Hi Kay,

Bob Douglas was a traffic reporter in Columbus in the 1980s when we lived there. (He was also a member of the Columbus Police Department.) He flew in a helicopter and reported on traffic over the radio station.

He happened to live two doors down from us, and one day he scared me half to death. I was in the front yard with Rus, who was a little kid at the time.

I almost had a heart attack when a helicopter swooped over my yard. I grabbed Rus ready to run. The helicopter landed in Bob's driveway. He had forgotten his lunch and came home to pick it up.

Rus got to see the helicopter close up, so it all turned out well. Bob said I looked pretty funny from above.

They're rappelling down the Washington Monument this morning. Gives me the heebie-jeebies just to watch, especially when the cameraman shakes the camera.

Hoda said...

I am headed off to yoga and will see you all later...sorting book donations in preparation for the book sale at the end of October, and attending a meeting to prepare for the African Dinner in November, choosing the menus and figuring out who is going to buy what is on this week for me also.

ENJOY!!!

Lolly said...

Kay...we are headed to New Mexico and Colorado. Going to be staying at a RV park in Sante Fe and going to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. Will also go to Taos while there. Then we are headed to Durango,CO. Going to take the Durango/Silverton train ride in the mountains and canyons. While in Durango we will go to Pagosa Springs to make arrangements for our Thanksgiving dinner. We are spending the week of Thanksgiving (the whole family) in a mt. home in Pagosa. Going to order our dinner!!!!☺

Hello! WE are home!!!!
Liesl is quite LEAN.....I really hope we can keep the weight down, because she was too fat! She was SO happy to see her mommy. She cried and wiggled and gave my face a bath!! (LOL---she probably just liked the taste of the make-up, right??)
Had to pick up one med at the drugstore--luckily we have one in H'ville...they said 45 mins. I got upset...I've got a sick puppy who just wants to get home, I said. And they start "well, it has to be mixed." ARGH---only on e other customer waiting for an Rx. two pharmacists and 3 techs working. I ALMOST told them off---I worked as a pharmacy tech when I was in college: there ain't NO way it takes 45 mins. to pulverize pills and mix them with sterile water. But then the clerk asked what kind of puppy she was and I told her and she spurred them along! So it ended up being about 15 mins. or 20 mins.

Anyway, $320 later, we are here with 2 meds, plus her 2 monthly preventative meds for Sept., and special food for 3 days.

hedgie said...

Mammo was fine. Parking space right in front of door, 3rd in line in registration, and 1st in line in mammo lab! In and out in less than 30 mins.

Stopped at the farm market and got some maters and some just-picked apples!!! Think I'm going to do some apple dumplings this week!

hedgie said...

Having some really serious pain in my bad knee. Almost gave way on me.

Drat---just see that I need to return a phone call to a co-worker---not one that I really want to talk to right now....

Jo, so only one of yours showed up? Or was it supposed to be just the two of you? Good to hear that Ledo's lasagna is good----that's another one of those things that I hesitate to try out, because mine is SO good!!!

Good to see all y'all here this afternoon.

hedgie said...

That was easy---she wasn't home. She had left a message....the 3rd retiree passed away.....it always seems to follow that pattern.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Hope's death has been confirmed and that is all I have to say about that! :(

stronghunter said...

Hello,

Made a quick run to the grocery store and bowling alley. Got my shoes. Now, tomorrow I want to go practice.

I had told Hunter that I might not be here when I got home and we went over what he was to do, but we have a severe thunderstorm warning, so I am glad I am back. I would not want him to be here alone in a bad storm. I especially would not want him trying to get into the house in a storm.

Lynn, glad you have your little girl back.

Kay said...

LYNN, happiness is knowing Liesl is home for the best kind of TLC ! I guess the slimming down is a benefit, but what a lot to go through for it !

LOLLY, the trip sounds ideal and the T'Day plans wonderful ! Enjoy !

SHIRLEY, great story about Sgt. Bob ! Wonder where he is today--googled, but couldn't find a clue.

stronghunter said...

Kay, I Googled and found my post. It was actually in the 1970s; we came here in 1980. I did find one mention of him that said something like "God rest his soul." Perhaps he has passed away.

Lori O. said...

KAY, you still around? ((BIG Hug))

Lori O. said...

LYNN, so happy Leisl is home. Let's hope she stays on this track and continues her speedy recovery! Poor Honey baby...woof!

SHIRLEY, your EDG is the longest word next to some of Lynn's that she likes to show off & spell! LOL

Lori O. said...

