Wanda they were doing nestorations and then the cam started looping. Belle was moving sticks and Lib is standing at about 1:00. She pecked him a few times. Lynn glad your luncheon went well.

Yepper! I have been AWOL today.. I've spent time with oldest daughter - we had a great time. After she left I did do a Panda Nap! Glad the nest had some activity today & thanks Margy for the pics. This is really ok because he sleeps most of the time after 5pm. The 10am starting time is a little late as he is active early am hours if I am remembering correctly.
Helen, I got an answer from the K2 Aviation place. There is no certain time to see the snow mobiler's, Just any time during the daylight hours, he said hardly anyone goes out when it is dark.
OK...back from eating supper. Emergency #1...looked in the freezer this morning for some breakfast food and discovered it went kaput during the night! No fixing it (40 years old)...had to run into town and look for a new one. It wasn't easy to find someone who would deliver by tomorrow, but we did. A lot of ice is still in the freezer and that will keep most of the meat OK til tomorrow. Now when we unpack it tomorrow, maybe I will find that CORNED BEEF that I have been hungry for:) We, then, had to clean out half of the basement so the men could get the old freezer out and the new one in. In the midst of all this, I got a call from GeeGee, saying that she couldn't breath and was shaking all over. Called the doctor and he said to bring her right in. Did that and he determined that the new Rx that he gave her 2 weeks ago was the culprit. Gave her new meds and I took her home, gave her 1 new pill and 20 minutes later she was back to her normal, happy self. Back home again and got some GOOD news. Gene found the SNAKE!! Deader than a doornail. I had put some of those stickum pads around (used to catch mice), hoping the snake would wander onto it, and he did! NCIS time, Helen.
What a day, Wanda. After all the excitement three good things, GeeGee is doing good, you caught the freezer in time to save everything, and the snake is dead.
It sure is hard to find my eyeglasses when I need them to look! Wah! Old second pair is not going to work very well. Paula, I have had turkey sandwiches three nights in a fow, now have to cook the rest off to get some broth for soup. And it was not a whole turkey, just like a quarter turkey. Yum, just the same. ☺
Wanda! that is too much entirely for one day...noticed you disappeared abruptly, now I know why. Good thing you are a breakfast person ! Especially glad that GeeGee was able to get some quick relief!
And now, you can truly sleep in peace with the lights off ! ☺
Too Funny! the deer at the Snowman cam have snow moustaches !
Well, the prayer worked..."we" found the specs. At least I knew I didn't have to bother looking in the buggy! Now, on to really see Indiana Dave's pictures.
Took a panda nap....missed most of House...but taped, so I can catch up!!! Still need to watch NCIS, too. Wanda, what a day you've had!! But all's well that ends well. Remember when we had that happen about 25 yrs. ago...but we didn't catch it so quickly...ours was all rotten...it was summertime....ugh-h-h. Listen, girlfriend, if that corned beef is as old as you said it was.....DO NOT EAT IT!!!!!! Glad GeeGee had a quick rememdy!! Who's her doc?
Wow, Dave and Deb....pics are delightful, as always! You two, along w/ Bob, Loretta and Glo need to start businesses!!!!! The ducks w/ the sun on the water is a pretty shot, and the eagle is so regal, Deb. Thanks!
Just noticed/remembered that it was on, MArgy...love it! I have it saved on VCR tape! And I THINK I have a CD, too....will need to check and make sure...if I do, I'll copy it for you!
Lynn, the doctor is Tim Bowers. He prescribed Sertraline when it seemed her 1/2 Ativan was not doing the trick anymore. Three days later was when I had to take Mom to the hospital. She is now off the Sertraline and back to a whole Ativan instead 1/2...3 times a day.
Just getting off work but enjoyed a quick view of todays latest pictures by Deb and Indiana Dave. I did manage to post a new slide show on Glo's Glimpse's before leaving for work today as well. Had a minute so figured I would drop in and give a report of todays adventures. More snow in my forecast tomorrow so not to sure I will get out with the cam :(.
Dex is recovering from his rabies shot poor baby. He got extra hugs and a couple of kisses from the kids tonight. That was good for all of them.
Just working on video of today's visit...my sound on my computer at work is not the greatest, but it records the sound just fine...didn't realise that Belle called out before she left this morning!
Great pics Dave & Deb.Think Glo had some new ones too. Wanda!! What a day! Now you can find that old corned beef & get a new one! I've got a little bit of turkey slices left for couple sandwiches. Fubby cooked fish filets last night. Think he's had enough??LOL I get to go to work tomorrow-- YIPPEE!!!!! & will probably see an eagle on the cam ☺ ☺ ☺
Poor snake. Wanda and Gene, I don't know how you slept in the house not knowing where it was. Glad the mystery is solved. Also really glad GeeGee is feeling better. Meds can be really tricky things sometimes.
I went out to a meeting tonight. Andrew had a Town Band Christmas concert tonight and I didn't go. They play at Pipestem State Park on Sunday so I will definitely go to that. Hopefully, I will feel better by then adn feel more like going.
I am at home for the first time by myself tonight. Mattie went to stay with her mother. This should prove to be interesting.
I think Lynn is right about the snake being caught in my trap for weeks and I didn't know it. He looks as if he is begining to dry up. Photo on WILD AND WONDERFUL. WARNING!! It is creepy.
