Good morning, Jo and all momsters and dadster Red!! So, you are a city slicker now? Well, I am sure you can find nature somewhere in the city.

Need to go back and see how Andy cooked the roast.

Lolly said...

Ahhhh Good morning Shirley and Lynn! Good to see you this morning!

Firebirds

Firebirds is a chain. I had the fillet mignon and a baked potato.

Lolly said...

So jealous of the picture Wanda "painted" this morning of her weather. I am at 83 and headed back up to 100. Groan! No let up yet in our weather.

Jack and I are only 5 weeks away from our New England trip. After the trip this coming weekend, we are going to start planning that trip. We have reservations made but we are going to work on menu planning (yes, we eat well) and clothes to pack. Also, have to work on what to do with the plants etc while we are gone. 5 to 6 weeks! Yikes!

Lolly said...

It will be hard to pack fall and cold weather clothes while it is still so hot here.

I also am now in the planning stage of Jacob's birthday cake. He wants a Batman cake. Rather than buying a Wilton cake pan, I am thinking of buying a small Batman figure to put on a cake. Laurel was buying invitations yesterday, so now I know the color she is going to use.

stronghunter said...

Wanda asked about Firebirds. I just looked again. It's a small chain at this point, with a home office in Charlotte. It was very nice. I think they have very tempting presentations on their website. Makes me hungry. I did bring home some leftover steak and potato that will make my lunch today. I'll probably add a few slices of tomato from my trip to the farmers' market yesterday.

hedgie said...

A few more sprinkles and now sun is trying to come out. Very humid!!

stronghunter said...

New England should be really refreshing for you, Lolly.

stronghunter said...

I spent a summer at Silver Bay on Lake George when I was in college. It was a short drive to Vermont. Somewhere I have a picture we took of the trees that were already turning in late August when we were getting ready to come back home.

stronghunter said...

Lynn, we had your 123 drops of rain this morning. I was watering the butterfly bush and figured it was just as well that I let the hose keep going.

hedgie said...

Oh-ho!! CBS Sunday Morning just did a piece on caskets...in Ghana, there's one that is an EAGLE!!

Lolly said...

Oh, I hope so, Shirley. We are getting so anxious to leave! Would leave earlier, but since Open House is a week later this year, we moved our trip back a week. We are heading straight to New Hampshire first. Will spend over a week there. We will do day trips into Vermont. Then over to Maine and Acadia. We will set up for over a week there, again doing day trip out and about. Have a new book "Roadfood". "The coast to coast guide to 500 of the best barbecue joints, lobster shacks, ice cream parlors, highway diners and much more." LOL We really do not eat out much, however while in Maine we are searching for lobster shacks!

hedgie said...

That's a very good-sounding menu at Firebirds, Shirley---never heard of it before.

Mema Jo said...

Hello everyone.

Lynn - Eagle Casket - Do you need to spread your arms in order to fit into it?

Shirley their menu is making me hungry!

hedgie said...

Red, hope you get settled soon! Use a night light until you get used to the new layout so you don't stub a toe or trip and fall!
Hoping that you and the Mrs. will be content in your new home.

Lolly said...

Yes, a very good sounding menu. Now I am getting hungry! Do you get Hatch peppers over that way? Well, New Mexico Hatch peppers are now in season and in the grocery stores. Yummy! We bought a huge batch and Jack roasted them yesterday to peel and then freeze. We had them in our hamburgers last night. Yummy!

Mema Jo said...

It is so humid even with some rain coming down - just sprinkles. Nope - no way it is a market day for me. I am know as the Whizzer!

stronghunter said...

I am not familiar with hatch peppers, Lolly.

Lolly said...

LOL Jo! Spread your arms! Thanks for my first good laugh of the day.

Okay, time for me to vamoose. Need to eat a bite and get ready for church.

Have a great Lord's Day! And, I will see you later, Gators!

stronghunter said...

