Lynne - yes I have a tiny little pill that takes any nausea away!
My problem is that I think it is more my appetite that is messed-up. Can't find the foods I want to eat! lol

Going to say Goodnight to all ♥

Good evening,

Just got a phone call from Rus. He was interviewed by Channel 7 this evening. It should be on the 11:00 news tonight. I asked him if he had heard from anyone about this yet, and he said that he has gotten a call from the FAA. They said are trying to solve the problem. They told him that his interview had been the topic of conversation at their office the day after the interview. And, some of those guys fly radio-controlled planes too.

Jo has an admirer. Wu-uu!

Judie, now you are a nurse! Hope Darth is A-OK! Love how you wrote that J&J were fed also!

Shirley, I too thought your daughter beautiful. She takes after her mom I'm sure.

Jo will be sending prayers up for you today. Knowing you have Jufie there is a thumbs up!

E-mailed my doc tonight. Just not recovering like I should. We'll see what she says.

Hope everyone is planning to rock the New Year!

Good Morning Eagle Buds

Sandi said...

Goodorming my eagle friends.

Suzan, I'm so sorry this illness is lingering for you - I would definitely be talking with my doctor.

Judie, I hope Darth is feeling more like his old self (figuratively speaking) every day.

Jo, one more day to go til chemo break - you can do this! Prayers continue for you.

Judy, how can you train someone for a position that "doesn't exist?" What will you be training him/her to do? Just stay focused on the light at the end of the tunnel - retirement! You can do anything they ask for a few more months, right?

Speaking of retirement, Paula should be counting down the minutes!!

And I see on FB that Glo's becky is doing well and Glo is flying home today. Bet there will be 2 very happy kitties waiting for her!

Another nothing day on tap here - fine with me.

So, what are everyone's New Year's Eve plans? With a relatively new dog in the house, and one that we're still unsure about when we're gone, we won't do dinner and a movie out. Maybe dinner out and then hit Redbox for a movie in. Any movie suggestions? I can't think of anything I'm really anxious to see.

Nest is MT. Have a greyt day all.

stronghunter said...

Good morning,

Some tiny birds visiting the nest this morning. It looks to be foggy in Shepherdstown.

Thanks for all the compliments about Susan. She does look pretty nice in her fancy duds. I am proud of her.

stronghunter said...

I'm not the best person to recommend movies, Sandi. I am sure there are plenty good ones at Redbox.

Channel 7 Interview

stronghunter said...

Hope this one works. I went to the Ch. 7 site instead of copying the link from Rus. We shall see. Trying to learn the right way, thanks to JudyE.

Judie said...

Good morning.

Jo, thinking of you today. Should you think you feel tiny wispy kisses on your cheek this afternoon, it isn't your imagination. It will be Jufie.

Suzan, so sorry you're still not feeling well. Please do have a chat with your doctor.

Shirley, perhaps Rus has a new career ahead. Drone adviser to the FAA. Will check out the interview later.

Yep, guess Paula is all but retired. Sure wish her well and lots of happiness with Larry Studmuffin.

Safe travels and a happy homecoming for Glo. So happy Becky is doing well.

Ah, a final challenge for JudyE. Training someone for an invisible job. What fun!

I am about to make my escape!!! Darth is doing okay. I am headed out to get my "do" done and to acquire some food for the J&J Mini Mart.

Nest empty. Nest wet. Still rainy here. Blah!

Have a greyt day everyone.

Mema Jo said...

Good morning to all ♥

Almost time to leave the house to see those beautiful faces at the Cancer Center.
Shirley I missed Rus on Chn 7... I was watching 13.
Oldest daughter stopping by today with chili and cornbread.
Foggy out there and calls for some more rain.

I'll be in touch this afternoon after my nap - lol
Love to all

Safe journey home to greet Gabby and Zoey for PATCHES & GLO

JudyEddy said...

