Congratulations Red on the win of Alabama and Norma on the win of W. Virginia last night; in the snow no less. Our pe teacher was there at the game. That is the way that I remembered football being played; cold and snowing.
Normabyrd, Andrew said he didn't want to disturb his breakfast by asking for his autograph (Ralph Stanley, that is).
This afternoon at 3, the East River Mountain Town Band's Christmas Concert is at Pipestem State Park. I have to try to go even though I really don't feel like it. Got to see my boy play though. They had a concert at the high sohool last week and I didn't make it to that one, so I have to get there today.
PAULA, ao glad to hear that your mother is coming along in getting better. Also wonderful news about Mason. And LOLLY is going to be in NYC. How cool; look out NY here she comes. You are so lucky. Enjoy every bit of it.

Well, you all have a nice day. Guess I had better start setting up my North Pole Village just in case Josh gets home. I haven't checked my email all week either. BBL hopefully.
WHOA! You 'little southern belle'---If I were you I would watch basketball too!!---You all always have an AWESOME team!!---must go get lunch & fill my feeders!!
Everything frozen up on the computer this morning, though I was up late watching the Sea Eagles at Finney's - and I watched the first early birds at Scottish Wildlife Trust. Couldn't close out of the Blog, just had to shut the computer down...:(
Oh well, maybe it is the weather. Going to have a peek at a few sites, and see what happens.
Prayers for wellness, peace, and comfort today. And Safe travels, Watch the Wind! xo ♥
Happy Cold Sunday Everyone! Looks like the cams are kapoot! Oh well, maintenance is scheduled next week. I sure hope Steve tells the tree climber to clean off Spidey's web! Been working on picures---will post in a second. ☺ ☺ ☺
If you have the time - the BWO gallery is up and starts back in OCT. There is such a variety of feathered species that come to that platform - I am so grateful that Lisa lets the cam up all season.
I drove over and met up with friends Mary and Roger and we went in search of eagles--our total for the trip starting just east of Yankton and ending in the big park was....drum roll....103! Can you believe it? and without a camera, no less. I didn't take my camera bag because we have too much junk between the three of us.
In two trees that were right next to each other we counted 26. I am hoping Mary and Roger got some good pictures I can share with you, but I am going back tomorrow in hopes that half of them don't move on!
Hi everyone. I went out again today to take pictures of the eagles. The day started out as 4 degrees but the wind had died down to it really wans't as bad as yesterday. Since our cam is down I have not missed anything. Norma you have mail.
Thanks for the kind comments on Glo's Glimpses. I am so drawn to these birds when they are around. I will wear my cam out and freeze my fingers but its like a kid in the candy shop. I love to take the pictures and then I love to come home and see what I got.
If you haven't subscribed so you know when its updated I would encourage you to do so. Its not professional but it is eagles right now at least 90%. I think anyone reading this blog would like to see the photos but maybe you have your fill of eagles already in other places.
I cherish each day they are intown. Just awesome to hear and see and try to catch those special moments. Glo's Glimses
And tomorrow is Cam Fixer upper bye bye spidey day. Hope Steve has seen the comments aobut changing that angle a little for us up at 12 o'clock too.
Well Deb sounds like we both live in very active multiple eagles everywhere country. I could sit there by the river and watch them all day, but I do drag myself home after a couple of hours :).
We started at 7 this morning and I got home about 3, so we put in a good day, Glo. We also saw lots of geese, various ducks, gulls, scaup, merganser, crows everywhere, turkey, red-tails and one great horned owl. Hardly any small birds today.
