I saw eaglelovers video too JUDYE and I do not think he is self feeding...not enough time nor motion to actually take in anything...I think he is still too young.

Hi, Everyone,
Gosh, it feels good to be home today, and not have to brave freeway traffic to go to the desert house! Will be busy doing weekly grossery shopping, and must find a janitor supply place to visit. Need something, similar to dynamite, for the toilet! Will try CLR on the sinks.

Thinking of Lynn today, and hoping for a good day for her! Lots of prayers going up. Need to spend some time with Emma before I hit the road shopping, so will check in later tonight, after dinner. Hope everyone has a good Good Friday! (Kubby used to have this day off, but the company changed that a few years ago. They now have President's Day off instead! The heathens! Shame on them!) Later, alligators... :o]

stronghunter said...

Lots of decorating going on in the nest.

Whole family is in the nest.

Going around the house, picking up, watering plants and....shhhhh, please do not tell Jack....I found Christmas decorations on a shelf in the living room. (4 silver bells with red ribbons) LOL I have put them away. Actually, we always laugh and wonder who will find something not put away.

Nice fish, Shep has, looks like he is going after the head.

Ms Bookworm said...

Wanda, thanks for the warning about Kaboom!

Shirley, thanks--I'm always careful about the ammonia/bleach thing.

Will definitely try CLR on the sinks! Sure hope it works!

Lolly said...

I am surprised Jack is not home yet. I am about ready to head out. Ok....back to straightening!

Hi all! Bet you didn't know that the American Standard Champion 4, comfort height, elongated bowl toilet will flush a BUCKET of GOLF BALLS in ONE flush!!!!! That's the one Dennis picked!!! I was so embarrassed during the conversation with the guy at the plumbing place that I had to walk away! =)

You are "friends" with your ex?

DanaMo said...

That comment was to JudyE apparently I was still reading on the wrong side of the split.

DanaMo said...

I just made them at home. We didn't do it in the classroom. Since it was my first time, I only made 3. One for my mom, one for my assistant, and one for me. I wasn't sure the grass would grow! ☺

Off to the eye doctor!

Judie said...

Hi all,

Lunch was really nice. Enjoyed catching up.

Babes are sunning with Shep in charge. Look comfortable.

Just spoke with a friend of 50+ years who lives in the flight path of the Oceana fighter jets. I lived in that area until my mid 20's. The apartments are old and were converted some years ago to senior housing. One pilot landed on a patio and was cut loose from the parachute by bystanders. No reported fatalities yet or reports of missing residents. However, access to the apartments is difficult and most are now burned out shells. Advisory that those living near the area stay inside as the fumes from the planes outer coating can be toxic. Report that the pilot ditched the fuel load but, given our knowledge of the area and how quickly the plane went down, we cannot figure out where the fuel could have been dumped. The plane was about 8 miles from the ocean. Anyway, there's a report.

Hoda said...

Thank you JUDIE much better report than I am able to get on the news here. I heard six were injured. I wonder where those seniors will go now...I hope they have other means of providing them with comfort. I much appreciate your report.
Glad you had a good lunch.

Missing LYNN♥

stronghunter said...

Did not remember that you had lived at VA Beach, Judie. I lived in Newport News for a number of years. We are planning a visit to VA Beach next weekend. Glad we are not down there right now.

I do hope no one has been seriously injured or killed, but I don't see how anyone could know yet. The damage looks really bad.

CNN is reporting that there is a school nearby that they managed to avoid.

Hoda said...

I am glad you are not there now too SHIRLEY. Canadian news report six injured and all apartment residents have been accounted for.
I saw some video from American outlets and it looked like pretty black smoke so I am glad those lads had dumped their fuel before impact...it could have been worse.I hoe the seniors find alternative accomodations.

We had a thirty something chap jump off the bridge and he survived. The police came and found him swimming to shore so they took him to the hospital for hypothermia and then to the Mental Health hospital for a psychological assessment since he volountarily jumped off the bridge!!!

paula eagleholic said...

:)

OK, so I bought a small amount of candy...some bunny peeps and some M&M's...going to make a peep cake for dessert on Sunday.

stronghunter said...

Yes, I would surely think that he needs to have a psychological exam, Hoda. Glad he survived. Guess he changed his mind if he decided to swim to shore.

stronghunter said...

Peep cake? Interesting.

stronghunter said...

I need to get a cake for Easter Sunday. We will be celebrating James's birthday. Susan wants to surprise him, and asked me to get the cake as they are diving down together.

paula eagleholic said...

The chicks can't feed until they can stand on those big ol' feeties...somewhere around 7-8 weeks, as I recall.

stronghunter said...

Trying to picture the peep cake.

paula eagleholic said...

Shirley, pretty simple cake. A 2 layer round cake...ice it and put the bunny peeps on the sides. I'm going to sprinkle M&M's on top.

paula eagleholic said...

The marshmallow bunny peeps.

paula eagleholic said...

Just google peep cake, and look at the pictures...

Heading home to mow.

Hoda said...

In comes Belle with more flugg

DanaMo said...

okay so my close up vision seems better, but my far away not that good...geez...I never had these issues before.

Judie said...

Shirley, will Susan and James be diving into the cake together? What fun that should be.

Another comment my friend made was that the pilot cut free of the parachute, in shock, kept saying he was so sorry. Injuries are an update.

Hoda said...

PAULA is this what you are doing> Looks good and fun for the Grand kidsPaula's Peep Cake?

Have fun preparing it.

PAULA I also copied your thoughts on when the chicklettes will start to feed themselves and posted them on the WOW site as I had posted eaglelover's video and asked people what they were seeing. I was not seeing any feeding. I hope yo do not mind. Let me know if you do and I will ask JUDYB to delete it.