Hi Red,

Congratulations on your new home. I hope you get settled in easily and quickly.

Judie said...

Good morning, everyone.

Need to try to read yesterday's comings and goings.

I went to a farmer's market yesterday morning. Side-effects of medications kicked in, felt sick, so came home, went to bed, stayed there until dinner, went back to bed. Not at all happy with the meds. May decide to just stop taking them. Don't mean to whine. Just explaining why I disappeared.

Hope everyone has a nice day. Rainy this morning and overcast,77º.

Back to bed.

Lolly said...

I figured Hatch peppers are pretty much a southwest thing. Sorry!

And, Jo, if getting lost on the split is your "greatest" fear, then you have it made in the shade!
There are too many of us on here to ever loose you! ☺

Mema Jo said...

Lolly - now that your trip is being planned - I am getting excited about the Open House.

It is going to be quite a reunion!

Mema Jo said...

Lily the Black Bear Lily and Hope were surprise visitors to the research field station this morning. Lily weighed 223 lbs but Hope was not comfortable approaching the scale. -- SM

Mema Jo said...

Thanks Lolly!

Mema Jo said...

Lolly - What's going on with Annie while you are gone?

Mema Jo said...

Lynn - I would love to stand right in the path of the migrating monarchs! Now that would take your breath away!

paula eagleholic said...

Judy, sorry the new meds are making you sick. Maybe time to call the Dr.

hedgie said...

LOL, Jo...no, but wings fold in before burial!!

hedgie said...

Oh, Judie, so sorry you are feeling so puny. Please call the doctor...or at least the pharmacist and discuss the effects you are experiencing. :( Please feel better.

I've never heard of hatch peppers, either.

Jo...whizzer??? Are you sure?? How about wheezer?!

Mema Jo said...

Lynn - you caught me!

I was just about to ask if anyone knew I was a Whizzer? But I thought I would just let it go and not tell everyone that I meant wheezer! You know me to well!

Mema Jo said...

I think I know what it is like to try to get in touch with a military doc over the weekend.
Call the pharmacist today and get
the doc tomorrow.........
I really hope you get those meds
regulated.

hedgie said...

Somebody bought a Powerball ticket at a local outlet (Mountaineer Rcs at Kelly Island Rd.) and won the $79M Powerball............argh!!! Must be nice!

hedgie said...

Make that Rocs.

stronghunter said...

Judie, if you are feeling so ill you need to go to bed, you certainly need to call someone--doctor, pharmacist, somebody.

Jo, I like to think of you as a whizzer. Just whizzing here and whizzing there.

I'm getting excited about open house, too.

wvgal_dana said...

Good Sunday Morning in Eagleland to Everyone.

Andy braeburn apples white wine about an inch and a half you can add sweet onions and bacon if want to pork roast. Sounds so good.

Andy thanks for that thumbprint-scanner maybe one of these days my eyes will return to normal and we can remove that part of our security (SMILE) ty.

Lynn-hedgie love that you call and Myrtle comes a crawling for her food. You got that gal spoiled. lol

Oh the correct Mr. Bill (RED)is back on the blog. I am surprised you say you moved. Thought you wasn't going to have
too. Sad for you too cause I know what that moved leaves behind. How you have some nature around the new house. Cause that is some of what you would miss about the other house. I sure other things too. HAPPY you stopped by here !!!COME BACK AGAIN YOU ARE MISSED!!

stronghunter said...

Ahh, to win the lottery. But I have to buy a ticket first.

wvgal_dana said...

Lolly you have the right to be ALL excited. I AM too for you!!! Can't wait to see those beautiful pictures. I know you will share them with us. So then I might feel like I took a trip there too. lol

Shirley is teasing us with that Firebird link hee hee

wvgal_dana said...

JUDIE I am sorry the meds hit you like that. It makes it so miserable when you need the medication and it reacts like that.
:(

wvgal_dana said...