Sunday, December 7 Well, the BIG DAY is almost here! Tomorrow, Monday, 8 December 2008, the cub will be 100 days old and at 11:30 a.m. (EST) the cub's name will be revealed! We panda keepers are all anxiously awaiting to find out what we will be calling this little guy. As his caretakers and trainers (eventually!), we will use his name many, many times per day over the next few years, so tomorrow is an important day for us as well as the cub. Personally, I cannot believe how quickly the last few months have passed and I have thoroughly enjoyed these odd [night] shifts and caring exclusively for Lun Lun and her cub. Although I was a keeper here when Mei Lan was born, I worked the daytime shifts and did not have much interaction with her until she was older. Watching this cub daily from birth has been an unforgettable experience for me; however, I am excited to look to the future and see the cub walk for the first time, climb his first tree and have his first taste of bamboo. There are so many more milestones to come and I look forward to them all! Heather Baker Roberts Carnivore Keeper I
Saturday, December 6 On Friday afternoon, while Lun Lun was resting just a few feet away from the cub, he decided he wanted to be with his mother. He looked up and around for a few minutes and seemed to locate her. Then he scooted directly over to her! It did take him a few minutes, but he was confident and did not deviate from his goal (no running into the wall or stopping for a rest). Lun Lun was asleep and the cub surprised her when he reached her. She looked up and then reached out a paw to pull the cub onto her chest. Lun Lun then carried the cub to her favorite spot to nurse him. This was a very cute interaction between mother and cub and it was the first time I have seen the cub go to Lun Lun on his own. Usually when the cub wants his mother, he calls for her and she goes to him. It is another milestone in this cub's life! Heather Baker Roberts Carnivore Keeper I
Boy Deb - talk about reading what you see - I saw that your CAR battery died! lol
Deb & Glo & all others that give us photos to view whether it be eagles, pheasants or even a goose - THANK YOU & we will never tire of seeing them.
Helen- can't wait to hear (and pronounce) his new name - Luney as is ButaButa & ZZ will always be their names! I would loved to have been watching when he found his momma.
awwww bless their little hearts and the human Momma and Daddy hearts too. well and of course canine mama. You all are making me sad but there are several wonderful homes out their ready to share lots of love with some awfully sweet active well cared for and socialized little pups.
Well, Glo for sure they were a joy to watch. Such active little ones that it was hard to know what to expect next from them. They always appeared to me to have 'springs' on their feet the way they would run and jump!
Good evening everyone. I have just been home for a few minutes. Went to Pipestem to see East River Mountain Town Band for their Christmas concert. It was beautiful but very tiring. Stopped at Sissy's on the way home, laid around for a few minutes, ate supper and then came home to my babies. Going to find something to watch on TV.
Yes I can, Mema Jo. I so love that boy. So many members of the band came up to me to see how I was doing and said Andrew had been so worried about me. Made me feel good hearing that. Sometimes I get in my head that I am the farthest thing from his mind most of the time but I guess not. ☺
12/4/08 Today is the day that the camera is installed. As you can see, it is not very big. One nice feature is that it will enable people to observe the nest at night too.
SO GUESS IT WILL NOT BE LONG TIL WE SEE SOME OPSREY ACTION, DEB:)
Update Puppy Cam: Sorry for being unable to update Autumn's status. Her new mom is en route to us now so we'll be going through all of the anguish one more time tonight. Stay strong...
The chickadees there resemble something called a Mountain Chickadee in some of my resources... Cam 2 is another view of the cam from the side and bottom and you can see the ducks better on the ground that way.
sorry, last comment about Cam 2 at Scottish wildlife does not make any sense, what I saw yesterday is not there today, there are lots of Cams 2 - may be later it will make sense. I'm sleepy.
GOOD MORNING MARGY.. I certainly did see your post about the FOX. I don't very often see a live fox, so it is a thrill for me to see one...always too quick for me to snap a photo:(
Sorry Wanda - I missed your post before I almost signed off...it was dark, but it surprised me that the fox ran up a little bank and just sat there for me to watch it...
Eagles in and out of BWE this morning, they sure are pretty!
Yes, Megan, we did have a pretty sunrise. I took a few snapshots, but they didn't turn out very well. I guess I can't hold a camera still. I need some lessons or a new camera ;) You can look at them on Wild and Wonderful...still can see how beautiful it was.
