Good afternoon my eagle friends. It was nice to watch both eagles in the nest. Thanks again Judy for the heads-up that they were there!

Today was chilly but sunny so Janey and I were able to get a walk in on the boardwalk in Bethany Beach. Janey knows which stores hand out dog biscuits and makes sure to drag me inside every one of them. Tonight the "polar vortex" hits and the rest of the week is supposed to be very cold & windy.

Just finished reading a Mitch Albom book called The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto - I highly recommend it.

I do keep up with everyone else's comments even when I don't post on the blog myself. Lynne, congratulations to Steve on the job. How is it going?

Janet, how are Gomez & Morticia adjusting to life with the Neely family? How is school going for Olivia this year?

Later!

Good morning eagle budlets!

HODA are u still house sitting?

LYNNE2 How is STEVE liking work?

SANDI. How is Janie with you new endeavor?
How often do you do it? GLO looks like she is thoroughly enjoying it with Patches

LOLLY OH NO SNOW! How often has it happened in your area?

Lolly said...

Good morning!

Judy we get snow but not often! Chance this weekend! But just flurries! Enjoying the cold weather as it seems more like Christmas.

Yard work caught up for a few days....until more leaves fall. Still a lot of leaves in flower beds and still a lot to fall. Will take care of places we can not mow after Christmas.

Today Jack and I are venturing out for last minute shopping. Also, need to buy a turkey. We do a repeat of Thanksgiving as that is Jack's favorite meal. Finding out that turkeys are not on sale at Christmas. Also, finding a large one is hard. Should have bought two Thanksgiving but no room in the freezer.

Time to get a move on! Have a great day.

Yes Judy I am still house sitting.
The house I am in now ends on the 18th
The new house starts on the 17th.
A day of overlap yet I think it will work.
It is all good.
Friends coming back from Hawaii on the the 18th and friends going to Ontarion for the 17th. They will be gone till the end of December.
In between I periodically stop at my new place and unpack or simply get the energy of the place.
I am here now using my desk top and deleting and cleaning things that no longer need to be saved.
I had lunch with a good friend todaty.
Yummy Thai soup.
I so enjoy your entries and have seen the eagles a few times. They look well and I think we will have a good season.
Thinking of you all and sending love and Light to one and all.
Janet respect for helping out those who were affected by the fires and helping out the cat family.
Very cold here still. It gets dark before four. We have had very icy roads.
God Bless us everyone.
Cheers

Good evening to all!

THANKS STEVE for a frosty new thread!
SANDI: Morticia and Gomez are doing great! They are finally big enough to utilize the kitty door (we have a kitty door between the kitchen and laundry room where the litter pan is located). They now know how to jump the gates between the living room and dining room (put up to keep critters apart, instead of putting up baby gates. They love the kitty condo….and love running from room to room.
The other cats have chilled out and all is well. Beano and Dax would like to chase the ktittens so it is an ongoing bit of training, no, we don’t chase babies. Scout and Seven would like to eat them. No we don’t eat the babies. But, its all workable….

Thank you for asking.
School is going well. The challenge this year is laziness. Lol. Over all she is doing well, but always looks for short cuts and I have to stay on top of that. Nothing unusual. Winter break is next week. I think we are both ready for that.
It is cold here as well…..but Saturday is supposed to be 70 and possible thunderstorms. Then back to the freezer. For the first time ever, I wore a long sleeve tshirt under my work uniform!
Its been a busy week, as per the usual.
I feel pretty good though; keeping up on the tasks at hand and not overwhelmed.
Hope everyone has a warm and toasty evening! Good night to all!

Good morning eagle budlets!

SIS I laughed at your comment of the we don't eat babies LOL

Unknown said...

hey ya'll good morning

JUDYE: that's how I talk to these guys. when someone new is introduced, they are babies. be nice to the babies. don't eat the babies. let' s love the babies....etc. yes, I suppose it does sound silly and yet it works.

what I love is, when I sit down I have at least 1 if not 2 or more furry bodies on or around me. I get lots of love and snuggles. :) :) :)

its a cold morning here, but 70 tomorrow.

everyone have a great day

Good morning!

