reading, Hoda. lol

Okay, here is a story for you. A teacher friend of mine posted on fb that it had been a horrible day. Said some kids (middle school) had tried to pull off a prank. She would not post it on fb but would tell us my private message if we inquired. Well, of course, I inquired!! The students attempted to give a turtle in the science lab aquarium a viagra. I am so glad it apparently did not happen. No telling what it would have done to the poor turtle!!

Judie said...

It is good to see that everyone has survived the pretend, thank goodness, blizzard.

Many comments race through my tired brain regarding Hoda's RCMP stories but am too sleepy to be coherent.

The night light is on and the sandperson has departed. Restful sleep for all.

Lolly said...

Belle is off the eggs. Egg roll. rearranging the flugg and wiggle wiggle back down.

Costume Lady said...

So glad our snow is nearly gone.
Belle and Shep did an excellent job
of keeping their 'bed' ship-shape!

Good Night to one and all and ♥

Lolly said...

Good night, Wanda. Time for me to say good night and turn in as well!

See you tomorrow! SED!!

Sandi said...

Good Thursday morning my eagle friends!

Just opened the cam to see 2 little eggs exposed. Within a few seconds, Shep arrived and wiggled down on them. All is well at the Sycamore Palace!

All is well here too. Rain seems to have stopped for now, winds, are a little calmer, all water in the canal is still in the canal, and the inside of the house is dry. Power stayed on all night. High tide is in about an hour but we should be OK.

Schools are on a 2 hour delay - my guess is that someone is driving around to see if roads are passable for the buses. Lots of power outages from downed trees last night.

Sandi said...

Blackwater Mom looks a lot dryer and more comfortable this morning. Did see a feeding last night so I know the babies got wet. Worried about the newest one being so young and getting pounded on with that rain.

Today is "Friday" with the kids. Tomorrow is a teacher inservice day - just a half day. YAY!!

My observation was cancelled yesterday b/c we closed early. Have to get that rescheduled as well as my meeting with the parent from hell.

Judy, hope you are feeling better today!

Andy, hope the meds for the neck and shoulder have kicked in and are giving you relief!

Dana and Lori, hope your dads continue to recuperate.

Lynne2, hope the landlord/landlady make good on their word to find you some new upstairs neighbors. What a downer!

Janet said...

Good morning to all! Its Thursday and I"m back up @ my "normal" time and going to work today! :)

I feel as if I have been in a time warp.....it feels like forever since I've been to work, and well, it has been 10 days.

JUDYE: feel better!

Everyone else, thinking of each of you, sending light, love and healing....

Have a super day! :)

Sandi said...

Feeding going on at Blackwater. I see 3 little chicklets moving around. #3 sure is tiny!

T-Bird said...

Good morning my fine eagle peeps.

T-Bird said...

I can't believe there is no snow on the nest. Am I seeing things or not as the case may be?

Lori O. said...

Good Morning Early Birds, SANDI, JANET and THELMA, and those to come!

SANDI, so glad you are safe and nothing was ruined by water!

JANET, YAY for you resting! Hope you feel like a million bucks as you head back to work today. You even sound excited about it! :)

LYNNE2, so glad your landlady understands the problems with the upstairs neighbors. Hopefully, it will all settle down SOON!

SHIRLEY, do you still have lots of snow, or did rain melt a lot of it like in so many places? Does Hunter know how to shovel snow? :)

I'm so thankful our nest is almost snowless and the egg cup stayed dry!

SHARON, hope your pain subsides and you had a very happy birthday yesterday!

ANDY, Have you already started your PT?

Prayers for all in need, two and four legged creatures all.

T-Bird said...

How much snow did those near the nest get?

T-Bird said...

It passed us by. We only got approximately a little over an inch.

Judie said...

Good morning.

So nice to see Shep tending the babes to be and sunshine warming the nest.

Today is exam day so my work doesn't begin until this afternoon. Then Spring break.

Wishing a lovely day for everyone and that those with aches, pains, other discomforts will recover quickly.

Lori O. said...

I haven't said anything, and thought I wouldn't because I didn't want anyone to know if I fail, but Momster prayers will be of a great help, so I'm spilling the beans. I am going to take an entrance exam (3 hours English, MATH & SCIENCE) for a 2 year LPN, Licensed Practical Nurse program. I need your prayers that I can pass this test. It's been more than 30 years since I've done any math and science, and I'm having trouble remembering all the formulas. Math was never my strong subject! Prayers that I can retain what I study and pass this test would be absolutely, kindly appreciated. I haven't scheduled the date when I will take the test, but it will be next month sometime...more time to study!

Sandi said...

Lori, YOU GO GIRL!!!! Great plan for your next career!!! I bet you'll find that the math comes back to you pretty quickly. But that science stuff ...??? I'll be praying for ya!

Time to get ready for my school day - guess the roads are OK!

Make it a great one everybody!

glo said...

Prayers for your test Lori You can do this!!!!!

T-Bird said...

That is great LORI. You got it. I understand about not wanting to say anything but, as you said, the power of the prayers is too great not to ask for. God is in charge.

glo said...

ood morning all. Prayers for a good day for all. I slept faily well again. Camera Club tongiht. I am going to try to go and will jsut leave early if i have a couching bout. I am pretty sick of this cold. HAGD all.

stronghunter said...

Good morning,

Taking a few more minutes to relax before checking on Hunter. He keeps running around the house. Got me wondering what he's doing.

Someone asked about our snow. We
plentiful amount. That is why Hunter is here charging around the house this morning--snow day #2.

Interesting face-plant last night. Don't really know how I did that.

stronghunter said...

Oh, Judie, enjoy that spring break. Spring break for Hunter is the first week of April.

stronghunter said...

Sounds like a great plan, Lori! A real career change for you. Prayers and best wishes.

stronghunter said...

So nice to see our Shep in the sunshine this morning.

Costume Lady said...

GOOD MORNING...

It is 39° here in Nestville, going up to 42°...I think it's going to be warmer than that, JMHO! Snow is nearly gone in my yard. It's like a friend of mine stated on facebook:
God is really COOL, he gave a beautiful snow for those who like snow, but made it disappear quickly for those of us who don't like snow!

LORI, my heartfelt prayers are with you to have an easy time with your studies and test. Having the desire to become a nurse is so remarkable at this time in your life. The world needs more good nurses...God knows this and I believe he has touched you, so he will be with you and guide you through the days ahead. (((HUGS)))

Costume Lady said...

SPRING BREAK for Judie...good time for a visit to WV!
For that matter, has anyone heard of an Open House at NCTC...have they done away with that?
NCTC has gotten grouchy and is ♫♪♫Breaking up that old gang of mine♫♪♫!

paula eagleholic said...

Lori, wishing you all the best on your studies and your test! You can do it!

paula eagleholic said...

Shirley, sounds like you have all of us beat in the snowfall dept!

Yes, nice sunshine. 60° at the beginning of next week...yeah! Bring on spring!

paula eagleholic said...

My son Michael is 25 years old today! 1/4 century! I remember when that was a big deal!