Good morning all. Wanda Your sunrise pictures are very pretty . Although a stabilizer from Santa hey why not ask :).
I also want to send See Ya Later or maybe not wishes to Spidey. Today is the day he/she must relocate. Kind of exciting. sure hope it all turns out good.
Good Morning, Glo...I do need some help when it comes to taking photos. Gene does so much better than I. He knows which settings to use and has a steadier hand:) I hope Steve will announce to us when Spidey has met his demise:):)
Funny, Glo, unless you are Boris... Have a great day all, gotta get to work, busy week with lots of orders and another weekend of sales coming up. I'll be glad to work mostly inside today after standing outside the past two frigid days...

I'm thinking that I can't see a collar on the one pup - so that maybe is the one they are keeping??
But then sometimes their hair covers the collar.
EAGLE AT CALTRAN:)
Well, Glo for sure they were a joy to watch. Such active little ones that it
was hard to know what to expect next from them. They always appeared to me to have 'springs' on their feet the way they would run and jump!
They are keeping Ayumi, the yellow collar one.
That was a pretty fly-off at Caltrans, thanks for the heads up, Helen.
I didn't get to Caltrans soon enough
But earlier I did see a beautiful
fly-in!
Great view on the cam to see them coming and going!
I hope Lynn can watch the Ravens/Skins game on TV tonight where she is.......
Hope Anne got Christmas tree up &
trimmed!
eagle back at Caltrans. Human in puppy land.
Both humans were in puppy land
I think new momma and dads will come soon.......
Both eagles in Caltrans.
What a time to end viewing. Darn, Caltrans is down for the day.
Deer still at snowman cam
Luney is sleeping....
Remember: Panda cam streaming will return to normal hours (10 am - 5 pm EST) the week of December 8th.
It didn't look dark at Caltrans, did it?
Deb On the puppy cam now - does that puppy have a collar on???
think they shut it down around 5 their time
New pair of shoes showing on the puppy cam
THEY'RE HERE.......
There is one puppy without a collar, Jo. I have seen a purple, yellow, and red this afternoon.
Uh-oh, could this be the time for Autumn to go?
is the sound off at puppy cam?
I'm happy they are going to new homes.....
No sound here!
Hello:) They turned the sound off a little while ago when people appeared on cam with the pups.
My eyes are glued to the puppy cam
Time for Redskins & Ravens---2 local teams for us!!Should be interesting.
Sorry TX fans---Cowboys lost.
Steelers & Da Bears (2 other faves) won!!!
Mits - where are Jay & Kevin watching the game - together?
The puppy to be leaving is now
sleeping in the bed - Autumn with the
purple collar?
They are at the game, Jo, I gave my ticket to Kevin since he is a Redskin fan:). Hope they stay warm:). Jay looked like a snowman when he left...
I'm decorating kitchen, and doing laundry, so don't have time to watch the game.
it is 10°at snowman cam...brrrr!
turned off the puppy cam..
OH NO MR BILL
They turned off the puppy cam
Darn, that was abrupt. Site says Akoni's new parents are there.
1st QTR Ravens 14 - Skins 0
I thought something was going on when I saw them clipping nails - but purple collared Autumn was sleeping.
Sharon - so happy that you got to see Andrew play. Now you can rest!
Yes I can, Mema Jo. I so love that boy. So many members of the band came up to me to see how I was doing and said Andrew had been so worried about me. Made me feel good hearing that. Sometimes I get in my head that I am the farthest thing from his mind most of the time but I guess not. ☺
Sharon if you get HGTV...some neat Christmas, shows are on
puppy cam back on
lol, they sure don't look upset..
so happy for the new families of the pups...enjoy:)
AND THEN THERE WERE 4:(
DUNEDIN OSPREY CAM IN FLA UPDATE
12/4/08 Today is the day that the camera is installed. As you can see, it is not very big. One nice feature is that it will enable people to observe the nest at night too.
SO GUESS IT WILL NOT BE LONG TIL WE SEE SOME OPSREY ACTION, DEB:)
Anyone want to go to NCTC and watch them climb the tree? I'm wondering how long all these renovations will take.
