Hello there everyone Mits we'll wait for the official word about Mei from you and your sources. Not a TV reporter.. Glad to see Palmer is doing so great and growing so fast. He must be a teenie bopper now.
Howdy Friends. Stormy day here in Alabama but I just found something I thought your might like to see. Its a radio controled model airplane being chased by an Eagle.
neat Red, maybe a juvie, since I could not really see a white tail or head, but the video below it was interesting too, this time the eagle got the plane.
Good morning everyone. Thread is getting longer and longer. Long time til Monday morning especially if there is a panda birth :-) Hmmm wonder if part of parenting eaglets is to teach them about golf balls and remote control planes. I guess like humans they really never know what might cross their path in life. Enjoy your day. Thanks to those who have enjoyed Glo's Glimpses today. I am itching to get back up there before the leaves fill in much more on that tree, but its cloudy and rainy here again all weekend is the forecast :-(.
Now here are cattle out in the middle of another major road!! 911 contacting farmer at that location! The joys of rural driving!! Hope nobody hits a cow!!
I was hoping that our Norma would be able to come on and say Hello...I talked with her by phone today 1) she is okay, fine, been busy 2) computer got a clean-up, she was having some trouble bringing things back up 3) ooops, maybe she is having trouble signing on to the blog !
But she was able to see Palmer! and baby G on Paula's avatar....and read a few comments, and I brought her up to date on a few things. Hoping you can make a visit here, Norma ☺
WOW! Back from Mass and have eaten dinner here at the house... no new thread yet! Going to ask Steve to put us on automatic threads for weekends. That would sure work.
I need to go to the grocery store and to return the too-big sheets and pick up the right size.
I have to find some time tomorrow to write out a detailed lesson plan for my administrator. She is supposed to observe my class Monday, and then I have the SAT prep class Monday night.
I tidied up my desk before I left on Friday. Once when she came to visit, I hid some untidy stacks of papers behind my desk. Of course, she decided to sit at my desk. An administrator can sit wherever they want to. I just had to laugh about it. If she noticed, she did not comment.
I am setting up a nice spot at a table for her this time, but who knows?
It can get kind of challenging when you have to get to your computer or something on your desk and the observer is sitting there.
I wonder if anyone has seen the loon today... They probably don't get into the nesting platform until egg time! We had so much fun watching them last season.
Spidey's web is in place for the evening. Really makes it harder to see. I hear Palmer chirping.
Going to go listen for loons. Their call is so unique. I played a loon call for my students one day when we were reading Thoreau because he wrote about the call of the loon. I do not remember hearing them when I was growing up in North Carolina, but I heard them when we were in Minnesota.

Have a great day everyone :)
Finland nest still down, Finney's nest MT
don't think the blog knows how to count either....
Good morning my eagle momsters and dadsters.
I hope all is well.
hey there Thelma, long time no see.
Still no computer yet. It is in Roanoke, almost home.
what was wrong with it, Thelma?
LOL I think I need to buy a new thermometer. The one on the porch says 80 degrees. Don't think so.
Morning Thelma !
Why is your computer not with you?
See ya'll later tonight. Have a great afternoon!
I don't know MITS but they fixed it and it was still under warranty.
Mits, saw a post on FB about the Gao Gao scene on CH. 4. Do they really think panda people don't know the difference??? Duh!
Guess the BWE names are okay....certainly not anything that will stick in MY mind, for sure.
Speaking of names....can't begin to tell you the number of times I have started to type Hidey when meaning to say Palmer!!
Missed whatever the fuss was at the nest. Maybe Palmer, Lib and Belle were telling the rain to stay away!! Think it is imminent here.
Ha...it has already started. Sprinkling now.

Hi Thelma - everything still good with the job?
Sure hope we get a weekend thread on here soon....
I'm just now on my 2nd cup of coffee - I had a late start today.
All are on the nest presently. Palmer is very pretty. And moving things around on the nest. I missed the earlier reports about an intruder.
And I do hope the sweet geese moved out of the road.
I am going to try this again. I left my good manners at the auto shop.
GOOD MORNING TO ALL EAGLE FANS.
I am so glad to join you this morning and I do trust all will have a nice day.
A good cup of coffee is in order.

