Good Morning all, ITS HOT! supose to be 107 today. Hit 105 yesterday. I left the air on all night. We didnt even get a breeze. The 4th was great. Lots of family, babes and food. My youngest 2 years was thrilled with fireworks. I thought she would be afraid but not that trooper. She is a kick. She laid down with me on a blanket at the park and watch them overhead and ooed and awed.They didnt start until past 10:00 so we are all sleepy this morning. It gets dark so late here in the summer. Hope you all had a wonderful 4th.

I havent seen BB or swallow all day. The nest has been cleaned out but no sign of any bird. Guess they got scared away. What goes around comes around. I wonder who will be the brave one.

HELLO EVERYONE--
I hope that you all had as wonderful a day yesterday as I did. Spent the afternoon and evening with my children and grandchildren, their spouses and boyfrfiends and girlfriends and my beloved Mother.
I see the BB nest has been cleaned out and it appears the cam has been moved. Mrs. Swallow has been investigating.
I just realized that the cam in the BB box probably wasn't moved. The nesting material just covers the bottom of the box---when it is built back up towards the top, the cam view will probably still be the same.
Costume lady it has been moved and your right. I checked it 4:30 your time and it isnt in the same spot as it was then.I can see better now than before. It was too close.
ANNMARIE--
It will be interesting now to see what happens "From the Ground up", so to speak.

Hello WANDA AND ANNMARIE. Just read your blogs and went to the BB nest to ind a new resident. Looked like the swallow.
It looks like Limuw had another bird for lunch today. White feathers all over the nest and he sitting in the middle of it all.
Yup. It is Mrs. Swallow. She is already decorating with feathers.
WANDA I wonder where she gets all the feathers from, huuummmmmm? There must be a lot of birds out there yelling "ouch"! :)
Going tomorrow to look at another place to see about using the pool.
Today at therapy I surpassed goals again. I only have one goal to surpass now. Then I will be finished this therapy. Then I will be trying to keep building up the tendions and ligaments and etc in my knee. By going to the pool and doing the exercises possibly 2 days a week.
Hope we get to watch Mei.
DANA Sounds like very good news for you today. Good work! You gi girl! Our prayers will still be with you to keep improving. Soon this will be all behind you and you will be zippig right along.

Right now I have my eyes off and on the BB nest. Ms. Swallow is building a new nest back up again.
I'm truly thankful for all the prayers that have been sent for my therapy and healing.

You asked about the feathers in the swallow nest; She uses, mainly, duck feathers. I don't know if you read an earlier comment I made, but swallows line their nest with the feathers and then trim the edge of the nest with feathers going straight up and down lik a babies playpen. It is a work of art.

DANA Thanks for the info. I remember some of your telling us she uses festhers. Even tho I really miss those little BB's I can't wait to see the finished product of this new nest.

Hey everyone. Just skimmed the blog for today. Made it home from the beach, had a great time. Just read my aol mail 272, yahoo will have to wait til tomorrow.
HEY JO-My aunt told me that they have spotted two bald eagles over on Derricksons creek, pretty close to your place. They might have built a nest on Swann's side of the creek as Tommy has seen a large nest down by his mom's but they seem to be staying on the wild life preserve across the creek.

I just found the "pink kitten" and put it on here. Jim wanted to know how I colored it? lol Things just started from there. After that when I would change. They would ask for my "pink kitten" back.
Of course as I understand it since I had been off the blog for a good while (surgery). Someone that is "special in here". Got noodled for calling it a "pink doggie" lol lol

JILL Good to hear you are safely back from your trip to the beach. You have probably seen more of the Atlantic Ocean on your vacation than I have since school got out. :) Too much traffic and people. I hae only been to the beach once so far. I hope you had good weather and a fun time. Did you get to see a lot of fireworks?
Thanks Wanda. It was a little windy and chilly for the beach but had a great time. Went to BW. Got some cute pics of and osprey and 2 babies, I will post them later. Dad was near by with a fish but wouldn't take it to the nest. Mom was not happy. kept fussing at him. Didn't see any eagles but with 2 exremely restless boys in the car it is hard to spend much time looking at anything. LOL. My aunt is going to be looking for the eagles near her house. One of her neighbors has seen 2 adults but not real sure where they are living at. One large nest has been spotted but they don't stay on it much. People are hoping the stay across teh creek at the refuge where they will be safe. They are looking into taking down the nest in on the populated side of the creek but DNR has asked them to watch it for a while to see what happens
JO Lucky you to have eagles spotted by your home. Better get those binoculars out and start looking. :)
Fireworks were cancelled in OC but the beach was great. Mits, I didn't see a single firework down on the south side. Apparently there was quite a show on the bay side near North Side Park. They could be seen from Rt. 54. Friend argued with me that the Northside had their fireworks last night til I turned on the tv and showed him they had been cancelled til tonight.
Well my husband just came in so I had better get out of here before he thinks I am stuck in this chair. :)

Jill, Northside Park, and the Inlets' were held tonight. There are many different areas that still went on last night, like some of the hotels on the beach and just regular people come on the beach and shot them off....GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE

MITS Whoever it was on the northside had some good ones. Good enough to convince my friend they were the cities. Did you see the note I sent Jo? Two bald eagles have been spotted on Derricksons creek. If you are not familiar, Assawoman Bay (Behing OC) goes up passed the Fenwick Is bridge then branches off just passed Sharks Cove to the left. The eagles were spotted about 5 miles inland from the bridge.
Hello all! Going to miss some of you who have signed off for this evening.
We took our soldier, Patrick, to the Out Back this evening. He really enjoyed the meal as everyone did. He looks really good - he is putting some weight back on - said he dropped 32lbs while in Afghanistan. Also said he is starting to be able to relax-that was good to hear. I had asked him what was the longest time without showering - 45 days! Patrick is Mr Clean in person... It's the small things most of us don't think about that they have to go through no matter what. Well I told him all those (((((((((HUGS))))))) were from my friends!
I'll need to be on the outlook for the pair of eagles - That sure is pretty close to the house.