LOL thanks for the laugh my invisible job I see you all seem to agree with me

I think they just want me to pass on my knowledge but that is impossible I think for some to comprehend LOL

The gal isn't here today I guess I hadn't seen her and I am thinking about talking to Carmen my asst mgr She also told Joni that she wouldn't get the position unless I say so To me that is so wrong of her to put me in that position since I am a hourly not mgmt I should have to be required to do that. I just don't want to get Carmen in trouble for saying such a thing

I told someone this am if I knew the job was a real job I may not have wanted to retire I was only doing it to avoid all the hassles I get each time we get a new mgr and I have to prove my self all over each time and its been at least a dozen times now

Lets see how that rumor gets around LOL I was just implying and kidding

Mema Jo said...

I am home - took a little longer as I had to get some Potassium in me! I owned up that I hadn't been eating my bananas! I have a prescription to take a tablet for the next 3 days. This has happened before - just happy they were alert to my blood test.

JudyE I am hoping you can leave your position to retirement on a friendly note knowing that you gave them a lot of good years.

I'll be back later today.

stronghunter said...

Hi,

Back from eye doc. No cataract surgery needed. No new glasses needed. Not seeing very well right now, as I had drops.

stronghunter said...

Was thankful for the cloudy weather when I drove home from the doctor's with pupils as large as saucers.

Judie, I think Rus would be happy to have a job with the FAA.

On the interview, he said that he has been interested in aviation since he was tiny. And that is certainly true. When his preschool class went on a tour of a small local airport, he spotted a plane and shouted "that's a Learjet!" The tour guide seemed quite surprised to hear this come from a 3 or 4 year-old. I could not have identified what kind of plane it was, but I was sure he was right.

stronghunter said...

Glad the people at your doc's are taking good care of you, Jo. Hope you like bananas. :)

Mema Jo said...

Hubby and I split a banana each morning - I usually put peanut butter on mine unless I cut it up in my cereal. Rest your eyes Shirley and very glad for your positive report!

Suzan - Hoping your doc has some miracle drug for you to kick this not feeling well.
I know what you mean about "something just isn't right" feeling. Let us know how you do.

Steve has been on travel but is back and we should get a fresh new thread for our new year

Time for a nap!

Kay said...

Good Afternoon, Eagle Buds!!!

JO, glad you get a mini-physical each time you go see those beautiful faces at Chemo!

JUDIE, hope Frank's recoup is rapid and complete! I don't know how he can miss with TLC from a loving wife and two fine feline friends.

SHIRLEY, I enjoyed the second Rus interview, too! Yep, his being acknowledged as a drone and aviation expert might just put him in a new league!

SANDI, I think you have a safe n' sane New Year celebration plan. Probably best to be home with Janey as she spends her first possibly noisy evening with you. Some neighborhoods are quite loud with firecrackers, noisemakers and some even with gun shots to be heard. Thankfully, I live in a quiet area and Penny and I are bound to bring in the New Year with some resounding ZZZZZZ's.

SUZAN, I do so hope you're feeling better with each passing day!

Thinking of you all as this year comes to a close, with hopes and prayers for good health, peace and prosperity in 2016.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Judie said...

Good afternoon.

Jo, so glad your blood work was noted by your team of experts. ♪♫ Banana nana bohanna ♪♫ Hope you're having a nice nap.

JudyE, not sure I understand who will/will not get a job but one way to stay semi-neutral is to simply say you believe the individual is or is not qualified for consideration.

Shirley, so glad no surgery is needed and, yes, perfect timing with no bright sunshine. Enjoyed seeing Rus again. This interview I think he does resemble you - the smile and around his eyes. Would he be interested or looked into FAA drone security?

Will be happy to see a post from Glo and her "family" reunion and a post from Suzan saying she has seen/talked with her doctor.

It will be interesting to see how J&J respond to New Year's eve celebration. With past critters, I have just turned up volume on the tv. Sure hope they won't be frightened should the teenagers decide to make a lot of noise.

A first for me ever. My "do" day is tomorrow. So, I just did some errands. Will try again tomorrow.

Sandi said...

Hi all.

Jo, now you relax and recuperate for 2 weeks, right? 1 round down!

