GOOD WEDNESDAY MORNING EVERYONE. Suzanne it is going to be around 90° down here for the nexr few days, but thankfully breeze is out of the NE. Visitors from Arizona said it was hot and sunny in DC yesterday, but that there was a nice breeze, they are headed to the beach this a.m.
Morning, Mits and Wanda! Glad your visitors are going to have nice weather, even if it is gonna be hot. They can always go to the beach and get in the water to cool off! That's nice, I'm glad they had a good time yesterday. It was hot here, but yes, there was a breeze. Wanda, hope your Eagle Express passes it's checkup with flying colors. I have to take my Toy car in every 5 weeks for my 5K oil change! But that keeps her healthy! Yes, I was surprised to find an MT nest when I brought the Fin cam up this morning! Didn't think he was quite ready to go either, but guess he showed us! He's even eating on his own now, but now mom is watching while he takes a nap. He's tired... all that flying around, and had to break up and eat that fish all by himself, plumb tuckered out now!
Not quite dawn in Kent, but light enough that you can see someone on the branch. I'm guessing that's Albert's new roosting place. Finland has beautiful weather today, looks like. MT nest, lots of Coromorants, water mucky, and most boats out. Was 1 stork in nest, but he took off a while ago, now nest is MT. Too dark to see swallows, owl hotel MT, PS down, and still 1 owl in Benicia, and the sun's shining through the water in the Netherlands. Oh, hoodies have just arrived, 2 of them!
Fin mom is back, and think she brought another fish. He's got his talons on something huge! Gonna try with the bites, now. No, gonna look at it some more. Ok, here we go around in circles again. Well, it is a big fish...
IN THE FUTURE - please include a tissue warning!!!! I just read my e-mail from the momsters regarding Jo, and a tissue warning would have been nice! I can't believe the amount of love and compassion on this blog! Have a great day, everyone!!
LOL, see you when you get back, Wanda. Enjoy VA Beach with your Mom! Morning, Sunny! Great news about Jo, huh? Morning, Paula. It was a surprise this morning to find an MT nest! Just sent some pics around of Finland adventures this morning. Morning, Robyn. Yea, I thought it was early too, but guess he fooled all of us! Sent you the Fin pics also, you can share them with your Mom! He's still eating that big black fish. Takes him a while since he's eating it by himself. Eaglet in tree in Kent. Ahhhh... Mom just went over and got fish...maybe she's gonna help him, or she's gonna eat it.
Owl in hotel, burrowing owl cam open, nobody out yet, too dark in swallow nest, and PS still down. Both owls in Benicia, may be in for their night now. Storks out and about. Oh, Kent eaglet gone already. Falcon and BW both MT.
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!!---SUZANNE---MITS--WANDA & SUNNY!!!--I'M happy SUZANNE you got to see the FIN CHICK fledge---I have watched him for "DAYS"--thinking this is the day!!---ho!---That looks like a "whale" he is eating!!----Yup!--He is "PLUMB TUCKERED OUT"!---MITS---Your guests will enjoy this HOT weather!!---That's good beach weather----WANDA---You are going to the beach too!!---ENJOY BOTH OF YOU!!----It's going to be a "HOT ONE" in WV today--temp. is 67° here now!!!---(MITS--remember when you taught me how to make the temp key)----ho!---& I have certainly enjoyed using it!!!!!

