Good morning everyone! Hope we get to see even more of our Royal Couple today. I will be glad when the "night light" gets cut on! Hate to miss anything!!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Our nest is slowly starting to appear with the dawn, no white heads though.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Eagles at BWE and BWO this morning.

Make that 2 eagles at BWO!!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Costume Lady said...

Sissy, three days in a row tells me they must be here to stay:)

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

There went Lib!! I am so grateful to have them back. They were surely missed!!

hedgie said...

Eagles in the nest@

hedgie said...

Now just one.

Costume Lady said...

Hi there, BEage:) This could be the start of a beautiful frienship!!

BEagle said...

Both are looking off to the right as we see it.

I am trying to be very quiet so as not to scare them off. : ) : D

Poof.....there went one and I am not sure which took off.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Looks windy up there in the Sycamore Palace this morning.

Costume Lady said...

Hi Lynn...we are happy campers now, aren't we!:)

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Bring in sticks! Nestorations have begun in earnest! YAY!!!

BEagle said...

okay. The other is back with a stick.

Costume Lady said...

Not very windy here, up higher, yes.

hedgie said...

And now 2 again!

hedgie said...

Put another pic in album.

Costume Lady said...

The SPIRIT must have moved them;)

stronghunter said...

Good morning,

Lovely sight at the nest this morning. Two busy eagles.

Lib and Belle are home.

Blogger cop did something strange. I got knocked back to the beginning of this thread and kicked off. My message went away.

I will copy this time.

BEagle said...

Oh my.

Aren't they beautiful? And I must split.

I think we did a split on the blog too!

Later ♥♥

Costume Lady said...

BLOGGER COP is mad at me!:(

stronghunter said...

Is that Belle closest to the cam?

Ms Bookworm said...

Good Morning, Everyone!
My modem is cooperating, so thought I'd better say hello while I can!

SOOOO glad our eagles are back and doing nestorations!

SOOOOOOOOO glad our Judie is back, too! It's wonderful to hear from you, lady! You're beginning to sound like yourself again! Good news from the doctor, that you may start walking, although I imagine it will be a somewhat slow process. PT will certainly help to whip you into shape!
Keep your chin up, and hang onto that walker tightly! (((HUGS)))!! Tell Darth to post a few more jokes when he has a moment, too! Yes, he IS a Dadster now!

News on the home front: it's starting to sprinkle again here!! Hubby called and said there was actual rain on his way to work! Oboy, here we go again!

Lori O. said...

Good Morning Hedgie, Wanda, BEagle, Sissy, StrongHunter and all!
Should say GLORIOUS morning to see those two in the nest.
Just read about 12noon prayer vigil. Count me in.
Working right now - but keeping an eye on everyone. :)

hedgie said...

Before I forget.....Carolyn said last night that, due to staff illness. Margy got pulled in for extra duty for 4AM today. :(

stronghunter said...

What a heck of a time to get called in to work. Yikes, Lynn!

I am just sitting here watching our eagles. They look content.

hedgie said...

Lori, you checked in at just the right time! Long time no see!!!
Hope your holidays were great!

Gee, Andy, this might end up being a record rainfall year for you, huh?!!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

I think so, hard to tell from this angle though.

I have to tell you all I had given up hope of them returning to this nest. Sharon never did, but I did. I thought we were going to have to find a new nest to watch!!!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Belle just flew off.

hedgie said...

shirley, I still can't tell our birds apart!

stronghunter said...

Yes, great timing, Lori.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

And now Lib is gone!

stronghunter said...

I thought the one nearest looked larger, but was wondering if it was just because he/she was nearest to the camera. Trying to get a fix on things with this new camera.

stronghunter said...

It would be exciting to have more than one little eaglet to watch this year. I have been afraid to think about that, but maybe it is safe to believe it could happen now. I haven't seen multiple chicks in this nest yet.

hedgie said...

Nice visit again!!

First time ever----Never had another dog do it----Mai just ran out of the bathroom trailing the TP behind her!!! ARGH! Made it all the way across the kitchen---probably unrolled about 18 ft.
Silly dog!

Costume Lady said...

I'm thinking that there was only one time, since I've been here that we had three: Peal, Middie and Tiny...a laugh a minute!

Costume Lady said...

KEEP YOUR CAMERA HANDY, LYNN! I think Mai is going to be a hoot!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

The stress level with multiple chicks is astronomical! :-)

Costume Lady said...

Not Peal...PEARL.

Costume Lady said...

Hi Sharon, Lori and Andrea:)

Do you think that Lib and Belle may be pretty much satisfied with the nest, the way it is? Only a month to go before the first egg could appear.

hedgie said...