Mema Jo you stand in the path of the migrating butterflies and I'll stand in the path of the hummingbirds. We can share our experience. (I might wear a hat)

Mema Jo said...

Dana - you want to call Nilla and ask her to check her tickets from the lotto

You just never know!

wvgal_dana said...

Maybe the ticket winner is our Nilla. She lives out that way. So does almost the entire family. Just kidding about that. Maybe one of her family members won.

NILLA (JANET) DID YOU WIN THE LOTTERY???????

wvgal_dana said...

Can't Mema Jo tried calling her the other day. Could not get through. So when Mom and me (hope that is right) went to Ryan's. I ask Jazzy's Mom. She said something not right about the phone.

hedgie said...

The grizzly that killed the caretaker was euthanized yesterday....he was just being a bear. :(

wvgal_dana said...

Can't you just see her holding that check and that smile of hers in the newspaper YEAH!!!

Mema Jo said...

I am so sorry to hear about that bear, Lynn. Dr Rogers comment about bears
in captivity being different from bears in the wild........ Doesn't seem right. Guess no one was there to care for him or care about him.

wvgal_dana said...

Darn I was hoping that wasn't going to happen. Although all the time knowing that is what they would have to do. grrr

Lynn-Hedgie read your comment about why you are going into the court room. Yes I do remember about the 94 dogs. That trailer at one time was a "very nice trailer". Sets on a nice spot too. Looked at it once to buy it. Guess this guy did and ruined it.

wvgal_dana said...

DOES ANYONE HAVE THE LIVE CAM-LIVE? Mine looks like nothing is moving?

wvgal_dana said...

Police uncovered two marijuana fields in BC near Canadian border. 13 bears freely guarding the crop. Two marijuana fields 23 hundred plants. The bears did not attack the police.
They was not afraid of humans.
One Policeman through a stick
at one bear and the bear did
not take off. Just picked up
the stick. Guess the pop growers
thought neighbors hearing of
all those bears. Would not
come near their property
or steal their crop.

hedgie said...

Cam appears to be frozen, Dana. Still picture and counter isn't counting. Drat. Wonder what that's all about?
Looks like a turtle shell has been turned upside down in center of nest.

Dana, I didn't know that trailer had been there before. I thught he put it there when he moved here from Ohio---guess I misread the story.

Mema Jo said...

My live feed is up/running.
Breezy at the nest.

My still cam is also up/running
It is very colorful
The counter is ok

Mema Jo said...

Lynn - I would love to be there with you when you call Myrtle to see her come crawling out to meet you.

I do have the sound of the wind blowing on the live feed

hedgie said...

Jo, Myrtle doesn't come out when I call very often. Just comes to me when I see her out and then call her name!!

ROFL---sheep running in road almost in town (Warm Springs Ave. for you locals!) Hope they catch it before it gets out in to real traffic.

OK---rebooted and now cam is okay. Argh! Such a pain.

wvgal_dana said...

Did you all do any upgrade on Adobe? I'll have to try reboot too then Lynn.

Oh NO Mr. whoever's sheep they are.
That makes for a wool mess in traffic.

Mema Jo said...

Dana If you have the message across the screen about upgrading Adobe Flash Player - go ahead & do that
BUT reboot first.......

wvgal_dana said...

What are you having Mema Jo for lunch???

wvgal_dana said...

Not only do I need the "spell checker". I need to find "a grammar checker" lol Police officer threw not through a stick at the bear. Lordy Lordy me

wvgal_dana said...

Lynn-Hedgie do you have dark clouds back your way. I got them here.

wvgal_dana said...

I was just closing down things. So I could re-boot for the live cam. When I clicked on it at the bottom toolbar. It came up with an arrow. Hit the arrow got a commerical now the live feed with SOUND - Windy up here.

Mema Jo said...

