HI JO!!---The BEARS are AWESOME this evening!---so many of them & I agree---the sound of the rushing water is soothing!!---HEY!!---We are all gonna rush down to the hospital with our CAMERAS!! ho!---Must get one of you riding the bike in your room!!!---GOOD IDEA TO SAVE THE BOOK TO READ----Time flies when you are reading a "POTTER BOOK"!!!
JO!!---You know I ENVY you with your close family--- Must be Wonderful!!---Yes--Had my Sat. morning calls! ho!--Hope to see the GRAND-KIDS tomorrow!---There DAD isn't giving us much time with them!!---That's the way this stuff works!!---I will be HAPPY WITH A HUG!!---YOU STAY IN MY THOUGHTS---STAY COOL!!
HEY JIM!---How did your meeting at work go?---Any changes---Hope every thing worked out in your favor!!!------Some time change is good----Some time it's not!!
Yes Norma, JO is lucky to have her middle name be family. I only have one son that is still datiing. :) I'll probably be dead by the time he has children, and Jo already has great grand children. I had Josh when I was 32 after being married for about12 years. I think that is why I still am in Kindergarten; to be around the little ones.
CANDY---SURE sounds like they are having fun!!---bet they don't know lots of people are listening in!! Did you notice the FIN site was a little darker than usual!!
Actually, Mema Jo, I've been at that company for nearly 22 years, and I was thought by someone to be on the list to go many times since the early 90's.
Well, this time I actually was terminated.... But I had been fairly ready to retire for some time, and I think that was a factor...they give employees being terminated a list of the ages of people going to cover themselves legally, but both of us, who went in our department, are retirement age or older.
I'm not unhappy about it, and I got a pretty good package to tide me over. They 'made it possible for me to collect up to a year's Unemployment' as well, whatever that means. Wouldn't I be able anyway??
JIM Sorry to hear about your job. This is they way things are played out anymore, and I am sure aware of it now that I am approaching 64 in Aug. It is cheaper to pay a new employee than what you were getting paid. They probably did you a favor. Now you can lead the life of luxury unless you want to volunteer places or take a side job just to keep busy
I can't believe how the birds just stand around all the bear and they make no move to eat them. Well, at least these bears aren't getting the poisoned fish from China. :) They can eat their own home grwon fish right there in the river.
WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF RETIREMENT It is really a great feeling of freedom and it sounds like you got a very good package. I think it is up to the corp as to how long the unemployment benefits last. Most corp's only give 2 or 3 months. It will take some time to get new routines after 22 years.
Welcome back PAULA. We have been watching and listing to the bear cam for awhile. First they were trying to fix cam and talking to someone on ham radio or tele to see how it looked. Then he went on to tell how they keep track of who is who. and now he is talking again.
Paula, I guess I am thinking that when a corp eliminates an entire department and you have an option of going elsewhere in the corp and don't find anything - the unemployment can be shorter -- OR is it mandatory in MD to give the 6 months?
In Maryland, if you are "laid off or reduction of workforce" you are eligible for 6 months. This sounds like how they are terming it for Jim so he can collect unemployment.
Back with my bowl of ice cream w/ hot fudge on it. Darn stuff was so hard to get out of the container, a sliver did one of those "flips" out of the carton and landed on the floor...the dog rushed over and cleaned it up for me! Thank goodness it was the strawberry ice cream...
PAULA Yes, it has come back on, Wonder if the man that was there bumped into it. Whatever. It is moving all around now; skyward, whatever. It is like he took it off his mounting.
I heard the guy yesterday, alomost sounds like the same thing that he was saying yesterday. Candy Finland is 7 hours ahead of us and the days, like, here are getting shorter already.
We soon should start to see Freida & Frodo on their ledge. It's tomorrow around 1pm there now. I wonder if they placed all new stones on the ledge? They're clean.
That's correct Candy, they are 7 hours ahead.....didn't go to beach today, JO...watched the QVC special for Ovarian Cancer...took a short nap...went to church...picked up something to eat and have been watching TV tonight.
Update: Another curious bear has interferred with our camera. Please refresh your Internet browser if you experience a break in the feed. Read more about this issue >> On their forum people have been having problems with the bear cam.
Oh boy, I just heard the clock hit ll oclock. I have to go to mass tomorrow morning yet. JO, I wasn't as smart as you, but James sings in the choir, so we go at 9:00 :( Talk to you all tomorrow. You all have a nice peaceful, restful night. GOOD NIGHT FOR TODAY.
Good evening everyone or good morning, I am getting ready to go to bed since we have 587 miles to get through tomorrow as we head into Winter Haven to see some dear friends from NY who relocated then off to mom and dads monday.
We had the most wonderful time with family and need to make this a vacation at least every other year now. It was like old times everyone just 20-25 years older, even their children have all graduated college or just entering. Nothing like family!
Jo we will be thinking about you tuesday.
I'll be back monday when we get to mom and dads...
GOOD MORNING EAGLE WORLD, and Jim. Just finished reading last nights blog and see that you all sent off about the same time as I did. Sorry we couldn't wait up for you Jim.
ROBYN Glad to hear from you. You were really up late when you have that long trip ahead of you today. So glad to hear that all went well on your visit and now you are on to more excitement. Just drive carefully and look out for the other driver. You and the girls are having a super time together. It is fun to have you check in and let us know how things are going.
Well, it is almost time to get ready for church, so I will BBL. EVERYONE HAVE A VERY NICE DAY TODAY. It sounds like someone must ge getting rain.:) Eyes to the sky.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE-- We had a nice rain here in Shepherdstown/Martinsburg. Pro bably 1 inch. Hope Megan got the same so she can stop doing the Rain Dance!
We have had many blessings this week among us Momsters, for which we give thanks. We are praying for a special blessing for one of our own next week.
Robyn and Candy and the rest of our group, have a Blessed Sunday.

