Its official!Mason is no longer in a coma. He has passed through the vegetative state and passed the minimally conscience state. He responds to commands, is aware of his surroundings and has some purposeful movement. I can tell when he is annoyed with me, so I try to be as annoying as possible. Now it is recovery time which means there is a lot of more work to do, but this is our Christmas present for us and to all of you that have been behind us, sending us your generous support, love, compassion, energy, prayers and light. This our next beginning.
BTW, please keep my D-I-L's co-worker in your prayers this holy season of Christmas, their 20 month old baby boy died in his sleep last week, he was buried this past Saturday, they have 5 yr old twin boys...but, I know they need prayers for strength.
Prayers for your DIL's co-worker and her family. SO sad... Please also pray for my son-in-laws' sisters' husband...he was to have both legs removed today for diabetes-related gangrene, and be put on dialysis. He wants to die, and "ordered" his wife to not come to the hospital today (she is there...he doesn't know it). Margy and Helen, I have that Natural Christmas CD, too!
No luck finding the special gift for daughter....it was advertised in Parade yesterday...WalMart sold out; CVS and Walgreens has never gotten it in. It is a wallet-sized 58-pic digital picture frame. Ordered it online and ended up 2 for price of 1....but no rush delivery...
Hedgie - that is such a hard thing one must have to go through physically let alone mentally. Big time prayers for all touched by this. I pray he snaps out of it and becomes grateful for his life - Not really sure how I would feel...
I've been praying for Annie's coworkers loss, Mits. Breaks my heart.
We (WDFW, Olympia Systems, Canopy Conservation) are hoping to install sound, IR cameras and streaming footage in almost all of the canopy nest sites this year. Unfortunately the Lake Washington nest will remain 10 second JPEGs for now. So cross your fingers, as we are scraping together funds to try and make this happen due to WDFW experiencing some major cutbacks, including the Wild Watch program.
Did you know that if you hold the control key and turn the wheel on your mouse your screen pictures get bigger without losing any quality. I put the cam I want to look at in the middle of the screen and hold control, scroll my mouse and big picture.
I will have to try it on our nest with the eagles in it and see what happens. I tried saving a picture and it saves the same size as regular screen, I thought it would be neat to save them extra big.
News from the puppy cam, get your puppy fix in quick: Just a heads-up that we'll be turning the webcam off tomorrow night (Tues, Dec 23rd). Of course we will do some goodbye videos before we leave so that everyone has a proper send off.
Wow, a real partridge. Can't say that I have ever seen one! How cool is that!!
What great news about Mason!! The power of prayer is a beautiful thing. ♥♥♥♥♥♥
Mits, I am so sorry to hear about your DILs friend. What horror they are having to suffer!! Prayers for sure.
The newest Riffe is off of the vent, only on oxygen now. His Mommy got to hold him for the first time Saturday. He was 6 days old!! We experience miracles every day!!
Good night all. Snuggle up with someone or with a pet...single digits here tonight! Brrrr...prayers for all in need, and rejoice for the good news...God is good.
I missed everything last night. One of those out & about days w/Dr. appt, last minute shopping & then home, dinner & pass out in lounge chair. Did wake up to see Little People & that was it!BTW, did find a small fiber optic tree at Wallymart! When it's up, we'll see how long it remains standing w/wild animals!!☺ ☺ ☺
yes Little People was sad last night....I remember how shocked I was when they sent the e-mail out last June about Mike's death, was wondering when they were going to reveal it on the show
This 'puter has to be rebooted every morning and seems to take forever to complete the process. It has been at least a half hour, trying to get on here:(
For those who wondered about the pine sprig that the eagles brought to the nest, in the warmer months it acts as a natural pesticide, and in the colder months it acts as a sign to other birds that the nest is taken and active.
Morning all! Mits, do you have the news on? Hope you don't need to go out...stay away from River Rd. near Fenway!! HUGE water main break....cars and people trapped! Rescue operations underway!

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 289 of 289Well, that was probably the worst snow blowing job ever. The wind was so strong and the snow kept blowing in my face. Oh well, I got the worst of it.
We split, hope everyone makes it over.

I learned that from Dutch Eagle Fan on the Maine forum.
Deb That is really cool
I bet you'll need to remind us later to do that! Pic stays really great.
Will you use it in place of the Zoom?
Mits - Please tell Ceil thank you for asking about my Mom. I sent you an email.
Deb, does that work on a PC as well.
I will have to try it on our nest with the eagles in it and see what happens. I tried saving a picture and it saves the same size as regular screen, I thought it would be neat to save them extra big.
Yes, she was doing it in firefox and IE7, if I remember right. I'll go and look.
I did remember right, Firefox and IE 7. I had Safari open and it worked there, too.

Glad to hear the good news, Sissy. Sleep well tonight.
By holding CTRL and rolling mouse you can zoom in and out on most anything when using Internet Explorer or FireFox.
Thats expecially helpful when you need to increase text size to make it readable.
With that said, I'm off to bed. Goodnight everyone.
Video was so peaceful, Paula! Thanks!
Did watch another Christmas movie...
Love them!
Calling it a night..

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...
I think our beauties are ignoring there duties this morning...no visit and no nestorations:(
there you are Wanda, was just going to send out a search party for you.
Our temp is 12° and I hear lots of gunshots. A person has got to be crazy to hunt in 12° weather.
This 'puter has to be rebooted every morning and seems to take forever to complete the process.
It has been at least a half hour, trying to get on here:(
it is 13° here:(
OK, you birds. Going for more coffee---that should bring them in!
NOTE FROM LISA AT BWO AND E.....

Wow, I'm jealous, it's only 9° here....too cold for me...