Okay Wanda - I hope you are catching the Roy Orbison show...I have seen this show and am alway spellbound when it is one...love to watch all the different musicians. KD Lang, Bonnie Raitt, and who is the 3rd gal, I can NEVER remember..
Paula When Belle squealed, that is when folks were saying she was polite to say Good Bye. It was pretty wild.
Oh Wanda I am glad to hear that there is now no chance at all of that creepy critter in your house. That is one photo I don't think I want to go see, but I am awfully glad to hear that it is a done deal.
Sure hope the night is a restful one for all of you and Gee gee has a good day tomorrow as well. I am off to see paula's video. I missed all the action at our nest today as I was at the vets and then off to the Marina with my camera.
Dex is doing ok from his vet visit. He likes turkey with 1/4 aspirin hidden in it. makes me feel better anyway. He isn't in the Slideshow today though no. But he will be in pictures again soon.
That is one powerful eagle mama for sure. Loved the video Paula thanks for taking time to make and share it for those of us who were not watching. I loved her good bye too. How well timed cool.
Great, Glo! I have a few questions... 1) the pelican, what is the black thing with it or on it? 2) What is the white bird flying in the shot with the eagle in the tree
And, I love the way the Eagle looks like he is sitting on a branch swing! Very nice things to see today... Thanks Everyone!
Hedgie my Blazer has needed a tune up for months! I have been having some rough starts and it shakes rattles and rolls. With the electronics, it takes awhile for them to do the diagnostics. I think the mechanic gave up and went home for the day! This is not a good sign. Service manager say it was disassembled, tires off and all that jazz so they could look at different things. I am very discouraged....but, to quote a famous jubby It is what it Is :(
MagpieThe other bird in the picture with the eagles is a seagul. If you watch on fulscreen bottom right to get there and then click show info top right there is usually but not always soem info about the picture.
The black on the pelican is a part of the Pelican. They are mostly white but come with that beautiful black highlight. He needs to be headed south I would think.
No graylag goose there today. I looked all over for him. I guess I will choose to believe that he was rmeoved and taken someplace where he can get through the winter much easier than a marina full of ice and snow.
Okay Glo, very nice, thanks! the way the wings feather out on the Pelican is very delicate, considering it is kind of a lumbersome looking bird in other ways....is Dex resting peacefully?
We had a lot of EYE CANDY on here today...just watched Glo's slideshow; think I have seen them all now. NICE! I am about to turn in and NO NIGHT LIGHT TONIGHT!!
** Just a little reminder, Eagle ♀ and ♂ Buds, our cam is still locked up....so don't go into heart failure if you see Belle in the nest this morning....**
I'm sure Steve and NCTC will take care of us before too long...
And I do see an eagle in the nest at nCTC. Do we know for a fact that it is there. Saw last night where folks thought we were in a loop so didn't even turn it on this am yet.
Dear Dana - The cam is locked up from last evening..... It does look beautiful...but it's gonna be a little while before it gets reset. Go back and check out Paula's Youtube....great action from yesterday...
Oh Well thanks Margy that is what I was doing...catching up on comments. Had live feed up...it went so I brought up still and there wasn't anything then there was. lol Our eagles got me...I didn't see the comments or the eagles yesterday. I was out shopping and spending fun time with sister. So now I got an eagle fix from Yesterday...SORRY EVERYONE!
Loved the pics from Lorett, Bob, and Dave and Glo your Marina Visit was GREAT!!!
Bridget will get use to Timmy or is now Chloe lol. Bob it took me back in time. When little we had a kitten just like Chloe. A boy I named him Snoozy because I was so little I didn't understand purring. I thought the purring because he was asleep was snoozing. His name stuck with the family.
Margy they should be heading to the nest...week is getting shorter..we are mid-week. Go Steve...Go NCTC....Go Go Fix the Cam and the Spidey Web. Rarr rarr put the pedal to the metal and get the truck hoovering above the nest. YOU GUYS ARE GREAT AT NCTC THANK YOU!!!!!
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... It looks to me like the BWO cam is stuck, or Lord and Lady Baltimore are frozen in place. Beautiful picture, nonetheless.
It was wonderful to slip into bed last night and turn the light off, knowing the dreaded SNAKE was dead:):) We will be cleaning out the freezer this morning, getting ready for the new one. If they don't come early, I may have to get my EAGLE CANE afer them!
Wanda - actually the BWO pair have just been hanging around on that side of the platform for about an hour, but the cam does seem to be refreshing. I guess they are just enjoying life! ♥ ♥
Someone might have already put this on: Egg laying at BWO last season was Jan. 26th and Jan. 30th. ours was Feb. 4, 6, 10th. Cape Coral eagles Cam 1 was Dec 26 and Dec 28th. Cape Coral Cam II was Jan 8 and Jan 10th.
* Just a reminder everyone, we are still waiting on a reset for NCTC - the pic you see (right now anyway) is from yesterday afternoon. * But when the rainbow lines disappear, we will be back in action !
Oh "lurking" Red NOT YOU!!! Margy cute "red your watching".
Red is playing I see with avatars; they are cute. Red you said from your "HOME COMPUTER". Where are you?? Aren't you Home??? Also what this about "dishwasher"?????? I thought YOU WAS THE DISHWASHER lol