HODA, I think you have done your early retirement in such a smart way with all your volunteer activities to stay healthy and active. You are amazing. I'm going to try to work up to your pace!

We have a few tinges of color change but won't see the big change for about two weeks. I haven't heard the peak color dates for this year yet, maybe someone else around here has.

hedgie said...

Well, dammit it all.....where is the PROOF?????? If he didn't KNOW it was Hope, how do they KNOW that it is??? And I still don't understand the tooth thing....what does that tell them??? Maybe there needs to be an additional legislative item banning killing any immature bear. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. They can say whatever they want about the hunter supposedly being an upstanding guy----BS. There's nothing good to say about someone who intentionally would shoot a cub or a yearling. That's MHO and nothing will change my mind. Tears won't stop....but I still can't believe it to be true.

Lori O. said...

LYNN (BIG HUG). Every hunter is required to send in a tooth from the bear they shoot. The tooth is used to gather DNA from the bear - Hope's DNA would have been on file. They use the DNA info for research, too. There are actually bear tooth collection stands at the hunting checkout stations where they register their "take."

Lori O. said...

Have they talked with the hunter yet?

hedgie said...

Shirley, sorry you hgave to go through another EGD, and hoping they don't find any irritation, inflammation, etc. YEa! New bowling shoes! What color?
Mine are baby blue and silver and gray!

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Everyone,
Lynn, SOOO glad that Liesl is back home with you! YAHOOOO!!! Glad your mammo went well, and quickly.
Waiting for an excellent report. Prayers for your hurting knee!

I am quite heartbroken about dear Hope. Just cannot understand why people think they need to go hunting. Tragic and senseless!

Sharon, prayers continue big-time for Kris Anderson! Hope that SIRT kicks that tumor's butt!!! Prayers, too, for Ron Parton. Hope he stabilizes pronto!

Well, I have some bills to pay online, so will BBL.

hedgie said...

Storming....may have to shut down...will see how long I can last on battery.

hedgie said...

Lolly, your trip sounds like fun!
But WOW, can't believe that you aren't going to cook for TG!! Hope you won't be disappointed.

MONSOON!!

hedgie said...

Okay, Lori---I figured that that was what the tooth was for, but no word that the guy has handed that over. And, of course, the majority of teeth would be useless, cause ONLY research bears would have DNA on file. But how many non-research bears are related to research bears? That would CONFUSE things , wouldn't it?
Yes, Lynn has talked to the hunter again and he admitted that it was Hope. If he is sure, then he must have seen Lily and Faith, too, in order to KNOW.

Power just went out.....but then back on. Now to wait for modem to reset.

hedgie said...

Lightning just struck SOMETHING very close by! Just about jumped out of my skin....and scared Liesl, too! Sure praying that it wasn't a house.

hedgie said...

What a crack it was------don't recall ever hearing one that "sharp" before.

JudyEddy said...

SHIRLEY That would scare me also Did you let him know and I wonder if that is truley allowed??

OHHH so sweet doggie kisses for her Did they figure out what the problem was or just virus?

WOW everyone must have been busy today not as many comment to read only about 27 comments since I left from lunch

wvgal_dana said...

Back with thunder and two ants running all around the screen on Decorah. Both Mom and Dad eagles were in a little bit ago.

So Happy and Glad that Liesl is HOME with MOMMY and she is better ( :

Sharon I already have prayers going for Kris. Now I've written on prayer sheet about Ron..prayers for him and his family. Praying they both get better.

Shirley glad you brought you bowling shoes where you did. You don't need bad service at a store.

Lolly sounds like the train ride will be great. Then the whole family in Colorado for Thanksgiving Dinner......have fun!!!

wvgal_dana said...

Hoping Tracey can help the little squirrel.

I am not sure how much I believe in this guy that shot Hope. I think there should be a fine!! Oh hell just put the SOB in prison!!!!! grrrrrr

wvgal_dana said...

Please everyone no matter where you live. When going to your car LOOK AROUND see if anyone is around you. This is a link in blue to an article in our newspaper

WOMAN CARJACKED, DRIVEN TO BANK TO GET MONEY OUT OF HER ATM, WITH HER 4 YEAR OLD IN THE BACK SEAT

wvgal_dana said...

When I went by the Bank today. Cause I didn't know about this. There were news people all over it. So I went to another Bank. This Bank he made her drive too is not far from J.C. Penney's where he carjacked her.

stronghunter said...