Dana: I had 3 spoonfuls of chicken salad, 3 slices of ham, 1 cube of cheese ... I did cheat on the carbs and had 2 whole wheat crackers.
MY scales indicates I have almost hit a 10 lbs loss. I can feel it but I sure can't see it yet unless it is in my wrists and ankles! lol

Mema Jo said...

Now it is time for feet to go up for a short length of time......

bbl

hedgie said...

My cam shut down again. But refreshed and it's okay now.

Way to go, Jo---10#. I lost another inch in heighth, for a total of 5.......guess I need to start dieting now, too.

Lolly said...

Really, Lynn? You have "settled" 5 inches? Wow! That is a lot! I have not lost any. Still between 5'8" and 5'9". At a women's retreat someone said surely I had lost some height. We measured...nope, still as tall as I was at 14. ☺

Lolly said...

Wish I weighed what I did at 14. LOL

Lolly said...

Judie, so sorry you are feeling so down and out! Not good!

hedgie said...

Yep, Lolly, 5'9" to 5'4"...in about 5 yrs. UGH! Hated being tall when I was a kid, and now wishing I was again.

Lolly said...

OMG, Lynn. That is like being a different person! LOL However, now you can find slacks the right length.

wvgal_dana said...

Whenever my daughter see's me "Mom you've gotten shorter". Still HAPPY, YAPPY when I see her. lol

Lolly said...

Jo, Annie will be going to "camp". We board her at Mesquite Flats kennel. Hate to leave her that long and it is expensive, but we have no other choice....except NOT travel. They are very good though at that kennel and we know she will be well taken care of.

movin said...

Hahaha. Good morning, good morning!!

I've been up and down this morning, opened this fairly early but never finished my comment..

It's already nearly 80°, heading for 86. And it looks like we are in for at least a week of 85°-90°.

Believe it or not, some people around the area are not happy with any lower temps.

C(°Ù¿°)D Jim

Lolly said...

Well, Jim, I certainly can not understand not liking lower temps. Maybe those folks should move to Texas.

Well, if I am going to accomplish anything today I best get with it. Time to mop floors!!!

Have you all read the latest update on Mason's blog?? New one today..

Everyone have a great day, talk to you later.

C(°Ù¿°)D Jim

hedgie said...

Yep, Lolly...no more high-water pants!!!
Hi, Jim! Try to stay cool!

stronghunter said...

Lolly, I have always been interested in the way Kathryn's in-laws handle the cat issue. They take four cats with them when they travel down to Maggie Valley for the summer. I do not know how the kitties handle the road trip.

Lolly said...

Shirley, we have a 23 ft trailer. Do not think I want to travel with a cat box in the trailer. Annie has never liked the car either, she yowls! I mean YOWLS! Do not think we could take that for 5 weeks.

Lolly said...

She will be okay at the kennel. She will have a lot of room to move around. Several levels to explore. She sleeps alot as it is. She will have her carrier to curl up in. Also, the cats are far from the dogs, so that will not upset her. She just wont get her daily back rub and scratching that she likes so well, or get to go outside. She will make up for all that when we return.

stronghunter said...

I don't think I would want to take George on such a trip, either. They live all summer in a fifth-wheel trailer. I would probably be ripping my hair out if I had 4 cats with me in that small space. They seem to be fine with it.

stronghunter said...

As cute as Annie is, I'll bet someone there gives her some love while she's at the kennel, Lolly.

stronghunter said...

If I worked there, I would have to pat Annie every day!

stronghunter said...

The people at my vet's used to sing "George of the Jungle" when he had to be hospitalized for several days at a time.

wvgal_dana said...

When we went to Florida in a 27ft Motor home. We took the cat-she took the top. I open the windows some and she would just lay at the screens looking out. We had no problem with her kitty pan. Worked really well.
The 3 dogs were floor level of course.
It was the best vacation Ed and me took. Always having his dogs with him met the most.
If we decided to go in a resturant. Just let the air on for them. Just like Wanda and Gene did for GG (NO I'M NOT PUTTING GG IN A GROUP WITH ANIMALS). Anyhow it was the perfect way to travel and we would have liked to have done more.

hedgie said...

