My gmail got a "new look" today - I hate it but can no longer revert to the old look. Obviously there were some Google changes and we got our Newer-Newest back!!! Yay!!

Jo, you think my grand-pig is ugly????? What's wrong with you?? Seriously, I have had a difficult time endearing myself to Posey, but Brian (my son) loves her to death! Sir Bryan is much easier to fall in love with, and Lynnis just adores him! BTW, Bryan already had his name when Brian and Lynnis got him - he's about 25 years old. It's just a coincidence that he and my son share a name!

HEY, New/Newest back!
Well, Steve had a great time at work! He's actually doing client pick up and drop offs, not airport yet. So he gets the dogs from the kennel, gets them and the paperwork ready, loads them in the van and delivers to home or vet clinic. And vice versa. Makes sure crates and van are cleaned between runs, food, toys, meds all in order, etc. He's going to be VERY familiar with the ritzy DC neighborhoods in no time! So all is good, he thinks he's going to really enjoy it!

Belle did some preening, and now she is tucked again. Can see her head and tail.

Yeah for Steve on the new job; sorry to hear of those still feeling under the weather.
Wanted to share a car fact with everyone. Maybe you know this, but I didn't: If your vehicle engine is running rough, or some mystery light has come on, you can go to a place like AutoZone or AutoPartsPlus and they will, FREE OF CHARGE, hook up the diagnostic computer thingy to your vehicle
and explain what the readout means. Often its something you can easily correct yourself (improperly sealed gas cap, loose wire, need new spark plugs.) No cost, no appointment!
I thought that was pretty handy.

So when Mom popped on the ... she was on the Kindle, she made two more posts after that that is not showing. So strange that it was not on there! She said Goodnight and Prayers for all, then she said Hi Hoda and Goodnight.. I was there then... she finally got sick and called me when she did. Charlie and I rushed to Walmart and Martins in hope of finding Crystalized Ginger. No avail.UGH
So my creative Idea was to buy Ginger from the Japenese restaurant and make it myself. We got it, took it to her house and made it, following the directions I found on the internet. I pray it works!!!!!!
I am tired, I am heading to bed incase I am needed tomorrow before work. Night and love to you all!

Have been battling a mega migraine since about 2am. Finally took the mega meds that I hate to take and I am feeling a bit more human now - just a bit foggy in the head.
LOLLY - So sorry to hear you're back down again. Sounds like you need a couple good days of rest to get back on track. You were really sick, then managed to get through the festivities of your weekend, then sick again, and then managed to kill yourself getting unpacked and settled back at home, and now sick again! REST!!!! I think your body is telling you something ♥
LYNN - Hate hearing about the nausea again. That is just so awful. Praying things subside and you get some relief. JEWELS - good thinking on that ginger remedy! Keeping you in prayer ♥

Good morning nearly afternoon where our Royal Family is. Anyway Oil is changed. Up 2 hours last night with Dex but except for being tired he seems ok today. Hard times sometimes. I am so glad the rain is done. I am hoping the wind is gone too. Haven't opened the cam yet but on my way. TTYL
Happy Sunny TU to Everyone! Tried to quickly hop on here as we will probably be losing power in about a 1/2 hour. They've been replacing phone/power poles in this are for few weeks. Lots of giant bucket trucks squeezing onto small dirt roads. They're supposed to return after lunch and reconnect--DUH.
Had to get out of car this AM to find eagle nest!!~~~too many leaves. Mom was laying low over chicklets.

LORETTA great visit to the Potomac through your pictures. It is not as wide as I had imagined. I felt the same way when I saw the Danube in Austria, not as wide...I thought it would be blue because of the music, The Blue Danube and it was not.I was in DC once in '68 and my impression was it was wider...

Thanks, Hoda! It is just so beautiful and peaceful out today. Sun is shining, birds are singing and I am doing a little digging in the dirt. I would like to be doing nothing, but our 300 caladium bulbs arrived yesterdday, so we are planting them. We plant a few and then rest, plant a few and rest.
I am laying low and feeling really bad. Not going to post again today but sorry for all ailing and in pain and prayers for healing and relief.
It will be beautiful LOLLY. Out in the sun is good. Drink lots of water.

