Eveing, all!

The eagles have returned! Saw one soaring over the water at work today! Talked to my neighbor and he has seen one over here by my house!

that means the osprey have all migrated

Shirley, I hate it when you go to the store, and you come home to find you are out of something that you didn't buy!

Kay, so happy to hear that Seth is enjoying school!

Judie, hope you feel better. How are the new wannabes?

The new Heat pump is going to be installed, starting tomorrow. Nick is going to day camp, LOL. Murdock said he will keep him during the day until they are done. They have to jackhammer under one room to get some new vents in there.

Shoot, missed our eagle. The sun is setting here now at 7pm!

Oh, forgot to mention that I was looking at the water during a smoke break at work a couple of weeks ago. I was watching an osprey...he flew out of the tree, hovered over the water for a few minutes, dove, got a fish, did an "8" pattern around his tree, then landed with his fish in the tree!

The eagle today was just soaring on the thermals!

good monday evening.

JUDIE: feel better .....
HODA: here we go again, the fashion statement: socks and sandals! :) hey, i hate my toes cold too!!

JUDYE: where is BM? Boston Market by chance?

saw something interesting this afternoon....a flock ? of vultures...20+ of them circling nearby. if I didn't have to go to get olivia, i may have investigated!

very cool watching them ride the heat currents...

the end of a very beautiful day.

work was super. the weather was glorious.

after work, i came home. olivia is wanting to ear a few extra bucks so i had her to wash the wagon. i went out and vacuumed the pool.

i only got in to my shins. (stood on the ladder). the water is down to a cool 77 degrees now.

but the skies were clear and bright and the sun was warm so it was nice vacuuming.

a friend came over and adopted a large queen palm tree that i had. chelsea had given it to me as her cats ate it and got sick. well, guess what. my dumb butt cats ate it too. its ben outside since the weather warmed up and it was quite large.

but, can't bring it back in due to the cats.

my friend has no cats. so she came and got it today! hurray! it has a lovely home and we are both happy!

monday night shows start tonight. i have showered and am sitting here in my eyeore jammies just waiitng!!

thank you all for weighing in on the blankets. i will do some online research. i think she would appreciate such an item.

hope everyone has a lovely evening...light, love and hugs...

The clock over the firehouse 2 blocks over is WONKY! It's gone CATTYWAMPUS!

Oh, it still chimes the correct number of times on the hour, and once on the half. But every half hour, at 2o past and then at 10 of, it chimes like crazy now up to 39 times, and then it adds one more chime on those half hours.

I am sure glad I don't live closer!!!

Hi Paula,

Yes, I hate it too, when I forget something I need. I am one of those people who does not make a grocery list, so I just have to deal with forgotten items.

I can tell you that at least two convenience stores in our area are out of mayonnaise. Good grief. Guess I will have to go back to the big grocery store.

Good late night eagle friends. Haven't posted since my Canada trip a couple of weeks ago. I wrote a long post from there but forgot I was out of the country and didn't want to buy a data rate plan for a couple of days. I wanted to tell HODA that I got a loony Amazing area around the falls and very clean.
Today I visited LORI'S town with some good longtime friends fromTX who were passing through..We saw Phil and Phyllis and finally found Gobbler's Knob. My friends bought the movie Groundhog Day and we watched it for the evening's entertainment. I may come back some day whenever they finish construction that caused the detour. We ate lunch at Punxy Phil's.
Wishing the best for all of you..SED

Lolly said...

Heading to bed now! Lots to do tomorrow.

Night all! SED!

Hoda said...

Yay GRANNYBLT got a loony!
We had better be careful because someone we know and love dearly has gone loony and if she finds out that this is the currency in Canada she might tell me I am loony!!!
Just remember that we also have twony to go with the loony so it might be said that North of the 49th we are a bunch of loony toonies!!!
Ha ha ha
GRANNYBLT next trip to Canada you have to come to BC

Good Evening!

Have been MIA over the weekend. Our friend Jim is back in the hospital since very early Saturday morning. He had a good week last week at home--feeling mostly like an 8 out of 10. Then, Sat. morning he felt really LOUSY. His blood pressure keeps going very low while he is sleeping, and it wakes him up. He's back in Hoag Hospital in the Telemetry area, all hooked up, to see what's going on. We visited him on Sunday, and he was feeling somewhat better. Please pray for him, if you are prompted to do so. His COPD doesn't seem to even be an issue. His breathing is in excellent shape with his medications. This is a puzzling situation, even for his doctors.
I just pray that God gives his doctors the wisdom to figure this out!

I'm hoping that Lori and Judie feel better very soon!

Lynne2, gracious! With all those bells going on, I would be a little batty myself! Hope they can fix it soon!

Lolly, hope your grandson is doing fine. That must've been scary!

Margy, good to see you here! That's rough that you can't get on the blog at work. I miss you when you're not here! Hope things are OK with you.

