Good morning and Merry Christmas to everyone! Two visits already, the start of a wonderful day.
A little story about some friends of mine that was on the news this morning:
Stacy, Brian and Hunter remember Bailey
sometimes you have to hit pause, then play again to see the video.
There is a bunny rabbit at the Burrowing owl hole. I wondered if the owls had gone south for the winter!
I missed the bunny but I guess that is what has been making the tracks. They have videos of the owl in the snow - I think they are still there. Hope we soon get to see one!
It is still there, Jo, it comes and goes. It is hard to tell, but it seems like it comes out of the hole in the ground.
Deb - love those kind of stories!
Takes special people to do those things for others!

I think we dodged a bullet in So Cal. There was a big advisory on the Weather Channel last night about heavy rains last night and today; but we only had light rains in the night, the advisory is gone and I'm not sure how much more light rain we'll get........ [:~D]
My trip to San Diego's northern County should be much easier. But I was thinking of one year in the 80's when I would have been better off with a gondola than with the TR4-A convertible I had.
The convertible did well though, although I had to slow down and drive in a lower gear to limit wheels slipping in the deep water on the freeway...also the wipers were having trouble handling it.
This year should be a lark.

Just passing through...saw the Santa wonder at the grandson's this morning, now on to the cemeteries to place some decorations, then to help elderly lady neighbor have some Christmas at the hospital...
So Glad to see our Eagles put on a Christmas show this morning!
And so glad, to see that Paula's Mother is doing better, and that Ceil, Jim and Mary Margaret landed at John's Roost !

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope ya'll are having a great day. We have eaten until we are miserable and now I am working. Doctors doze but never close!! Luney is justa snoozing now. We watched him and Lun loving it up a while ago. So very, very precious. Santa brought Mattie the WowWee Panda. I am so jealous. Looks just like Luney!!
She said she will let me play with him some, though, so I am happy.

Check out the 'bird' in the Caltrans eagle nest - it is eating - I don't see a white head or white tail....
The bird I am watching in the Caltrans eagle's nest is as large as an eagle and totally brown - no white splotches at all. It has a small head.

I had a very quiet Christmas since my sister had to work. We will do Christmas next week on New Years. When you have family that works in a hospital, you just have to adjust. I went to the river and watched the eagles. My pictures are loaded. I used Flickr this time. I will see if it is any better than Picassa.

I saw a beautiful red-tailed hawk soaring in Morgan County this morning.
Sure would like to see an Eagle spend the night at OUR NEST again.
There is a deer, I think, at the Snowman Cam....the site it almost totally obliterated with Snow !
Check out RDHC - some one big and around made a visit to the cam, cute !

I am all done with my CBC list for today. Sunday is the official count day. I think the meadowlarks might be unusual as they aren't even on the list. I sent the picture to Roger, he is in charge of the count.

Wow- long day- was just checking for Mason news before I head to bed- and found some-
We are up here in PA with Melissa and Bridget, sharing Christmas today with Mason. Brian, the nurse got a nod from Mason> A yes nod. Thats big, so mom and dad can communicate with him. Mason received some great tshirts and hand made items from Melissa and a nice quilted cover from Granma. Melissa'a portable umbrella christmas tree is set up in his room. That Merry Christmas peace sign is all Mason by the way, we are just holding the blanket for background.

Steve and NCTC have reallly done a wonderful job of getting us a wonderful live front seat for the new season.

I thought we were going to have some mating that time.

Bob has some Kitty Xmas oics up on PBase. Looks like our house. When we went to son's for family dinner on Xmas, we locked our little fiber optic tree in a room. No decorations except top star so they can't hurt it, but older cat wants to eat the needles!She likes to eat thin ribbons too!
See I missed our birds' visit, but since they seem to be visiting after noon, maybe I'll see them at work.
