Good Morning All! Thanks for the well wishes about the wedding and I am sure I will fulfill them all! Thanks for the music Dana.
GG is something else - Love the things she says and does!

We always thought that Liberty was a top notch 'food finder'

This tops all of the eagle dads

Mema Jo said...

Oh Shirley - don't you let the Marines
get you to enlist!

Ace that test, Ceil

Great weather today - clear and sorta cool. I can breath!

Mema Jo said...

The gals should be finishing up at the beauty salon soon...... They are going to be so beautiful to see - but especially since I know them all and know how beautiful they are within.

Can't wait to see the groom - love him.
Going to start getting things organized so we can be out of here this early afternoon.

BBILW before I leave

Wow what an Eagle Link Jo, thanks!

hope (and pray) that the weather is exactly perfect for the Wedding
Hope your hairdo survived as you wished it would

BEagle said...

Hi everyone!

The food finder video is too funny.
Especially when the baby swallows a whole one, before it's stopped flopping?

Mits said...

Jo, Pa and Ma Hornby are great, that eagle cam is #1!!!!!! Phoenix ate the whole fish....:)

magpie said...

BEagle, are you available for a message, trying to get my email address to you
if you are going to be here for a minute let me know

BEagle said...

Have only been able to check on Palmer lately. Love to see her practicing her wing flaps.

It's my guess she will make her way up to the cam tree soon. Also, I am trying to figure out what the debris is on the nest.

Leaves and sticks?

BEagle said...

OK.

magpie said...

both parents are at Loch Garten again
swear it sounds like a cuckoo making cuckoo noises in the background

BEagle did you see earlier post, there is a hatchling there as of last night there time around 9:21 pm

wvgal_dana said...

Maybe I'll get back on later and it won't be so slow. Take care God's speed for all travers and prayers for those needing them.

BEagle said...

The osprey nest? I did check that site.

Got a wonderful email from Chrissy this AM!!! Here it is:
Part 1---blogger cop won't let me put the whole thing in at once!
Iris phoned me from Kidderminster railway station at just gone mid-day,,,, which was a shock,, she told me she was going to phone once she arrived in Birmingham and Matt could work out the arrival times of the trains to Kidderminster,,,
Phone call, " Hi there Chrissy, hello,,,,, I'm here, in Kidderminster,, waiting at the station,, WHERE are you ???",,,,

Gobsmacked I said, " What you doing there, you should be in Birmingham "!!! we laughed and Frank and I dashed over to get her, there she was leaning against the rail look straight us as we parked the car,,,, I was out before the car stopped and ran over to her and we hugged and hugged till we squeezed the air out of each others lungs,,,,,
Got her back to the house and she took her coat off and I sat her down in the kitchen where I was finishing off the veg and I made us all a cup of tea,,,,,

hedgie said...

Part 2:

We just chatted and chatted like there was no tomorrow,, I was so excited I was just speaking 9 to the dozen, Frank told me to shut up and take a breath, and we all laughed,,, Iris will tell you when she gets home, I'm a terror once I get going,,,,,,,,

The meal was finally cooked, we sat and ate and then more chat,, it was so hard to fit everything in pet,, we had so little time together, I didn't want Iris to have to travel back to London in the dark and be far to tired to rest when she got back to the hotel,, I knew she was planning a trip to Scotland with Gillian and I wanted her to be fresh for that,, it's such a very long way away,,,,,,

Frank said he would take us after dinner to a tiny village called Bewdley, it's only a mile or two away from here, it's so beautiful as its a Medieval village right on the banks of the River Severn,,,,, we got there ok,, BUT the darn car over-heated and we had to park up in a carpark,,, I think Iris was rather glad we didn't find a parking space near the River, as Frank had suggested a walk along the riverbank,,,, I think she was tired and sitting in the car was a better option,,,,,

We got back to the house, I made a cuppa and we had scones, strawberry jam and clotted cream,,,,,,Iris's favorite,,,,,

We exchanged gifts, beautiful gifts,,I'VE GOT AN EAGLE TEASHIRT!!!!!!! Time was passing so quickly and running out fast,,,,,
Before I knew it it was 5pm and Iris's train return journey was upon us,, so back to Kidderminster Station,, we waited a few minutes, the train arrived, so many hugs and not enough time,,,, Iris was on the train and I was leaning through the doors having our last hug,, WHEN the doors started to close on me,, I though, "OOO ekk,, half of me is going back to the States",,,,,, laughing,,,,

I watched the train disappear into the distance,, and she was gone!!!!