Kay, I know what you mean about New Year's Eve night being loud - it usually is around here and I agree that it could be very scary for Janey. Since fireworks are illegal in South Bethany, it becomes very important to some young people (and some not so young) to defy the law and see if they can avoid being caught - the same is true on the 4th of July.

Yesterday I was walking Janey and she heard a shotgun blast from a hunter in the wildlife refuge area adjacent to our development. Janey startled and tried to bolt - good thing I had a solid grip on her leash, though she almost dislocated my shoulder! Bella and Jenni, on the other hand, don't hear much of anything when they're curled up under the blankets in their beds!

We saw a little sun early this afternoon but now it's gray again with more rain in the forecast. I think the forecast starting tomorrow afternoon is for lots of sunshine but cooler.

Nest is MT - I'd love to see our eagles spending more time in it!

Later all.

White beans
Dark leafy greens (ie spinach)
Baked potatoes with skin
Dried apricots
Acorn squash
Yogurt (plain)
Salmon
Avocados
Mushrooms (white)
Bananas
Pretty good stuff! Yum
Its been a good day. Chilly. I have tortellini soup ready for dinner.

Judie, how is Frank feeling?

Jo, don't forget your breakfast banana!

A thought for today - something I read on FB yesterday: "Do not move onto 2016 without letting go of something significant from 2015, an old idea, label, habit, fear, concern of ego. Let go to free up the whitespace for something new to enter."

I think I'll head back to bed for a bit. Getting my nails done at 10am.

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

JO, Janet's list is a good one, but should include tomatoes, especially sun-dried--nice and high in potassium. A couple of years ago following my annual, the doctor called to say my potassium was way too high. She prescribed a single Rx for that. Julie pointed out the fact that potassium was the main ingredient in the "NO SALT" I was using, so I went back to regular iodized salt in low quantities. No problem since. If you need a good jolt of that element, try "NO SALT", available along side Morton's Salt on the grocery shelf.

GLO, we're all as happy to have you safely home as Gabby and Zoey are. Well, almost!

JUDIE, hope Frank is feeling better with each passing day! Enjoy getting that "do".

SANDI, thanks for the point to ponder as we see the old year out tonight!

Chicken ala king tonight using leftover chicken. Tomorrow will be a New Year's superstition dinner. Pork (baby back ribs) smothered in sauerkraut and slow cooked along with doctored up Black Eye peas. Pork and peas are said to bring good luck in the new year. Hmmmmm.

Just meet my neighbor Came over asking about the privacy fence that is on the side of the yard next to her Wanted to know if it was my fence I told her I haven't a clue LOL There is only fence on three sides of my yard not in front so I assume it is not She wants to put in a new one and wanted to tear it down for now since she is putting up a new shed. I told her to go for it. Since I wan't sure who it was and being my front isn't enclosed because of my carport it would be ok
I do think it was this houses fence at one time but not sure So if she wants to replace it The reason I think that is because there is a 4x4 pole out next to the side of my house to here maybe they did have it fenced in but didn't have the carport closed off
Really doesn't matter to me since I have no dogs

Good early evening.

Got my "do" did and a couple of errands. So, now in for the duration of 2015. No interest in Times Square, etc. so plan to watch First 48 and hope J&J are not frightened should there be illegal neighborhood celebrations.

Jo, we have a hawk that hands out in our back yard. A red-something. When I see it and also see a squirrel, I fun out to try to scare it away. Really do need to Google hawks. Blessings for Jenny. She really is a gem. As for Master Elliot, since he's walking, I hope he walks on down to Norther Va. to visit me.

Don't know about IPADS. Perhaps JudyE's suggestion to check the battery is a good easy fix.

JudyE, please spend a few dollars to have your property line verified. Sometimes these fence/shed things get complicated and unpleasant and become a legal expense. Please do have your property line records updated.

Okay, left over chicken = chicken ala king. Already prepared. Now to put my feet up for a few. We are finding out that our boys like chicken. Darth and Jake shared some crab for lunch (when mom's away the boys do play).

