My goodness it's Titmouse O'clock already...

Sounds good Paula....having the extra time to close things out in an organized fashion for you

Happy Upbeat report on your father, DanaMo ☺

and also Lori's ☺

"Steady as They Go...."

Good morning,

Slept in, though it was a challenge with George stomping on me. Finally got up and fed him.

stronghunter said...

Nice to hear good reports on Dana and Lori's fathers.

glo said...

Good morning. Haven't read back yet. Just wanted to say yesterday was such a special day for me to be with "Mom". I can hardly talk today but I honestly did not cough and sneeze all over here. She herself does have a pretty good cough but is on an antibiotic. I got word of some eagles in a location not too far away. My brain says I need to stay in today. Storm tomorrow and Tues. Hmmm. well will decide that in a while. HAGD all.

Glo, glad Mom is doing so much better.

Thanks for the split warning, Margy!

magpie said...

Oh Wonderful, Glo....☺♥☺♥ the picture is GREAT, thanks for posting here....

Sorry you are losing your voice, but sure glad your Fingers can do the Talking ☺ ♥

stronghunter said...

Looked out the window to see a ring around the moon last night. That means precipitation on the way, I believe. But we know that. Just hope the type of precipitation is not frozen.

stronghunter said...

Good to read the happy report on your mom, Glo.

magpie said...

You must have been up quite LATE to see that Shirley ☺
That ol' Full Moon disappears quickly on its Waning Way...

On with the day here...
different kind of Morning Shuffle on my days off;
Berkeley Springs and James-time is on the agenda,
and a bunch of stuff to do before then

Best Wishes for a Good Day,
Every One, and hoping that the Brrrrrs will ease up as the day goes on... xoxo ♥

Look out Belle and Shep. This is what the Weather Channel is saying for Shepherdstown for Wednesday.

"Potential for significant snow accumulation."

Oh, not what we want to see. At least we know that Belle has lots of experience with this stuff, and we can hope that it is over before the hatching.

stronghunter said...

Was so late that it was early, Margy. I had trouble falling asleep.

stronghunter said...

I hear Hunter and his mom talking downstairs. His voice is getting deeper and deeper. He does not sound like a little boy anymore.

stronghunter said...

For Fredericksburg, it says that we might get some accumulation.

paula eagleholic said...

Belle brought some flugg in, Shep departed.

paula eagleholic said...

Haven't been able to see anything further on the BW egg.

Lori O. said...

GLO, thanks for posting the picture link...you look so happy! Glad it was a special day for you.

SHIRLEY, once again I hope the weather channel is wrong, but like you said, Belle has a lot of experience with snow, we just don't want too much...scary; but, they can flap those wings and blow some snow clear from the egg cup.

MARGY, have a great time with James today!!!

Mema Jo said...

What to do for lunch - I am running out of ideas that are yummy! Soups and sandwiches do the trick.

Happy for all good news! We deserve it! Dads are doing great - that is what counts the most at this time.

Your pictures of you and Mom are precious Glo. Such a gift to have her for the day!

magpie said...

oh my, looks like a chicken leg or some other bird leg on BWE...

Good Morning Almost Afternoon, More Eagle Pals...

sounds like Romper Room, a Bowling Alley an Jammin' Gym upstairs...
I am Jonesin' to head on out...

Thanks, Lori....pretty sure I WILL have a good visit with James the Wise Kidster ☺

magpie said...

Plumber-mechanic fellows cut a one foot square hole in my bathroom ceiling 5 days ago, and have not
been back since...
I constantly hear water dripping or flowing, but no active leaks.

Most of it sounds like it's from
upstairs, but maybe it's from
something in My apartment.
WOOF !

magpie said...

See you fine folks later on...

xo Have Fun, with whatever is
on YOUR Dance Cards xo ♥

paula eagleholic said...

Looks like we had a switch, Shep is on duty.

paula eagleholic said...

Margy, saw that leg too. Someone on the BW FB page said it might be from a lesser yellow legs or rail...or chicken, LOL

paula eagleholic said...