Well, I'm getting pretty tired, so think I'll call it a day. The porch light is on, and both security systems are enabled. God bless, and goodnight! I love all of you! I ♥ us!!!

Good Morning everyone!

Finally, all caught up. I've been one busy student. Grades are getting back to normal...got an 89 & a 91 on Friday's test and yesterday's test. Today's test is on vital signs - there's more to it than it seems...all the behind the scenes science stuff.

Yesterday was mega frustrating. Had spend the weekend trying to get ahead and yesterday the teacher dumped 3 extra homework assignments on us plus a short 3 paragraph paper. Think she is trying to push some over the edge. It almost worked. LOL

Got up early this morning to study - 3am....just couldn't get into it at 9:30 last night.

SHIRLEY, glad you got all your plants delivered. That's the way I did in when I lived in CA, had them deliver everything since they were coming to my house anyway.

KAY, Happy Fall - oops, bad word on this blog -- Happy Autumn!

LOLLY, sorry about your trip to Estes...can you pick another place? Autumn is so beautiful.

Leaves have started changing color here. Really noticed it on the drive to school yesterday.

HODA, wool socks for you now, I guess. Darn. I know you love your sandles. Me too. I hate having hot feet!

JUDIE, hope you're feeling better. This cold is a slow mover. Hope you don't have the same thing, but nothing worse, either. Big Hugs!

SANDI, thinking of you missing Brian.

Got to get a move on and go through my notes one more time.

Love you ALL!!!!!

Good morning Lori and all my eagle friends!

Lori, YAY!!! Great test scores!!! BOO - bad teacher, loading everyone down with even more work!!

Andy, so sorry to hear that your friend is back in the hospital - hope the docs can figure out what's wrong and get him back home.

Hoda, if I had to be in a hat and gloves and long underwear on a boat, then I wouldn't be on the boat! That would be NO fun for me - hate being cold.

Lolly, sorry to hear that Joseph took a hard hit in the game. I'm glad neither of my boys wanted to play football!!

Today I have my first ever echocardiogram b/c my doctor found a heart murmur when I had my physical in August. Should be nothing, right??

Busy day, state testing, then an IEP team mtg., then off to the cardiologist for this test - hope I don't have to become a regular patient. Don't want a cardiologist - nothing personal!

Make it a great day all!

Good morning,

Just a moment to check in this morning. It's bowling day. I did not practice at all this past week. Have been quite busy.

Congrats on the good grades, Lori.

Prayers and best wishes for your friend Jim, Andy.

You are off to an early start, Janet.

Lynne2, I just don't know . . . I hope they fix that bell.

Nice to see you back Granny. Sounds like you have done a lot of traveling since your last post.

Yikes, Hoda, I was thinking what Sandi was thinking. I wouldn't want to be on a boat when it was cold enough to wear wool socks. I guess I did do it once, though. We went whale-watching in Norfolk on a cold day. Did not see any whales. Almost got seasick.

stronghunter said...

Hope all of the tests go well, Sandi. Medical and otherwise.

Hoda said...

Good morning.

LORI very pleased you are happy with grades. Glad you rested last night. Wishing you be healed from your cold.

SANDI good luck with the heart test.
I was born with a murmur and no big deal.
It was in my forties when I was told I had always had it!
When I feel it its just for seconds and goes back to even beating.

The boat yes SANDI AND SHIRLEY. I hear you. I will be warm. Maybe the rain will hold off. I volunteered and backing out would leave them short handed. I can not do that! The tests are important for the health of the lake.

OK off to get ready

Enjoy the day everyone.

Lolly said...

Good morning! Lots to do today getting ready for family visit.

Loved my loonies and my twonies we dealt with last fall, Hoda! Enjoy your day and stay warm!

Andy, prayers for your friend. Hope they find the problem fast!

Lori, good job! I certainly hope all this testing is teaching you correctly. I always have thought that hands on is much better way to learn.

I do love the crispness outside -
BUT no 5 hr boat paddling for me, Hoda. I love your spunk!

Lolly enjoy your family's visit and
hope the Park soon gets cleaned up so you can still go.

Exciting News from the American Eagle Foundation!
Beginning October 1, 2013, the AEF will be video streaming a wild Bald Eagle nest live from Northeast Florida. The stars of this new virtual reality show are “Romeo” and “Juliet” – a pair of Bald Eagles that have been occupants of their huge nest for many years.
I am anxious to view these two.

Well Folks the deed is done!!!
Saw the first fresh snow of the season this morning at 6:50 AM in Balfour.
Beautiful just simply beautiful!
Wild life count for the morning included Deer, eagles( three adults and a Juvie) Herrons, Gerbers, and Geese.
I am glad I was dressed for it. It however was not at all uncomfortable.
The trees are starting their breath taking changes.
I feel blessed to live here.
There was a Naturalist on the Boat and he is the best one from this area. The history was very interesting.
