I found the new thread thanks to George. He walked on the keyboard and shut down the computer. I had to restart everything. He is sitting her beside me right now and smiling.
The question on bookmarking in FF was in regards to making a new folder... you have to click on the down arrow next on the far right where it says folder, then you can add a new folder
LOL Glad to know the buds are on a stick that was brought in. April fools joke on me! First time to be fooled by an eagle!
Interesting recipe from Chrissy. Did she give it a name?
Have cleaned up....now heading out. Going to Laurel's Sunday, but I am taking up a ham for her to cook. Going up early in the morn. Laurel and Joseph have school to make up snow days. Jacob does not have school, but his daddy can not watch him. So, up I go for the day! Taking ham!
Hi everyone! Just checking in to let you know I'm still here but will be in and out a lot. It's too nice outdoors to be sitting here at the computer too long.
Hope you all are enjoying this beautiful weather.
BTW - Harrisburg has 5 eggs in case you didn't know.
I think parent thought Palmer was getting too close to the edge and decided to lure him to the other side. Well, she tried.... He's "tuckered" out now from all that climbing and taking a panda(?) nap.
BTW - Where does that little "pipsqueak" put it all???
OOps ... I answered I was still watching but didn't hit the live cam button, so I was looking at a still and didn't know it. I see Palmer is now on the left of the parent. sorry
I must definitely have something wrong with my outdoor thermometer unit. It is NOT in direct sun, but it's reading 104!! Think I better replace the battery!! It IS 93 in the sunroom, however, and I know that's correct....need the trees to leaf out to shade it. Needless to say, the AC is on!
Just out of curiosity I counted my folder with bird/animal cams. I CAN'T believe there are 105!! I'm wondering if some of them are duplicates???? Must take the time to check them out, surely some of them are no longer valid, right?
Mmmmmm....sounds yummy, Judie!! I'll be down soon! LOL.
Diann, I started doing that this spring and there were both duplicates and non-working pages. Cleaned out maybe 16 or 18! Still way too many left! No way to visit them all often!!
Lynn, Joey is healing slowly. He can get up and down easier now, using his recliner. He is walking out on their street a little, but tires easily. Laurel says his scar and drain port are looking good. He did not bruise as badly as they said he might. He is having to wear a wrap to hold himself in and it has worn blisters. He is putting on a t-shirt under it, but is also having to put bandages on the blisters. Laurel says they are what look the worst.
Getting ready to go to a meeting this evening. Our county is getting ready to approve an ordinance regulating dog tethering time and outdoor caging regulations. Public hearing.....can tell by things in paper that there will probably be plenty of dissidents present. But I do believe that it will be passed! Wish us luck! Talk to you all later tonight.
We are going out to eat to our favorite Italian restaurant. Have to go early to get a table as it is a small place. Yummy! And, the weather is nice enough to dine outside. ☺
Hi all...just popping in quickly to say that I loved the trainer! Daisy did very well...in fact, the trainer said she is a very intelligent dog! She gave me lots of exercises to do with her to help her focus and relax. So we are in boot camp now! She showed me how to use food as a reward instead of a bribe, when to give a command and when to let her figure it out herself, etc. Very informative!
Hi everyone. I trust everyone is bright and cheery on this bright and cheery day!
I checked the twins at TH. They were eating. Gosh Palmer is bigger than both them put together. They sure are cute.
The OR nest has been snowed on for two days that I have been checking. The sun was out at this evening about 6:30 but now they have some cloud cover and snow flakes again
wow, Loon Cam will have sound and night vision this year!!
Trainer will come back in a month. It's up to use to use the exercises she gave us. She wants us to call if any questions or concerns in the mean time. She can come back sooner if there is a serious issue, but I don't anticipate that!
Diann if you come back on I just counted my favorites, took a long time: 348 Discovered many are duplicates or expired sites.... guess it's time to do some clean up
Some sad news here today, an eaglet fell through a hole in the nest and perished..... Quote: We wish this was an April Fools' Day prank, but one chick has fallen from the nest and did not survive. Tragedy strikes frequently in the natural world, and this is just one example of many. Our cameras show real life as it unfolds, the heartwarming along with the heartbreaking. After some tense moments with the second chick precariously on the edge of the nest, it managed to crawl back into the bowl
Sad about the Sutton eaglet. Took a little time to look around at cams. Looked at Pix Pa. Had not done that for awhile. They had some kind of animal fight just off the cam the other night. You can hear lots of screams and so on. They think a fox or two killed one of the raccoons.
Good Evening All! Home and watched 2 TV shows. Still have all the windows open. Lynne - glad you got a training session too! You, Steve and Daisy will be just fine.. Hope the cats follow suit! The Report on NBG Banding - sounds reasonable as to why they did it; however, would have been good to know those reasons before we watched and thought that nothing was accomplished.
Sutton OK - that is so so sad. Let us know if you find out anymore - like did the cam watchers see it happening? I think there is a blog by scrolling down the cam page - used to be.
Lynne - I have not been able to get the OWL cam up MN Bound for about 2 days straight. As you said the eggs should be hatching anytime after today!