Thanks for correction, Wanda....I was racking my brain trying to figure out who PEal was and couldn't jog my brain to get Pearl!!! They were my first year!!!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Wanda, I thought who is Peal? :-)

I think the eagles know more than we do about their nest and what is needed. I bet according to their schedule, they are right on time! LOL!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

My firsts were Big Boy, Ms. InBetween and Spunky! I will never forget that year! What a wonderful and joyous experience.

Lori O. said...

My firsts were Hidey, then Palmer last year. I think one chick is stressful, but two would be perfect, three would be mega stress!

phyrfly said...

Good Morning Everyone, I sure hope everyones Christmas was wonderful. I saw on the FB page that Belle and Lib made an appearence. :) That is exciting. I sure hope this nesting year is smooth as silk...I am not sure if I can take such "wild drama" yet again. Keeping my fingers crossed!

wvgal_dana said...

What a JOYFUL Morning it is !!! Eagles in the NEST.
DON'T STOP THE NOON TIME PRAYER VIGIL PLEASE

Good Wonderful Morning Sissy, BEagle (Irene), Hedgie-Lynn,
Shirley, Andy, Lori, and Sharon.

I need to catch up on comments. I did not see the
eagles. I love all your comments and avatars.

I spoke with Norma for quite awhile on the phone last
night. She had a nice Christmas and is doing well. She misses everyone.

Costume Lady said...

Phyrfly, did Morgantown get very much snow?

Costume Lady said...

Dana, we miss Miss Norma, too. Her cheerful good morning comments were heart warming!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I forgot to report that I talked to Normabyrd about 3 weeks ago. She misses us. I told her to call me when she was ready to get back on the blog and we would get her here! She is doing good.

phyrfly said...

Costume Lady, not really. Definitely enough to cover the ground, but nothing spectacular. There was a lot of meltage yesterday too, so not much left :(

wvgal_dana said...

Hedgie-Lynn your Mai stories are getting better and better....'m cracking up. I would have
loved to have seen that............18 ft.

Yes Sharon that was my first year Bigboy, MsInBetween, and Spunky. I have thought many times about those
three eager eaglets.
Sharon Norma told me you called her. It was such a delight for her.

Good Morning Phyrfly now I'm trying to remember your name. It is on my old computer...takes too long for it to come up.

wvgal_dana said...

Sharon I miss you on here talking about your birds at the feeder.

I am sorry Margy got pulled in so early AM. That gal will just give and give. Never met anyone like her.

Margy when I went out to heat the water for the birds and break the ice. This first bird to drink was "the baby bluejay". lol You know by the card. ( :

phyrfly said...

Well Dana, it's me Dana :)

wvgal_dana said...

I don't know if we split here or not..

Dana.....one who is married to Ed right?????

NCSuzan said...

Good Eagle Viewing Morning to all! How exciting that Lib and Belle are busy in their nest. Looks like we will be on egg watch before we know it!

Judie, great news for you. My walker has a seat and a basket. If I feel I cannot walk anymore there is a seat where i can plop myself down and not try to make it to a chair. A little more expensive but well worth it. Mine is candy apple red!

Lynn, Mai is mischieviousness(sp) personified! My cats unrolls tp and it is funny to watch but a puppy carrying it through the house, LOL!

wvgal_dana said...

Dana-Phyrfly have not heard from you for awhile. How was your Christmas?

wvgal_dana said...

Good Morning NCSusan I think your walker and seat idea is great.

I need to talk to Iris before next Open House about that chair she used to get around in. She made it through NCTC and I couldn't do it.

wvgal_dana said...

I am reading Tuesday Blog. Thank each and everyone one of you for your comment. I am enjoying the nest visit by Liberty and Belle. I still am NOT STOPPING MY NOON PRAYER TIME. Not until I see an egg or hear of an egg laid. I just feel God saying "keep the prayer vigil up".

Costume Lady said...

Yep, Dana...there may be a method to GOD'S madness. He kept the eagles away from us so that we would start praying, because he likes to hear from us. My grandmother used to tell me that our prayers were like MUSIC to God's ears:)

NCSuzan said...

Dana, this is a rolling walker not one you pick up and put down ,take a step, etc. Go to Amazon.com and under the Health Products type in walkers and hey give you an idea.

wvgal_dana said...

Wanda I love your Grandmother's saying. I just believe God wants us to "hold together as a group". This is one way HE can get us to be a group that will be together and hold tight.

NCSuzan said...