You all are really a great group of ladies. Want to thank jill for her helping robyn yesterday. It was really appreciated and also want to wish Memo Jo God speed in her recovery. She is in our prayers.
Well, bless her heart. Poor Fin chick has been eating that fish for an hour! Now Mom is feeding him the rest of it. Gonna be nap time again, he wore himself out tackling that fish!
Morning, Bobbi, and WELCOME! Glad to see you on here! Ah hah, another lurker converted!!! LOL Sent Robyn some pics of our Fin chick this morning, so now you can see them too...
MORNIN' PAULA & ROBYN!!!----I read your cat was named YODA---Interesting---Daughter's BLACK LAB was named YODA!!---She got him when she was in college---I LOVED HIM DEARLY!!---BEAUTIFUL--
GOOD EAGLE MORNING TO SUZANNE, MITS, WANDA, NORMA, SUNNY AND BOBBI! Sounds as if evryone is having a good start to their Wednesday, hump day for Suzanne. :)
SUZANNE!---The SUN is really shining on the KENT NEST!!!---The STORK CHICKS---CHESS--MILA & GWEN--are enjoying their NEW FOUND FREEDOM---Will be back for DIN-DIN!!!---MUST LEAVE STUDY GROUP--JO is on our prayer list!!--
SUZANNE Your Fin chick has all grown up I see. :( It has been so much fun watching him. I just loved your explanations of him trying to eat his meal by himself. It must have been hilarious to watch.
WANDA So you are having the Eagle Express checked out for a trip to Va. Beach. That sounds great and you will be taking Mom this time. I hope you all have a nice time and you can look forward to many more trips. You will be just about 2 hours away from me when your in Va. Beach!
ROBYN So glad to hear that you got your dog back! They get to be like one of the family and give so much love and fun times. Sounds like Jill and others are going to have your house all ready for you to get home and get things moving so Tori can finally come back and be there. Good news there too.
BOBBI Glad to see that you are finally on our blog. Welcome aboard and hope you have many more pleasant hours here with all these beautiful people.
Norma, very bright sun at Kent. But can you tell, looks like the nest has collapsed to me, what do you think? Enjoy study group, Norma. Candy, it was kind of funny. On the 2nd fish, Mom finally took over and stole the fish, then started feeding the chick. He's exhausted now, doing some serious napping, and Mom is grooming. Beautiful sunny day on the other Fin cams, nice pics. Swallow babies are visible under their feather covers...
GOOD MORNING TO ALL OF YOU-- Have to make this quick--Grandson is eating breakfast, so I have control of the puter for a few minutes. He is having pizza for breakfast! And I can't believe I actually let him have it. Oh well, he does eat healthy most of the time. He loves salad.
BOBBI-- Glad Robyn got you set up and started on this fun and fullfilling adventure. I started in April and have enjoyed it more than I can say. I have never heard of a Wood Stork. What do they eat and do you feed them to keep them around your house?
Wanda, sounds like you're going to have a fun day with your grandson. I remember about a hundred years ago, pizza for breakfast used to be pretty good during college! But it had to be cold. (Nowadays, ugh! for cold pizza...has to be hot for breakfast...)
NORMA Your storks have flown the coop and seem to be coming back less and less, usually to eat. :( And now the Fin juvie has fledged. Our babies are growing up and flying the coupe! :)
I can see wide open mouths on the swallow cam. I can never see what she feeds them tho. She only comes in for a quick feeding and then sits on them.
SUZANNE Did you see your divers yet this morning. I think you were the only one to see them yesterday. I had the cam on most of yesterday and I missed their return. Haven't looked to see if the Pa falcon cam is having it's general worker showing yet. :)
WANDA I wish I was at your house for breakfast today. That grandson of yours is a pretty lucky guy to have a grandmother who lets him have pizza for breakfast. I just love pizza and could eat it anytime; hot or cold.
We have a pair that brought their baby with them last year. They come around during the winter time. In the back of our house we have what you would call a run off which fills with water when we have rain. The woodstorks eat the tadpoles in the water also small fish if they can find any. They are really big and not pretty but seem to be very gentle. Not afraid of the people either. This pair lives here all year but not sure where. We have so many waterways here that we have an abundance of birds. Also have sandhill cranes now and then in the back but they are everywhere. Ospreys nests all over by the water and also eagles.
Then again it looked like just one baby and mom. Mom just flew off leaving baby, so we are waiting now for two chicks and Mom. The one left in nest sure has his position staked out for when she returns.
BOBBI-- Lucky you! Sounds like a zoo on your property. You spoke of having waterways; do you have a problem with vegetation closing them up and do Alligators ever wander onto your property?
Yeah, Candy, that's what they're supposed to do, but it's sad. Pretty soon all our nests are gonna be MT. Time for Frieda and frodo to lay an egg or two! No divers yet today. Think they were there yesterday a little later than this, don't really remember. Also nobody on the PA falcon ledge yet today. Guess we can't people watch today!! Wow, Bobbi, sounds like you could spend a lot of time bird watching right in your own backyard. That's cool!!! They were on the cover of the magazine, and I haven't read about them yet. I had never heard of wood storks till I saw them yesterday on the magazine.
OMG, our little Fin porker! Both Mom and chick were squaking, next refresh Mom had something in her talons. She went to side of nest, and chick was right next to her. Guess she's gonna feed him this one! He eats more in a day than I do in a week! Ok, she's started digging in, and he's right there!
We are not on a waterway but they are all around us about a mile away so don't have to worry about alligators but there are plenty.Husband used to play golf and always had at least one on the golf course to play around. Have seen quite a few sunning themselves. Kids always looking for them when they come down. lol. I used to do the samething when we came to florida.
SUZANNE How long do you think Mom will put up with the little Porker pushing her around before she lets him have a "trip to the moon"? The little stinker!
Hey Bobbi welcome. Glad to help Robyn. Hopefully by the time she gets home she won't have any carpet at all. Once the pics are off the wall, we will need to see if they need any patch work. Shouldn't take long, you know she doesn't have many of pictures of Tori around. LOL. Give them both a hug for us.
LOL, Candy, don't know. think she lost patience this morning when he was trying to eat that fish by himself. He was taking too long, so she stole it from him and fed him. I remember that... To the moon, Alice, to the moon!
I received a note from W Va Gal, Dana , yesterday and she had been back in the hospital for a couple of days. She said something about her stomach being messed up and she was dehydrated. She said that her knee replacement was doing well, and she had sent a note to Paula for Jo and hoped that it would go with the others.
GOOD MORNING JILL. That is so nice of you to e helping Robyn like you are. We all wished we could be there to help her, but mileage prevents it. So thank youo so much for stepping in and doing what you can. Foum the sounds of it, you have really put the main dent in the work. That will help her out trememdously and get Tori back home sooner than soon.
Jill lol, there would have been plenty more but Tori put so much weight on the past 2 yrs with the prednasone she made me promise her I wouldn't hang anymore publicly. As soon as she shows signs of improving Doc will start weening her off the meds... YAY
ROBYN That will surely be a good day when Tori can get off the Predisone. That is a bad med and will puff you all up. It is a wonder drug, but can have bad effects on some.
Candy we are taking Tori tomorrow for a bone densitometry test to make sure she isn't getting osteoparosis from the steroids, then an echo cardiogram to make sure the lung disease isn't causing her heart to be restricted.
SUZANNE New thread is up. Yes hi is getting really huge. I wonder how long it takes for them to get the white head feathers, etc. I guess I'll have to do a little reading.
Hey you tell Tori she looks just fine. Not like those skinny little things with bones sticking out all over. Rather see her like she is than looking like a skeleton. I know she will be glad to get off some of the meds tho.