Actually a leg and foot!

paula eagleholic said...

Shep is swimming in a sea of fluff!

Lynne2 said...

I feel for ya Margy, we have a very heavy set family, 3 kids running around, and a big mouth father, on welfare and home all day, yelling at everyone.

Hi all!

Still getting things together and making great progress!

stronghunter said...

Maybe they are bringing in all of that extra flugg for insulation.

stronghunter said...

Chicken for dinner at BWE would be quite nice.

stronghunter said...

Oh, Margy, I remember when Susan had a ceiling collapse in her bathroom at a previous apartment. I guess maybe if won't collapse if it is not there, but a one-foot hole would not be enough. At least you have to figure water is not collecting there, or it would pour out the hole.

Seems like there is just a lovely variety of sounds coming from above.

stronghunter said...

Oh, Lynne. Hope the father gets a job and goes off to work.

Sandi said...

Hi all, home from a great morning of tennis!

Lynne2, are you talking about your upstairs neighbors where you are living now??? Oh no!!!

For those of you on FB, you have GOT to go to my timeline and read the article that I just shared from my niece, who is also a teacher. It's entitled, "What Teachers Really Want to Tell Parents." I have printed the article and am going to mail it to my "mother from hell." =) I'll have someone else mail it from their post office since this woman knows I live in Bethany Beach and I wouldn't want her to see a Bethany Beach postmark on the envelope. Every point made in the article is something I have had to deal with this year with this woman!

paula eagleholic said...

Oh Sandi, I'll mail it for ya!

Sandi said...

Paula, I computer-generated a mailing label and my son is going to mail it from Berlin, MD tomorrow when he goes to work! But thanks for offering! She'll know it was sent to her by one of the many teachers at Selbyville Middle who has had the misfortune to have to put up with her for 180 school days. But, if Kevin mails it for me, then I won't have to tell even one person at my school. So, if she complains to my principal and he would ever ask at a faculty meeting who sent the article, I won't have to worry about anyone else having to lie for me.

stronghunter said...

Very good article, Sandi.

I am sure every one who is or has been a teacher can identify with all of those problems.

Just don't think the woman will take this advice to heart. Her brain is not wired that way.

I used to tell myself that I would have the kid for a school year, but the parent would have the kid for a lifetime.

paula eagleholic said...

Very good, Sandi.

paula eagleholic said...

Shep off the nest and off to the right...hear calls in the distance.

Lolly said...

Good for you, Sandi! I have seen that before. I would have mailed it for you, too. Coming from Texas would really have fooled her.

Hi all! Could not get on last night. Do not like this laptop, it occasionally will not do anything! Grrrr!

It has warmed up here again, though the house is staying cool. Going to eat a bite and then head outside! Wahoooo! Sun and a little warmth will do me good.

Oh, no, Lynne!! So very sorry that the upstairs residents are not the best. Not good at all!

paula eagleholic said...

And Shep back from the left....getting back on duty

paula eagleholic said...

Belle back, settling on eggs, but seems to be fussing at Shep while he finishes up the nestovers.

paula eagleholic said...

Yup, she's gonna steal it from him.

paula eagleholic said...

He's not quite sure what to do...backs off, then takes off the back to the right. Belle finishes the nestovers at the 5 spot.

paula eagleholic said...

Belle munched on some of the nestovers...now she is settling in

paula eagleholic said...

Sutton cam coming back online...4 eggs in the nest!

paula eagleholic said...

Chicks in view at BWE...Mom has had them covered quite a bit today.

paula eagleholic said...

Looks like they need to restock the pantry at BWE

paula eagleholic said...

No further movement on the 3rd BWE egg

DanaMo said...

Oh Sandi! Good for you! Thankfully I have never had anyone so extreme, but I often would like to post those on my timeline. I try to stay away from that stuff though because of our small school and too m any people who know on facebook where I teach and such.

Kay said...

Good Afternoon Eagle Buds !