Grrr....this web page stuff is driving me crazy. It won't do what I want it to do!!!!

hedgie said...

We lived in 2 campers (27ft.& 18ft.) with 2 cats and a dog for 10 mos. while we were building our house. (Other house sold much faster than expected!) IT was a bit nerve-wracking at times, but not too bad. Winter was cozy. Luckily house was enclosed and AC working before it got too hot. We moved in in Aug. Worst things in the campers were the odors: when dog would get SO scared by a storm, or when she passed gas; in the one the kids slept in, one of the cats came in and threw up a reeking mouse. YUCK!

Mema Jo said...

I'm sure Annie will do great!
We recently took our 2 cats in their carriers with us to OC - about 3 hr drive. The were very anxious and Marvin did YOWL for awhile and then they both went to sleep. Our house is laid out like our home here..out of the carrier they both headed for the back bedroom and under the bed. That is what they do up here when the vacuum runs! They are used to being outside and inside - but down home they need to be just inside. They were both getting antsy when we hit 10 days. Now sure I'll take them again

wvgal_dana said...

Sorry the making of the website is driving you nuts Hedgie. Maybe walk away and do something else. You might come back and it works great then. Hoping Hoping Hoping it does....hugs sounds like you need one.

Mema Jo that was workable for you and your cats. (:

Loretta the video with the little wren's song was beautiful!

wvgal_dana said...

Hay he can't play the Lottery. Your right Hedgie-Lynn that is unfair. That guy doesn't need the money. Come on Randy share the love=money!!!

Maybe I'll go see him and tell him, "remember that car we brought off your lot". We had to re-do all the work you said you did. Time to PAY UP RANDY!!!

hedgie said...

Dana, didn't know he had a car lot.
Which one??
He bought my SIL's dads' home place back at Sleepy Creek many moons ago.

Okay, I was about to get confused. I was about to think that the Sheriff was advising Margy on medicine. Then I realized she was talking about the chiropractor.

stronghunter said...

Wanda will have to share some pictures of her new kitchen. Not too bad, your refrigerator goes on the blink and you get a new kitchen.

I guess that's the former sheriff.

wvgal_dana said...

Hi Margy----go get some of that MONEY LOL

Lynn-Hedgie you go up Rt. 11 North after you pass Pikeside. On left is fence for airport and on right is a YELLOW HOUSE. It was called "
MEGA AUTO SALES" the paper where we brought it says William Randy Smith Route 4 Box 164 Martinsburg WV. He had his daughter Kathy working there, she had a little girl and Kathy drove the car most of the time; it was her baby. At that time behind the house was a trailer that Randy lived in. Across from the side door of the yellow house heading north on same pavement was the office. Front door face north side of yellow house. Kathy's grandmother lived in the house. I was by there weeks ago maybe even a month. Office is no longer there. I don't know about the trailer.

wvgal_dana said...

Vehicle was purchased and Randy lived in the trailer behind the yellow house Dec 22, 1997.

hedgie said...

You were right, Dana. I left the puter and web page and got dinner ready and ate and cleaned up the kitchen.....went back to it and figured things out and now I'm accomplishing something!!! TY.

stronghunter said...

Thanks for the kind thoughts, Margy. My students come on Wednesday. Open house is tomorrow. My work hours are 11:00-7:00 with a break for lunch. It is nice that they let us go in later since we have to stay until 7:00.

stronghunter said...

Yay, Lynn. Glad you got it figured out.

wvgal_dana said...

Lynn-Hedgie I think back in 1997 Randy was a deputy. Later became Sheriff right?

Have a good night, Margy.

Guess I'll be off to watch some tv too.