Every once in awhile the crows sound like a little dog barking, and sometimes like a little fox.. But now an Eagle, and the Crows sound just like Crows !
Well, guess I am going to dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening, and Live like Heaven starts tomorrow...these little things will help take my mind off a very discouraging vehicle report. Once again, I quote a famous Momster's Jubby: It is What It Is (That WILL Help!) Sigh. Gotta have wheels, though...so there you go. Maybe I should just get an Eagle Cane and go walking and hitch-hiking around now.... Catch you folks a little later. Got to make some plans... xoxo ♥ ♥
Good morning, everyone. It is a cold sunny morning here. It got up to 50's yesterday, but only supposed to be 27 today, the wind chill is 0, brr. Luckily their snow prediction was wrong, only got about an inch.
12/03/08: We hope to send our tree climber up soon to check out our equipment for the new nesting season. But in the meantime, we decided to put the live feed on the website.
Both parents have been seen bringing in the occasional stick and tidying up the nest.
Wednesday, December 3 Time to brag about Mei Lan some more! Over the past two weeks we have been training Mei Lan to receive voluntary injections in her rear leg. This involves her entering a restraint cage and lying down so that her leg can safely be accessed by the veterinarian. This is an important behavior for her to learn so that we can administer the anesthesia for routine exams while minimizing stress. Well, this past Monday Mei Lan had her routine physical exam and she cooperated with the injection perfectly! She did not even flinch when the needle was inserted. Way to go Mei Lan!!
Serpentine belt, oxygen sensor, antifreeze seal problem, CV boots leak, power steering fluid leak... they said it was nothing that I could really have prevented, most likely it is a "Blazer Thing." I have heard that too many times since I bought it. Never again. :(
If you miss looking at the hummers one day, it amazing how they have changed. They should fledge in about a week or so. The site says 25 days from hatch and we are at 18 now.