We got back into the car,, I was in floods of tears, I felt as if I'd lost a member of my family,,,,,

It was only later on reading an e-mail to you, that Iris's journey back to London was a very long and exhausting one,,,
I've not heard back from her as yet,, BUT she must be totally wiped out after Scotland yesterday,,,,,,I hope she isn't too worn out, I do worry about her coping, though I',m sure Gillian will keep an eye on her Gran,,,,,,

Menu:::::
Roast Beef
Jersey Royal New Potatoes
Roast Potatoes
French Beans
Carrots
Shredded White Cabbage
Beef Gravey.

Silly me forgot to put the Yorkshire Puddings in the oven,, so we didn't have any,, I put that down to age pet,,,,,,

The postman came this morning pet with your great gift of the "Spirit", newspaper,, WHAT a brilliant article isn't it,,, and fab piccies too,,,,,,Thank You so much Lynn for sending
I'll treasure it,, honest,,,,,,

Well pet,, I think I've mentioned everything in detail,, I've said to Frank, I had only just met Iris, she was here, and oh so quickly gone,,,, BUT goodness me pet,, I miss her,, I can't explain it, that's just how I feel,, idd isn't it,, I hope you can understand my feelings,,,,,, she is one very special Lady !!!

Thank you once again for the paper pet,,,,,

much love as always, take care, speak soon
hugs and hugs
Chrissy

Thanks Lynn - That was a wonderful account of Iris & Chrissy's visit.
God was good ! ♥

hedgie said...

See that there is still at least one juvie at BWE....didn't see anybody yesterday.....

I seriously doubt that Palmer is going to wait until 6/20-25 like Steve said.......she just better wait until the 12th!!

BEagle said...

Good golly, Solo on the Sidney nest is brown now. What happened? They need some windex for their cam. It's all filmy.

Maybe they should use some of the rain stuff that keeps things from sticking to the windshields.

I suppose Phoenix will look like
Solo soon enough. Right now Phoenix is a big blob of fluff and sleeping. I don't know how with those pine burrs forming a pillow!

BEagle said...

Palmer's back up at her half past 12 perch.

Sure would like to see some wing things before getting busy.

BEagle said...

Palmer is back at the cam tree. Well, I will say closer to the cam tree.

That spot is representative of the dinner table, where food is brought in.

Palmer is peeping.

BEagle said...

Palmer says, "if there's food in between these sticks....I will find it!"

BEagle said...

I think Palmer DID find something to eat. She's pulling something up.

T-Bird said...

Lynn, thank you for painting that picture of your visit. Yes we do understand your feeling.

BEagle said...

The merry loon is patiently brooding

BEagle said...

What is Palmer doing? Watching a bug?

Maybe Boris....eat that bug Palmer!

Good Morning...
What a wonderful visit Iris and Chrissy must have had!
Thanks, Lynn for relaying the message from Chrissy.
Lynn, check out my JUST FOR FUN blog, now. I think you will be able to read the TEACHER'S HEART, now.
I stuck that on there for our WONDERFUL TEACHERS, JUDIE AND SHIRLEY and all the other teachers in our group that I don't know about...maybe RAGDOLL? Not sure if she is a teacher or WORKS at a school.
I thought it was a wonderful tribute to dedicated teachers!

Headed to GG's. BBL

JO...DON'T FORGET YOUR CAMERA AND SHARE WITH US:)

One more thing:
So grateful to have MARGY in our lives to make us appreciate EMERGENCY PERSONELL during their special week! THANK YOU MARGY, FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE OVER THE YEARS♥

Mema Jo said...

Diego is really wanting to play/fight with mom. Wish the camera was on the other side of the tree.

Mema Jo said...

I didn't know this about the 3 rebels at NBG
There are some who still think Camellia is a female. CCB has said that all three are males. And if you look at their sizes now, you will notice they have caught up with each other in size.

hedgie said...

Raining here....boo...hope it stays on this side of the mountain for Jo and her family.

Found a bird nest outside the sunroom; too high to see from inside but visible from deck. As soon as I came back out w/ camera, Mama took off---looked like a robin.

hedgie said...

