GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!---CONGRATS!--RED---our #1 EAGLE DAD---today & everyday!!----MORNIN' STEVEN---RED---DANA---& HELEN!!---I feel I have been blown away & then returned!---The wind BLEW VERY HARD all night----scary at times---ho!---Sun is rising & temp at 40°---here in the WV HILLS!!----Do you suppose the ROYAL COUPLE will be spending NEW YEARS EVE at home???---ho!
Good Tuesday morning to RED, HELEN, DANA, NORMA, AND SLEEPING MARGY! It looks like a sunny day here today too. Doesn't sound as if we have had a visit yet to our nest. I was afraid that I missd them, getting up so late.
NORMA Don't get too excited about UNC yet. They haven't started playing any games within our ACC division yet. AND then there is always Duke :( Thanks for the excitement tho. :) Time will tell if we can hold onto #1. There are a lot of good teams out there.
I just checked on the donkey too Norma. Came back and seen your post. Hummmm where did those donkeys go??? Maybe to the Christ Child for the Christmas Scenes and not back yet??
Thanks HELEN for the good weather report for our eagles. Hopefully, that will be a good start for their New Year 2009. Good weather brings good things happening.
good morning DEB. I just posted two eagles and then looked at them and saw I was mistaken. I was just getting ready to print a retraction, when you verified it for me. :)
My uncle had to have emergency surgery last night. He had a clot on each lung and something on his spine(that's all I know at this point). Immediately after surgery he couldn't move his arms or legs. I am hoping that has changed now, but it is only 6 AM there so I probably won't get an update for a while.
My husband had 3 blood clots in lung. They put him in the hospital and started meds right away. But he didn't have to have surgery. Must be something different with your Uncle. I certainly hope and pray all things went well and your Uncle is doing good. Let us know Deb.
Oh gosh DEB, I am very sorry to hear about your uncle. Hope he is doing much better when you contact them this morning. I will keep your uncle and his family in my prayers for a recovery.
Morning all. No visit this am, huh? Our pair must be hunkering down to stay out of this crazy wind! Had my own little version of "The Birds" this am...getting wood off woodpile and and a small flock of fighting titmouses (?titmice?) came swooping under the deck. Felt like a wing brushed my hair...think I scared them as much as they scared me! They flitted in and out of chain link fencing for a moment and then continued to fly and fight down to the corn feeder.....crazy birds! Deb, hope your uncle is doing better today...prayers, of course!
Good morning Loretta and welcome. Hope you brought your breakfast to the computer, as our Liberty and Belle are keeping us on the edge of our seats waiting. :) DANA left for coffee and that didn't bring them in. The wind has probably got them hunkered down somewhere.
Good morning everyone. Another cold but sunny day here. Hmmm I want to go see eagles but I have to work the overnight tonight. Maybe a few minutes this morning. well time will tell. Still coughing think I was out int he cold air too long yesterday but it was well worth it. I can talk though which is a good thing.
Just scanned yesterday afternoon's blog!----MORNIN' DEB---NATURENUT---& HEDGIE!!---DEB!--sending prayers & good thoughts to your uncle and family---GOD BLESS--
DEB!---Are you taking it easy??---just read you stepped into a hole!!---BUMMER!!--I hope you feel better---Isn't your sister coming tomorrow????----How many birds did you count & what kind?---or have you already listed them-----I'm beginning to sound like a census taker!----ho!
Norma, we saw 43 different birds, too many to mention them all. The highlights were a black-crowned night heron, greater white fronted goose, Screech owl, and great horned owl.
Mason is out of his coma. He has passed through the phases or levels to self awareness and aware of his surroundings.
He can respond to various commands and we are hoping that he can start to use his voice soon. We are always trying to add to his repertoire. He does get tired of us, you can tell when I'll come into the room, he pretends he's asleep, he always did that anyway. He and we had lots of visitors this weekend.
Mason's sisters,Theresa and Pat were up, my friend Elizabeth, all musicians, so Mason had music in the morning and afternoon each day. Pat would play things they used to play together and Mason was right there, then Pat would play one of his esoteric things and Mason would check out till Pat moved on to something else. Mason's friends Kyle and Ben came up, we tried to make Kyle play the maraca,(we have only one) to the fiddle jam.
It was fun, thanks for coming up.
We are looking forward to getting out of 2008 and put our energy into 2009.
Have a safe and Happy New Year.
Love and Peace from Paoli, soon to be Love and Peace from Newtown Square.( Our next house)
You Go Mason! I had bacon yesterday & couldn't get my mind off of you!! Just surfed all the cams that are up and read all your comments & my emails. I guess I am ready to go with the flow!
GOOD MORNING I guess we are about to start a New Year! We have been together for some time now! Maybe we will get some new "birders" like we did last season! All of you are GREAT You make my mornings worth getting up for!
MORNIN' MEGAN!----So much good news about MASON!!---I PRAY that each day of 2009 will bring more improvement----He has been blessed to have such wonderful friends & family caring for him---Wishing you all much LOVE & PEACE!!
