Thinking of you and tomorrow's scheduled procedure!JO, you and your regimen of treatments are in my thoughts as well!Last day with Malcolm as his family will return sometime this evening. They're driving in from Falling Waters, PA, their last vacation stop.Another day with threat of rain and temp in the 80's here. Tomorrow the skies clear and the temp drops about 20 degrees. No more rain or 80's til' Sunday! Yeah! Our eaglets are at such a delightful stage---a joy to behold!Prayers for all in need!!!♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

good afternoon to all. just finishing up a cup of coffee to get my afternoon rolling. THANK YOU STEVE for the nice new thread and to KAY for the call over!I've spent the day running livvy for her allergy shot, a quick stop at Walmart, and then house work. seems my elves go on strike when I am not home and things simply do not get done...dishwasher not run, dishes in the sink, animal hair running amuck with out animals attached, cats had a cat box party and the litter pan was full (certainly our two felines could not have made that much .....) so busy day.next Monday is the last day of school fo rthe year. I need to post grades and such and will do that next Monday.getting some much needed liquid sunshine over the past couple days. nothing steady, but showers. it soaks in !will check on everyone later. yes, back to the daily grind, but I feel oh so much better about it all!hugs and love to all
Lynne2, I tried my AC last night...wouldn't turn on...put on a new thermostat...maybe it's miswired is my hope...if not, I'll have to call the repair guy too....who is probably busy as heck!
One at the top of the nest and the other at the launch pad.Ducky looks smooshed into the middle of the nest!
And our eaglets are looking really sleek! The nest near my house has 2 eaglets I think...I haven't got a close up look lately...but they haven't fledged yet.
I am alive and well(?) but I am here with my friends. Just returned from sit down appointment with Dr Oh - cancer doc. He is pleased with the radiation treatment I received Dr Ohwants a CT one month from now and then the month following I will get the CT for the radiation doc. Oh doesn't like to wait too long for which I can appreciate. Even if the CT in July is clear - I will receive 2 Chemo treatments as a precautionary measure. They will keep a check on me forevermore ♥

Good late afternoon.Checking in before heading to the scullery.Eaglets are making me nervous. Both standing on the crib rails balancing. Wonder if they know they don't yet have their flying licenses? Do wish they would return to the center nest.Sunshine and thunder here. BBL
Just checked nest and juries walking around and getting too close to the edge for my liking.Another sunny day here in Anchorage. May be able to do a little birding later this afternoon. Just seeing the backyard birds so far.Hope everyone is doing well....Yay Jo on your Dr. Report.
I see Judie shares my concern. Julvies. Auto correct again.
I ditto with the juvies being on the edge I get scurred LOL JO good report LYNNE1 hope you do get so more birds Is it daylight there more or dark now?? Looks like juvies are wet wetON AUTO correct you can add the word to your dictionary that is what I did

Hi all - just a minute to check the box so comments come to my inbox. Jo, good to hear that your doctor is encouraged. I so admire your positive attitude!! Prayers continue for you.Judie, sending positive energy your way for a successful procedure tomorrow.Janet, congrats to you and Livvy on a successful first year of home schooling! I'm glad it has been a positive experience for both of you.I thought today would never end but most of the meetings went well. I had 1 parent show up at 2pm and was irate that I made her wait in the main office until my 1:30 meeting ended at 2:30. When I showed her the invitation to the meeting that she had signed and returned with a meeting time of 12:30 and explained that, when she wasn't there, we had the meeting without her, she changed her tune!I had another mother basically accuse me of making up some of the information I included in her daughter's IEP, until I showed her the Parent Input Form that SHE had completed and sent in to school, which is where I got the information!! This evening I have to call the parents who didn't come to today's meetings to share what we discussed at their child's meeting and then revise 1 IEP b/c the student has decided she never really wanted to be a vet tech, which is what she told me 2 months ago when I wrote her IEP. Now she wants to be a musician - alrighty then!! Actually, I'm not upset with the student - I hate that I have to ask 14 year olds what they want to do after they graduate b/c I have to include post secondary education and career goals in their IEPs. Most 14 year olds don't know what they'll be doing 4 days or 4 weeks from now, much less 4 years from now!Tomorrow is another day of back to back meetings, but then transition meetings will be a thing of the past for me!! I can do this!! Goodnight all - see you in the early AM!
both adult in
one poofed already one feeding kids
JO! I'm so happy with your great news and will keep the prayers coming!Paula, I hope you at least have some fans and a shore breeze! Yes the AC dudes are very busy. Ours was supposed to try to come today but looks like it will be tomorrow....UGH! Worst day so far. Had to take the dogs outside in the play yard in the shade where there was a breeze. It was 89 degrees in here this afternoon w/ 60% humidity. OMG! It's down to 84 but now with 65% humidity in here. But it's down to 74 outside...our little fans just are no match for the heat. They are TRYING to pull some cooler air in!LOL Janet! I can hear my mother's voice saying how it was more work coming back from a vacation than just staying home! Well, while the cat is away......HANG IN THERE SANDI!Sorry you didn't get to go birding Lynne.
another round of storms arriving now...poor Daisy! I did get her to come out to eat between them though....but I'll think she'll be hiding in the bathroom all night as it looks like even more may be on the way....
Good mid-evening.Sandi, so sorry the day was sprinkled with hassles. Hang in there. It is almost over.I will be away from my computer for a few days. Sandperson will be on autopilot. Programmed departure time will be 11pm. Sleepy dust is in good supply.Hoping the eaglets don't get too enthusiastic about flying just yet. Wishing each and everyone one of you a wonderful few days.Restful sleep for all and for all a good night.
I see lightening on the cam frequent