Wahoo, the ☼ doth shine in Central Ohio ! The ground is still crunchy under one's foot, but by Friday we'll melt that ice layer with a 50° day ! Hope good weather is coming your way, too, wherever you are !

GLO, that picture of you and "Mom" is worth a thousand words ! She has a million dollar smile on her face ! Beautiful !

SANDI, we're solidly behind you where "the mom from hell" is concerned ! She makes my blood boil.

MARGY, hope you plan on calling the management tomorrow re:the work that needs to be finished ! Bad enough that you have to put up with those noisy neighbors and then having a hole between you has to make even more sound come through. Arrrrgggghhhhh.

LYNNE2, it has to be quite an adjustment to live close to, or under other folks. Especially like the family you've described ! I live in a fourplex and hear my neighbors coming and going through our common vestibule, but no one overhead. I use my back door and deck to exit so the only time they hear me is when I go to the mailbox.

Love and prayers for all in need !

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Lynne2 said...

OMG, this is way, WAY beyond normal upstairs noise. For the past 2 hours, one or 2 of the kids has been running and stomping constantly! Almost as if on purpose.

The guy up there has already said he thinks the landlord is and idiot, and the wife said that they didn't get along with the former tenants in our place. My interpretation: they were very noisy and rude, and the former tenants complained, causing the landlord to intervene.

Sigh....

and no, I see little hope that this guy or the wife will be getting a job anytime in the near future. By my calculations, they have a 12 year old, and 8 year old and a 4 year old. They are due for another kid to keep that welfare coming.

OOPS. Sorry. That was mean.

paula eagleholic said...

Sometimes the truth hurts, Lynne.

paula eagleholic said...

Feeding at BWE again...think I see the pip hole, but it's been there since yesterday morning...not looking good for the 3rd egg at BWE

paula eagleholic said...

Sorry about the upstairs neighbors...I'm sure Steve is gonna have some stories to tell you...

paula eagleholic said...

Maybe you should bang on the ceiling....

Sandi said...

Lynne2, ya know the saying, "If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all?" That sure sounds like you and Steve!! GGGRRRRR!!! I know you really don't want to move again, but you may have to if the conditions stay like you describe. Obviously the landlord intervening the last time didn't solve the problem b/c the rude neighbors on the 2nd floor are still there and the 1st floor folks moved. You did say that your lease is only month to month, right? I am so sorry to hear that this is happening already!

Glo, your photos with your "mom" are priceless!! Glad you both had a wonderful day together!

Weathermen are starting to say the storm this week is more and more likely to happen and it will be wind, rain, and flooding in Delmarva!! It's too early to panic, but I'll admit I am already worried!

Lynne - Wouldn't it be grand if we knew ahead of time as to what lived above us. TURN THE MUSIC UP!

There is moisture in the air here. I am sure it will be snow overnight.

THANK YOU LORI for the comparison to your MOM that is a HUGE compliment.

VERY happy to hear the good news for both of your DADS LORI and DANA.

Disappointed in your brother and yet respectful of your attitude hard as the reason is for having it.

Jordyn has a bed with a bed in a drawer under it but his sounds different if it makes in to a full bed I want to get rid of the big big in my spare room may be a idea but may want to buy to where someone else can put together LOL

JudyEddy said...

YEP HODA its scarey about the guy and he is the first to dye to a sink hole they were suppose to tear down the house today with big equipment that will reach over the property since they can't go on the land and they are trying to save as much property in the house that they can I still can't fanthom this happening so sad its on the every news case

and it taste good LOL not like Zicam yuk

JudyEddy said...

gotta turn down the sound toooooo windy for me

Lynne2 said...

ahhh....it could be worse, for sure! I doubt the people down here moved due to noise upstairs. I cannot imagine any landlord wanting to deal with the expense of good tenants leaving due to poor ones being a problem. Time will tell. And the lease is a year, but either party can bail with 30 day notice. I'm NOT moving again. LOL! Not anytime soon! And this is a cute place, once I figure out what to do with our books (boy am I sorry I ditched the bookcase...what was I thinking???!!!) and the 6 boxes of photos and photo albums...UGH! I'll take you all on a video or picture tour of the place!