I have been multi-communicating ever since I got home.....emails, phone, reading here and watching TV!!! So sad to hear about the Sutton baby...:( Will read the CRC stuff about NBG later.
Meeting was good.....lots of support...probably the worst part is that law enforcement doesn't have good backing from the prosecutors office, and Animal Control doesn't have enough deputies to enforce an ordinance properly.....some amendments to initial draft proposed...MTBR!
Apparently stuff was reported on the chat area below the OK nest cam, but you can only go back so far and read, no info from around that time available.
My FONZ Newsletter - Zoo scientists detected a secondary rise in Mei Xiang's urinary progestagen levels on March 30. This hormone rise indicates that it should be 40 to 50 days before she either gives birth to a cub or comes to the end of a pseudo-pregnancy, or false pregnancy, which is common in giant pandas
The Sutton chick fell out of the nest by the tree trunk in the lower right of the pic. I found pics of the installation of the cam on their website...very interesting. The nest they are using now was a redtail hawk nest. They checked out some other hawk nests before taking over this one. Obviously the nest isn't big enough for the eaglets....hope we don't have more tragedy there. The other chick is very mobile and has been near the edge. It was thought the wind may contributed to the chick falling as well.
Hi everyone. This was a beautiful day. The next 2 days to be even warmer.
I looked in on Palmer but can't tell where he is. Sure glad Boris is not covering my view tonight. Couldn't see a thing last night.
Margy! I thought I had a lot! I did delete some about a month ago.
Discovered a duplicate of our eagle nest. I tried to just add it with an "A" so it would be at the top of the list. Duh .... don't know how to get the list to show them alphabetically. Paula, or anyone else, any ideas? This PC is Vista and I'm using IE. TIA
Lynne2, hope you get Daisy to do everything you want her to do. Our Samoyed, Sasha, had TWO obedience classes - passed them both - but she had a mind of her own. Hope Daisy has none of the northern breeds in her bloodline.
Also happy to hear Joey is doing better. Continued prayers of healing.
To those heading for the pillows, pleasant dreams and restful sleep.
2:27pm from OK: 1 April: Well, we wish this was an April Fool's prank, but one chick appears to have fallen from the nest. Tragedy strikes frequently in the natural world, and this is just one example. We plan to visit the site today to look for the eaglet, but it will take some time. Whether the eaglet fell in water or on land, and whether it is injured or not, and whether we can safely climb the tree to replace it in the nest without disturbing the adults too much are all factors that we will be looking for and considering.
This was just another report like the one Paula found. It was very windy at the nest and the nest was small and egg cup was not very deep. It was the smaller eaglet and there is another egg that will probably hatch within a day or so.
Busy day here, doing yard work. It was a beautiful day for being outdoors. I cannot believe that I am still chasing leaves around my yard. Don't know where they are all coming from, but seems there is no end in sight!
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS SLEEP WELL PRAYERS FOR ALL AND SPECIAL ONE FOR CHRISSY
Gee, I kind of let it slip my mind that this was Maundy Thursday. Good Friday tomorrow......always an oxymoron of sorts-----I always think it is a very sad day; so often it is cloudy and rainy, which seems fitting. But tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and almost cloudless.
I wish I knew how to make the bookmarks appear in alphabetical order, mine appeared in half-assed alphabetical order when I put them on my new laptop...like they were split in half, but they are in reverse alpha order! The only thing to do is try to get them organized into folders...never knew I should have started out that way until too late!
Hi, Everyone, Getting here really late--looks like I've missed everyone. Watched Grey's & PP.
So sorry to hear about the Sutton eaglet that fell out of the nest. Do we know yet whether it survived the fall? Sounded like they planned to go look for it. What a shame the nest is so small. Is there still another egg there ready to hatch? Haven't been following that one. So much to do, and so little time!
Really tired, so leaving the night light and porch lights on. The eye scanner security, as always, is ready to go. Prayers said for everyone, but especially for Chrissy and her family. (((HUGS))), too!
Hope everyone gets a really good night's sleep, and will talk to you tomorrow. Hubby and I have to get up early and go take care of SIL and BIL's bulldogs, but will be on here asap once we're back home. G'night, and God bless! Love you guys! :o]
Hi all! WoW it's early! Steve had to be in at 6 this morning.
All quiet at the nest, except the peepers! SO quiet in fact that unless you look really closely and see spideys web move, you'd think the picture was stuck.
so sad about the OK eaglet. Maybe they were able to find him...
Lynn, glad the meeting went well. Sadly, there will never be enough officers for Animal Control to enforce anything properly, but if it gets on the books that is still a good thing. Why don't they have good backing from the prosecutor's office?
Margy, no Redbud's yet. Our's that we planted last fall is showing no signs of life yet and neither is the dogwood we transplanted from the woods. Other dogwoods around here are starting to bud. Just about time for the redbuds to start too but just barely. I guess the next couple of weeks will tell.
MN Owl Cam still not working. UGH
I'm going back to bed for a while. I'll catch you all later!