did you all hear about Dolly wood eagle cam?a foster bobble head for them their eggs weren't viable so they got a foster chick thought what a heart warming story ""5-15-15: AFTERNOON UPDATE! This morning, May 15th) the AEF made the decision to visit Independence and Franklin's nest to perform a physical inspection of the eggs, because they were so long overdue from their expected hatch dates. There were no signs of pips or chirping. The eggs were then "candled" to check for development and growth within the eggs, and they were both confirmed to be undeveloped and infertile.Independence and Franklin still get to be parents this year, however! They were given and are now "fostering" an Eaglet that hatched from an egg produced by captive Bald Eagle breeding pair "Isaiah" and "Mrs. Jefferson." The egg was found on the ground in Eagle Mountain Sanctuary in March.Despite the AEF's despairing belief that the egg missed a very vital incubation period, it was still transferred to their incubation room with high hopes. It miraculously hatched 36 days later! Independence and Franklin have thus far accepted it as their own.The AEF wishes to monitor the nest and also troubleshoot the "overhead" cam which tends to go down often. The plan is to go live again on Monday morning. Thanks to DragonLainey for providing these first 2 videos! More to come, along with photos.Frank's first feeding of new eaglet - https://youtu.be/0F2VbpqwqNgIndy meets & feeds new eaglet - https://youtu.be/It57DPBl-k0""
Great story Judy! It's been storming here for HOURS. I'm going to break my cardinal rule of never showering during a storm because I'm so SO hot and sweaty.......
Goodorming my eagle friends. It's raining here this morning. The last of my transition/IEP meetings are today.Prayers for continued healing for Jo and special prayers for Judie this morning that all goes well.Have agreat day.
Good Morning Eagle BudsCongrats SANDI for being doneEaglets look all wet
Good morning,Thinking of Judie this morning. I will be back after I get Hunter off to school.
Hi,The boy is at school. A warm, damp morning here. Yay, Sandi. Hope today's meetings go well. Interesting information on the eagles, Judy. Oh my, Lynne. I do hope you get that air conditioning fixed very soon. And you, too, Paula. So humid here today.
I don't think we have to worry about eaglets sitting on the crib rails and falling out of the nest... How many years have we been watching, seeing generations of juvies doing the same thing, and not a one has ever fallen out? Soon enough they will be testing the air currents...
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!I, too, am holding JUDIE in my thoughts today. Also praying for JO--so grateful for the encouraging news! We've seen and heard of many eaglets who've fallen over their crib rails, so we know it can happen. I think our view is a bit distorted and that the rails are higher and more of a barrier than we think as we look on. Like Barbara says, so far so good here at Sycamore Palace.Penny is peacefully sleeping as she recoups from days of having to keep track of every move made by Malcolm. Julie says he's doing the same thing!SANDI, so glad your seeing the last of the IEP meetings! That lifts a big weight off your shoulders----glad you've been able to substantiate your reports, subtlety giving some parents "what for" when needed!!!Prayers for all in need!!!♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Good morning to all ♥As my eyes opened earlier my thoughtsturn to Judie and now I am hoping theprocedure has successfully completedI didn't get back on last evening -the storm lasted longer then I thought it would and I had turned off computer earlier.
My two May birthday daughters are coming by around the noon hour to pick me up for lunch. Should be funI'll be back later this afternoon.
Hi, Everyone,Dropping in to say good morning.Jo and Judie are both on my mind today, and I'm sending up prayers for both of you. Hoping Judie's procedure is over successfully, and she will be able to rest and recover peacefully and quickly.Judy, what a heartwarming update about Independence and Franklin! That is one blessed little hatchling! So awesome that they have adopted that baby!I'm a nervous wreck watching our two juvies. Too close to the edge for me!I will be away from the computer today because we need to clear out more of the huge boxes of STUFF in the garage. Want to be able to get the car back in the garage, so need to either throw away or relocate a huge amount of things that got packed up when the water leak started. Would much prefer to dynamite and start over! Perhaps we should look into renting a bulldozer and a dumpster! Kay, I hope both Penny and Malcolm recover from their visit after a couple of "power naps"!Emma always does some concentrated deep sleep after returning from a stay at "Puppy Camp" when we vacation, too. I bet her sleep gets interrupted a lot by barking dogs and unfamiliar noises. They always play with her a lot to try to use up some of her limitless energy, too.Lynne2, hope your A/C gets fixed soon! Can totally sympathize, since we don't have A/C. So grateful for our huge ficus trees! We'd be in big trouble without their shade!Well, hope everyone has a wonderful day! Will try to check back in after dinner tonight. Ken and Emma both say "Howdy!"I ♥ us!!!