Lynne2 said...

In the mean time, we will be model tenants, just as we've always been. I'll not let those people drag me down to their level.

Hoda, I saw that Her Majesty is in hospital, but the article on CNN that I read said she is doing well. She's a tough old Royal bird!

Lynne2 said...

Starting some very serious diet changes tomorrow. Wish me luck! I've gained way too much weight, I feel like crap all the time, I'm always tired, my knees are killing me, etc., etc. All of this is NOT because of all the extra I've had to deal with since Steve's accident.

I'm going to miss sugar....

Lynne2 said...

Anyone going to be watching the much talked about The Bible miniseries beginning tonight at 8 on the History Channel?

Hoda said...

That she is LYNNE for sure she is!

I would love to go on a Royal Tour of your digs and I rather think if you treat them with respect they will do the same. It sounds like they lack awareness as opposed to doing things deliberatley. I do not hold much water to getting even or labelling of people...I hope it unfolds right.Prayers continue...

JudyEddy said...

BELLE just yawned

Lori O. said...

JUDYE, what is the name of the 16.92 pills you bought?

Hoda said...

I know sugar is a killer is it not...steady as she goes...small steps and the weight will be gone.

Lynne2 said...

well Hoda, truth be told, I must admit that I might just enjoy a bit of retaliation...LOL! BUT, I'll take the high road.

Jo, I am glad you are feeling better. It does take time to get your strength back though.

Paula, all of this that you are going through cannot be easy. I think of you often and hope for a good solution to a new job.

Lynne2, your shoulders must be made of concrete.

Lori, glad your dad felt better. Give him some time. He is going through a life changing ordeal. He will bounce back soon!

Hoda, you are who I want to be when I grow up.

And Margy, I want your heart.

this was on EOA page on FB

NBG Nest(s) Update, March 3: Saw both eagles this morning. Saw a partial nest in the 04 tree, but observed them bringing nest material to a freshly started nest in another location nearby (in NBG) but won't share the location at this time so as lot to draw any unwanted attention. Neither eagle seems very comfortable around ground dwellers and it's hard to get a good photo as they can hide pretty well. These pics are of the male, I couldn't get a decent one of the female.
and he had some nice pictures

also the other day they found property to put the nest on in a tree and they got permission of go gather sticks from the dump site at the Garden

Lolly said...

In from working in the yard.

Suzan, need a sign of spring? While out working in the yard 5 groups of migrating geese flew over. Only one was and organzied v the other four were masses of honking geese, all traveling from the south...headed north! Love being in the migration path.

JudyEddy said...

this is also from their page
""""3/1/13 - Good morning! I know there are a lot of questions. I have them, too! The city has our request to "discontinue" the permit - both verbally and in writing. They have also received, in writing, the exact steps to take to discontinue it straight from USFWS regulations. The press release is 99.9% complete depending on what I hear from the city today. The press release will go out on Monday, regardless. I haven't heard back from Ms. Odell since our meeting on Monday but Mr. Jones and Ms. Odell know what we want and what our plans are. This was never going to be an easy journey. Especially for our eagles. This was never going to be a quick fix. We have met every obstacle they have tried to throw at us - some we've conquered, some we haven't. This is all new to me, new to us and new to them. But we will continue to fight for Dad and the Missus. I won't stop and I know you won't either.
A wonderful letter was written to Marcus Jones and delivered to all city managers and all members of City Council on Tuesday. It's from the Norfolk Federation of Civic Leagues supporting our eagles and what we are doing! Outstanding!!! This letter is posted under our files in a document called NFCLLetterheadtoMarcusJones,CityManager.pdf
The Federation represents most of the citizens in Norfolk! Citizens like ME!!!! It carries a lot of weight and influence with the city. We are very lucky to have them on our side! EAGLE ON!!!! And to expound a little more, the Federation is made up of the Presidents of all the civic leagues throughout the city. And there are a LOT!!! Each neighborhood has a "civic league" that represents that neighborhood's needs to the city - like street lights, roads, crime prevention, schools, community programs, etc.
No word from the city so GAME ON!!!! GAME ON EOA!!! GAME ON!!!!! As Carrie said, it's time to play hardball and I think we should call it EAGLE BALL!!! Using Talons and beaks and huge flapping wings!!!!! That will get their attention!!!!
And now for comic relief……………………………Guess what! The USDA is parked at the Garden and it's being attacked by a juvie! LOVE IT!!!!! Marlies was there and called me will send pictures when she gets home! Will post as soon as I get them!