I am headed to my recliner. J&J are snoozing in their downstairs Millie bed. Their end-of-year treat was baked people chicken and I believe they are now in a chicken induced coma. Hopefully, all will remain quiet.

Will watch First 48 and, when I awake, it will be a new year and a fresh beginning for me, for the momsters and dadsters, and for Belle and Shep.

Good evening,

Happy New Year a bit early. I am watching TV now--started out with ABC. Now I am watching CNN. I might make it until 12:00.

I think Hunter did enjoy the roast last night. He went back downstairs after we'd gone to bed. Told Kathryn he was hungry. I went down later on just to make sure he'd put things away and found the wrap around the roast had been disturbed. I re-wrapped it, but today when I came back from running errands, I found the remains of the roast sitting on the counter. All of the meat had been neatly removed from the center. Yes, I think he liked it.

One thing about watching all of the action in Times Square. It makes me happy to be snug in my own bed.

Welcome Virginia. Join us in 2016 for this eagle nesting season that will begin in earnest very soon.

Not a black eyed pea to be found at my grocery store yesterday. I dug through the freezer and found one small container from a year ago, so luck will be with me for the year. I'll also cook a pork roast and sauerkraut with mashed potatoes to ensure a good year.

I am so blessed to have found this friendly group.

Happy New Year to all. When I checked nest was empty with a pile of flugg. I am ready to leave 2015 behind. I'm sure good things happened for my family but we're outweighed by Rhonda's ongoing health issues. She still is getting fluid in lungs. Going for a kidney ultrasound next week. At least in 2015 my Don got a part-time job at Food Lion near home. We changed our internet and with the new cam I can enjoy the nest again. Plus I still have this wonderful Blog and all the people here for support and fellowship. Means a lot even though my schedule doesn't always allow participation. Take care all. I'm doing a pork roast, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes for our New Year's Dinner. Also have to get black-eyed peas.

Goodorming my eagle fiends - happy 2016! May it be a year filled with much joy and good health for each of you.

Welcome Virginia!

Hey Margy, how great to see you pop on this morning - hope all is well at your roost!!

It was nice to see posts from CarolAnne and Hoda yesterday as well.

I know nothing of black-eyed peas, pork roasts & sauerkraut bringing good luck - must not be a tradition that started in Baltimore.

We did stay up last night - got to bed around 1am. But then the dogs' stomachs and/or bladders woke them up at 6:30am. So I fed them and went back to sleep on the sofa - I'm getting pretty good at that!

Today was supposed to be the start of some sunny days but it's plenty gray here so far - also colder.

What I am letting go of from 2015 to make whitespace for 2016 is being the treasurer for the property owners association. I have been on the board in some capacity since 2007. But since last June's election of our new president, it has not brought me much joy. Yesterday an email arrived in my inbox from said president to the board that really raised my blood pressure - again. Then I recalled the quote I posted on the blog yesterday. Today I will be drafting my own email announcing my resignation, effective immediately.

Have agreyt day all.

Good morning,

Welcome, Virginia. Nice to see you on our blog.

Kathryn fixed a breakfast of sausage gravy, bacon, biscuits, and eggs this morning. Meanwhile, Hunter consumed almost all of the bacon.

I did manage to see the ball drop last night. I fell asleep at about 11:00, but woke up at 11:58. There were some fireworks in the neighborhood that caused some concern by our fur children, but things calmed down fairly quickly.

I could find no canned blackeyed peas in the store yesterday, but did find a bag of dried ones. They're soaking in a pot on the back of the stove. I saw some sauerkraut, but I think I would be the only one interested in eating it, so I did not buy any. We can have pork roast, peas, potatoes and green beans.

I had never experienced sauerkraut with potatoes until I lived in Ohio.

Happy New Year everyone. Welcome Virginia . I actually got out with my eagle lens early this am. There are half dozen or so eagles at the Marina. Small number for Jan but they were there and I did snap a few photos. Beautiful way to start a new day and a new year. Prayers for each of you and your friends and family to have a really great 2016. I am going to start a blessings jar where I will post blessings in the new year. It is good to count our blessings. Oh you bet this Blog will be in there very very quickly. Love to all.

good afternoon and HAPPY 2016 TO ONE AND TO ALL!
welcome to VIRGINIA> hoping you will feel inclined to join in conversations!