BTW, please continue the prayers for my brother-in-law, Charlie, the hip is out of place AGAIN!
The infection has caused the doctor to schedule removal of his hip replacement parts until the infection clears. That's 2 more surgeries. My sister, Judy, is at her wits end. Keep her in your prayers too.

Prayers for all needs/wants and thanks for those answered. Have a good night everyone.

Prayers for Charlie and Judy. I hope he is much better very soon.

Had to move George off the counter top. He was about to fall off backwards. He used to sleep on the tops of the upper cabinets and one day he fell from there and landed on the glassware I had sitting on top of the dishwasher. It was a mess. He doesn't go up there anymore.

Found some premixed frozen buckets of cookies and dog biscuits in the freezer last night....baking some tonight...Yum for me and the dogs!

Oops gotta go watch my show...

Sorry about BIL, Diann, hope they can fix him up soon!

Giving up on the website for today. ARGH! Get one thing set, and something else either disappears or fades into the background. I'm going to sofa.....Army Wives will be on at 10.

Have been out watering plants. Couldn't do it this morning and did not want to do it in the middle of the day so....

Good news on the weather earlier. We are headed to 106 tomorrow but by Tues or Wed we may be through with the 100 degree weather. Only in the 90's then. LOL Sure sounds a lot better!

stronghunter said...

Hope you have better luck tomorrow, Lynn. I remember the frustration I had trying to set up a blog. I still haven't mastered everything. It takes so much time.

Lolly said...

Laurel posted on fb that the boys are in bed and they are ready for school tomorrow. She is having a hard time with Jacob starting kindergarten. Prayers that all three of them have a great day tomorrow and the rest of the school year.

Evening Gang! Been trying to catch up on reading---not all, so if I say or ask something stoopid, that's normal ☺
First, want to wish for prayers for Diann's BIL and sister.
Paula, great to hear son has a car.
How awful that they both had accidents and Thank God no one was injured.
Yes, we got our 20+ - minutes of rain---want more!
See Red joined in today---miss him, but have his Black-eyed pea soup recipe!
Dana, you made a comment awhile back about our birdhouses. Got both the currently shown one and the little red barn from same company online. They were made like that.
Lolly, your upcoming travels are making me want to be a stowaway!☺
When my Uncle and Aunt retired from his job in Manila, they settled in Vermont. Cousin had already started on a house there, as kids were sent to US for college. They had wedding for one girl there in early October! Was magnificent.
Gotta phone the TX child....

stronghunter said...

Lolly, I hope Laurel and the boys all have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Paula, I hope the car works well for Michael.

Season over for AW. Drat. Such a good show.
Best school wishes for all returning this week. My g'girls are ready!
Diann, hope everything improves for your BIL. A late neighbor acquaintance had to have his hip replacement removed due to infection, too. Unfortunately, his liver disease got him before they were able to redo the hip.
Goodnight to all calling it a day.

Hope Judie is feeling better. Glad that Michael got a car; hope John can be as lucky.
Loretta, I'm with you on the rain situation.....NOT ENOUGH!!! Look at poor Pakistan and China....and here we are needing it desperately.

Off the phone! Gee, long distance calls are long!!!!
Guess most are hitting the hay, so Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)

BTW, daughter said it was 100° in Austin. And her hubby leaves tomorrow on business to Brazil!!!Have to have him email us about that weather!

hedgie said...

Guess it's late winter down there, right Loretta? Or do they stay tropical all year??? You can tell....I've never been to S.A.

Glad the article was interesting to you---could not believe 50-100 mi./day!!!! Just seems like a butterfly would be battling to make any headway against the air currents. Wonder how high they fly?

hedgie said...

Okay, parts of Brazil get frost on occasion, but mostly tropical or sub-tropical. Snow rare in one area. And yes, it is winter there now. Some jacket-weather depending on location.

hedgie said...

Have a peaceful shift, Margy.

See all of you Momsters/Dadsters tomorrow. Sleep well. Prayers going up for all our many needs.
Safe travel for Shar and T-bird tomorrow!! They are going to the Zoo (taking Justin)!!! But alas....no Tai to visit!