The fish started leaping again. Should see some bears getting some.
Jim
Thank you Jim. Did anything interesting go on at work on Friday with the restructuring? Did you just get more work piled on you?
JO You are talking about a hospital stay? Have you said that before on the BLOG? If so, I didn't read it on here. Just wondering.

Looks like both Einstellia and Albert are down in their nest now waiting for dinner.
I guess Eggbert has flown the coupe. i hope not for good. His nest is MT
Looks like Fin Juvie is still sleeping off a good night's sleep.
Boy is sure sounds like the people at the bear cam site are having a good time.

"Onward and upward."
Jim
Sun rising on Fin chick. He is getting more fidgety. the cam is already dated the 29th , my sister's birthday.
The Swallow chicks are visible again.
But I can't see all the BEARS---We were watching about 8-9 bears at least!!
Just noticed, it was Norma, who asked about the job restructuring.. Sorry.
Jim
DINNER--I'M STARVING---
Both Kent juveniles are 'kicked back' in the nest right now.
Jim
Norma, Paula or Mits pointed out that the daylight hours are dwindling.
Got to go for now, eagle lovers. Talk to you later.
Jim

They are talking about the bears again, if you want to listen. One bear close up.
Can it stil be that light in Alaska or are we watching a rerun?
First time I have heard voices...
Jim - sounds like you have a good attitude. Collect the unemployment!
I agree with Candy - go for it!
I can't believe how the birds just stand around all the bear and they make no move to eat them. Well, at least these bears aren't getting the poisoned fish from China. :) They can eat their own home grwon fish right there in the river.
Sounds like the bear guy is talking on the phone.
Heard some thunder - hope we get some rain, got only 1/10 inch today :(
No Jim - you were correct - I was the 1st to ask and then Norma's thoughts were the same & she also asked
WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF RETIREMENT

Nope, no rain.