3/2/13 – Bob Mislan posted a pic of nest number 6 that the eagles have been building on for 2 weeks now in the 2004 nest tree.

In a world where the rules were followed, the USDA could not touch this nest. We shall see!!! EAGLE ON Dad and #3! Eagle On!!! In the past, the USDA has waited until a lot of progress has been made before they tear it down. Cruel and inhumane! Removing 3 nests is supposed to be the limit on the permit. EOA so kindly helped with our friend in DC! This is exactly why we need her - to stop everyone in their tracks since the permit has been violated. She will intervene for our eagles with the city and USFWS. And everything is documented. These aren't "guesses" here!!!! This is why the facts are so important to us - no one can argue them. We should, though, have all our answers by Tuesday. Tommy and I are meeting with the newspaper - waiting to hear what time - no phone interviews this time - face to face with all of our documentation. And I will talk with WVEC. As I said yesterday (courtesy of Carrie - LOL) GAME ON!!!!

OH OH OH OH!!!!

Those bulbs that I planted in the autumn? Do you remember I spoke of them and I can not remember what they are???

WELL THREE SHOOTS ARE UP!!!

I think I planted ten!!!
Now what do I do?
Do I go water them right away or wait till morning when the day has a chance of getting warmer...

I AM ELATED!!!

Lolly said...

That is great, Hoda. I would water them when the soil is dry. Do not want to over water. Wonder what you have there?

My tulips are doing strange. A few are blooming but they are on the ground. No long stem!! Really weird.

Lolly said...

Where do you have the bulbs, Hoda?

Hoda said...

Now there are FOUR of them!!! Little one barely above ground but four all the same. Need urgent advice...do I water now or not?
It is cold out there so I am afraid to water. DO I cover them tonight with a blanket over the flower pot?

NatureNut said...

Good Evening Eaglebuds!
Right chilly around here. The day (Wed.)I got flower pics I put on blog at Chelsea, we had sun! Been there Fri. & Sat. and they're all closed. BOO Did see 8 deer nibbling in front field yesterday and later I walked the edge where they have their trails, but didn't find any antlers. Also got a goose landing demo when leaving~~~all very aerodynamic!Feet and tail down, head down and a 3-point landing with a slide!
Speaking of weather, we've seen a stray cat (one of a few) that seems to be ready to give birth any minute.I hate it when this happens! A pox on people who abandon them.
Oh well, back to reality~~~slept late, but made some headway on house shoveling and of course Monday day off is interrupted by Dr. appt. Arrgh!
Have read back some and hope all are or will be getting healthier.
Sharon, hope you get some good solutions from the specialists~~~prayers for you, Dana, & Lori's Dads. Hope Dana feels better and Lynne & Steve get their earmuffs on! Sorry you have rowdy neighbors.
Paula, sounds like a good, organized plan for closing down office. Best Wishes.
Shirley, I'd love to see that new bed, too! They should give YOU a construction fee!!
Love to all ☺ ♥
Gotta do some stuff~~~

Lolly said...

Off to eat...I am hungry. Headed to Bev's...I want some of that cheese cake!!!

Whoops, can not do that...on a diet. Good for you, Lynne??????! Loose weight and feel a lot better. Your knees will thank you. Eat lots and lots of veggies and drink lots of water. When you are just dying for something sweet, fix a pretty dish of fresh strawberries with low fat yogurt over it. Yummy! Oh, and did I mention lots of water? :) I drink 8 ounces before every meal, 8 ounces during the meal, and 8 ounces after the meal. Yes, I do visit the powder room often, but I am now down 9 pounds!!!