I just got up about an hour ago. but let me say that I didn't get much sleep last night. no, sigh, no big time partying, just two unsettled little dogs.

we went to the kids house to watch the gkids. it wasa quiet evening. livvy feeling under the weather...the others occupied with movies, leggos, etc. easy enough nite.

most were falling asleep (including me) by 10 ish. I did see the ball drop..as mia was doing a very loud 10-9-8 countdown, which was fine, in my sleepy voice I joined in!

then it was lights out.

yeah. beano, who hates change of any sort did not like the idea of sleeping in this place. I had his kennel, but no, that was not to his liking. as long as I snuggled dax he settled in, and beano finally did, sort of....and then the kids came home....and then the dogs needed to potty.....okay, then beano paced...and paced...and paced.....finally got him settled (yes he had a thundershirt on)....and a couple hours later, hey mom, we need to potty ...again.....really? well it was around 5 a.m. the "normal" wake up time.....ugh.

finally around 7 am. the human children started to wake and we packed up and headed home....I started the beans, made coffee for tom and I collapsed in the bed.

now I love kraut. had I thought ahead, I could have made some and taken it to Chelsea and chris to share, but I didn't think about that. hmmm, I will next week as I will see them then.

anyway, dinner today....being southern, tom's tradition is black eyed peas, which is doen'st like. we both like white beans. so I made a crock of white beans with some black eyed peas thrown in for good measure. I had prechopped all the soup veggies yesterday and put them in a container so this a.m. all li had to do was toss them in the crock pot along with beans that had been soaking for a couple of days. I put in some baking soda to take the "gassiness" out of the beans....and let them cook.

it was nice knowing dinner was fixing itself as I caught up on some sleep.!

JERRY: holding you and RHONDA closed in my heart for improved health in 2016!
and holding each of you close for you for your needs and hoping we each have a 2016 full of positive events, light and love and that we may find a way to each color the various corners of our life with increased love and positivity.

:)

And, that we may have a FABULOUS nesting season!!!!! :) :) :)

love and hugs to all. Happy 2016!

Happy New Year to all! May it be a year of healing, good health and happiness for all! Love and hugs!

Welcome Virginia! Ahhh....Norma! She is so special, miss her on here!

And Margy!!!!!! Gee whiz, girl you need to pop in here more often. Can not tell you how much you are missed!

Jack and I saw the ball drop....at 11 our time! Stayed up till 12 and beyond...til 2! We were playing a game, Shut the Box, and enjoying it! Slept til 10 this morning! Never, ever, do that! LOL

Well, Queen, you might not see bears, but you get to see eagles!

Was watching the eagles in the nest. But, first I heard them and so did Skippi and she attacked my laptop. Seriously! Anyway, saw one eagle then another flew in. Anyone watching know which eagle was which. I have lost track and Belles white neck feathers have changed!

Many people here eat blackeye peas on New Years Day. Never have done that, chili and cornbread for us tonight!

Congratulations to everyone for getting through the first day of 2016.

Congratulations to Lynne2 on her eagle sighting. What a terrific way to begin a new year. How are the horses?

It was nice to see Margy stopped by. Hope all is going well in her world.

Ah Loweeeda, you have been Southernized. lol Now you just need to practice your drawl, y'all.

Dinner over. Scullery in order. Off to put my feet up. No doubt, two furry boys will arrive to keep me company. Darth is doing well.

Wishing everyone a night of restful sleep.

Happy New Year to one and all!

Pork and Sauerkraut in my house for New Year's and also a redheaded man had to be the first to come in your house for guarantee of health and wealth. My mother was extremely superstitious and came from the western part of NC. My daughter prefers Hoppin' John and she got that from her paternal grandmother, coastal NC. Today I had neither. Don't feel like it! haha

Lynne, there is nothing to compare to seeing an eagle in the wild. Nothing. And I have seen a bear. That was pretty darn cool though.