Tonight Joey, Laurel's hubby, graduates. This is his second Masters degree. He is applying for Assistant Principal's job, but present job is teaching English at a high school, and driver's ed on weekends. He does plan on pursuing getting his doctorates, which could lead to a superintendents job. We shall see! Going to graduation and then a party to celebrate! Whole family will be there! Yay!

Bitter cold weather is headed our way. What did not freeze the first time will definitely freeze tomorrow night!

Now to do a little house straightening and wrap a present or two!

Have a great day!

Good morning eagle budlets

I slept in. I am so tired. Getting to old for these late notes.
I think it was 3 when I went to bed
Looks like a nap is in order later

We have a pip at the Ft Meyers nest

Lolly said...

Good morning! Slept late!

Great night at Joey's graduation. It was long but Zach did well. After graduation we took the boys back to the house where Joseph babysat Zach. We went to a Cantina where a lot of friends were waiting to help Joey celebrate.

Interesting....at graduation I heard the name of one of my kindergarten students. She was getting her Masters. That is an awesome feeling!

Nothing on the agenda today except for wrapping presents!

Goodorming my eagle friends.

One eagle landed in the nest at 8:48am and then flew out again at 8:51am.

Good morning Sandi. Thanks for the report. Lopks like I just missed seeing the eagles. Thanks to Steve for a new thread. Going to enjoy a day off before working 6 days next week. Hopefully doneone will be hired soon. Finally got my correct birthday on my Social Security account. Trying to retire and fund part-time employment. I have considered relocating back to Delaware but that would require selling our home. Enjoy your Sunday.

good morning to all.

it is sunday. we have had several seasons in a 24 hour period. the temps rose all day yesterday and when we went to bed it was 72 out side. very balmy and very nice, although windy with a tornado watch. smh. I could live without the tornado watch, but oh well. I heard the sleet hitting the window during the night; and this morning it is 27 degrees and we have an icy coating over most everything. welcome winter?

so its been a busy week. we took boris (our older male cat) to the vet Friday because he was vomiting. we had tried the tummy stuff for hair balls (and btw, I didn't know, but per the vet, hair balls are NOT normal for cats and are a cause for health concerns!) so we've had to switch them to wet food, and the older cats do not like it. so I cooked some chicken and mixed it in and it went over better. I am now working on making homemade cat food to mix with it and maybe eventually transition them over to one or the other.

my friend told me she puts a stick of unsalted butter out (just for the cats) to eat and it helps with hairballs and constipation. this I can and will do....
not margarine, butter. unsalted.

so we are chilling out today. I an making cookies today and cat food.

I already fed the birds and squirrels. i'll feed momma kitty later.

I wish everyone a lovely day! stay warm and safe!

Did I mention it is COLD!
Well?
It is C O L D!!!
Windy too.
Too cold to go outside!
The last few years have spoilt me...
A dear young friend lost her partner to Streptococcus Pneumonia!
How does one die of that in the 21st century!
Shocking! Under 30 years old!!!
Hard to understand it, accept it.

Good morning!

Brrrrrrr! It is COLD! It was 16 this morning, now up to 17. Need to have serious talk with Hoda about leaving the freezer door open!!!

Church this morning and then a little house straightening! Wrapped presents yesterday and have that job almost complete! Plan to get out tomorrow and run some errands. So thankful this artic front did not bring ice or snow!

It was in the 70's yesterday! Good grief!

Have a great day!

Good morning Lolly!
I do not think there is such a thing as closing the freezer door!
Won't happen anytime soon!
Honestly!
Even Vancouver has snow!!!
Yikes!
The winds have carried it to a far away land!!! Won't be back before May!!!

Nooooooooo!

Actually, I do like cold weather, but not this cold. Seems more like Christmas!

The National Broadcasting Service CBC just said there is a severe weather advisory in every Province in the country!

Vancouver opened extra warming centres!!!
They normally can not fill the ones they have!
Now extra warming centres and trucks out to administré first aid and serve hot soup to the disadvantaged.

Oh bliss!
😂😂😂
Exposed skin can freeze in less than ten minutes on the 49th parralel!!!
That would be as far south as we can get and still be in Canada!!!
Nelson folks!!!
I used to pay attention up north when exposed skin could freeze in seconds!
So I guess I am counting my blessings...