Judy, I did not have to tell him he had scared me. It was obvious. It was a very long time ago. Rus is 40 years old now.

wvgal_dana said...

I do hear geese at the Decorah site.

stronghunter said...

My bowling shoes are white. I left them in the car as I want to go practice tomorrow and will need to take them along.

Hoda said...

I pretty much thought HOPE was gone and it is sad.

Welcome home LIESL and I am glad you are better.

LYNN also glad that your mammo went well...over three hundred dollars worth of medictaion for LIESL sounds steep, maybe the vet bill is included in that?
I hope so.

LORI I look forward to you posting some pictures when the colours change back east. I used to like that very much when I lived there.

Yoga class was very good and there was a good experience of the body releasing the tight spots, more limber after the hour and half.

Somehow my experience of eating out repeats itself, the following day I always feel hungry, and so maybe I should go do something about lunch.

Lori O. said...

LYNN, I think they would be able to keep track bear families by using the teeth, and see how the generations travel because they would be able to link all the DNA...at least families of bears they have on file from being turned in in the past. Maybe they see how many are fathered by a certain bear, but it's questions they won't know the answers to until they get the DNA from the tooth.

JudyEddy said...

I was googling for the red panda cam and cam aross this read panda cam at the Knoxville zoo so cute

JudyE, I know that the helicopter stunt is illegal....at least for about the last 30 yrs!! He was lucky he didn't get that pilot arrested!!!!

hedgie said...

Oh, yes, Hoda...the ENTIRE bill was $315.99! Always did say that I have spent far more on vet bills than I ever did on pediatrician bills!

Lynne2 said...

From Lily's page on FB.....

We never received confirmation from the MN DNR, but early this morning we heard directly from the hunter who killed Hope. We appreciate him contacting us. This is what we know.

Hope was killed on the evening of Friday the 16th. She came into his bait site alone and the hunter had no clue it was Hope. The hunter is known to us and has cooperated with us in the past. He would never shoot a collared bear and would not have deliberately shot Hope. He also is not a member of the ‘Bounty’ page and has never posted there.

There has been some confusion due to the fact we posted on Sept 17th that the family was fine. We, in fact, did not see Hope or Faith on the 17th. Sue found Lily alone and changed her GPS. Lily walked away grunting and tongue-clicking. We assumed Hope and Faith were together nearby (which is often the case) and Lily was going to them. We had no reason to believe otherwise. Sorry for any confusion this caused.

Please respect our desire to keep the hunter’s name confidential. Attacks on him or hunters in general will only serve to undermine our potential for future research and education. We will provide another update later today with additional information.

Please be kind and supportive to each other as we all work through this.

I think that the final diagnosis (dx) is viral, but that her intestine was so irritated that possibly a bacterial infection COULD set in, hence the antibiotics.

wvgal_dana said...

Oh my why does our still and live cams have to be down again this year?????? I miss them so much. I'm sure other people have checked to see if the NCTC Eagle cams are working. Only to find the same dissapointment as us. Wonder if more monies is needed to fix them?
Does anyone know the answer to that question???

Lynne2 said...

My heart is shattered, have cried several times today when I think of Hope. I believe what they say about the Hunter but I just can not stand the thought that he used a bait station. He also had to know he was in Hope's territory.

Lynne, great idea. I like your avatar. Mine is one of my favorite pictures of Lily and Hope.

Lori O. said...

Nice page, LOLLY. Thanks for the link.
Hope you found beautiful tulip bulbs today.

LYNNE, thanks for passing along the info on the hunter. I'm sure this is very hard for you, especially after having seen Hope being born.

Thanks for the link Lolly.

Lori, many of us where there when she was born! It was AMAZING! I know most of us have pictures on our blogs.

Jack and I shopped today for Joseph's birthday present. He is 11 on Oct. 18, just after we return from our trip. We have a new basketball goal in the garage and I have ordered a new jacket for him....a NY Giants jacket. Shudder! However, that is his team. His daddy has brain washed him.

Lolly said...

I was there....watching Lily in labor!! Very eventful night!

Lori, found bulbs at Lowes. Bought 2 bags of 40 for myself and one bag for Laurel.

Lynne2 said...

Lori, on my blog, click 2010 and then January. The pictures are there. Of course they are on the FB Lily page as well!

Lynne2 said...

THE GIANTS.....UGH.

Well, I need to get busy doing some things around here (loosely translated, SBs to deal with and dogs to feed and laundry to fold) as I'd like to get to sleep at a decent hour tonight....