Watching a Hallmark movie...
I'll be on & off.........
You know - like a commercial.
That is good news about the osprey cam, can't wait!
I love watching the osprey:)
Wanda I don't have any idea what
time the tree climbers will be at NCTC
guess the puppy without a collar is the one they are keeping?
I'm so excited to see what changes they make, if any, to the cam and if we will have GOOD sound.
One thing for sure, Steve said they would wipe Spidey off the face of the earth! (Or at least, off the face of the cam)
Sunday's are always a long day...think I'll turn in early.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS
I am finished my Hallmark movie and right behind you Wanda
Good Night Everyone
Prayers for all our needs
((hugs)) ♥

Two eagles at BWE
Good Morning Eagle Buds
Wanda - Don't know if you saw my late night post Saturday...I saw a red fox while coming home from Berkeley Springs. Cute ! ☺
Birds are hammering the feeder at Scottish Wildlife Trust ... ☺
Still two Eagles at BWE - and Maine is all black for me this morning...
The chickadees there resemble something called a Mountain Chickadee in some of my resources...
Cam 2 is another view of the cam from the side and bottom and you can see the ducks better on the ground that way.
Eagles have left BWE, for now.
They sure looked Cozy
sorry, last comment about Cam 2 at Scottish wildlife does not make any sense, what I saw yesterday is not there today, there are lots of Cams 2 - may be later it will make sense. I'm sleepy.
One eagle back at BWE
GOOD MORNING MARGY..
I certainly did see your post about the FOX. I don't very often see a live fox, so it is a thrill for me to see one...always too quick for me to snap a photo:(
Two at BWE still -
Time for the pillows..
I didn't see that anyone saw ISS last night, and I had to miss it, too busy at work.
Have a good day, Everyone.
Good Night....xo
I can see just a sliver of sunrise in our woods...going to get a photo. BBS
Good morning Margy and Wanda. I'm waking up with Folgers. Cold morning here today. Pups did not stay out long.
Sorry Wanda - I missed your post before I almost signed off...it was dark, but it surprised me that the fox ran up a little bank and just sat there for me to watch it...
Eagles in and out of BWE this morning, they sure are pretty!
Now, Good Night again...
and you too, RED - I always refresh after a post to see what and who I missed...
Well, no more now,
Pillows are shouting!
Goodnight Margy. Have a good snooze. ☺☺
Good Morning, Red...Margy, sleep well:) I got some great shots of the sunrise. Now to see what they look like on here. BBS
I'm taking a break too. BBL
Really pretty sunrise here this morning. Only 17° here...brrrr...
Yes, Megan, we did have a pretty sunrise. I took a few snapshots, but they didn't turn out very well. I guess I can't hold a camera still. I need some lessons or a new camera ;)
You can look at them on Wild and Wonderful...still can see how beautiful it was.
He knows which settings to use and has a steadier hand:)
I hope Steve will announce to us when Spidey has met his demise:):)
Ha Ha Wanda its hard when you get excited about what you see to remember to hold that cam still.
I have deleted many an exciting feathered picture :(.
They're still pretty, Wanda...
Tribure to Boris the Spider on his moving day...bye-bye
Boris the Spider RIP
Ha Ha Megan cute one
GOOD MONDAY A.M. EVERYONE
Funny, Glo, unless you are Boris...
Have a great day all, gotta get to work, busy week with lots of orders and another weekend of sales coming up. I'll be glad to work mostly inside today after standing outside the past two frigid days...

Hello Mits:) cozy 21° here, but at least the winds not blowing... Later gators!!
BORIS THE SPIDER, tee hee...how fitting Megan. Thanks for the chuckle :):)
Good Morning, Helen:)
Going to fix some breakfast:
Country Ham, eggs and Red Eye gravy. Now, if I just had some grits, would be a real Southern meal.

sounds yummy, Wanda, I'm having coffee.