Hoda said...

OH LOLLY thank you for answering. It is a morning facing side of the building so it only gets morning sun. It is a large flower pot. Touch fingers in a wide circle infront of you and it will give you the size of the pot. I will take a picture and maybe see if I can post it on FB. Oh I can not do that my phone is charging...

Lolly said...

So, this flowr pot is outside. Interesting...and how cold. Watering now would probably be good if the soil is dry. If things are dry when it gets really cold, you can have more damage. Now knowing what they are makes it hard to know what to tell you. That's a big pot, so you can not bring it in.

Lynne2 said...

Lolly, I'm on it! Have all my meals measured out and prepped for the next 4 days. Correct amounts of protein vs carbs, salads, whole grain carbs only, will drink lots of water.

Hoda said...

No LOLLY the instructions were to plant them outside...
I have not watered since October when I first put them in...I gave a good watering then before and after I planted and they have been outside since then. Pot is too heavy for me to carry.

It is the same with my Birch Spirea. It still has dried leaves on it and I have not watered it since autumn. They have not fallen on their own. DO I tak the leaves off now to make room for the new ones or will the plant do that when it is ready. Do I water now? I tend to think it is too cold to introduce water. My iphone tells me it is 35 now on its way to 27 tonight.

I am so excited I have eaten two oranges since I discovered the shoots...do I cover them with a blanket LOLLY?

glo said...

Thank you all for your kind comments re "Mom" it was wonderful. Today I have not felt well at all. Its been quiet and restful overall. Got another snowstorm coming tomorrow. I know I will not be able to sleep...I wished I could remember what they were and how to tend them. I will be very sad if they do not make it because I do not know!!!

Hoda, I think the bulbs can handle the temperatures you mentioned, but it will not hurt to cover them.

Hoda said...

Thank you JUDYE and SANDI and SHIRLEY. I went out and covered the pot itself with the thickest blanket I own, and as JUDYE suggested on FB I put pots over the shoots to create a tent like atmosphere for them.

Lolly said...

I an so mad at me!!! Do not like me!!!! Cursed!!!! I went to shower, decided to water my orchid that has buds. First time ever to have an orchid re-bloom! And, what did me do....me snapped the stem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so unhappy!!!!!!

Hoda, your bulbs and plant have received water from the snow, right? If they have been under a cover, but outside, you will need to water.

Lolly said...

Sounds like a plan, Lynne. Also, do a lot of walking to get excercise. You apparently have a diet plan that spells it out for you. Sounds good. Drink drink drink!

Hoda said...

OH LOLLY!!! I am so so so sorry about the orchid.

I will water to keep the earth moist tomorrow...I appreciate your advice and I am so very grateful SANDI JUDYE SHIRLEY AND LOLLY...
I promise to not pull the shoots to see if they could grow faster!!! LOL!!! I know that much!!! WINK WINK WINK!!!
A watched pot never boils does the same go for a watched shoot never grows? I hope not!!!

Lynne2!

I am aghast at the noise report from YOUR upstairs neighbors...
much much worse than I have been enduring...
I have talked to the mother a few times, I think she understands but still too too much jumping around.

Man on man I feel for YOU !!

magpie said...

There is a statement in our lease about noise and consideration, but I have chosen to try to deal
with with the neighbors and not the landlords...

Shirley: I'll call landlord Monday and see what's "UP." I meant to do that Friday from work but was too busy

Paula! I love that new avatar....I did say a few times my favorite color is Yellow I think ☺

yes no water running out that hole, but considerable ceiling damage from other leaks over

I turn the bathroom vent fan on so I have more privacy in that department.

Personally, I think you and
Steve have every right to at
least somehow mention to your
upstairs neighbors about the noise.
Music helps, I did that last night.
My pictures turn a'tilt after so
much stomping and romping around
from upstairs.
And they toss their cigarette
butts out the window, which of
course puts them on MY little
yard space...cannot STAND that !

magpie said...