Mason's Update
Palmer is flaked out with talons showing! lol
I hear raindrops on the nest.
Palmer shoving self under Belle.
All is well on the IC nests. TH feedings are slowing down.
PH duo is eating, or at least one is. The other is plotzed.
WE is not sharing.
The OR nest is covered with snow...go figure.
Coffee was good. Think I will enjoy another.
I think that is Lib that Palmer is trying to cozy up to.
I love those big feet.
Palmer looks like me getting up. Trying to figure out what to do with the feet. lol lol.
That Caring Bridge website is so very nice.

Time for me to get the street clothes

Copy and paste the link I posted above. It's a goofy commercial but the end of it was to my liking.

cute commercial, BEagle:)

Enjoyed both videos! Thanks, BEagle and Red!!!
Belle if feeding Palmer now. Must be a reward for all the wing flapping
exercises performed by Palm.

Good Morning
for a Saturday
to you aLL.

I'm a bit behind the 8 ball anyway, and then I started watching the NFL Draft....
There's a lot of good players at all positions this year. And those linemen just keep getting bigger and bigger every year.
San Diego is doing alright in the draft, but, the trouble is, so are all the other teams they play most often. Hahaha.

Belle flew off to the left and Palmer sits looking in that direction.
A really good wiggle of the tail shows Palmer's feathers coming out on it.

Did someone mention that Mason has a new blog entry this morning??
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Yes about Mason on Caring Bridge.
Press Ctrl F and enter Mason in the find screen. That should get you there right away.
There are some interesting pics, videos, and info in the current Channel Island Reports too.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
BEagle.....how did you find/know that Ctrl F thing???? Way cool!!!!
Thanks!! Hope I can remember it next time I want to look for something!!!!
Glad to share that with you that short cut to find things Hedgie.
When the thread goes a distance, it really helps even tho it won't scroll into the next page.
Ctrl C will copy and Ctrl V will paste and the buttons are right next to each other.
yEAH, thanks, Beagle.
The "Ctrl + ...." commands look like they will be very useful.

Interesting views of the young eagles at all the Channel Island nests right now.

Lazy afternoon - It has gotten cold out there. Getting ready for Mass &
will touch base upon my return.
Palmer is working on a turtle
I guess Palmer is concealing the turtle it's underneath somewhere
feet, beak, flapping wings and turtle pics on Magpie's Roost link
I was hoping that our Norma would be able to come on and say Hello...I talked with her by phone today

Hi!
Wow! Eagle upset.
Oh, company for Palmer finally
ha ha maybe Palmer is mantling the turtle
Really missing our ray of sunshine, Norma.
Hi Shirley
did you find your energy?
If so, can you give me some tips on finding mine
it's been missing most of the day
maybe that turtle is visible now
can't tell little brown thing near the big stick
I have not expended much energy, Margy. I made it to the vets for George's medication and food. That is about it. I need to get busy.
I should have stayed on the phone to make sure Norma got signed on :(
I did tell her that some were having to try two or more times
she's going for a ramps dinner in Hampshire County Sunday ☺
I think it might be the turtle, Margy. I enlarged the pic and it looks to be a turtle shell.
ok bye
ttfn here too
xo
Wonder what is upsetting our parent.
have to unblog to go look at live feed
Much eagle calling taking place.
It happened earlier today, too.
live feed pretty much a no-go for me
saw those posts from earlier Shirley missed that too
Hope Steve is ok, been awhile since we went this long without a new thread
okay bye now
Bye, Margy.
Sorry you can't get the live feed.
Guess others are not on right now. Maybe they're watching the Panda cam.
Eagle still calling. I don't know which one it is.
Been calling for about half an hour.
Is this Lib calling for Belle or Belle calling for Lib???? I hope everything is okay.
Frantic calling now.
Palmer fed and now alone. I would like to see both parents to be sure that they are okay.
Must go take care of chores.
Yay! Both parents at the nest!
Nestorations.
Daniel has put up a nice video tribute he made to Tai Shan.
Tribute to Tai Shan
Well, that didn't work.......let me try again!!
Tribute to Tai Shan
Thanks, Lynn. Very nice tribute.
WOW! Back from Mass and have eaten dinner here at the house... no new thread yet! Going to ask Steve to put us on automatic threads for weekends. That would sure work.
Need to see what everyone has said...

