I think that the only place fledges have been is from the 4-5 o'clock position. Am I remembering that right?

hedgie said...

Hi! I'm back! With a very full tummy. Dinner was delicious! Had a nice time.
Need to catch up here....

Mema Jo said...

lol BEagle - they just said that ugly thing in the Hornby nest is a
midshipman fish.

Mema Jo said...

That is the only Launch Pad that I've ever seen used, Sharon.
Your memory is 'sharp'!

Did you go up to or are you at the LAKE

Mema Jo said...

Karla's anniversary camp out best have a good warm camp fire!

Mema Jo said...

Lynn - did you have cake or pie for dessert?

NatureNut said...

Evening! Finished planting all the flowers I got for my deck pots~~put on the spotlight! ☺ Now I get to buy some more! And eat so I can have a full tummy like Lynn.
Sharon, you are right! All the pics, films & what I've seen of fledges seems to be from that side. Must be a more clear area.
I only got 2 pics of the Blue Angels--they're too darn fast & were going into the sun. Maybe will put them on anyway-later. I got a really good one last year.
Gonna go nibble~~~~~

hedgie said...

Margy, if you catch up in the morning....I saw the moon and could just about make out the horns....and Venus truly was brilliant!
Happy Birthday to your Daddy in Heaven. Wow....101!
I can't remember about the feather, either...thinking MAYBE Lib??

hedgie said...

Jo, they had cake, but I did not partake! I'm caked out after the past week!!

hedgie said...

Loretta, would have loved to be at your house today to see the Blue Angel perform. Love the aerobatic shows! Hope your knees and legs feel better!

hedgie said...

What is a midshipman fish?? Never heard of it.

Ceil, let us know how your day went!

BEagle.....please click on my name or avatar and then click on "email"---or Margy's----we need your mailing address!!

I went to the lake and got Mattie. Taking her back to Bluefield tomorrow.

Not at Karla's Camp Out tonight.
We had a super time last evening, with all of my children and grandchildren and assorted friends;)
Didn't want to be away from GG another night, so we decided to stay home, after checking in on her.
Got to bed last night (this morning) around 2:30pm and up and at em at 6am...not enough sleep.
Going to jump in bed very shortly.

GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL

hedgie said...

Have been stewing all day....have a real puzzle. Four areas of HEAVY PS accumulation (planter, propane tank, frame of sliding door on balcony, and log ends on one corner of house)----as if there is a nest above each area....but there is not a nest to be seen anywhere........very strange.

Mema Jo said...

If it is a large propane tank and has a lid on top - watch out when you open it - great place for bird nest. If you mean a small tank for a grill the above will not apply.

hedgie said...

Have had that happen before, Jo----scared the PS outta me!!! But I checked, and no nest there this year.

Mema Jo said...

Well I hope you solve the Mystery Poopers!

I am about to head back the hallway.

Wanda glad you had a good time and also thankful GG was fine when you stopped by.

Did you eat the entire Pineapple Upside down Cake, Lynn? All by yourself?

hedgie said...

Ready to turn in. Y-a-w-n! Tired and sleepy. Prayers for all, especially Vicki and her family. According to news update today, still no recovery. Very sad.

hedgie said...

P.S.
Jo, the P-US-D cake was several weeks ago. This week was my coconut birthday cake that I made, plus the red velvet that Christie bought for me. I ate all of the coconut and about a third of the red velvet...sent the rest of it home with kids.

Wanda, glad you had a nice time last at the party, but understand your desire to come home early.

Night-night.

Lolly said...

Hi all! What a day! Buying a car is so nerve racking! We went for the Ford Expedition. It is really pretty....Silver Metallic. Silver interior. Have a funny story. It has Blue Tooth and my phone directory has been loaded into the new car. So, we came home and grilled steaks and opened a bottle of wine. After we ate we decided to go sit in the car and listen to the Serius radio and set some stations. So, we are sitting there (the phone is inside), the phone rings and I have to figure out how to answer. Jack and I sit there and talk to Larry, my brother and on the dash it says "Larry". Weird! Technology is beyond my comprehension!