Hi Paula, no rain here yet.
Grizzly bear time is 5:43 PM AST
He is giving all the names of the bears...........
One bear is named Dallas. Next one is named aardvark, Ivan, light colored bear is Albert, an old bear. couldn't catch some of the others.
Duh - Thanks Jo!
HE GOT A BIG FISH !!
Been good fishing there today.
FISH FIGHT FISH FIGHT
Jo - Jim said he could collect unemployment for a year. You can collect it for 6 months in Maryland.
I LOST THE BEAR CAM! Did anyone else?
I still have the cam but no talking at this time--just rushing waters
Oops! He's back.
Paula, I guess I am thinking that when a corp eliminates an entire department and you have an option of going elsewhere in the corp and don't find anything - the unemployment can be shorter -- OR is it mandatory in MD to give the 6 months?
Well for sure we will hear from Jim more often and that will be nice.
In Maryland, if you are "laid off or reduction of workforce" you are eligible for 6 months. This sounds like how they are terming it for Jim so he can collect unemployment.
I need ice cream! BBL
Ice cream sounds good to me Jo. I am sitting here eating a piece of watermelon.
OK, so I'll get some ice cream too!
Been wanting some anyhow!
Woo hoo it's finally raining!
Hey everybody. Unemployment in WV is 6 months. Can somebody give me the bear website address, please?
Back with my bowl of ice cream w/ hot fudge on it. Darn stuff was so hard to get out of the container, a sliver did one of those "flips" out of the carton and landed on the floor...the dog rushed over and cleaned it up for me! Thank goodness it was the strawberry ice cream...
Jill - Here's the cheap version you can copy and paste...
http://magma.nationalgeographic.com
/ngm/wildcamgrizzlies/
The bear cam and sound keep going off on my pc. I only have the blog and the Finland site up with it.
HEY JILL, these bears sure have been fun to watch tonight. I sure wished they'd get it so it stays on.
Candy - same here.
Jill - you still in Philly?
I reloaded whole page - hasn't helped
Back now
PAULA Yes, it has come back on, Wonder if the man that was there bumped into it. Whatever. It is moving all around now; skyward, whatever. It is like he took it off his mounting.
It appears they are still working on the grizzly cam.
I heard the guy yesterday, alomost sounds like the same thing that he was saying yesterday. Candy Finland is 7 hours ahead of us and the days, like, here are getting shorter already.
Alaska time is 4 hours behind us.
Mits I just looked and it says that it is 5:28am at the Fin nest now.
Boy that ice cream was good. Thanks for the suggestion, Jo!
The storm is still rumbling around up there. Some rain but not a downpour like we need. It is still so humid-hot.
Yep! The ice cream hit the spot!
Mits - did you go on the beach today?
THANKS A LOT JO AND PAULA. I hope you enjoyed your ice cream. My husband is sitting where I would have to go and he would see me. :( :)
I think someone fell asleep at the grizzly cam...pic hasn't moved...
I'm sorry, Candy!
All you have to do is dish up 2 servings - Hand hubby his and then walk right back to the computer with yours!
OH NO YOUR ANREN'T PAULA. I can feel you smiling. :)
PG ALERT
Eggbert is visiting the nest. He really fills it up!
Candy - You're right! I burst out laughing when I read your post!
My hustand would just look at my size and shake his head/ :(
Thanks, Jo! Did anyone notice beakspeak redid the links page?
Oh good JO, your Eggbert came home for the night maybe. At least we know he is still coming back to the nest.
We soon should start to see Freida & Frodo on their ledge. It's tomorrow around 1pm there now. I wonder if they placed all new stones on the ledge? They're clean.

No one at Kent nest.
I gave up on the bear cam for today.
Fin osprey still in nest; waiting for him to do wing flaps.
Saw the beakspeak home page yesterday. Bet Jason was glad to get it back to the norm.
Rain is over, but I actually had to dry off the dog - can't remember last time I had to do that!
Sounds relaxing, Mits. Storming up here now. Anything down there. I love seeing lightning over the ocean.
Bear cam is back - that note has been there for a couple of days, Jo.
Yes, Paula, I know.
Good night!
Eggbert still flaked out in the nest.
Night, Mits!
Sometimes the refresh helps, sometimes it doesn't. Didn't have any problem with it yesterday.
And yup that was you Mits, not Jo!
Good night, Candy!
Well I am going to close up shop!
Good Night everyone
Peace to you and yours
Prayers being said for all needs
About time for me to hit it too. Close 'er down, Jo. Good night!
Ok, so I'll shut it down unless Jim pops back in!
Good night eagleland friends!
GOOD NIGHT/GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE...
