Good evening all. Beautiful picture Steve thank you so much. Spent late morning and early afternoon going to my favorite spots this itme of year. Tonight I will see what kind of photos I got. I did see Countless Eagles and a gorgoeus Blue Heron. Loaded yesterdays photos to Glo's Glimpses just a little while ago. I so love this tim eof year photo wise. I am out in the ocld much more than I am in actually.
Weather hasn't started yet but still in forecast. As long as we don't get enough ice to bring down power lines all will be well enough as the storm is to be over by noon or so. Party is at 5 with a neat Pizza Place catering for free and Santa arrives at 6. Still hoping and praying and right now things are sounding a little better locally. Dicey but doable if they are right now.
I read your alert when I first came in. Went right to the cam before posting my previous message but I was too late :(. So glad they are visiting regularly and eating in the nest. Great sign as we have all been learning.
I didn't find dates, but I found that they have names:
The cone was removed last December and the eagles - named Patriot and Liberty via an online Record Searchlight poll - raised their eaglets, Freedom and Conehead, also named by poll, this spring and summer.
I think I read the story about them placing a cone in the nest to discourage them from using the nest but they insisted anyway. The cone was removed and the first born was named conehead.
That was the nest the Caltrans workers put a cone over so the eagles would leave, but they just kept coming back anyway. Must be how Conehead got its name.
Mrs Red is a manager of a Travel Agency here in Huntsville and has a man trying to leave Cairo, Egypt and her office has experienced a power outage. She is having to wait for power to come back on so she can finish getting him to whereever he's going. Of course it's 3:30 AM there too. I think I may as well fix dinner and let her warm it up when she gets here. See Y'all later.
Good evening, ladies and gents. Sounds like everyone has had a good viewing day. Sissy, loved the pic of Tom and the doggies...the rescue boy is on Tom's right arm, right? He does look emaciated. Welcome back, Jim and Bob! Ceil, are you ready for your trip?? Bet Glo is having fun-fun-fun at the party!
It was a rough day, long hours, then 15 mins before I was due to leave, bad wreck on the interstate so 90 minutes later I did get out of there...you're right, Hedgie, Slam Wore Out. Go to bed, go directly to bed, do not pass go, do not collect $200...
But I did just catch up on blog posts. Couldn't open or close the computer this morning...had to unplug the darn thing tonight just to start over...that's not normal.
Sounds like a really great Eagle-Watching Day! Good to see that Jim was able to hobble back on for a bit.
Best wishes for all your dreams to come true Friday...Glo's workplace party for the kids, Paula's Mother being released...and every little thing that is in your heart. ♥
Margy, your 'puter sounds like it is acting up exactly like mine. It works really well for a while then it get a STUBBORN STREAK! Have to completely shut down power:(
Wanda and Margy, You SHOULD completely power your PC off every day or two. Thats the only way the memory gets cleared. If the memory gets too full it will slow everything down.
What a miracle that Michael could get their flight bumped up! Hope Lolly was READY for a last minute change! Sure hope there isn't a NY blizzard this weekend!
Just got done watching a movie, took out the garbage for the morning pick-up and the snow is coming down. I kept hoping it would stay south, I am in the 2-4" zone, so that isn't too bad.
Lolly called. They have arrived, and couldn't find a pizza place quickly enough, so they ate buritos. I ridiculed them severely for going to NYC to eat Tex Mex. It was 38 and more or less dry.
Just shutting down since Stopzilla finished spyware scan. Tried to start a new label page in Word w/Avery program & you'd think I broke into a bank! All kinds of messages that Avery had something malicious & it was blocked!I made copy of existing page & deleted the names & reused it. So There!
Jack, thx for info on Lolly. What a great idea. Don't know how they changed flight. Month ago I couldn't get one for TX. Guess we won't be having TX Mex for Xmas!
Helen, I thought of getting out of town for inauguration, too. Maybe I can get to TX then! Nighty-night all.
Good morning Friends!! Looking for a visit this morning. The eagles at Norfolk have been there since I got up at 6. They really stay around that nest alot don't they.