Judie said...

Just stopping by to say goodnight. Will catch up and tell about the graduation tomorrow. Have one more "assignment" for tomorrow afternoon -- the last home baseball game and my baseball playing students asked if I would come and said I would.

Turning my light off but leaving the night light on for others who may come in late.

Lolly said...

Enjoy the baseball game, Judie! I am sure you will!

Nite all!

Sweet dreams!

Mema Jo said...

Fantastic things these new cars can do! You just have to be smarter than the car! lol Good Luck Lolly!

Have a good day tomorrow Judie - don't get a sun burn.. wear a hat!

Good Night All!
Prayers for everyone especially Vicky and family..

I can't believe Lynn ate the whole coconut cake! Well! It was her b-day!

((hugs)) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I know your are all still in bed snoozing, lucky everyone !!!

I still havn't been able to get to Church again, 3 weeks now, and the bloomin car is sick too, I feel like a heathen,I miss communion, but it can't be helped, i can't walk all theat way, now we have moved, I was spoilt at the old house, Church was just at the bottom on my old garden, a two minute walk,,,,
I trying hard to change all my old URL address's, done this one as you can see,, just another 200 to go [ phew ],,,,
Looked in on Palmer, WHAT a big girl she is now,, and those feet !!! Can look in on my Ospreys but I'm having problems changing my URL,,I could strangle the person at Virgin Media for causing all this mess,,,,
Finished sewing curtains now, just waiting on the rails and fittings to get fixed, and then I can hang them,,very ,very high Victorian windows in the old house, so heaven help the vertigo climbing the ladders,,

Helen pet, I see Mei isn't pregnant, that upsets me,, does this mean both Mei and Tian will be going back to China in December ???

As some of you know I've spoken to Iris on the phone on Thursady evening, we chatted about her coming up here to visit, she said she would speak to Gillian as she wanted to come visit with her friends grangmother who lives here in Kidderminster as well,, Iris said she would be in touch within 24 hours to let me know what's happening,, I've not heard back from her and I'm getting worried,, I hope all is well with them both, and that it's just that they are having too much fun and havn't found time yet to call me back,, I'll wait to see if she calls sometime today,,if not I'll send another e-mail to her,,,,,,,,

I'll let you all know when I have more news ???

Right I still have mountains of work to get done here, this might be a fleeting post, I'll try to get back when I've done all my jobs,,,

Please fogive all the news I've missed and all the troubles and pains that some of you are going through at the moment,, I've tried to read back through all the back posts,, but as you can imagine there are so many, I pray for all of your upsets and I cannot find anything new regarding Vicky's brother, I send my heartfelt prayers to her family,,,,

God Bless everyone, each and everyone one of you are in my heart,,Ilove you,,

Good morning, Chrissy!

So good to hear from you.

We have missed you and your cheerful e-mail messages. Sounds like you are very busy getting settled in. I am sure the good Lord understands your absence from church.

Woodpecker pecking on my house and on my neighbor's house. Noisy!

Got an ant problem here, and I seem to be out of the aunt baits I use. Gotta do something about that.

Susan and will are still sleeping in this morning. We sat up late last night visiting.

stronghunter said...

Margy, I like your avatar. Would not have known what kind of flower it is. Very pretty.

stronghunter said...

Judie, enjoy your baseball game.

stronghunter said...

Fledges . . . I guess we don't know from what position Hidey fledged, but he/she fledged by accident with the help of a gust of wind late one night when we weren't watching--on May 30. We woke up to find an empty nest that morning.

ceil said...

Good morning all. THe loon cam is back up. Mom was swimming in the distance and I saw the 2 eggs. Mom got back on the nest.
Chrissy so glad to hear from you.
Lynn things went well at the Aquarium yesterday. Learning so much. Really do love it.
Have a great day.