Thank you all for the nice comments you have left on my photos. I am not a picture taker but i like to share. Thank you again. Yes, that eagle nest used to be close to me. It sits practically on the road. On the way home, to Dare Co. we see several eagles and there are some eagles there, Lynn. Yes, my brother takes pictures it is him sending them to me that is the hiccup!

phyrfly said...

Dana, sorry busy day at work today. I am well. Ed and I have a wonderful christmas with the kids. How was your Christmas?

paula eagleholic said...

Morning, all!

Glad to hear Lib and Belle were both busy in the nest this morning.

I am fighting off something, been going to bed early.

Hearing of their visit this morning has certainly picked up my spirits today!

paula eagleholic said...

Welcome back, Dana.

paula eagleholic said...

And Lori :)

stronghunter said...

Toilet paper--Flash got hold of a roll yesterday. I had it on my tray table by my chair and had been trying to protect it. It fell off and he chewed it into a big mess. At least he did not strew it through the house.

He has done that.

I think our nest looks pretty good. I guess the egg cup might need some work. It needs to be nice and deep in case of snow.

NCSuzan said...

Shirley, know what you mean about the nest cup. Wish they had access to some insulation to keep that place especially cozy.

TY Paula, I heard there's a tummy bug floating around...hope that's not what you have.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

What is that at BWO, anyone looking?

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Turkey vulture, right?

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

That is an EEEWWIIEEE at BWO! :-)

movin said...

Sissy, that is an Eeuuwiiee, Buzzard, or Turkey Vulture. The red on its face means it adult.

OOOOGLY, ain't they??

C(°Ù¿°)D Jim

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

That is one UGLY bird!!

wvgal_dana said...

lol Sissy I thought for sure you have seen turkey vultures up close at BWO or BWE before lol

Susan I will look at those.
I went onto your blog to see any pictures you might have posted. Of eagles from your brother. I didn't find any. Am I in the wrong place???

hedgie said...

Right you are, Jim! Oooglie is a good way to describe it!!
Well, hope your next cold snap is short-lived!! By friend in Highlands son and grands are back in VA for the week.....know they will want to go home to warmth!
Sun is very weak and bleak today...and wind is blowing, tho' not as bad as the last few days.

wvgal_dana said...

Good Morning Paula. I hope
your not coming down with
this stuff. Yes reading
comments of Liberty and Belle
being at the nest sure does
pick up ones spirits. Your
right about that Paula ( :

I did get put on a antibotic yesterday. 24 hours I won't be contagious.
Dr. said I did all I could
do now he has to do his part.
If I'm not any better when I
finish this in 10 days. I have
to call them right away they
said.

Morning Jim sorry about your rain
and cold weather coming in. Prepare yourself and stock up in case of a cold.

Shirley and Hedgie-Lynn I think you two need to take out "shares" in tp paper lol

Sorry Wanda I mean't to tell you thank you for typing us about the chase and capture. Officer Scott Myers is the one that had a lot to do with the horses being rescued working with Animal Control.

wvgal_dana said...

Daughter was glad to get home to Colorado to the warmer weather !!!!!
I'm serious !!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Wow, big ole hawk just landed on my deck. Not sure what kind though. Didn't really look like a red-tailed.

wvgal_dana said...

I have a 36 oz. box of Assocted Chocolates sitting on my counter----creamy caramels, fudges, truffles, and smooth creses covered in rich milk and dark chocolate.

Mom took 3 pieces and I ate 1 -----too sweet.

Now I am the person that has to find a "new owner of this box with only 4 pieces out".

Ed would buy every year at Christmas time 2 boxes bigger than this of the assorted chocolates. He like the soft centers. Would put it on our large coffee table for visitors. I think he was the "most to visit the box" lol

Who will the "new owner be"?????

Mema Jo said...

I have read all of this morning's comments and it sure seems that we are back in business - early morn and early eve. Best of all is that all the Momsters are coming on the blog to share these events with each other. Sure hope the night light comes soon AND we could certainly use a new blog.

The weather today is much better than the past couple of days. Not sure if I will get into something or not.

Lolly said...

Good morning! Have taken forever to read through this mornings comments. When I saw the number I just knew I had missed our eagles again. I know there are a lot of momsters and dadsters with big smiles on their faces!

And, it is so great to hear from Lori and Dana. Would love to hear from Deb in Maine, too. I miss her. REALLY miss our Norma!!!!

Lolly said...

LOL Lynn! I can just see Mai running with the tp. She must be part cat! :)

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

I finally got a couple of pics of that hawk on Sissy's pics. What kind do you all think it is??

wvgal_dana said...

Beautiful picture of hawk. I put it as a Cooper's Hawk. Will see what others think.

hedgie said...