Lolly said...

Put my nose in a book tonight. Enjoying it!

Glad you talked with "Texas" tonight, Loweeda! Yep, it is HOT here, but a cool front is a comin!! Wahoo!

Okay, I am heading to bed now too. Ready to put my head on a pillow.

Nite all! Sweet dreams!

Hi, Everyone!

Gosh, it's so late that I guess it's early! Have had a busy day today. Spent most of the afternoon at Sis-in-law & Bro-in-law's house babysitting the bulldogs. Got home just as the sun was setting.

Loretta, thanks for the video of Mr. Wren's song--it's beautiful!

Well, it's getting pretty late back east, so guess I'd better say goodnight. Have said prayers for everyone, especially for Diann's BIL, Charlie, and her sister, Judy.
Oh--for our Judie, too! Gosh, you'd better be calling the doctor if those meds make you feel that bad! That's awful! Just not right.

I'm leaving the porch light and the night light on for those coming in late. The eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security are both enabled. Sleep well, everyone, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]

GOOD MORNING...
It is another beautiful morning here in Nestville (my spell-check tells me NESTVILLE is not a word!)
But, you know where I mean:)
70° right now, only going up to 76°. MY KIND OF WEATHER! Might get some grass mowed. Actually it's only the weeds that need mowing, grass hasn't come back yet, enough to need mowing.

We had a really fun visit with GG yesterday. She dragged out a box of old photos, some of which I have never seen. I especially loved the ones of both my maternal and paternal grandmothers as very young women and some of my maternal grandfather...he was very handsome and dapper (straw hat and walking stick). Absolutely none of my paternal grandfather. He was 16 when he came to the US from Italy and I would imagine someone in Calabria, Italy has photos of him as a child. I don't know his mother or father's first names, so I got stuck at Ellis Island when trying to research his ancestry:(
I have a second cousin whom I have never met, who discovered me on Facebook and has contacted me, saying that he has been able to trace family back to the 1840s. Don't know if he means grandfather's family or grandmother's. Awaiting a reply to my inquiry.

Gene is going to lay the flooring today and the best thing for me to do is keep out of the way. So I will be outside most of the day. It is going to be a great day for being outdoors. BBLT

Must be first day of school, here. Saw the school bus go by. Bless the kids hearts (and teachers), it's too soon to go back to school. After Labor Day was ideal when I was in school!

stronghunter said...

Good morning!

I have to be at work at 11:00 today, so I am just stopping by to greet everyone before I head out for the day.

hedgie said...

Morning all. Yep, Wanda, 1st day back! Sure hope your new-found cousin has lots of info for you!!

Shirley, hope your late day is successful.

Here's a short cute video:
Dog Bird

Lolly said...

Good morning! Just have a minute to get on. Have a man coming to the house shortly to give us some info. Have things to do, but wanted to say Good Morning!

Lynn, loved the dogbird video! Smart bird lining his nest with fur! I have tried putting tufts of Annie's hair in the tree but have never had it collected. Looks funny hanging from the tree!

Well, my boys are in school. Keep thinking of my Jacob in kinder. Wish I was a fly on the wall!

Have a great day! I will be back later!

This day is not starting out well....my email program is not working. I have communications to send, and to open..argh! Everything else is fine. Carolyn having the same issues...big AOL problem, obviously.

paula eagleholic said...

Hello there!

I think we could use a new week thread!

Judie said...

Good late morning.

Jo, hope Alexis has a terrific first kindergarten day.

Lynn, I hope you get your email working soon. Loved the dog/bird video.

Sent an email to dr.(his preference)letting him know the side-effects and that as of yesterday have stopped all medications except baby aspirin. I have asked that he let me know if he has others options or advice. I know that stopping the meds is not medically in my best interest but I cannot function with the major side-effects. School starts next Tuesday for me and I cannot lose consciousness or soil myself in front of 100 students. Anyway, just wanted to provide an update.

