Some think she has already had one cub. Who knows for sure, but she is acting different.

Jo, I was so excited to be watching at the right time. She still seems to be in labor so mayb another is on the way.
I am concerned with the 1st one since it was such a short squeal.

We need to remember that Lily has gone thru this before when she birthed Hope

Egg Laying - don't think it will come on Russ' b-day. They could make it 23rd-Hubby's b-day - They have missed the winter moon..
Last year we had Feb eggs laid & snow storms.. But the 31st was known as 'likely' With all those dates - any date will be a good guess.

aha, had the WE nest on as well. No sightings of Wray and K51 on the nest. K01 has visited a couple of times in the very early morning. I am guessing that Wray and K51 will settle down somewhere else. Dr Sharpe did report that he saw both of them last week when he was doing those cam adjustments, but they were not together. Poor K01...I think he lost his gal.
To clarify, Dr S saw Wray and K01, but they were not together.

Was so excited about the cub(s) being born this afternoon. Got really lucky as I just had the cam up while reading. Watched and could only tell when the first arrived. My memory is that as soon as Hope was born last year I heard her squeal and begin nursing. I see reports of two but am still not sure. Anyone know if it really is two cubs? Quiet now. Need to check again quickly before dinner. Late dinner tonight.

Graveyard shift might have something to do with the old custom in deep south where a bell was placed outside the grave -- string to the bell was buried inside the casket -- the not dead corpse would pull the string, ring the bell, be resurrected by grave watchers. Of course, if the person were really dead the bell would not ring -- boring graveyard shift.

Heard some low squealy sounds, some like puppy Oww, Wow sounds & cries & a bee-like humming.
The earphones mute the raspy noises from the bear cam! I didn't know it would make such a difference.
Lily's soft rumbling purr is very relaxing to hear.
There are recordings of babbling brooks and probably a lot of nature's sounds to listen to and relax.
There should be one of hibernating bears.

I just read the update on the new PH nest. What a beautiful setting for it in that tree with the red berries. It's just beautiful.
And they say they will try to get a cam there. It's really a pretty nest too.

I like the nest at nctc. It looks solid. Lib and Belle put up a lot of fuss about those sticks, getting them in the right places. Lib is just a good builder...and whaler.

Jess has struggled with grades since 6th.....Jenn has always been an honor roll student.....now in 10th and 7th.....they have been told over and over to call me if they are having trouble with any homework and I will try to help over the phone. IMHO, I don't think they get enough sleep to begin with......and Jess is TOO connected to the darn cell.....well, finally they are taking it away.......
Have made up my mind that if either does not qualify for college or trade school of SOME kind, the pre-paid tuition accounts I have for them will NOT be given for anything else. I'll keep it for my old age.