I don't care much for candy, but Christie got me lots of the kind I DO like! 2 bags of Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark, and 2 bags of Hershey Candy Kane Kisses. They will last me all year!!!! Yep---I love mint!

wvgal_dana said...

OH MY I am on comment Tuesday Dec 28 at 2:36pm. Boy was my butt saved!!! I had to do somethings after doctor but I needed to get the antibotic to WalMart. I like using the one down my way and not the one in by the mall. I said, "Oh well it is just for 10 days". Something kept saying take it to your WalMart drop it off and head back to town then on way home can pick it up.

So back down the Inerstate I-81 I headed.

Later when I went to Wendy's a classmate that lives near the Mall. Told me about the gun shot. I had told her then about taking the perscription back down my way. She said, "Girl I think God was watching out for you".

wvgal_dana said...

Oh Hedgie-Lynn I have to be so careful. I love the peppermint blizzard from Dairy Queen. I haven't gotten one yet this year.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

I think you might be right Dana.

Bird Girl said...

Hello everyone!

I have such great news to share with you all -- some of you who are on my Facebook have probably seen some of my posts about this already. It was the best Christmas gift I could EVER receive (well, after the news that I had beaten terminal cancer, which I learned the day before Xmas 1997 LOL).

I found my baby sister, who had been adopted at birth when I was only 13 months old! I found out about her when I was 18, and 20 years later -- found her!

I'm unbelievably excited, we've talked a lot on FB, and a couple of times on the phone. Our mom is very excited too, and my sister will be coming for a visit on Jan 15th. All three of us -- plus her hubby & kids, and my hubby & his family -- are so happy and excited!

Just had to share this great news with you, my dear friends. Some of you I've known for years now, some I don't know at all. I don't get on the blog much, but you know where to find me :)

And of course, I'm still watching our beloved Liberty and Belle!

wvgal_dana said...

Delphia such great news just like a Christmas Gift !!! ( : So happy for you and your family and their family.

wvgal_dana said...

I just read on Tuesdays thread Dec 28 at 5:16 Loretta wrote about seeing juvies locked talons and did the spin.....WOW !!!!!! Now that would be something to see. Loretta I bet your eyes were just locked in place and thrilled.

Mema Jo said...

Delphia - that was a very special Christmas present to you. Now your family will be complete. Best wishes to you come Jan 15 ♥

wvgal_dana said...

Just curious: why don't we have night vision anymore?

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Eagle at BWO and panda baby (Ibony) is all alone and trying to scoot at Atlanta!

hedgie said...

I think it's a Coopers, too, Sissy! Lovely!!!

Lolly said...

We do not have sound either, Delphia. I think they are still working out the kinks. At least that is what we are hoping. Love the night vision and the sound.

wvgal_dana said...

Glo I know I am late in thanking you. Thank you so much for the Dec 28, 2010 video of Liberty and Belle in the nest. Since I wasn't home to see them. You provided the way for me. It was GREAT watching them moving around the nest. Thanks again you are super!!! Hoping when you put the next Frontline on it stops the flea problem for Dex so you two can finish your stay.

Mema Jo said...

FB Look at Daniel's video of
Little Scooter! Love it.....

wvgal_dana said...

Hedgie-Lynn I just read about the dog seized that you commented about yesterday. Oh No !! 70 dogs how will there be places for that many. I am sorry I am in tears......it just keeps up and poor dogs are abused. When will it stop!!!!!!!!! I can't take any in with Little Man being sick. Nor right now am I healthy enough to foster. God forgive me.

hedgie said...

Delphia, they say they are working on the infrared as well as the sound. MTBR.

hedgie said...

Dana, actually Derick says 108.
We THINK that it is the mill we've talked about on Grade Rd. Not a word in the papers, tho'.

Also nothing in paper about the Welltown Rd. wreck.....just heard that the boy in Inova Fairfax is now not expected to survive.

Bird Girl said...

Hope they get sound & night vision back soon!

phyrfly said...

Checking in before lunch. Great news for you BirdGirl. My dear friend has the same thing happen for her a few years back. What a very special time for you.

Congrats to BirdGirl for upcoming family reunion. How wonderful!

Sissy, great hawk pics---I left a way to ID it under pics. Only you can tell by size.Compare w/surroundings.

Dana, yes, I saw the eagle talon spin! But not sure if juvie or adult---they were so far away. Naturalist said use binoculars! I didn't take them w/me to window 'cuz I didn't know I'd see anything! I will now.
BTW, my boss at Park told me to watch for young raccoons!!They are getting at one large, low birdfeeder that isn't squirrel proof anymore!!!

Well, hope I get to watch nest this PM---gotta get busy ☺ ♥