Hi, Jo!
Yes, we are about to hit number 500.
Hungry. Doing a Judie. Found some frozen pork chops in the fridge, so I am thawing them.
Jo,
Last weekend, I went looking at the first months of this blog. I found a picture of you looking through a small telescope at the nest.
Terrible storms in Mississippi. Big tornadoes.
It was interesting to see who was here at the beginning.
Took time to watch the Tribute to Tai that you posted Lynn. Daniel did and exceptional job producing it.
Hi Shirley - We just warmed up the left over half of a roasting chicken -
2 meals with 1 chicken - Great on the budget!
I remember blogs from you, Paula, Jim, Glo, and others who are still around. I think there was a different Lolly. And Nilla.
I need to go to the grocery store and to return the too-big sheets and pick up the right size.
I have to find some time tomorrow to write out a detailed lesson plan for my administrator. She is supposed to observe my class Monday, and then I have the SAT prep class Monday night.
Maybe it is okay to be lazy today since I am getting ready to have a long day on Monday.
Shirley - That was the 1st ever Nest Visit. Steve took our group down the eagle path and set up the scope for us.
Sounds like you're going to take all tomorrow getting ready for your busy Monday!
Glad we are not playing WAX anymore or I wouldn't be taking #500.......
Wax! I could not remember what I was supposed to say if I hit #500! Well, now I think we have split.
Oh, I guess not yet for the split. That will be at 601.
I was interested in how the blog has grown since those days.
It was also interesting to see the nest with three eaglets.
We are supposed to have storms tomorrow, but they are saying that there should not be such bad tornadoes. I hope not.
Palmer is really sleeping.
I tidied up my desk before I left on Friday. Once when she came to visit, I hid some untidy stacks of papers behind my desk. Of course, she decided to sit at my desk. An administrator can sit wherever they want to. I just had to laugh about it. If she noticed, she did not comment.

We had so much fun watching them last season.
I remember the loon nest last year. The little ones were so cute.
don't see them, but sure do hear the loons:)
Checked out the two loon cams on Beakspeak. There was an interesting video about setting up the cam on the Biodiversity one.
To all, Here is a Blue Bird live cam for you. http://www.portal.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt?open=514&objID=643557&mode=2
The audio and night light will be great. Mits I had the cam on but not my speakers. Duh.......
Palmer talking to parent.
Hi Crunch!
HI all
Jo, the speakers have been down since this afternoon on the panda cams.....Hi Crunch:)
Crunch, I went to the website, but I didn't find the link to the bluebird cam.
That should be the link. It's the PA. Game Commission.
I see they have one egg, Crunch
Right, You got it.
I will try the link for Bob's cam:
PA blue bird cam
Hi Crunch. Here is the Wildwatch cam that has 5 eggs in the bluebird nest box.
BlueBird Nest
I think Mei is sacked out for the night! Ahe looks so peaceful....panda naps are fun!!
I have the newest version of the Flash Player installed for Firefox But I can't get the live cam up/running
Guess I'll try it over on IE.....
On IE cam came up and I see the 1 egg.
Crunch did you see the 5 eggs?
Getting some more sprinkles - guess it will go on all night. With Spidey's web fully covering the lens you can't really tell who is who in that nest.
sound back on at the zoo.
Yea Jo, I got the site. You know there's getting to be to many site's to check
from BWO...
4/24/10:
We're still seeing shots of our osprey pair mating. If a second egg is coming, it should be here by the end of Sunday.
I agree with you Crunch.. too many sites and too little time!
I got the bluebird cam now.
Thanks.
New Thread! Come on over!!☺