Good Night dear Jo...
Hope you get ALL your strength back soon and can find some germ-free

I do hope this pays off.

Hoda said...

I am cringing MARGY!
People who live in Flats in North AMerica shuld have to pass a test first about manners and etiquet of sharing space...seriously this does not seem to be a problem in most places in the world!!!
Now admittedly most of the rest of the world has to deql with bombs and such falling so the noise factor is different yet again!!! Don't mind me!!! I am off for some meditation.

there is also an infant upstairs now, was born in October, I

yet...
they talk of moving...
The Mom is really a sweet girl,
seems to be trying her best, but I think her situation is overwhelming also...
maybe not getting a lot of

It could be worse, and if it was or ever is...I will talk with landlord, Hoda...

LOVE YOU MARGY and that was not complainging that is giving voice to the living situation.
I would talk to the Landlord and see what comes from it all.

stronghunter said...

I am glad that no one outside the family lives under us. Hunter frequently bounds down the stairs. I think he leaps over the bottom steps and then he leaps over the folding chair I have been using to keep Luna from sneaking upstairs.

Of course, this does not happen at 4:00 AM, and it does not last too long. Usually it does not bother me, except when it shakes the house or, once, when Hunter did not completely scale the chair and there was a huge crash. Both Hunter and the chair were reasonably okay.

Will does not complain as much anymore. But it is all withing the family at least.

stronghunter said...

Margy, maybe you should try to convince the landlord to install thick carpeting up there.

stronghunter said...

. . . within the family.

stronghunter said...

It is almost time to get Hunter signed up for spring baseball. That is the solution in this household.

Hoda said...

LOVE YOU SHIRLEY AND HUNTER TOO!!!
Very entertaining household you run!

Lynne2 said...

oh, there are ciggy butts as well. They smoke on their deck and toss the butts over the side into the yard. I've not had time to do anything in the yard yet, but that will be on my list of things to discuss with them. I won't live in an ashtray.

I will speak to them first, and if they don't calm down, then I'll speak to the landlord. The man up there is a bit scary. He yells an awful lot, and curses. Makes me nervous....

AND there is a leak in the hall ceiling! The ceiling tile as a wet spot! OMG.....

Good to see NCSuz stop in! Hope you are feeling well these days!

And glad you had some quality wise time today Margy!

Geez Lolly, so sorry about your Orchid. What a bummer :(

Oh, I've been doing lots of walking, taking the dogs for long walks and back and forth to work, but I need to start stretching.

Very happy to hear the good news about Lori's dad and

The news about Dana's dad as well! I hope whatever demons that your brother is dealing with Dana, will not keep a hold forever.

I hope the deeper voiced Hunter is enjoying his first night in the almost completed new bed!

Sad about the preggers cat, Loretta. It's getting to be "that time of year" in the stray and feral cat world....

Lolly said...

Just talked with Laurel. They were invited this evening to a neighbors for a dessert. Laurel really likes here. They have three small children. The oldes is a little boy that Jacob plays with. Nice that they have a great neighbor.

Next week is their spring break. Laurel is going to have a garage sale at the old house at the end of the week. Also, Joey is supposed to move all the garage stuff and hire someone to move the two pianos and pool table. He is supposed to move the freezer. I will be toatally amazed if the move is finally over.

Hate cigarette smoke!! Laurel and Joey when first married had an upstairs apt. The people below them would go on their patio to smoke and the smoke would rise right up to their balcony. Laurel could not sit out there the smell was so strong.

I have never lived in an apt. Jack and I rented a small house when we first married. Bought our first house after 1 1/2 years. Lived there for 7 years. Both babies arrived while we lived in Ft Worth, then we moved here and here we sit for the rest of our lives! I dare anyone try to move me!

Lolly, the house that says our house....that's not our house. Ours is the next one south. See striped roof? that's a small garage and that is our place right next to it. You can see all the fields out back where I walk the dogs, and have seen BLUEBIRDS!

