Good Morning Eagleholics! Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day at the nest. Sunny with a high of 55. woohooo

Just read back and saw Andy had a bee infestation. Good grief, sounds like a Hitchcock movie. YIKES Glad you got out of there unscathed!!

Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to the weekend. I AM!!!!

LOL Shirley, I was with you on Dana's comment...had to re read what she had typed. I was trying to figure out why she was going to paint an old dress red. Then I realized she meant dresser. Too funny! So, Dana, you must let us see pictures of the old dress painted red. :)

I don't think I can watch ok Belle in in cup and chick turned around to here they were getting close to the edge for me

JudyEddy said...

Belle is in the cup now but Hedgie is still not in in both are not in it

Sandi said...

As our chicks get more mobile, I think it's important for all of us to remember that the nest only looks "flat" because of the camera angle. We are such a bunch of mother hens, or are we mother eagles?? =)

Mema Jo said...

lol Sandi - we are the Momsters ! ♥

Sandi said...

I've been noticing that, when Shep arrives with grass, or a stick, or to relieve Belle, she is quiet. When he brings food, THEN we hear her "siren" as Judy calls it.

Looks like our chicks have grown to the point that it's hard for even Belle to fit both of them under her! Looks like she has positioned herself to block them from the wind.

I am still at school on a professional work day that one can't take off :( and saw that our nest is visible again. Yah Hoo. Our nest has the worst luck with the cameras. Boy have those little ones grown since I could last get on to see them; Hedgie and Shammie. The last I saw was all that snow, and I could hardly look.

It is so nice to see you all on here chatting away. It sounds as if the little ones are being well fed. Belle and Shep are two great parents.

Sandi said...

Candy, I am shocked!!! Cannot imagine even a public school system that would expect employees to work on Good Friday!! I'd say that's taking separation of church and state a little too far!! And how can they forbid a teacher from taking a personal business day??

Anonymous said...

I have the week off after Easter so hopefully I can now watch our nest a bit; that is if I can keep my husband off of Farmville.:) He has the bug bad!!!!

Better go before I get discovered. Hope you are all having a wonderful day watching the nest and just enjoy ing life.

Sandi, it is something new within the last two years. I don't think it will happen again. The children had a half day yesterday and we still had to stay the afternoon. PLUS we just got a new Principal and everyone is feeling each other out yet. It is a bummer tho.

Sandi said...

Candy, sounds like you need to get yourself some kind of tablet so you and your husband can both be online! Ipads are a little pricier but I can view the nest with my Kindle Fire. Maybe a Mother's Day gift???

Boy that sure sounds like a plan, Sandi. I keep telling him that I am going to get my own lap top. Fat chance. I see where you are in your 28th year. I am in my 29th year of Kindergarten and am going to go for one more, if I don't scare the kids with my wrinkles. Oh, we haven't had any optional work days this year, but for the last day. They changed to Staff development days and have to be worked. Have seen the calendars for the next two school years and they do seem to have optional work days again. At my age and time in, and all the sick days I have accumulated, I could just tell them that I'm taking off. But then, I'd be hurting my teacher.

Sandi said...

Candy, this is my 29th year - 22 years in Baltimore County and now 7 years in Indian River. Planning to do 3 more in DE to continue health insurance benefits, and I'll get a pension from each school system.

This district tacks teacher days on after the kids are finished (either 2 or 3). I always save my personal days and then use them all for those stupid staff development days in June!

A Kindle Fire is only $199 - a lot less than a laptop. No 3G capability but, as long as you have a wifi network at home, you're good! I give you my permission to treat yourself! =)