Of course, visible means from below---not overlokking it...so no in-the-nest shots. ☻

Mema Jo said...

I am off for the big event - going to get a new grandson-in-law!
My glasses are clean - hairdo is casual - teeth are in and shoes are on - outfit is comfy.
Got all possible meds needed packed up

OUT OF HERE - I am sooooooo excited
for them! Yepper - got the Kleenex!

hedgie said...

Okay, Wanda, thanks. Got to see it now---wonderful tribute and sentiment to all teachers, for sure!!!

hedgie said...

Black bear just reported across from flea market on main Jefferson Co. highway (Charles Town). Maybe he wants to shop.

hedgie said...

Missed your goodbye, Jo. Hope your shoes match!! A couple of weeks ago, I was out the door, locking the bolt and looked down and found I had on one blue shoe and one green!! Duh! Guess I should have turned on the light in the closet; BUT, it had really happened when I put them in the boxes at the end of last summer! I "filed" them wrong.

BEagle said...

Palmer is up again. About all you can see are the feetsies.

BEagle said...

Well, that didn't last long. Palmer walked over to that egg cup and plopped right down.

BEagle said...

Palmer is up again nest to the cam tree.

Picked up some fluff and moved it where she wanted it.

And now messing with a stick.

BEagle said...

There went a wing and a hop.

BEagle said...

Oh. I think that is Lib that just arrived with a fish. A nice big fish for Palmer.

BEagle said...

You can almost hear the slurping, gulping and burping.

BEagle said...

I think Lib is going a little toooo
slow for our hungry one. Palmer just moves in for more.

magpie said...

thinking of the crinolines, the jewelry, men's and lady's colognes, pretty hairdos, pearls, lace, blue garters, fancy little kid and big kid clothes
something old/something new/something borrowed/something blue
AND the Kleenex !

love and happiness is in the air

If it rains...well tears of joy showering down from above (but I hope it holds off for awhile)

God Bless all the Wedding People ♥
in Jo's family and the groom's also

magpie said...

yes, nice couple at the Nest !

BEagle said...

There's the little white feather on Lib's back.

magpie said...

Wanda
Thank you and others here
didn't mean to call attention to my Fire/EMS service, but it is something of which I am proud, learned so much....
gained so much from
and I am blessed to work with these active folks all the time now in my line of work

I remember when becoming a Momster, you and Gene commented I could help at the nest with any fall-outs, with my EMT experience
that was funny, a nice welcome
almost two years ago

I know we have EMS folks in Lynn's family, Dana, Paula....sure hope some others will say something about their families too

BEagle said...

NEVER forget the Kleenex on the way to the wedding!
lol

magpie said...

Lynn
roflmbo about the different colored shoes and your filing system!

did you back and change ???

BEagle said...

Lib is still eating but I think Palmer's had enough. She's back at the egg cup.

BEagle said...

Palmer is up again and eating more.

magpie said...

BEagle
in the radio blog show that Steve posted the link for, he talked about when there were three eaglets, how it seemed little one had a hard time getting fed.
Parents would feed and feed the two older ones until they plotzed out too full to move, then the tiniest one, could get all it wanted....
no problem like that with just one eaglet
but maybe in another year you will see that at the Royal Nest

magpie said...

pretty red and squishy looking, think Palmer wants some more

BEagle said...

There's a poop shoot.

BEagle said...

I went to listen to Steve's report but it was with another person. Unless I have to listen clear through to hear the right report.

magpie said...

the interview with Steve starts about 1/3 of the way through...I just turned it on and did other things while it was playing you can still blog and email and cam-hop Beagle
gives quite an insight into all the things that Steve has been involved in over the years, and the things that FWS and NCTC are involved in

magpie said...

Wanda
I just viewed the Teacher video,
absolutely stunning and touching

Please folks, take the time to click on Costume Lady's Just for Fun and see this
if you haven't already

God Bless Our Teachers

I know James has teachers like this....

hedgie said...

Yep, BEagle, you do! Larry interviews Steve during the second half-hour, and he doesn't talk about the nest and our eagles until about the last 10 mins.!

