I just got clearance from the Elkins  Ecological Services Field Office to allow our tech go to the nesting tree.  Hopefully he can get things resolved.

Great news although I really don't want to see the nest until after the snow passes. Skeered about it.

I had to postpone my ultrasound appointment this morning. Can't get off my hill. :(

Thanks Steve for the fresh thread and the update on the nest info.

Good snowy Spring morning - this is ridiculous in my book! Things here had started to melt and now it is snowing steadily again.

Glo and Kay - so hoping you have not strained your backs and anyother places on your bodies. Penny and Dex you should be very thankful!

Thank you Steve for the thresh thread and the nest update. We all truly appreciate your support.

Well, Jo, you could have kept the steady snow in the valley, please and thank you. It has already arrived in N.VA. Just not sticking on the street. Loweeda and I have about the same amount.

Sorry about the postponed appt. Shar but better to be safe.

Glo, so glad you did have help. Please take care.

Hello to Mr. Bob.

Thinking a snowy afternoon is good to make cookies. Yum!

Good morning! Oh, Glo! So very sorry about your tumble!! Hope your injuries are just bruises and nothing more. Now you and Kay are breaking the rule....no falling allowed!!!

So very sorry for all the snow. I saw 34 here this morning, now up to 43, but we have bright sun shine and not much wind today. Thank goodness.

Annie we shut into the utility room last night. Too cold to go into the garage. Sorry we have to do that, but my goodness, her horrible yowls keep us awake. No one could sleep with the noise she makes. She does not do that during the day.??????

Roads were fine coming in to work...clear and wet...think this will melt quickly...

Glad they got the OK to go to the tree. I think our parents will be OK with it...nothing has scared them away yet!

paula eagleholic said...

Nice pics, Bob. Looks like you found some eagles building a nest.

Looks like my hawk at the beach was a juvenile northern harrier.

Lolly said...

Funny how even NCTC needs permission to even go under the tree and Norfok is tearing down nests left and right.

Have finished my walk and watched Sutton but could not get the upclose cam to work.

Heading to the grossserie store and then later on to Dallas.

Steve said that NCTC is closed today - over on FB

It is still coming down - snow, then rain then a mix - I wish it would stop! Hiding Easter eggs in the snow is not fun! lol

Bell and Shep - Keep that egg cup dry!
WEe are counting on you two!

Bell of course is BELLE

That last 'e' slid down to the next line!

Hi, Gang,
I'm back again for a bit. Steve, thank you for the new thread and the update about the nest. Both are much appreciated.

Bob, BEAUTIFUL pictures, as always. I especially like the series of the two eagles flying together, and of the red-winged blackbird.

Glo, I'm so sorry that you and Dex had a fall! Glad Dex seems OK, but I bet your knees are screaming at you, not to mention your wrenched back! Why, why, WHY do people let their dogs run loose???!! I hope you will see the doctor to make sure you're OK. (((HUGS))) for you and Dex, and God bless the neighbor who helped both of you!

6" here.

glad we might get our cam back soon!

Glo, so sorry about your fall. I had an incident yesterday with a pitbull. All are OK, but it was very scary. I'll be keeping my pepper spray with me at all times. And my phone...

Glad you figured out the hawk Paula!

HOME for lunch and find a fresh thread with a great message Thanks for the thread STEVE and the great message

JudyEddy said...

I see DANAMO sort of asked the same question as I did yesterday that the past two years there really hasn't been a open house We made our own up when I came up in 2011 and same as 2012 just a gathering of great eagle minds at the non open house

So NCTC wouldn't be spending any money on us And we would bring them business to the cafeteria and the gift shop so it would be a win win for them and us

any other thought on it beside mine and DANAMO

JudyEddy said...

GLO soo sorry about your fall and you know our number one rule is

Hope you are feeling not so sore from the fall
what is it with other peeps dogs the past couple of days

Hi, Everyone,
Still waiting here for the bee people. Thank God I've only got 1 angry sounding bee buzzing around in the living room. Hope they can find their point of entry once they get here, because I bet that is where other critters (such as roof rats) are entering too. They will secure some mesh over the entry point once they've removed the bees, I am sure. I hope we've caught this early this time, and there's no huge hive in there!

Shar, I'm sorry you had to postpone your test for another day!
Hope you are not too uncomfortable in the meantime. (((HUGS)))!!

I've managed to get several loads of laundry done so far, and am busy doing some paper shredding right now. Actually making some noticeable progress! I may find the office under all that mess if I keep this up!

I saw an infomercial for "24 ladders in one" the other day, and I ordered the one they have for a single-story home. It's mighty expensive, but I worry so about Ken having to climb up our rickety stepladder to check on the rat traps we've set in the recessed lighting shelf in the living room!
The new ladder should arrive in about a week. The shipping was free, so that helped, and I got about $170 worth of free extra accessories with it, too. MTBR....

Well, back to the shredder. I think it's cooled off enough to do some more now. Aaack! I was just reminded of our dear Lynn! There's a big black spider on the chair rail, and I hope I can manage to kill it! Now I need to order one of those bug vacuums, like the one little Sierra got for Christmas! Well, better go take care of business before the "unmentionable" life form disappears on me. Will check back in later. I sorely miss dear Emma, our bug catcher! She finds the 8-leggers, steps on them, and kills them! If she can't get to them, she woofs to get my attention and points like a champion bird dog until I kill it! Darn it, I hope we don't have to board Emma for another day!