Isn't the news about Jo wonderful? Just can't say enough about the power of prayer.
What a surprise to see 'Baby Fin' take off so quickly. After watching Albert take so long to fledge, this was remarkable.
Gene took the Eagle Express to have a check-up this morning. Hope it passes it's exam.
Awww, is the Eagle Express feeling under the weather, Wanda, or is this a regular check-up:)?
Morning, Mits and Wanda! Glad your visitors are going to have nice weather, even if it is gonna be hot. They can always go to the beach and get in the water to cool off! That's nice, I'm glad they had a good time yesterday. It was hot here, but yes, there was a breeze.

Did you? That was cool, wasn't it, Mits. Yes, it is nice there... for a change! Man, they get more rain than Germany!
SUZ--
Yes, we are planning a trip to Va. Beach and if my Mom does well on this short trip, we will go to Savannah, Ga.
Fin chick is really growing up fast; next thing you know, he will be getting his own meals.
Grandson is awake now and I see him eyeing up my puter. If I don't get back for awhile, you'll know what happened. lol

I guess I'll have to do a little reading.
then when we get the good news she is fine we can work 100% towards her recovery

Won't that be a super day and a new beginning for your family.
NEW THREAD!!
I know it's been said before, but...
Jim
Hey you tell Tori she looks just fine. Not like those skinny little things with bones sticking out all over. Rather see her like she is than looking like a skeleton. I know she will be glad to get off some of the meds tho.
