I want to bring this information over from the earlier thread
I am excited to help
spread the word about this Fund Raiser for our NCTC Eagle Cam

Friends of the National Conservation Training Center
Did you know that we help fund the eagle cam at the NCTC? Many of you know, we're currently raising funds to improve the camera and buy new equipment so that eagle-lovers and conservationists will have a much-improved view of the eagles in their nesting habitat. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to purchase new camera equipment, cabling, and employing local tree experts.

Thank you to all you who have made donations! With your help we're looking forward to much-better viewing next year!

If you're interested in contributing to our Eagle Cam Fund, please visit our website at www.friendsofnctc.org. Please choose Eagle Cam as your preference for your donation.

Good just noon-time.

Thank you Steve for the fresh sunshiny thread.

Mentioning Jerry going on a golf outing - Jerry, say hello to Tiger as you meet him at the Master's. That IS where you going, right?

Glo, how sweet that Patches is also a cat sitter.

Thank you Jo for the contribution info.

Okay, off to relax from doing nothing. NOTHING! Lizard sitting done.

JudyE - I have sent out email to all Momsters, Announced the fund raising on this blog - my FB page - Eaglet Momster FB page.
Debi Terri and Christine are posting
on their Eagle Cam.

Friends of NCTC has posted on the OD Cam page - I should be getting email back from Amy at Friends on the 15th. Pay Pal keeps the running account on their site.

As for the other FB eagle groups - IF it gets posted I think their moderators should do it - Not me. I am not familiar with them well enough to comment and ask support.

None of FB Eagle Peeps groups are set up for donations.

Just more or less waiting to hear from Friends group. We are already pass $1000.00 Whoo Hoo !

Good evening.
We are home safe and sound and very loved by the dogs!!
Can't wait to go this week to see the new WCC puppies.
Thanks Kay for keeping my dad on your prayer list and to everyone for keeping him in your prayers.
Can't believe it's back to school on Monday! Yuck! Not sure what my count down is, but I must be around 40 since that is about where Sandi is for her countdown.
JudyE thanks for the link to the eagle nests. There was one listed close to the campground, but we couldn't find it. I don't think it was active anymore. The last date they had listed was 2013. Oh well. I would have explored more had we had time.

Thanks Jo for the info. to donate for the cam. I will get to that this week after payday! :)

Happy Birthday, Paula!!

I'm off and running to the tub with my book! Then I hope to get some good sleep tonight. I was so stressed last night from the drive. We hit tons of traffic throughout the day which added to an already scheduled long day (11 hours planned). We took a detour and it started raining, it was dark and I was not happy. I think that is why I was up til 1 am, but at least I got to hear about the puppies as they entered the world!

JudyEddy said...

DANAMO that site has the same info on my active nest Just isn't updated through the state I guess

Has anyone tried to see it they can get the same kind of map I just googled bald eagle map in Fl and was surprised came up as NEST LOCATOR

Welcome home, Dana. Know you enjoyed your week.

We enjoyed our day at the Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival. Looking is what we did. Saw lots of paintings, sculpture, photography, and much talent with out of this world price tags! We enjoyed looking. Also enjoyed listening to the Fort Worth Symphony as well as other musical groups.

Also, we ate there, not at a vendor but a nice restaurant. Sat outside, the weather was beautiful and people watching very interesting.

Presently watching the STARS hockey game on TV. Michael and Zach are there. Michael says they have been on TV, so looking for them. Lol

Good SUNNY Sunday morning to all ♥
Looking out of those cleaned windows must be blinding !
Sandi, Elliot is four month old and he weighs 16 lbs 10 oz. He is 25 in long. Quite an armful now.
Judi, have a busy day at work so it seems to zoom right by.

No special plans today (that's the norm for me). I just play it by ear!

Our 2 peeps are still huddle together in the center of the nest.

GM eagle watchers.

Yesterday was another birding outing to nearby locations. We saw two eagle nests that appear to be active. Also 3 sub adults. One of them even caught a fish in my binocular view while I was watching loons.

The temps here are to be in the mid 60's today-- I can live with that.

Hope all have a better than average day.

Judie said...

Good morning.

Two eaglets basking in the sunshine.

Loons are swimming after mating.

Happy Eastern Orthodox Easter.

Sunshine, blue sky here.

Wishing everyone a lovely day.

Goodorming more eagle friends. I still have not seen a parent in the nest this morning.

glo said...

Good Sunday morning everyone. All is well here in IL. Hoping all is well in your little nest of this world too. Off to coffee and dog treats and then church.

Sandi said...

Now both parents in the nest and LOTS of calling out!!

Sandi said...

Quiet now. One parent just took off. Something must have flown too close to the nest and both parents were on it!! Kids are still plotzed without a care in the world.

Sandi said...

Parent is standing at noon - partially out of view - and is now feeding one. The other still looks passed out.