Good morning!

Chrissy, what a special treat to see a message from you. Hoping that you and Iris can get together and have a lovely visit. Stay in touch as you have time.

Palmer resting.

Shirley, glad you are having a nice visit with Susan. How are her critters?

Leaving graduation last night, did see the moon pointed toward Venus. Pretty sight. Sat on a bench and looked for a few minutes.

Cool avatar, Margy. Have seen the name Goats Beard and Oyster Flower but never one in bloom. Pretty.

Ceil, glad you are enjoying the aquarium and I can only imagine the fun of all you are learning.

Leaving campus last night, security procedures were being set up for commencement today -- roads being blocked off, etc. I am proud of our students for meeting Mrs. Obama's challenge -- they exceeded the hours of community service.

Off for some coffee and newspaper. Will visit before the game -- and Jo, I will wear a hat. Supposed to be nice today. Strange to have a game on the day of commencement.

Oh, one last thing. Been looking into a steam mop for kitchen floor, Bissell or Shark. Anyone had any experience?

Costume Lady said...

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...
Yes, Thelma, it was sooo good to hear from Chrissy!
Hated that she wasn't able to stay in her old house, but guess, the Lord has other plans for her.

Judie, been meaning to ask...are you able to walk better now?

Costume Lady said...

I use a rag and a bucket of water. Hard on the knees, but does and excellent job. Think I need to get me one of those Sharks;)

Time is flying, this morning. Need to get dressed and outta here.

Based on live viewing of the Eagle Cam video feed, it appears Avis (our older eaglet) is branching, but neither eaglet is flying just yet.

We'll post new videos later in the week.

Judie said...

Hi Wanda, yes, some of us are getting into Sharks, I guess.

Thank you, Mits. I've done some research and the Shark does have some good reviews. No Consumer Report rating.

I am able to walk short distances but still need to stop to let the legs rest. I have a lady who comes in half-days once a week to help with house work -- she's hands and knees but the floor is white and almost 23 years old -- dingy cause of ground in dirt. So, looking for a way I can clean the floor, if needed, without serious physical pain.

Hi T-Bird.

Hi Paula, hope the festivities were great fun.

Wanda, give GG an extra hug today, please.

BEagle said...

You probably already know, don't have time to review posts,

Loon cam is back up

BEagle said...

Hello everybody.

My clothes dryer went out and I am trying to get my laundry scene worked out.

I see right next to the posting box that the creature on the Hornby nest is a midshipman fish.

Don't remember ever hearing of that type of fish.

The nest is located out in the ocean sort of, so it makes sense they would bring in strange things. Correct me if I am wrong.

hedgie said...

Good morning all.
What a treat to see a post from Chrissy!!! Certainly hoping that Iris gets back in touch....Tues. is only 2 days away!
Judie, glad you made it through graduation....aren't you glad you don't have to go today? Mall already looks like a crazy scene! Enjoy your ball game this afternoon. Hoping the student who fell from 5th floor window wasn't one of yours.
Wanda, you should NOT be on your knees for any reason! I did that on a bum knee for about 5 yrs. and finally said "nevermore" and have had carpeted kitchens and baths ever since!
Sissy, hope you get your work knocked out early so you can enjoy your afternoon.
Anyone notice that since Shar got her new car, she is ALWAYS taking little jaunts??!!

hedgie said...

Shirley, so glad you are having a good time with the kids....two mother's days is good!
BEagle, hope you didn't have a load of wet clothes ready for that dryer!

stronghunter said...

Judie, Susan's critters are okay, except the two chinchillas she already had refuse to accept the third one--the rescued one--so she has to keep them separated. She is also taking care of a couple of chinchilla babies right now. I do not know why she takes on so many critters . . . well maybe I do. She really loves animals.

stronghunter said...