Your new pictures are awesome. You have the perfect eye for nature!
And you brought us gracefully right through the split..
xo ☺ ♥
Dave - is the big watershed picture at the top the new one?
It is the color version of your black and white one from Monday?
Verrry Nice !
Wondering about our buddies that we have not seen on here today...
Hope all is well in "Eagle Land" (as Movin' Jim would say )
Fabulous Deb!
LUNEY UPDATE
December 2
Remember when your mother would lick her thumb and use it to wipe off some foreign matter from your face? You would cringe as she approached and parry to dodge the inevitable. I suppose I witnessed the panda version of that when Lun Lun, taking the job of mothering ever so seriously, was fixed on giving the cub a good bath.
Most infant mammals require anal-genital (A-G) stimulation in order to defecate and urinate. Lun Lun is very diligent in ensuring that this need is met for the cub and she often throws in a full body bath for good measure. The other evening, while holding him, she began to lick the cub’s A-G area. He was squirming a bit, so she placed him on the floor. As she continued to bathe him he became impatient with the entire process. Lying on his back, mom’s paws holding his rear legs, he began to twist his upper body from side to side in a futile struggle for his freedom.
I was surprised to see how strong his movements were; but, when you are trying to make a point - I don’t want a bath! - I guess you have to put all your brawn into it.

I AM SEEING AN EAGLE ON OUR STILL CAM...IS THAT EARLIER OR WHAT?

Good evening, eagle buds. Finally caught up on mail and blog. Lots of good viewing today, huh?? Great. Cute story on lil Luney!

Didn't overeat...too busy gabbing..so now I'm hungry. Think I'lkl grab a bite. BBL!
Thanks, Helen. I wondered why no one was looking :)
Wanda they were doing nestorations and then the cam started looping. Belle was moving sticks and Lib is standing at about 1:00. She pecked him a few times.
Lynn glad your luncheon went well.
Thanks, Ceil. Glad Belle is still pecking him...needs to keep him in his place;)
All kinds of emergencies today, haven't kept up on happenings.
Is everything ok Wanda?
Where is Jo?
Jo has had a visit with her daughter most of the day and only opened up the computer to show her the Puppies! How about that!
I think she will check in later.
Ok, Wanda, give us some reassurance here, quick.

Yepper! I have been AWOL today..
I've spent time with oldest daughter -

After she left I did do a Panda Nap!
Glad the nest had some activity today & thanks Margy for the pics. That
snowman is going to get snowed in!
Still watching those wild dogs on the puppy cam. Some will be leaving this
weekend.
Hi Jo.
Deer on snowman cam
I wonder if there is a Salt Lick there for the deer? I wonder how they
find food in the deep snow?
Hi magpie;the photos i posted today are on winter with the eagles

Deb and Dave great pictures.
Thanks

Wow, Dave, you are far from the nest! I really like the second picture. What is the cement thing in the foreground?
Helen, I got an answer from the K2 Aviation place. There is no certain time to see the snow mobiler's, Just any time during the daylight hours, he said hardly anyone goes out when it is dark.
well we will have to keep looking Deb.....one of these days we will catch them:)
OK...back from eating supper.