Lynne2 said...

well. I have just been told off by 2 hummingbirds. Seems the feeder was empty, and I was on my way to get it when the 2 decided I should be scolded for not having it ready fast enough. So I was compelled to toy with them by holding the feeder myself and daring them to come! They didn't. I just got told off some more.

Lynne2 said...

I really thought they were gone, but I've seen 2 every morning and evening. Sept 29 was the last time I saw one last year.

hedgie said...

How sad.....Andy Rooney's final 60-minutes end-piece will be this coming Sunday evening. I've always loved this guy! He is 92, and joined CBS in 1949....same age as my Mom and worked for same employer since the year I was born!!! No wonder I like the ol' curmuddgeon!!!! They didn't say IF he is totally retiring or not!

hedgie said...

Tues. night TV line-up, Jo!!!

wvgal_dana said...

Sorry it still doesn't make sense to me. Talking with many who hunt black bear. Why would you want to kill a "yearly". Most hunters want the largest bear they can shoot. I still question the guys reasoning for shooting a yearly?? :(

Hope she responds super-well to treatment, Lynn

Lynne
thank you for posting the information at 5:41 pm from Lily's FB page...have to appreciate that the hunter reached out and made contact...not that it makes this any easier to bear

Hoda said...

LYNN Andy Rooney will not fully retire...he will have periodic segments on 60 minutes according to Huffington Post and CBS.

I did not see Hope born and I am sad at her death. I do not hunt myself nor do I eat game meat but there was a period on my life when I lived up north where game meat was necessary to see me through the winter...no stores where I lived and the villagers used to hunt and distribute the meat in the village so everyone had enough. I was given a White Owl once for a meal!!! I had no idea they were on the endangered species list, so I feel awful about that. I ate bear and moose and deer and elk and seal and whale, also rabbit and muskrat!!! and a variety of wild birds too many to be named...I regret the White Owl the most. There are people who live off the land and that is their way.
I AM SORRY ABOUT HOPE BECAUSE WE KNEW HER.

magpie said...

my co-worker's dog Harley is going to be home with his "parents" tonight also....spent the night at a specialist vet in Frederick Md...
price tag on this treatment series is quite high, blood transfusions would be extremely costly, and would be effective for about three days
Treatment will include, mostly medications now, and careful monitoring that he does not get bruised up or scuffed up which could lead to some bleeding

Thank you for your Prayers...
He is not quite 5 years old

Margy, engine light is on. Took to 2 different mechanics to see why (they don't charge to hook up the thingamaji) and turns out that neither could get a reading. Could be a loose wire, or need a new dohicky to hook up the thingamajig. Without it, can't tell what the problem is. So, now I have to spend my only morning off going down there to get it looked at by the dealer.

so, not THE Sycamore Palace, but leaves just like those !

magpie said...

Lynne -
I'm sure you have done the usual things, like check the gas cap...make sure it's on tight...
mine did that for a looong time, it was the low fuel sensor thingy that was bad....
sometimes it would stop after 3 days, and sometimes after I added dry gas to it
But that thumping thing you described, well, not sure about that, maybe just needs some transmission fluid or a new filter.
That's the extent of my Power Puff Mechanics suggestions

Hi,

Yes, so much was learned from Hope's birth. Remember that it was thought mother bears sleep through the birth process, but Lily and Hope showed us it's not true.

And I had never heard all of those sounds the little cub makes . . . cries, squeals, purrs.

Well, Mr Mouse is either behind the piano or went down the steps into the basement.

I really need to catch him...I'm not scared of mice, but he startles me when he starts running around....plus he'll chew on stuff....

paula eagleholic said...

JudyE, your sunset pic was very pretty tonight! I love sunsets.

stronghunter said...

Good night. Six thirty will come too soon.

I am planning to take my new shoes and myself to the bowling alley tomorrow and do some practicing. Hunter said, "You're going without me?" This is the same kid who said he would not go bowling again. Yep. I am going alone. Really cannot improve my own game if I have to throw gutter balls to keep Hunter happy.

Tomorrow is my time for myself. At least a couple of hours.

have fun tomorrow SHirley, but I really think that PLAID shoes would have been AWESOME!

Hoda said...

YE I was telling you how graceful the egret was and asked if you took the picture today...

GO NICK GO!!! It is very exciting household you live in PAULA but I think MR. MOUSE has to go...

paula eagleholic said...

Have fun, Shirley!

Lolly said...

Night Lynne! I agree with you...plaid shoes would have been neat!

hedgie said...

