"We are still in icu at Paoli Hospital. Mason is sedated, with a breathing tube so he doesn't get in trouble. They reasonbly ruled out siezures,( we've never had any up to now anyway), he has some pnemonia, the cultures take a couple of days to grow to nail down whatever the infection is. And for those of you new to this blog, Mason was in very serious traffic accident in WV in July 2008, spent many months at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, and has been at Bryn Mawr rehab in Philadephia area, for many months. His return home was scheduled for the next few weeks. He and his family are from Shepherdstown, WV.

Finally got on here today--phone very busy with registering for big programs.... Appears our cam osprey has one egg-Hooray! Got a not great pic. Eagle nest is now covered by leaves when driving by. If not raining when I leave here, will try to stop & take a peek.
Good Afternoon, everyone! I'm being a slowpoke again today. Took a while to catch up. First of all, Happy Birthday, Bob!-- I am SO impressed with your cardinal pictures! Hope Mits, Sharon & Mema Jo are all feeling better today. Deb, hope your headache is better, too! Was sorry to hear about Mason-- have lit a candle for him. Watched the Eagle Song video-- it's a keeper! Just beautiful. Hedgie, the herons ARE big-- we always have laughed in years past because the fledglings are about chicken-sized, and if a neighborhood cat cornered one on the ground, the cat always ended up running for its life. The heron nest is in our backyard ficus tree, about 30 feet up. The tree itself is huge, about 48 years old. We have two like it in the front yard that are the same age and size-- HUGE! They look like one big tree with a double trunk. Don't know what we'd do without them; they're a Godsend in the hot summer, shading much of the house. (We don't have any a/c!) Sharon, you mentioned having a new White-crowned sparrow. We have several pairs here, and they actually spent the winter! They usually seem to migrate, but stayed this year. Am trying to watch to see where Momma hummer flies-- I think she has probably started another nest, away from the herons. Will try to get a good picture of the ficus tree so you can see what it looks like. Maybe I can catch one of the goshawks in the tree out front, too. OOh-- looks like somebody brought Hidey some lunch! Isn't it great how they share so politely? Think I'll say TTFN and watch them. Have a great afternoon! :o]
I had to take my hummingbird feeder down again. There was about 1/4-inch of dead p-ants floating in the top of it. I am going to have to get one that doesn't hang on the window and maybe I can doctor around it to keep those ugly critters away!
Hedgie- Thats the Central Islip School District on Long Island. Alot of us at the high school got hooked when one of the secretaries showed us the web site. Seems were not the only ones.
Rickey376 Love your avatar. Margy could you get a firefighter friend to meet us at the nest. Need to wipe off the lens. Wanda where do you have an eagle custom. I will put it on. Probably give Lib, Belle and Hidey a heart attack. Mom look at that big eagle.
Good video, Paula! Hidey acted like (s)he didn't know what to do with IT when Belle/Lib left! Very strange--whatever it is. Hi, Ricky376. Do you have any eagles up there?
I'm finished with Dental appt. and done grocery shopping. Groceries all in before it rained. Plus went back got the mail and made it inside before the clouds opened up again here. POURING !
Hidey just might be a "boy" why stubborn. Parent tried to get him under wings. He wouldn't go. Parent tried again and Hidey pecked parent!
No eagles. Alot of Hawks. Last time I saw an bald eagle in person was at the Kennedy space center in FL. There all over the place there. Thanks about the pups. They are all rescue dogs. Meaning we rescued them from the pound. The big one is Comet(female). The white one is Hobo another female. and the king charles cocker is Max. All fixed so we dont increase the population.
Hi, you guys! Looks like it's raining pretty hard at the nest. Glad to see that Hidey has some company! Has anyone figured out what kind of food that is yet? I've been having trouble receiving & sending e-mails today. Earthlink has some sort of problem going on. Soon as I can, will try to get some tree pictures where you can see them. Take care; I'll BBL. :o]
We apologize for our downtime. We share our images with Wildcam.com, and they're having major ISP issues, and it affects our image updating when they do. They're working on the problem.
Okay Eagle ♀ and ♂ Pals. Headed out for some Kid Fun, Morgan County here I come, if the waters haven't overridden the roads. One nice thought, shouldn't be very many out of control brush fires around these parts !
Guess we will be living with that White Smudge for awhile :(
Take Care, Hope everyone has a Great Evening! xoxo ☺ ♥
Mema : Froggy is on the way! Perfect weather for it ☺
Bob you want me to email you another map to where your going for your Birthday Dinner???? lol directions were right just some names wrong hee heeSo great to have Darla and Mrs. Bookworm in the blog.
Love new people like tapteacher and Carp to come in.
So many new avatars I just love them.....and doggies are so cute.
I am home, stopped at the grocery store after work. Time to feed the dogs and finish mowing. Cloudy here, I hope you all get a break from the rain soon!
Go Hidey go! She is flapping hard! Not sure what food is under the smudge on the camera. Looks like fish? Belle (?) & Hidey were both munching on it a moment ago.
Oh my gosh we have a wingersizing teenager in the nest. Where is our baby? Gosh and he/she is also munching away. I can not believe how quickly this time has passed. I have to admit I have not watched as closely this year. Life has its own things in the way right now. But i did need to stop by and say hi and check out little butter ball. I think he/she is surley thinking aobut how great it will be to fly. Dream big little one.

