2/25/24 mating/sticks/grass


A intruder flew around right after they had mating.

618am Scout arrives to the nest.

622am Bella arrives to the nest.

623am Bella And Scout, both want possession of the bole.  She pushes him away to work in it!

Right after that, you can see a fly by  maybe a juvenile Eagle as hard to say. I took a couple of shots of it -

Bella in nest 

901/2 scouts arrives They both were hurt with the sticks. Moving in them around they are so hilarious to watch. I did a video on the close up camera.

 911 to 912 she calls out

Bella teases us by getting in and out of the cup area. Days for a long time

10:00 Bella is in the nest  she calls out earlier she was calling out and you could hear him answer so I don't know if he's in the nest tree below or somewhere close but she just sits 

1011 Bella gets up out of the bole  goes to the Lop 

1017 Bella issues a very sharp call no response! 

1044 Scout arrives w material lands in the nest. 

1047 Bella is on the lop. She is asking for a mating. He goes to the short post but does not oblige in mating. 

1100 poof both of them.

1255 Scout arrives with grass  Lands in nest and immediately starts picking on the bole Area.

 102 he leaves from the nest.

328 he arrives 

418 he floats in 

437 out with a sneeze He was on the short post and did not know what made him leave cause. It looked like he jumped and I realized it was just a sneeze or snitz.

551 Bella arrives to lop 

555 pmshe leaves  from the lop. He remains on the short post.

Deb looked up the statistics on male's first time in the nest mating. On a new nest, they should say it's not a great turn out. It's like 500% or something weird.