Are ya'll talking about the buds on the right on the waving branch? That was a stick brought in.

Shirley, thanks for callover! so will Sunday double as Engagement celebration, too???
You almost lost me. Finished reading newspaper and have had lunch. Must go out side just to get my Vitaimn D.

Palmer just about out of the cup, looking for shade from parent
Preant moves, LOL...wing stretches.
ShaDING pALMER IN THE CUP
Palmer is getting a little mobile!
Chirping from Palmer now...probably hungry...again!!
Taking ham!
Palmer was out of the cup earlier. I posted pics.
Palmer asking for food. Need some fresh wushi!
Okay, gotta go. See you all later. Things to do, places to go, people to see!
BBL
Lolly, if you haven't left....how is Joey feeling???
Chrissy sent me estmated amounts for recipe....I'll send it on to you!
Lynn, I hope I see the ring on her finger by Sunday.
Palmer is flaking in the nest! I love that!
Hi everyone! Just checking in to let you know I'm still here but will be in and out a lot. It's too nice outdoors to be sitting here at the computer too long.

Palmer was all alone for a little while, then was up looking around, had a poop shoot, adult came in, now eating lunch...again.
WE cam looks much better!!
Palmer up by the food at the back, he's probably sitting right on some of those vittles
Parent tenting to provide shade
However eaglet is on the wrong side :)
I think parent thought Palmer was getting too close to the edge and decided to lure him to the other side.
Well, she tried....
He's "tuckered" out now from all that climbing and taking a panda(?) nap.

April's Fool, Lynn. It's only April 1 not June. ;o)
Feels like we're going to miss Spring and go right into Summer - yuck!
Just out of curiosity I counted my folder with bird/animal cams. I CAN'T believe there are 105!! I'm wondering if some of them are duplicates???? Must take the time to check them out, surely some of them are no longer valid, right?
Must find something else to do .....
Hi everyone,
Home now and on to a change of clothes -- too hot right now. Then to fix some food -- crab legs and crab cake with slaw.
Also have to check on Palmer and catch up on everyone's day.
BBL
Hi Judie,
Hope it was a good day with your students.
Mmmmmm....sounds yummy, Judie!! I'll be down soon! LOL.
Diann, I started doing that this spring and there were both duplicates and non-working pages. Cleaned out maybe 16 or 18! Still way too many left! No way to visit them all often!!
Eagle left and returned silently!
I think Palmer is too pooped to move!
Oops feed froze, had to restart...
Hmmm
Ah there we go...Palmer turned around, time to eat...again!
Both adults in the nest, and then one flew out. Then My feed froze...spinning arrows....
Whoohoo - I think that poop shoot cleared the nest! You go Palmer!
Lynn, Joey is healing slowly. He can get up and down easier now, using his recliner. He is walking out on their street a little, but tires easily. Lib arrives. Calling by Belle, think he brought food. He's gone!
Yes, it's a fish. If you go full screen, you can see the talon puncture holes...cool!
Has been a beautiful afternoon.
Hubby and I are headed out for some errands and a bite to eat.

Great, Lynne!
I am enjoying watching parent and child sitting side by side in the nest. They are enjoying the beautiful day.
Palmer getting some din dins
Would ya look at the crop on Palmer, LOL, he's really stuffing it in there!
Looks like he swallowed a gold ball...OK he's refusing food, I think he's done!
Palmer is so full, don't think he's moved an inch!
been unable to get MN owl cam to run...circle of death is all I get. Has anyone else had a problem?
Let me see, Lynn
The loons arrived today.
Lynne - NO go here as well

Haven't been able to bring up Momma either. :(
I can't believe Palmer wants to eat again...he could hardly move a little while ago!
Lynne, so glad the first meeting with Daisy's trainer went well. Wishing the best for good outcomes.
Lynn, well come on down! Too late for crab cake and crab legs but I bet we could come up with something yummy!
Lolly and Jo, enjoy dinner out. Always think almost anything someone else cooked tastes better -- maybe because I don't have to clean up.
Lolly, quick healing for Joey. Sounds like he's on the way.
Shirley, wonder if the ring will be as bright as our shiny garland? You'll have to let us know.
BBL
Lib in and working on nestovers....
Belle took off, Lib is eating, Palmer is chirping
Lynne - sounds like a good day with Daisy and the trainer. How often will you be working with the trainer?
wow, Loon Cam will have sound and night vision this year!!
Trainer will come back in a month. It's up to use to use the exercises she gave us. She wants us to call if any questions or concerns in the mean time. She can come back sooner if there is a serious issue, but I don't anticipate that!