Turned my back for a minutes...where did that tree come from. They are trying to hide Hidey under branches and leaves now.
Megan, you don't really sound that excited. Had enough? :)
Parent is back and has busted open whatever that is!
Looked like Lib...doesn't look like a steak anymore!
And Lib's back up into the tree
Belle just dropped in!
ADULT BACK
She is a diggin in that bowl, whether Hidey moves out of it or not!
raining hard here now:)
she want her to MOVE
Hedgie- Thats the Central Islip School District on Long Island. Alot of us at the high school got hooked when one of the secretaries showed us the web site. Seems were not the only ones.
Rickey376 Love your avatar.
Margy could you get a firefighter friend to meet us at the nest. Need to wipe off the lens.
Wanda where do you have an eagle custom. I will put it on. Probably give Lib, Belle and Hidey a heart attack. Mom look at that big eagle.
Oh, she is covering the little baby again from the rain.
Oh, she is covering the little baby again from the rain.
Shaaron, baby's not so little any more. Another week baby will be covering mom.
Watch out, Hidey....raindrops will be falling on your head!
Got a bit more work done outside before it started again!
Sharon not Shaaron. Finger slipped.
I would give anything to see you in an eagle costume, and going up the tree to wipe the lens Ceil :):)
Ricky love your doggies
Good video, Paula! Hidey acted like (s)he didn't know what to do with IT when Belle/Lib left! Very strange--whatever it is.
Hi, Ricky376. Do you have any eagles up there?
Um, yeah, maybe we've had enough rain for a while...some heavy showers about to pass over us.

Welcome Ricky376 love you avatar too.
Andrea, I couldn't get your earthlink address to work a couple of days ago...so started using your yahoo address.
I am home, stopped at the grocery store after work. Time to feed the dogs and finish mowing. Cloudy here, I hope you all get a break from the rain soon!
Adult flew out of nest. We are out of the heavy rain for now.
Go Hidey go! She is flapping hard! Not sure what food is under the smudge on the camera. Looks like fish? Belle (?) & Hidey were both munching on it a moment ago.
Gabriela - that white smudge was red earlier...check out my post at 3:41 today
Hi again Gabriela! Welcome back.
Worrying a bit about Lolly....hope she went to the Dr. today.
Wanda....are you still checking in?
Oh my gosh we have a wingersizing teenager in the nest. Where is our baby? Gosh and he/she is also munching away. I can not believe how quickly this time has passed. I have to admit I have not watched as closely this year. Life has its own things in the way right now. But i did need to stop by and say hi and check out little butter ball. I think he/she is surley thinking aobut how great it will be to fly. Dream big little one.
Happy Birthday Bob.