Margy, YES, I did change shoes....just SO glad that I noticed before I left!!!
FF's don't count for EMS week, do they? Even tho' Shannon has his paramedic cert., he doesn't like it and sticks to the firetruck as much as possible!! But I did say my thanks to all EMS folks yesterday!!

magpie said...

well Lynn, for some reason I think Firefighers DO count, should be counted, there is no separate week for them, as far as I know...and they do so much to assist the EMS personnel...
manpower, equipment, long search and rescue efforts, extrication

so I always think, yes it does

I think the "M" part of EMS is misleading..should be EF&MS" maybe?

magpie said...

and, so many of them wear many different hats, firefighter and EMT/Paramedic/CPR driver etc

BEagle said...

Palmer is resting and Lib just flew off. There may be leftovers for later.

magpie said...

it's all good, Lynn....
know where your heart is for sure
for that matter:
Emergency Room Nurses!
And that's YOU!!!!
So, Happy EMS Week to you too
sorry I didn't think of that before

magpie said...

I bet the wedding music is playing
folks getting seated...
last minute primping
butterflies in the tummy...

not sure of the time line...
but It's Happening in some fashion now for sure

(( hugs ♥ ))

magpie said...

got some wedding prayers and poems I am going to read
checking out for awhile
quiet time here

Take care all...
xo ♥

hedgie said...

BTW: found out last evening that when my phone was out it wasn't just me...it was the whole development. Who knows, maybe even beyond.

hedgie said...

Raining quite hard here now.

hedgie said...

Gee, Margy, I thought got sure there was a FF's week....what an omission that is!! They are the ones in most peril. :(
Some big doings today, too, from what I've heard on the scanner, but not sure where. Cheeseburgers!!
Thanks for thinking of ER nurses!

Lynne2 said...

Oh grand. Bears at flea markets, bears crossing highways....clearly I'm looking in the wrong places to find a bear. Or at least a live one.

I really need to post pics on my blog. Can anyone tell me how you do multiple picture with captions all at once without everything becoming out of order?

Lynne2 said...

horror of horrors...I just figured out today that the flower I see growing wild that I thought was Wild Sweet William is actually some invasive plant called Dame's Rocket. UGH.

I wonder if Jo is up and doing the Chicken Dance yet at the wedding reception! It's my favorite wedding classic!

Judie said...

Darn blogger cop!

Jo, thanks for the Hornby post. Could not believe my eyes.

Lynn, thanks for posting Chrissy's email. Know it was a special occasion for her and for Iris. Also, too funny about the shoes -- glad you caught the mismatch before leaving home. Last year went to the hospital to wait while Darth had an outpatient procedure. Looked down and realized I had on black slacks with navy shoes and shirt -- DUH! Hoped everyone was too busy doing hospital stuff to notice.

Wanda, hope you had a really nice visit with GG. Dinner? Crab legs?

Also, thanks for the teacher sentiments. Greatly appreciated.

Palmer just hangin out. No peek at Lock Garten and Isla is keeping her chicks covered. Lily left Hope alone yesterday -- waiting for an update to be posted.

Margy, try this: bob = bad old brother.

Well, tonight will be a softly grilled ham/cheese with some macaroni salad I made today. Semi-soft food for Darth for a few more days.

TOM SELLECK movie on Hallmark tonight! But I'm going to catch up on the last 3 weeks of Brothers and Sisters that I have missed.

hedgie said...

Lynne, don't know for sure how to get it to work right...I ALWAYS have trouble. Ask Wanda....bet she knows!!

Judie, black w/ navy isn't bad. Some people can't tell the difference anyway! Especially men....:)

Getting ready to head out soon for Homeowner's Assoc. meeting. NOT my favorite way to spend a Sat. evening.
Still raining....BBL.

hedgie said...

P.S. Lynne, think that is the first in the Jesse Stone series! Good movie!

BEagle said...

You all really make me laugh.

b.o.b.

Have to watch Jesse Stone.
I do hope they run the whole series.

I think Palmer was nudging Belle off the nest.

BEagle said...

Belle flew off and now for some wingersizing. No? Maybe not.

Got something in the mouth. Nest fluff.

BEagle said...

Time for some wing work. The mighty wings she has. Don't see how she holds them up.

BEagle said...

Palmer is eating some of that leftover fish.

BEagle said...

There are a lot of good movies on right now.
Never Cry Wolf
Lake House
Terminator III

BEagle said...

Palmer is on her lookout perch.
And I think that's where she like to practice her wings.
Yup.

BEagle said...

There she goes. Oh Oh not so close to the edge little pumpkin.

Whew.