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...AND...a good morning it is. I think I am on the road to recovery now. The good Capt. brought me some Immodium yesterday and I am sure it is helping. I wish I had taken it sooner...or maybe not (I am 7 pounds lighter):):) Feel good, but like a Rag Doll.
Jo, I have also been thinking about our group, and our Newbies (who aren't so new anymore). Everyone of them have brought something to our blog and lives...Joy, Entertainment, Knowledge, Laughter and much LOVE! What great additions they have brought to our group this year. I LOVE US:):)
Helen, did you have a long bout with bathroom issues? I did for 6 days and didn't have sense enough to ask for Immodium. I am not one to get sick very often and couldn't even think of what might help me. Speaking of not thinking straight...I must have been a bit delerious. I was just looking at Glo's Glimpses, and saw where, on the 24th of Dec. I wrote: If you look to the left on the frosty picture, you can see a man holdingt a bouquet of ferns and he also has wings. WELL, I, for the life of me cannot see anything even closely resembling that now!;)TEE HEE
roflmbo...Wanda, that flu was something else.....yes it was 6 days....then just felt really washed out after it left, I lost my appetite, but it found me.
I have been on the phone for the last hour and it sounds like my Uncle Bob will not regain use of his legs. Of course we are still hoping for a miracle, especially since 2 of my cousins saw him move his toes just a little. We will just have to wait and see and keep praying for that miracle.
Wanda, you are so sweet! I am so glad I found you guys as well! Glad you are feeling better. Holidays are not the time to be sick, not the best diet. Speaking of diets....mine starts soon. Ohhhh! But I am serious. Retirement has not been good for me. So, it starts Thursday. There I have said it outloud...WILL stick with it!
Deb, that is too bad about your uncle...BUT, if his toes really moved, that's a good sign....we will all keep praying! Wanda is right, there is ONE who can make it all happen. Wanda, I saw that post, and I looked and looked at the pic, and I wondered what I was missing...couldn't figure out your vision at all...LOL!!! So glad you are better, but it's a heck of way to lsoe weight! I spent 10 min. trying to thread the needle on the sewing machine...argh!!! So frustrating...think I better make an eye apptmt. since I apparently need new glasses!!
Lun can't make up her mind where she wants that baby! Just keeps lugging him from one room to another and back...she can hardly carry him anymore!! Funny!
birds singing on PH. BW no one home and wind blowing at WV. turtle bay is foggy and cold. didnt need to look on monitor I looked outside. I hope it burns off.
The water behind the eagle at turtle bay is the Sacramento River. It starts above Shasta Lake and flows through the valley , Sacramento, Stockton and out into the ocean at San Francisco Bay. There is a building right below the eagle that is a nature center. Its a highway for salmon and stripped bass.
Deb hope that your Uncles toes moving is the sign from God. Prayers going up for him and family.
Sorry I left so fast. Oxygen man came. Then off to help hubby with post office stuff. Of course he had to stop and get the new book I gave him Christmas Money for. It came in today.
And here come Little Luney come on boy lift them hind legs. Come on just a little more. Pull yourself with the front ones. Your almost there. And he is in !!
That was pretty quick and quiet coming and going...nice wing flap noises.
DEB : Sendng the prayers to Scotsdale Arizona and for you and all the family...hope your uncle's condition improves despite the doctor's thoughts. I am so sorry to read of this sad situation.
Geula is safe and sound in Israel, as is her family. She has posted some messages on the Yahoo Momsters page. This is very comforting news. Prayers for Peace and resolution...
Yes, and let's hope for clear skies Wednesday night to see the Celestial Fireworks Megan mentioned last night.... Jupiter is visible, pretty low on the horizon....
Hope all have a warm, comforting, and encouraging evening.
I'm going to try to sneak in a visit with the Grandson...
Bronco Stadium is home to the only blue Astro Turf in the World. The current turf is the new "Astro Play" which was installed during the summer of 2002. It's also the third blue field at the stadium. Boise State established a first in 1986 by installing the first blue Astro Turf field. The second blue Astro Turf was installed in 1995. Other schools have special color projects for the end zone area, but Boise State is the first to have the entire field produced in a special color. There have been two previous green Astro Turf fields installed prior to 1986. The first was during the original construction of the current stadium in 1970, with the second installed prior to the 1978 season.
Boise State's blue football field remains an eye-catcher.
And that's exactly what Gene Bleymaier hoped for when he came up with the idea of dying the artificial turf at Bronco Stadium.
"I guess that I'm the type of person that when I paint my house I paint it a different color so the neighbors notice you did something," said Bleymaier, Boise State's athletic director. Bleymaier was the driving force behind Boise State's blue football field, which has grown into a tourist attraction rivaling potatoes for popularity in Idaho.