Good shows and good lap time with my girl!

Margy, sorry about you still being "on the witness list." :(
AND about the noise and the leak. I think it's time for some REAL complaining!

Hoda, don't know how you could stand to eat that stuff. Think I would have eaten lots of tuna and eggs! UGH!

Forgot to say, Margy, that I had eyes to the skies on Dry Run but no sign of an eagle. And when I put my eyes back down, saw the ex standing in his mom's driveway. HE, BTW, reached SS age yesterday.

I saw the remains of a rather large pheasant on road leading to my development today. Wonder if it got hit, or if a wolf or coyote got it.

Dana, we HAVE been calling Hope a yearling correctly.

hedgie said...

Judie, you sure were in and out FAST! Hope your day at the schoolhouse wasn't too tiring!

Paula.....do you think you have MORE than one mouse??

Lolly said...

I am not "afraid" of mice but I certainly do not like them and I do not like to be startled by them. Funny story...have not had a mouse for years but way back about 30 years ago one day when Laurel and I got home from school there was a mouse. We screamed! lol And, climbed on the furniture, and I called Jack 30 or so miles away! Too funny! Cat caught the mouse under the sofa and only the cat came out. We were grossed out!

hedgie said...

Paula, did we know that you play?? Cool. I do, too....but just for myself!
Behind a piano would be a good hidey hole for a mousie!

Hoda said...

My last post was for JUDYE at the start.

I liked the concept of holding the LOVE we have for HOPE so I chose this symbol to join in with the tribute for the rest of the week.

hedgie said...

Leaves are beginning to change colors here, too. :(

hedgie said...

Oh-oh....I have a very bad feeling about that lightning stike....it sounded metallic....and I have NO outside front lighting. I have a feeling it hit my post light which is connected to my front floods and my eight patio lights that line the front mulch bed. HELP!!!!

Hoda said...

LYNN Tuna and eggs were not available. We burried the eggs in the sand to keep them fresh for as long as we could. Remember no food came in, in the early years, for ten months of the year. Also the hunters were making an offering and it would have been an insult to their way of life to reject the offering. I would not do it now but it is what was the right thing to do then.
Even around the Nelson area there are those who live off the land and do not buy meat from the store because they are injected with hormones...I am not defending the hunters I am just presenting my experience with it.

hedgie said...

Hoda, was it the Brown Marmorated SB or just a regular, everyday, ordinary SB????? I pray that it was the latter....they are not destructive nor INFESTIOUS, if there is such a word!

Hoda said...

LYNN SAY MORE about the lightning strike are you and your property OK?

I do not know what kind of a stink bug it was!!! SORRY I will look closer if I see one again.

Hoda said...

Stink bug that I saw STINK BUG PICTURE

I hope this link works.

hedgie said...

Hoda, understand the situation you were in. Difficult, to say the least. When in Rome, as they say.....I have had to try various game meats....and could not stomach any of them. Maybe it was psychological!

Shirley, have a good practice session!

Lolly, I will always carry a mental image of a former nurse co-hort jumping into the whirlpool tub when she saw a mouse, and the sweeper (janitor), a woman at the time (it was later Bill's job!) chasing the mouse with a broom!!! So glad I wasn't there to see it in person....I would have been ROFL!

Lolly said...

Trees are changing here too....brown as in dead! Big headline in the paper yesterday was about the tremendous number of dying trees. We have lost one tree and certainly hope that is all! And, just on the weather, looks like more triple digit temps coming up! Good grief!!

Heading to the shower and then to bed. Have really been down today. Too much depressing news. However, good news about Liesl. Certainly hope she continues to do well.

Night all! Sweet dreams!

Lolly said...

Lynn...Laurel and I have laughed many a time over the scene and, of course, Jack has not let us forget it.

Oh, and Jack says "Honk if you hate loosing to the COWBOYS!☺

Hoda said...

In LOLLY'S TEXAS there are eight new fires and five old ones!!! I checked when I read her entry of triple digit temperatures for tomorrow.Sorry LOLLY...

hedgie said...

Good night to all you dear friends. Prayers for all. RIP, sweet Hope. We will never forget you.

I have finished the news after watching the 3 shows on TV which were enjoyable.

I'm back.....Hoda, I had posted about the lightning strike being SUCH a loud crack at 4:43. Never heard one before that sounded quite like it.

I think you saw a regualr SB. Here's a site with pics of the Marmorated:
BAD BUG!

Lynn, I don't think there is more than one mouse...have 3 traps out...we'll see what happens.