Lynn, sorry to hear you aren't feeling to well today.
Hoda, the Potomac isn't very wide at all in Shepherdstown...it doesn't get really wide until after Washington, DC. It eventually connects to the Chesapeake Bay, where it becomes brackish (not as salty as the ocean, about 1/2 fresh and 1/2 salty). There it is about 7 miles wide.
Thanks PAULA, when I make my trip to see the nest I will also have to go to the POTOMAC...so much history connected to it and as a waterway it is vital for the area and Mom and Dad spoke of sailing on the Chesapeake Bay...I appreciate your note PAULA VERY VERY MUCH.

Way too may posts to catch up on---or at least to comment on all, but I want to thank LORETTA for the grand Potomac and Shepherdstown tours..SANDI for showing us the "kids" magnificent home and her photogenic grandanimals... WANDA for the video with Jo announcing our charities. I had to run it several times in order to see all who are there and to listen in on some conversations, looking first at those in the foreground, then those in the background, then those wandering around the room. I have such a good idea of what y'all look like and sound like now---Wonderful Good !
Hello eagle buds just got back from getting truck worked on oil change and a check up so to speak I guess the whole time I was there got to see the eagles in the cell phone tower well one in tower and the others soaring overhead was soooo nice outside I sat in the parking lot of the ford dealership and watched the eagles got some video and pic of them Really pretty out after the cold front went through 62 this am and now I think only 73 out soooo pretty out
It sounds like good weather for your days off JUDYE. I am glad you saw the eagles.

It is so strange to take out my spring and summer clothes while there is a spectacular storm going on. I felt my clothes were a bit too heavy this past week...so it is time...I love my sweaters. I put several of them away already...
Always need to do a laundry to refresh clothes before I put them away and again before I hang them on the hangers when the season is right...at least I know they are clean!!!LOL!!!
I keep losing the live feed!!! just as well since I ma busy cooking and doing the clothes thing...electric storms I presume...

Finally done mowing the backyard jungle after all the rain. Very happy to report that the ground soaked it all in! Guess that means we need more. Was happy not to mow in a bog!

Have been on the phone with the realtor, with my sister, and with my Mom. Mom is submitting a contract on a condo tomorrow that is 1.7 miles from my sister's house!! And she sounds fine about doing it! YAY!!!!

A challenging yoga class with lots of twists and balancing poses and some times balancing while all twisted...it took a lot of concentration.

Kathryn went to the surgeon about her gallstone problem today. He will do more tests before making any decision, but she may need to have the gall bladder removed.
Thoughts and prayers for Kay and Lynn this evening. I hope it is pain-free and comfortable in all ways.
Hope the week is good for you, Sandi. Those observations can be nerve-wracking. In my experience, you could go through all of those preparations and then the administrator gets sidetracked and reschedules. Sometimes they just don't show, then they reschedule--maybe.
A couple of times my students have been more stressed out than I was. One group suggested writing a script and playing it out for the observer.
I actually told one class that it was not necessary to be so completely silent. They responded that they didn't want to get me fired. That did make me feel good.

It is my Karla who is holding the baby. She said she was so excited to see Jayden and meet the new family member, that she left there with a smile in her heart:) She has been at the beach for the last 10 days and missed Brantley's birth. Eagle talk in the attic but no parent in the nest this morning. Another milestone! Our little guys are growing up!! Missy is 6 weeks old today, right?
Final home track meet this afternoon, so I will be timing the running events - long day, but I love to watch the kids!
Shirley, my observation was supposed to be today but the VP came to me on Monday and explained that he has to be out of the building today. he asked if we could reschedule for tomorrow. I said the lesson plan was for a 2-day lesson and he was supposed to see day 1, so now he would be seeing day 2. He was fine, I was fine. I once had a principal forget to show up (we were good friends and had a great working relationship). After the lesson, I went to her office and said, "You missed a great lesson! Take my word for it! And write it up!!" She did! Last year, my new principal forgot to observe me (of course I never reminded him - that's his job!) He came to me the last week of school and asked me to give him a lesson plan and he would write the evaluation from the plan! I don't say this to brag, but when you're good, your bosses don't need to observe you once a year to know it!