Indiana Nesting Eagles----Dave
Wow what a day Wanda....sounds like a Monday!!
Anyone still eating leftover turkey? Think I have 2 more meals left :(
Boy, you are far, Dave. I see you had a touch of snow.
Hey Deb did you find the nest in
the trees? You will have to enlarge
the photo to see it
dave
We had about 1" that day.today it
is allmost gone.The weatherman said
that we would be getting some more
later this week.
Dave
I did, Dave. Thanks, for letting me know it is a firepit.
We were supposed to get an inch tonight, no the last I heard we were up to 2-4. I hope they are wrong, I want the inch forecast back.

Coon at Pix PA, deer at Snowman cam. Human left the puppy cam.
Hedgie: You told us someone we already suspected: that the luncheon was a great success...
Those folks are lucky to have you in their group!
Now, I really can't see right and am doing multiple strikeovers...maybe I will "see" you in a little while...
(Okay, St. Anthony, your turn)
yeah, right, three nights in a fow.
Too Funny! the deer at the Snowman cam have snow moustaches !
Well, the prayer worked..."we" found the specs. At least I knew I didn't have to bother looking in the buggy! Now, on to really see Indiana Dave's pictures.
Wow, Dave, those are nice. Do the Eagles grab some chow off the open field sometimes? I mean, like owls do? Rodents and things?
Are your photos in color but just look black and white because of the winteriness of the scene?
Jo - you will be happy to know the racoons are staying busy most of overnight at Pix PA....
Helen, that was a a great little tale about Lun Lun and his mother...he has captured our hearts hasn't he? Thanks for getting all those updates to us.
xo going to disappear for awhile.
poor Wanda, what a day, but the good news is...the snake is dead!!!!!! glad Gee-Gee got taken care of promptly
Margy, that St Anthony is a life-saver:)

He's my doctor, too, Wanda. Glad she is okay! Meds can be such tricky things, especially with the elderly. So much trial and error.
GLO..you were right about my GLO'S GLIMPSES email. Found them in SPAM.
Did you see my post: THE SNAKE IS DEAD!:) No more sleeping with the light on;)
Dr. Bowers has been wonderful to Mom over the years. I was so relieved he was able to see her so quickly.
Yes, it is, Wanda!! But you've only missed about 25 mins.
Almost time for Without a Trace...let's see if I can stay awake for it!
Wanda...that sneaky snake has probably been stuck and dead for weeks and weeks....and never let you know...LOL...shame on him! ☺ ☺

And, I love the way the Eagle looks like he is sitting on a branch swing! Very nice things to see today... Thanks Everyone!
Thankful for the Snake Closure!
Videos are great!
Watched 3 TV shows in a row! Now it's time for a Human in the Puppy Pen show.
Good night everyone
Peaceful sleep and Pleasant dreams..

I am very discouraged....but, to quote a famous jubby It is what it Is :(
Hedgie - I don't remember! Got it bookmarked, tho. Just found it recently...thought it was cute! And it goes with eagles :)
G'night Jo....best wishes at the eye doc's tomorrow...we'll try to write BIG on our Emails to you...

Gnite all. Hope all goes well with your appointment, Jo.
Hugs to all.
OH, and glad ya'll enjoyed the videos :)
Here is a nice picture of a pelican not taken by me
American White Pelican
No graylag goose there today. I looked all over for him. I guess I will choose to believe that he was rmeoved and taken someplace where he can get through the winter much easier than a marina full of ice and snow.
Had to check in on the puppy cam before bed.
Full steam ahead there!
Paula, I loved watching that video. I do believe Belle was trying to make a Christmas tree:)
The ice sculpture photo was sent to me from my S-I-L. I had never seen it before and thought it was beautiful and touching.
Heading for tub and then night-night! See you in the morning light. Prayers for all.
Oh, Margy...does sound serious...what year is it?? Bye!
Okay Glo, very nice, thanks! the way the wings feather out on the Pelican is very delicate, considering it is kind of a lumbersome looking bird in other ways....is Dex resting peacefully?

Don't know if anyone on here is familiar with Dover Publications, but there are great, very affordable, and wildlifey gift ideas on here:

Wednesday update for ATLANTA....
Wednesday, December 3
Time to brag about Mei Lan some more!