Wanda, great you are getting an almost all new kitchen. I hope you will enjoy. Also nice you had such a great visit with GG. Wish my mom had been willing to share family history. I have lots of pictures but no clues.

Lolly, is the Roadfood book the one by Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives?

Hi to Red. Glad you are settled in your new home. Stop in again sometime soon, y'hear?

Well, I've exhausted my limited supply of energy. BBL

hedgie said...

Email back up and running. Wasn't just me....Carolyn, too! Whew.

hedgie said...

Judie, if things were that bad wit the meds, I think you did the right thing by stopping them. Hope you hear from the doc soon.
DO you have any elderly relatives who could help you with those photos? Grams did not have any labeled....thankfully, Mom was able to tell me who most of the people were that I didn't know. It was a big project---we did it about 20 yrs. ago. I just penciled in id's on back of pic and then when I did the albums a couple of years ago, I did labels.

PLEASE.....label all photos for your kids, folks!!

NatureNut said...

Hope it's a happy Monday for Everyone.
Judie, hope you get your bod back to normal. I've been having some trouble w/one med, but confessed to Dr. that I sip coffee a lot, so it might be that.
Mema Jo, I edited the caption on my turtle pic in the "Park" set. I had forgotten an important happening!
Boy, it sure is quiet outside---awaiting more woodpeckers to return since the pest is not around!
Got stuff to do~~~Later...

hedgie said...

Mature acorns coming down and walking sticks crawling....sure hope these are not signs of an early fall... :(

hedgie said...

Lowreeda...I missed those pics. Super! LOL, Jo...you have your own dedication!

Mema Jo said...

I've just returned - beautiful weather
out today.

Lynn - guess I'll need to read comments now to know what the devil you mean.. dedication???

Mema Jo said...

lol - I was so busy looking at the wrens that I missed the Park Critters too. I left my remark & Thanks for personalizing your photo to me, Loretta

Lolly said...

Oh, man, I am so jealous of your beautiful weather posts. It is 100.8 and climbing.

Judie, the Roadfood book is by Jane and Michael Stern. Also, very concerned about you. Glad you emailed the doctor and hopefully you hear right back from him. (((hugs)))

Got an email from Laurel. Jacob went to kindergarten with no tears and no clinging. This is great! So, wish I could be a fly on the wall in his classroom! His Daddy picks him up this afternoon. Then it will be his Grandma (not me) and his Daddy picking him up. Later on he will walk him with Joseph. They are one block from school! Grandma is going to watch them until Laurel gets home. Joey works at home and his mother has recently retired and is helping Joey with his insurance, so she is going to watch the boys.

Lolly said...

Enjoyed your wren pictures, Loweeda! Interesting that your wrens sang near the nest. Our babies were silent, 5 of them! And the parents never lingered near the nest to sing.

Hi all in Eagleland

Well forever and almost a day. I had things to do around the house. Started one thing and of course we all know what that does. Leads into another then another something to do.

Mixed another batch of hummingbird food. Those buggers have been eating me out of house and home lol but I love it!

Prayers for Diann's siter Judy and husband Charlie. Praying the infection heels fast and they can get that hip replaced. So sorry Diann for all the surgies.

Prayers for Jacob and his 1st K day.

For Mema Jo's Alexis (she is so smart anyhow) I how since she now has a full day. That she will give the teacher some teaching time. tee hee

Judie glad you stopped the meds. Praying though that doctor gets back to you IMMEDIATELY! You need meds and ones that don't cause those reactions.

Wanda hope that coursin soon get in touch with you and that he has the information you need. I am getting excited for you. If he doesn't have what you need. Maybe Annie-Marie can be of some help.

Hedgie-Lynn so glad AOL is working right for you now. (:
Loved the titmouse and the puppy video. ty