This was the site where the Osprey had the Blue Teddy Bear. Then the next season the blue cloth.
Yes Mits two beautiful Sea Eagles. The one closes to cam looks big. Don't know if that is female. Maybe it just looks big because it is close to cam.

birds singing on PH. BW no one home and wind blowing at WV. turtle bay is foggy and cold. didnt need to look on monitor I looked outside. I hope it burns off.
OK Deb your right. Its only 3 hours away from me but its clear as a bell there. I guess the fog is down here. Maybe I should take a ride.
When you get time look up Turtle Bay bridge. Its really beautiful.

BWE UPDATE... Nest Update
12/30/08:
On Tuesday both adults were on the nest, and one got comfortable for a bit (we assume it was the female).
Later we could see a grass cup where she had been sitting.
The earliest we've ever seen an egg at this nest is January 17.
Darn, I missed them!
SENT YOU A PIC, DEB

I got it, I think the lady is wearing a coat just like mine.

And there goes number two...I hear ducks..
And poof again. I remember, now, turning the volume down when I was on the phone this morning. Helps to have it turned up.

Geula is safe and sound in Israel, as is her family. She has posted some messages on the Yahoo Momsters page. This is very comforting news. Prayers for Peace and resolution...
It's really pretty, isn't it..few scattered clouds here, but the moon is in the clear.. Still 40° here...
Margy if I keep this up I'm going to learn some "planets". Venus is actually beautiful. Looks like a star with a spear heading downward brightly.
Hubby is watch college football Md vs Ariz. playing a Idaho...and I hate their "blue playing field". Don't they know out there grass is GREEN !
Prayers, for all...

Dana...ooh..that blue field IS terrible!!
I know Lynn I can't stand to watch it. Whatever made them to make grass "blue"???
Watching MD-NEV game. Wild & Crazy!! MD ahead at the moment.
Go Terps--He&% in a Shell!!!!
I ooops earlier comment should have been Md and Nev game where the field is "blue"....
Loretta do you like that blue field??? I don't !