I do, too. I am not sure if they are on the same timeframe as the Channel Island eagles or not.
I'm starving Mits and Mrs. Red is hung up at work. Might have to cook dinner and let her have warm ups. lol
I didn't find dates, but I found that they have names:
The cone was removed last December and the eagles - named Patriot and Liberty via an online Record Searchlight poll - raised their eaglets, Freedom and Conehead, also named by poll, this spring and summer.

Evening, all. Went out to try and finish up Xmas shopping...almost there!
Mom might get released tomorrow.
I hope to finish up shopping Saturday. For some reason, I have enjoyed Christmas shopping this year. I have no idea why.
Paula, is your Mom going back to the Nursing Home or to her house?
Will keep my fingers crossed that tomorrow will be the day, Paula!
Steve, thanks for the pic...very cool! Too bad we can't see Nu!!
Poor Margy must have had a rough day...she's probably slam wore out and sleeping, I hope!
Good Evening Eagle ♀ and ♂ Buds.

Mom will be going back to the nursing home when she is released, Wanda.
Helen, I came upon this ad in KIJIJI and thought about you:
Inaugural Housing - Bowie, MD

I'm sorry, Paula...I was hoping she was well enough to go home to recuperate. The time will come.
Margy, do you know what mile marker the wreck was near? Was there any fatalities?
Margy, your 'puter sounds like it is acting up exactly like mine. It works really well for a while then it get a STUBBORN STREAK! Have to completely shut down power:(
Wanda, you would not believe some of the prices I am hearing for that week....I'm planning on heading to the beach that week
Lolly is on her way to NY. Michael called and said that he feared snow would mess up the NY airports in the morning, co they flew out tonight.
Jack
Lolly is on her way to NY. Michael called and said that he feared snow would mess up the NY airports in the morning, co they flew out tonight.
Jack
thanks, Jack, good thinking on their part....my hubby has been in Atlanta all week , and most of the people who live in the NE, left tonight
Wanda and Margy, You SHOULD completely power your PC off every day or two. Thats the only way the memory gets cleared. If the memory gets too full it will slow everything down.
Thanks Jack for the update. I'm sure she'll get there with good weather - I just hope you get her back for Christmas
Keep us posted - thanks again.
What a miracle that Michael could get their flight bumped up! Hope Lolly was READY for a last minute change! Sure hope there isn't a NY blizzard this weekend!
Red, I think you are right. I have done that and 'puter runs well...at least for a day. Thanks for all the tips and help that you give us:)
Jack, thanks for letting us know where Lolly is. Hope the weather doesn't hamper their trip.
Helen, you are VERY wise to leave town! I would be afraid to rent out my house!
Thanks, Jack. Glad they got out early!
I turn my computer off each night.
Wanda - that's OK...Mom has a ways to go before she can go home.
trust me, Wanda, I would never rent my house or my condo:)
Time for a new pic...
I hope Lolly took her new Lap Top and keeps in touch with us.
Paula, so pretty! Mine is suppose to twinkle too.
Just got done watching a movie, took out the garbage for the morning pick-up and the snow is coming down. I kept hoping it would stay south, I am in the 2-4" zone, so that isn't too bad.
The radar really looks nasty in Nebraska and Iowa for icy conditions. I hope the Quad Cities aren't getting it too bad for Glo's party tomorrow.
Light, freezing rain with a temp of 19 in the Quad Cities, I would think it will switch to snow soon.
I love your wreath Wanda, blinking or not
I am calling it a day......
May all travelers be safe!
Good Night
Peace to you & yours
Prayers for all our needs being said
(((hugs))) ♥
I see Lolly is off to New York, glad they could work out the flights and she can have a little extra time with Michael.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
GOOD NIGHT, JIM..
Nice wreath, Paula!
Good night, dear friends all. Blessings and prayers.
Lolly called. They have arrived, and couldn't find a pizza place quickly enough, so they ate buritos. I ridiculed them severely for going to NYC to eat Tex Mex. It was 38 and more or less dry.