Wow, great Lynne.
The itsy bitsy spider is on it's way up the tree.
Guess Spidey made it up the tree and started the web for tonight.
The sun is out in OR once again. Yea.
Spidey can be a nuisance at times. Smack dab right in front of the lens.
Hi all! We are home but headed out to the patio. Going to have a fire in the chiminea! Have I said today....I love Spring!!!!!
Lynne, sounds good for Daisy. I do hope it works out well for you.
Oh, I already smell the pinion wood in the chiminea. Better head out.
BBL
No spidey in sight :)
Thoughts about my eagleland peeps.
Hi T-Bird and Buddy
How is the now assignment going with you T?
Hello Eagle ♀'s nd ♂'s
well, make that New not Now assignment
I stopped counting how many times Palmer ate today....
can you imagine if WE ate that often?
☺
I know the idea is several smaller meals a day is a good idea
Nice to read of postive progress with Daisy, Lynne
and good to hear of Joey's progress, Lolly
Little eaglet at Colorado seems to like its independence - is out of the nest cup a lot, like right now for example
Interesting post on the CCB blog about the banding and weight of the chicks at NBG...explains why they banded so early.
CCB Blog
That's a good read, Paula, and great photographs of the little eaglets
Seems like what they discovered is important
Thanks
I also saw the link Lisa posted on the BWE site for the short video and interview with Reese Lukei
Thanks
Diann
if you come back on
I just counted my favorites, took a long time: 348
Discovered many are duplicates or expired sites....
guess it's time to do some clean up
two adults at TH and chicks in view
You're tight Paula, West End looks a lot better
chicks chirping at TH

Magpie, the new job is going okay. I have a lot to learn and no one to train me. That's a recipe for lots of mistakes. LOL
Think I missed you T-Bird
hope all is well
Guess Norma-Byrd is getting her pom pom ready to rattle on Saturday night for the 'Eeers.
Oh there you are...
well, that does make it tough..
I know you will be your own best student !
Best wishes with all of it....

Sad news indeed. What do the adult eagles do when that happens?
Good to read the posts and see how everyone is doing,
hope good things continue for all..
fantastic weather hereabouts

have some things to take care of

Oh Paula, I missed that post...about Sutton...
that is heartbreaking...
Sad about the Sutton eaglet. Took a little time to look around at cams. Looked at Pix Pa. Had not done that for awhile. They had some kind of animal fight just off the cam the other night. You can hear lots of screams and so on. They think a fox or two killed one of the raccoons.
Hi, Everybody!
Just got home from school a couple minutes ago. Yay! No school until Tuesday! Had a 2-part transcription test tonight. Think I did OK on it.
Good to hear of progress being made with both Daisy and Joey! Way to go!
Prayers continue for both.
Hubby's wanting some conversation, so will be back later to say goodnight.
Have a good rest-of-the-evening! :o]
Will see you fine folks tomorrow. I am going to head upstairs. Good night.
I don't know what the adults did, was trying to find the proper forum that really reports on the nest...can't find it.

I heard that on the news tonight, Jo. Still a wait and see game!
Andy, good that you get a school break for the Easter weekend, too! Enjoy your time and r-e-l-a-x!!!!
Thelma, sometimes learning for yourself is better than trying to learn from someone else!!! You'll be fine!

This is supposed to be the warmest Easter weekend in 10 years!
Good night to all. Retiree breakfast in the morning, so up and out early. Will catch you later in the day.
Hope everyone sleeps well. Prayers for all.
Heading to bed, see ya'll tomorrow!
Paula, thanks for the effort. I can usually find what I'm looking for but thought alphabetically would make it simplier. Getting lazy .... bad me.
If I can figure it out will let others know.
Good Night and God Bless!
Heading to the shower. Have to get up early and head to Laurels.
Sad to hear about OK. I said at the beginning that it looked awfully small and could not see three juvies in that nest.
See you tomorrow night when I return home.
Margy.....GREAT to see you back on here. ♥ you!
Nite all! Sweet dreams!