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

Oh, happy day!!! The cam fund is growing fast---at this rate twill be fully funded in no time. Remember last year we were told the sycamore tree is in jeopardy? Guess such an investment would not be in the offing if the tree has a limited life span ahead??? Maybe I misunderstood that old communication.

DANA, glad you're safely home after such a grueling last day on the road. When do you plan to go see n' touch the puppies? Let us know so we can watch for you!

It's a gorgeous day for Eastern Orthodox Easter celebrants here in Central Ohio! Another wonderful day for dog walkers, like me!

LYNNE1, what a grand birding day you had! Gives me a shivery thrill just to read about it!

Thanks to all eagle and loon reporters! Ain't we got fun?!!

Seth didn't come home this weekend, but called yesterday afternoon to say all is well with him! What a guy! He never fails to remember his grandmother.

Prayers for all in need!!!

Having an absolutely horrendous day keeping the cam going. Seems we all "take turns" at this PIA! event.

Will check on other cams and enjoy all the babies while I can.

Have a great day!

Good afternoon,

I see the shadow of an adult and two flopped eaglets in the sunshine. Quiet here. Kathryn is off with friends and Hunter is at his dad's.

Hope you do get that rain, Lolly.

So nice that you heard from Seth, Kay. It is so nice to get that grandkid love.

I would love to go out and see two eagle nests, Lynne1. Lucky you.

Hope you can get that cam working, Suzan.

Hope Darth is able to enjoy some time off from the tax stuff, Judie. It is a beautiful spring day in Virginia.

Hi, Everyone,

We're back home, and so's Emma!

Had a grand time at Welk Resort; beautiful weather, good food, and good company. According to Puppy Camp, Emma soaked up all their attention like a sponge, and enjoyed her stay, too.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, PAULA!!!
Hope your day was just spectacular!

Managed to get everything unpacked and put away, and the house is vacuumed. Now what I need is a nap with Emma. Sis-in-law and I sat up last night talking, and I got to bed at 2:30 a.m.! Right now, my feet are going up, and my eyelids are going down! Will be back later.
Have a wonderful evening, everyone! I ♥ us!!!

Wishing everyone a wonderful day.

Mema Jo said...

Good Monday Morning To All ♥

I am amazed at the growth of our eaglets in less then a month. Those Talons and the sitting on their tails gives me a chuckle.

44 days and in the count down - You are doing great Sandi. Wishing we could all get together to share in your joy of the last day teaching.

Judie don't let the weeds put you down with aches and pains.. I see some dandelions in our yard that need to be tackled.

stronghunter said...

Good morning,

Been out taking care of errands this morning. Visited Dracula for some blood work. Stopped by the grocery store to pick up some things I forgot yesterday.

stronghunter said...

Dandelions here as well.

All four family members at the Sycamore palace. Feeding is taking place. I guess they are having duck for lunch.

stronghunter said...

Felt sorry for a little boy having blood work done while I was visiting Dracula. He was very upset. Not my favorite activity, but, depending on the skill of the technician, it is usually not as painful as it looks. Hard to explain this to a child, though.

I did remember to drink some water before I went. That makes the process easier.

stronghunter said...

Yeah, do not let murdering weeds be a pain for you, Judie.

Lolly said...

Good morning! Uh oh! Whatever you do, do NOT let Hoda know you are murdering Dandelions! 😜. She will shame you!

Really murdered weeds yesterday and Jack joined in on the fun!

Today I better clean the bathroom, pick up, and a little grocery shopping would make Jubby happier!

Need to start thinking about our upcoming trip! In 4 weeks we leave for Italy. Want to get a couple of new comfortable outfits as well as another pair of comfortable walking shoes. We will have a washer and dryer in our apartment, so we do not have to pack a lot of clothes, just a few changes! Yea!

Time to get busy!

glo said...

Good Monday everyone. I finally found something Patches likes to play with as much as Gabby's green ball lol. She also ate a milkbone for the first time. Took her a while to figure out how to actually chew on it but she got it. 3rd time I have offered her one. It is sad to me that this beautiful dog lived in a cage for 8 yrs, with no clue even about dog treats. THAT IS ALL CHANGING as quickly as I can change it.

stronghunter said...

Very sad that Gabby lived in a cage for so long, Glo, but wonderful that she has you now. :)

stronghunter said...

Another feeding taking place at our nest. At the 12:00 NHZ. Can see just a little bit of the adult.

glo said...

No No Gabby didn't live in a cage for 8 yrs Gabby is the cat who is the owner of The Green Ball. Patches lived in the cage for 8 years. She fell in love with Gabby's Ball. I have been on the hunt for something for Patches to play with and finally found it. Gabby is 13 yrs old and loves her ball. I couldn't let Patches have it. BUT Patches now has her own cherished little round toy that even squeaks. :-)