Lynne2 said...

Meanwhile, I've never used Google Earth before and that is really cool!

Lolly said...

We had a brick and board bookcase when we first married. We had it come out from the wall and it made a low devider between the front door and our dining area. We put our first aquarium on it. Neat memories. The other bookcase we had was one Jack had as a little boy. We ended up painting it and it held toys in the nursery. Now I have huge built in bookcases in every room. Jack builds beautiful bookcases.

Lynne2 said...

I am not happy about the idea that the weather sources seem to be leading to SNOW, sig. accum. on WED. It's Steve's BIG DR APPT!!! This would be the one where hopefully he can be allowed to resume some walking. UGH!

Lolly said...

What?!! Never used Google earth? It is so much fun! It keeps improving...can not hide anything from the eyes in the sky. lol

stronghunter said...

Thanks, Margy. I can't quite imagine writing a book, to tell you the truth.

Van Cliburn's death is in the news tonight. One of those names from the distant past. Wonder if my children have any idea who he was?

Lolly said...

The solar lights look really pretty around the pond. I think we will really enjoy it this spring and summer. Will try to get a picture to show you.

stronghunter said...

I love Google Earth. Did go looking for Lynne's place awhile back. Then enjoyed the video on the link she provided.

Lynne2 said...

Good grief I'll be hours on GE!! LOL! I've got to grab the laundry out of the dryer and walk the dogs and get my arse to bed.

I will check in tomorrow from work when I can!

Good night and prayers for all!

OH Margy...we could get the bookcase but we don't have a big enough vehicle! But I like cinder blocks and wood...very hippie rustic!

magpie said...

I know of Van Cliburn....

We had a reasonably "famous" pianist who lived in Shepherdstown...I
have to try to think of his name...
died several years ago...

Lolly....built-in bookcases, that is a dream.....I was married once to a fellow, fine woodworker, he built them for a few people he worked for.....

The newest Google Earth picture of my house shows the new fence, so they have been updating.

Nighty-Night Lynne2 and Steve....
Oh hey, how about vinegar and
water, is that in your diet?
Great for cleansing the body,
and ending the appetite after a meal.
And for energy. Cider Vinegar,
must be very cold !
about a tablespoon in a glass of
water after meals...
Oh yum ! and a grimace....

Ok, Lynne. Went to google earth. See the striped roof.

stronghunter said...

Well, I got booted off again. Had to provide my phone number and get a verification code. They have been trying to get my phone number. Well, now they have it.

stronghunter said...

They said they have detected unusual activity on my account.

stronghunter said...

Would like an explanation, Margy. I had avoided giving my phone number before, but it said I had to provide it. Could receive a voice message or a text. I did not want my house phone ringing at this hour, so I got a text message with a code that let me back in.

Feeling violated.

stronghunter said...

Going to call it a night. We do have early mornings around here.

SED, everyone.

Costume Lady said...

Good Evening folks...

Busy week ahead, so If I fail to show up on here, don't put out a Silver Alert.
Tomorrow, I will go into church and make the Chicken Noodle soup for Tuesday's dinner and I have 3 huge bags of clothes and shoes to put away. Tuesday is Soup Kitchen and at 12:45pm I have to take GG to her Dental surgeon to see if everything is going as it should with her stitches, etc.
Wednesday (if the snow is not too deep) GG hair appointment. Thursday, Food Bank truck (2 tons of food) Friday is prepare for Family Friday day. Hopefully, Saturday will be a stay out of appointments day!

Have a great week and do be careful if the snow hits 'Big Time' at your roost.
Love and prayers to you and yours♥

The big meeting with the parent from hell is this morning - I won't be there. More importantly, my Brian will be on a plane home to the US in about 4 hours! That's what I'm staying focused on today! He won't touch down at Dulles til tomorrow evening but every hour, he'll be closer to home! I am a happy mom! =)

Prayers for Dana's dad, Lori's dad, and little Isaac! Make it a great day!