The guy did not sink he floated so he decided he might as well swim to shore!!! I wonder sometimes, but am very glad that there are good mental health services here.

JudyEddy said...

YEP DANAMO still friends and as a matter of fact he is the one that came over and charged my truck the other day when I walked to work I had called Angie to see if Carl could look at my truck and Angies knows Carls knows nothing of engines so she called her dad and he came over right aways He also is the one who fixed my garbage disposal along with my son he instructed Tommy what to do I think he would do anything for me because I know he knows he was a fault in our divorce because of his drinking and he has stopped drinking

JudyEddy said...

Is that a fish sleeping with the chicklets ewwww

Hoda said...

Yes JUDYE it is a fish...they use them for pillows too it seems...LOL

DanaMo said...

Well that's awesome to hear Judy! So much better that way!

xoxo

Sandi said...

DanaMo, I have been meaning to ask you, is your kindergarten class all-day or do you teach an AM and a PM group? I ask b/c, here in Sussex County, kindergarten is still only 1/2 day, which i find pretty hard to believe. Esp. when most of the schools have a pretty high percentage of kids on free and reduced lunch.

magpie said...

Yes, that's very nice to read about, JudyE,
it's always good to have friends
and kind people in one's life
xo

magpie said...

Sandi
that's a monumentous task you and Denny have ahead of you with the bathroom renovation
Soudns like you're the right ones for a quality job though !

magpie said...

Sandi
I see two
PATIENT
eaglets at the nest

magpie said...

Am enjoying all the Easter preparations talk and CANDY talk

Hope everyone's ailments have completely disappeared by Sunday.

Paula sorry you have to work Saturday, we won't tell the people upstairs either !

magpie said...

Very sad about the plane crash in Virginia Beach...
a difficult situation for the apartment seniors, thankful the pilots survived....

DanaMo said...

We are full day Sandi! That's actually why I got the job. The Sr. that was teaching kinder said she would never teach full day. I finished my masters in Jan. and the school went full day the following Sept. I was already working at the school and had done my student teaching in first grade so I walked right into the job. The Sr. is now the aide in our newly formed preschool which is 1/2 day/5 days a week.

magpie said...

If I get up NOW I can get some things done here around the roost, I would rather be OUTSIDE

Judie, glad you had some time with a good pal ☺

Watch for that Full Pink Moon when it starts a'rising later

ttfn xoxox

DanaMo said...

I am shocked that you have 1/2 day in Sussex County. We were one of the last hold outs and felt we had to go full day to compete with public school. Especially with how much is expected in kinder I'm surprised parents aren't asking for it.

Shep flies in with food and Belle just grabs it! Where are her manners?

Sandi said...

Margy, then in my next life, I will be an eagle. In this one, I doubt I will ever be PATIENT!

DanaMo, I am amazed every year that Indian River School District chooses to pay the penalty for not having full day kindergarten b/c the penalty is less than what it would cost to add on to the schools to create enough classrooms for full day! Such a backward-thinking mindset!

Shep arrives - with a fish of course!! Belle takes it - and also wants the one Shep dragged from the middle of the nest! =)

DanaMo said...

Sandi, when do they fit in Science and social studies! LOl!

Sandi said...

DanaMo, the parents ARE asking for it!! Some have moved from Sussex County, DE to Worcester County, MD just so they can send their kids to full day kindergartens!

magpie said...

LOL Sandi...
I bet you have a LOT of patience in the classroom ♥

Kideaglets getting a lesson in patience and repect for their parents' needs !

It'll be their turn next

Hoda said...

In comes Shep with a small fish and Belle takes it from him and the chicklets wake up for a feeding and Shep is eating an older fish at six and Belle is eating the fresh fish at noon one little chicklette gets bites from each of the parents...so cute how they know when they are going to get a bite.

magpie said...

I DO see that little forehead spot on the baby closest to us, how cute is that !

DanaMo said...

I saw it too! I'm glad you see it cause I thought I was imagining it!

Hoda said...

I was just talking to Carol: For the fourth of July celebrations we are going to have a clam bake one night a lobster in fire pit another nite and Fresh steaks a third night...with salads and vegetables and how exciting it will all be...82 more days just sayin' and I will cross the border!!!YAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!

Hoda said...

That loose feather on the left wing tells me it is Bellebut when did they switch...I did not see that. I would like to see the top of their heads to make sure...there it is it is Belle...each parent is feeding a chicklette. Mama big Girl and Papa Little Man!!!
YYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! just sayin' 82 more days

Hoda said...

How in God's world do yuou all contain your excitement about living in the USA on a daily basis...I have to calm down so I would not scare them at the border crossing...

Sandi said...

Hoda, I have never lived anywhere besides the US so I have nothing to compare it to. Heck, I lived in one state for the first 50 years of my life! I know that my son who is living in Tanzania has a newfound appreciation for the county he was born in and will eventually return to!

Off to watch some TV! BBL!

Hoda said...

Poof Belle...Shep still feeding and Big Girl is getting so big...

I should have not spoken to Carol as now I am unable to settle...She phoned from Maine and there is so much wildlife around her place it will be awesome to simply share it all with family

Hoda said...

In comes Belle with more flugg...Chicklettes going back in the cup Oh he likes to watch his Moma that little one

Hoda said...

SANDI it should be made a law that All born US Citizens should have to leave the STATES for at least the summer once every ten years at least...You all have noooooooo idea the privilege that is living there...I love Canada too and think highly of this country, but the USA you all have no idea what it means to me to cross that border...the 49th parallel is only 35 miutes away from my flat...hard to believe...God Bless the USA and all who live in it.