Hi, Everyone,
Have managed to get myself caught up here.

Shirley, glad you were able to find some bowling shoes, and glad you bought them where you did. Happy practice time tomorrow!

Lynn, thanks for the info about Andy Rooney. Now have that program set to record on Sunday. Prayers continue for Liesl. How is she doing? Emma sends her best wishes, too.
Margy, prayers continue nonstop for Harley and his parents. There's NO PLACE like home!
Prayers, too, for Ron & Kris, Linda, Kay, GG, and Diann. Can't forget about Bobby, LeRoy, & Andie kitty, either!
Hoda, I completely understand how you feel. I myself have eaten Canada Goose, rabbit, and buffalo as a child. I don't object to hunting when it's necessary to survive, and nothing goes to waste. Hunting just for "sport," and hunting sub-adult animals I DO have a major problem with, though. Prayers for Lynn Rogers, Sue, and their co-workers.
Lynn, praying for a legion of angels to watch over your place until your outside lights can be fixed!

Hoda said...

LYNN I think we posted a picture of the same kind of a stink bug...I hope I do not see it again.

Ms Bookworm said...

I'm pretty tired tonight, so think I'll call it a day. Prayers have been said for everyone, and for the many creatures that need prayer, too. Making sure the porch light is on. Enabling both security systems. Sleep well, everyone. God bless, and goodnight. Love all of you! R.I.P., dear Hope. You will NEVER be forgotten! (Prayers for Lily & Faith)

Goood Morning HODA! It's always so nice to see your greeting. Thank you. ♥
Checking in but reading posts...back I go.

Wish to share my thought with you all. In accepting the death of Hope, I prefer to pretend she is busy taking care of Jason. My way of coping, I guess.

DanaMo said...

Whose up? Anyone?

Good morning to my eagle friends. Any word on when the cam will be back up?

Lori O. said...

Judie, there's nothing wrong with your way of coping. I rather like your Hope & Jason scenario. We all have our own ways for our own reasons.
(Big Hug)

Lori O. said...

Good Morning DanaMO! At last check about an hour ago, both cams were still out/down.

NatureNut said...

Good Morning Everyone! Altho, it is somewhat painful. I agree with your Bear comment Judie. I amended my text on my Animal Memory pic on Blog in early AM. The other night on the Update, they had links for different videos. One I saw was very happy----one of the tiny sibling cubs was "attached like Velcro" to Hope's head! She moved all around & cub stayed there! ☺ That's something I want to remember (so I can function)

NatureNut said...

Sharon, prayers for Kris and Ron.
Lynn, so glad Liesl is on the mend.
BTW, had similar "explosion" sound at Park yesterday, 2 PM. Was outside & it was only cloudy, when BANG!Didn't know what happened until went inside. No lights, burgler alarm screaming.Could not believe phone was still working, but got the Pepco hotline, just in time to report before it went dead, too. Our naturalist, Stephanie, took a little hike and discovered a dead tree had fallen & hit lines. Must have triggered a transformer. Some staff members were on a pontoon boat ride with a NOAA group and heard it, too!

DanaMo said...

yup, I checked too, still down. boo hoo.

Well it's Wednesday. Class night. The start of presentations. I hope it ends early. My presentation is in 2 weeks. Aric come home in 1 week! Yipee!

It feels like this week is going slow. Kids were out of control yesterday, don't know what the deal was!

Lori O. said...

LORETTA, so nice to have your here early!

I loved the great egret pics on your blog!

Lori O. said...

This does seem like a super slow week, DanaMO. I think it's because we're not getting a lot of sun, just gray days, which doesn't help our solar still camera!

DanaMo said...

yeah...to say I'm tired of the gray and rain is an understatement!

And the dark. I can't run because it's still dark and it's 6:07. I would never have time to get my run in and get ready for school. I miss it, and I think Boomer does too!

NatureNut said...

Hi, Lori and other Earlybirds! Since I got not much sleep Mon. Night, I konked out shortly after dinner & awoke at about 3:30AM!!!!I'll probably be tired if I don't get a short nap before work! I don't go early today.
Glad you liked the egrets. They were much closer due to having a "beach". I never get good pics from out there!
Wasn't anything around yesterday.

Lori O. said...

What an awesome job you have, Loretta!

Lori O. said...

LORETTA, are all groundhogs as chubby as the one you got a pic of the other day? I noticed DanaWV said the same thing I did about having a chubby GH at home. I know the one at my house is adorable!