Lynn, I was really happy when Susan called and said she was on the way down here last night. She is usually too busy to spend much time here.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

And my next jaunt is going to Bluefield to participate in my sponsor's 2 year recovery celebration! YAY!

stronghunter said...

Shhhh, don't tell anyone, but today is the day Rus pops the question. At least, it is the official day the engagement starts. Since she helped pick out the ring, she does know, but he hasn't told her officially when he will give it to her. But since they have a special date tonight, I expect she knows.

He was surprised that I knew about the special date, but his sisters tell me things, and the special date is why he can't be here for our Mother's Day celebration.

paula eagleholic said...

Palmer up fro some wing flaps...those wings take up the whole nest!

paula eagleholic said...

and a poop shoot, too :)

Mema Jo said...

Good Morning All! Everything is buzzing around here today.
Shirley - I think Russ has an excusable reason for missing the dinner.
Great to see Chrissy in print right here! That gal across the pond really did give us some worries BUT now we are back to norm. I'm sure Iris will not leave without meeting up with her.
Enjoy the game Judie.. After the game from what I am reading, you are free for the summer!
Yepper - our Eagle Eyed Sharon has been putting the miles under her - Sharon are you checking the oil and tire pressure regularly? lol
Ceil - I can't wait for a guided tour as soon as you get 'certified' Road Trip.....
BEagle - looks like they ate to whole midshipman at Hornby!
I am getting ready to head on over for the peonies! CU LATER

Shirley, just saw an "ask the columnist" thing in the paper today about whether it would be proper to post a pic of an engagement ring on FB....answer was YES! I'm sure that she and Rus are both very excited! And, yep, good reason for him to miss your celebration tonight!

Quick visit,

NBG eaglet Camelia has started to branch. She's the one with the transmitter. Others soon to follow, no doubt.

Palmer busy rearranging furniture near the tree. Looks windy.

Yes, it's over for me -- the semester, that is. Now can try to plant some flowers and help with some yard work -- mostly trying to figure out what to do about the snow-damaged shrubs that are not recovering.

Shirley, enjoy the day and enjoy knowing Russ has a very good reason for not being with you. Thanks for the update on Susan's critters. I really want to get more furry companions but haven't been able to convince Darth.

Um, BEagle, I know a place where your dead dryer can find happiness in the laundry afterlife -- a dead washer is hidden far, far away disguised as a shiny garland.

stronghunter said...

Palmer is studying the tree trunk?

stronghunter said...

Hi Judie!!

So glad to see Chrissy's message!!!!You go, girl! Hope she & Iris can get together.
Nice to see there were some celebrations for some of our Momsters~~~Lynn, Wanda, Shirley & Paula! (Hope I got everyone!) And Judie gets the see the game!!
Got some fun chores (plants)& should go in to work to finish some banners. Saw a fox there briefly on Fri., but they stopped cutting the grass in our front field, so it's blocking those great hedgerow views.
Off to do something ☺ ☺ ☺

hedgie said...

That was "one" of the momsters---Karen by name!

Gotta get ready to go to my meeting...we will be selecting a name for our group...we have been going by Unchain Berkeley, but with the proposed ordinance heading for adoption, we will be expanding our animal advocacy, so need a broader name!

Then my puter geek will be coming after I get home....so see y'all later!

BEagle said...

Hi again.
I am watching Palmer stretch those wings out.

If the babies fledged from the 4 or 5 position then do you suppose that is why Palmer is hugging the cam tree?

BEagle said...

With the help of my computer geeks, I believe that the belt came off the drum in the dryer.

It stopped with half dry clothes so I am carrying my clothes to one of my neighbor friends.

stronghunter said...

BEagle, I don't remember exactly when I first started watching Hidey, but I think I watched about a month before the fledge. I first posted a message on the morning of the fledge when everyone was wondering what happened to Hidey. I have written a note to myself that it was 8:59 AM when I first posted a message.
