Well, that was probably the worst snow blowing job ever. The wind was so strong and the snow kept blowing in my face. Oh well, I got the worst of it.

deb said...

We split, hope everyone makes it over.

Mema Jo said...

I MADE IT! WHOO HOO!

Toy store trip was successful!!!!
And the split was a cinch!

Mema Jo said...

OH! I DIDN'T READ ANY COMMENTS BEFORE I CAME ON

DEB DID YOU SEE THIS?

Its official!Mason is no longer in a coma. He has passed through the vegetative state and passed the minimally conscience state. He responds to commands, is aware of his surroundings and has some purposeful movement. I can tell when he is annoyed with me, so I try to be as annoying as possible. Now it is recovery time which means there is a lot of more work to do, but this is our Christmas present for us and to all of you that have been behind us, sending us your generous support, love, compassion, energy, prayers and light. This our next beginning.

Love to all from all of us.

deb said...

No, Jo, I hadn't seen it. What a wonderful Christmas present that is for the family, friends and supporters of Mason!

Can you just imagine the excitement everyone must be feeling today?

Mits said...

What a wonderful Christmas blessing for that family, who has been thru so much...:)

deb said...

I just read some comments and the excitement is sure catching and spreading through the country. Had to light an extra candle for good measure!

Mits said...

BTW, please keep my D-I-L's co-worker in your prayers this holy season of Christmas, their 20 month old baby boy died in his sleep last week, he was buried this past Saturday, they have 5 yr old twin boys...but, I know they need prayers for strength.

deb said...

They are definitely in my prayers, Helen, such a terrible tragedy.

There were lots of pretty ones when I googled it, but only a few in trees!

paula eagleholic said...

Well that NBG update sucks!

hedgie said...

Prayers for your DIL's co-worker and her family. SO sad...
Please also pray for my son-in-laws' sisters' husband...he was to have both legs removed today for diabetes-related gangrene, and be put on dialysis. He wants to die, and "ordered" his wife to not come to the hospital today (she is there...he doesn't know it).
Margy and Helen, I have that Natural Christmas CD, too!

paula eagleholic said...

Mits, will certainly keep them in my prayers.

paula eagleholic said...

Hedgie - prayers for your SIL family.

hedgie said...

No luck finding the special gift for daughter....it was advertised in Parade yesterday...WalMart sold out; CVS and Walgreens has never gotten it in. It is a wallet-sized 58-pic digital picture frame. Ordered it online and ended up 2 for price of 1....but no rush delivery...

hedgie said...

Time to get settled on sofa for Jeopardy--that is lap time w/ Cinnamon...she comes running when the music starts!

Mema Jo said...

Mason's Candles - Light Up!

Mits said...

How's your Mom today, Paula, that is the first thing Ceil asked me today?

Mema Jo said...

Hedgie - that is such a hard thing one must have to go through physically let alone mentally. Big time prayers for all touched by this.
I pray he snaps out of it and becomes grateful for his life - Not really sure how I would feel...

I've been praying for Annie's coworkers loss, Mits. Breaks my heart.

Mema Jo said...

Man I need a cookie.........
I'll sneak downstairs - don't anyone miss me! I promise only to get 1
or 2. BRB

deb said...

Lynn, prayers for the family for physical and emotional healing!

Mema Jo said...

I am not having any luck opening the ME cam - Any suggestions..?

Mema Jo said...

I also can NOT get on the Kent Forum
Have you had any luck Deb?

deb said...

I finally e-mailed to get a password sent to me, Jo. I get Maine open, but it is dark, no night light.

deb said...

From Tom Otto:

We (WDFW, Olympia Systems, Canopy Conservation) are hoping to install sound, IR cameras and streaming footage in almost all of the canopy nest sites this year. Unfortunately the Lake Washington nest will remain 10 second JPEGs for now. So cross your fingers, as we are scraping together funds to try and make this happen due to WDFW experiencing some major cutbacks, including the Wild Watch program.

Mema Jo said...

Thanks for all this info Deb

Let you know how I make out

deb said...

Did you know that if you hold the control key and turn the wheel on your mouse your screen pictures get bigger without losing any quality. I put the cam I want to look at in the middle of the screen and hold control, scroll my mouse and big picture.

deb said...

I learned that from Dutch Eagle Fan on the Maine forum.

Mema Jo said...

Deb That is really cool
I bet you'll need to remind us later to do that! Pic stays really great.
Will you use it in place of the Zoom?

paula eagleholic said...

Mits - Please tell Ceil thank you for asking about my Mom. I sent you an email.

Deb, does that work on a PC as well.

deb said...

I will have to try it on our nest with the eagles in it and see what happens. I tried saving a picture and it saves the same size as regular screen, I thought it would be neat to save them extra big.

deb said...

Yes, she was doing it in firefox and IE7, if I remember right. I'll go and look.

deb said...

I did remember right, Firefox and IE 7. I had Safari open and it worked there, too.

deb said...

News from the puppy cam, get your puppy fix in quick:
Just a heads-up that we'll be turning the webcam off tomorrow night (Tues, Dec 23rd). Of course we will do some goodbye videos before we leave so that everyone has a proper send off.

Mema Jo said...

I'll miss those little ones. When they return after the holiday there will only be one to watch. But there will be adult Shibas ....

Mema Jo said...

Going to check out if any Christmas movies are on TV.......... BBL

Mits, I am so sorry to hear about your DILs friend. What horror they are having to suffer!! Prayers for sure.

Glad to hear the good news, Sissy. Sleep well tonight.

By holding CTRL and rolling mouse you can zoom in and out on most anything when using Internet Explorer or FireFox.

Red said...

Thats expecially helpful when you need to increase text size to make it readable.

Red said...

With that said, I'm off to bed. Goodnight everyone.

Mema Jo said...

Video was so peaceful, Paula! Thanks!

Did wake up to see Little People & that was it!BTW, did find a small fiber optic tree at Wallymart! When it's up, we'll see how long it remains standing w/wild animals!!☺ ☺ ☺

Mits said...

I love fiber optic stuff....have a few snowman like that..

Mits said...

yes Little People was sad last night....I remember how shocked I was when they sent the e-mail out last June about Mike's death, was wondering when they were going to reveal it on the show

Costume Lady said...

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...
I think our beauties are ignoring there duties this morning...no visit and no nestorations:(

Mits said...

there you are Wanda, was just going to send out a search party for you.

Costume Lady said...

Our temp is 12° and I hear lots of gunshots. A person has got to be crazy to hunt in 12° weather.

Costume Lady said...

This 'puter has to be rebooted every morning and seems to take forever to complete the process.
It has been at least a half hour, trying to get on here:(

Mits said...

it is 13° here:(

NatureNut said...

OK, you birds. Going for more coffee---that should bring them in!

Mits said...

NOTE FROM LISA AT BWO AND E.....

12/23/08:
Happy Holidays to all our cam watchers!

For those who wondered about the pine sprig that the eagles brought to the nest, in the warmer months it acts as a natural pesticide, and in the colder months it acts as a sign to other birds that the nest is taken and active.

floralgirl said...

Wow, I'm jealous, it's only 9° here....too cold for me...

Mits said...

crows and eagle sounds up in Maine...
