I think that they were going to put in a new cam anyway with or without what we had collected and
I think the donation was just to help with it That is my thought on it
They said they were going to put in a new camera and then the donation came up

JO Don't forget to get that ice cream later also for your reward and put sprinkles
winners get sprinkles
That reminded me of something I saw on the new last night
the team poured a igloo cooler full of sprinkles on the coach when they won the game
got that from the Flo commercial Thought it pretty cute also

This to shall pass comes to mind a friend of mine who had cancer she kept saying that all the time

commercial over back to the news

It's so funny when I check in to catch up I'm always looking for the "LIKE" button to your posts. :)

How long until the eaglets fledge?

I am back in the DC area again, living with Kate in Chantilly while we fix up the house in Frederick. We have a new Realtor after is sat on the market for 7 months. If we had done all the things that the new Realtor is telling us to do 7 months ago it might already be sold. GRrrr.

Happy to be back here and with Kate. Rural life is not so easy when you're used to the city. lol

I will be using the next several weeks working on both houses then looking for LPN work again. I have a little radio job now with Animal Radio. It's a weekly 2 hour show I can do from home via a land phone line. That worked fine last week in PA, but now have to wait until next week for Verizon to get a new analog line (like a fax line) here in VA.

I've been working on losing all the weight I gained in nursing school and have now lost 35 pounds! Hoda has been helpful in my quest to learn yoga. I am forever grateful for her expertise.

I am so out of touch on everything. Kay I appreciate your heads up on fracking earthquakes. I will have to read more about that.

Sandi, I love seeing your Freja (sp) pictures on fb. She is gorgeous.

Much love and happy thoughts for everyone! <3 :)

Jo, please, no hurry about the cam. It was just an inquiry. Would hate to lose the opportunity of a new cam system if the goal was not met. Your health comes first.

Glad Lori filled us in. Sounds like life is going ok for her.

Lolly's pics on FB are beautiful. Looks like they are enjoying themselves.

Paula, I agree. The eaglets look to be about the same in size now. To me they still have baby faces though. Won't be long before that changes too.

Hi,

I have been watching the news about the train derailment.

So many times I sat at the train station in Fredericksburg waiting for my husband to come home from Washington on Amtrak.

stronghunter said...

So glad that your Susan did not travel any further on the train, Jo. I hope your friend's friend has been found and is okay, Judie. There is still confusion about where some people might have gone after the accident.

Lynne2 said...

Evening all!

I'm recovering for a pulled molar. Very back on top, suddenly became ultra hot cold and pressure sensitive. Good bye, #14 tooth! It was tough getting it out...no pain but a lot of pulling and wiggling and cracking sounds.

Actually, there isn't any real recovering....it doesn't hurt at all and the lidocaine has long since worn off. Never the less, I will follow Jo's lead on some ice cream!

stronghunter said...

Enjoy that ice cream, Jo! I used to get milkshakes when I was nearing the birth of my twins. I was losing weight because there just wasn't room for any food in my stomach, so I figured that all three of us needed the milkshakes. One can always find a good reason to enjoy ice cream.

stronghunter said...

Oh, and Lynne is right there with the ice cream as well.

Lynne2 said...

This train wreck is so horrible. I think 7 are confirmed dead. Can't imagine what happened....

Good Morning everyone. Prayers for MeMa Jo and the cyber robot friend. My little dog has finished her treatment for the flea preventative reaction. She has another week or so of liver supplements and then will retest her blood.Busy exciting weekend coming up Going to see 1 and hopefully 2 kids I haven't seen in about 14 yrs. Some stress has creeped in a little around this but hoping the adults in the situation will pull this off as a celebration for the kids. It's a High School Graduation. I will rent a car to get there as minejust isn't ready fro the trip. Patches will have 3 different friends overseeing her as she watches out for the cats lol. Special lunch today with another friend. Hope everyone's day is good. Animal Radio sounds fun Lori. Hoping and knowing Lolly is having a wonderful time in Italy.

Judie said...

Good morning.

Sandperson is in detention this morning. Threw sleepy dust in my eyes last night before I could wish you all a restful sleep.

Eaglets relaxing in the sunshine. All is quiet.

Thinking of Jo and sending a momster prayer.

Berry eaglets have both fledged. Bear cubs are growing and play-fighting. Loons incubating two loons-to-be. Osprey incubating three ospreys-to-be. Red-tail, Barred, Barn owls all have thriving families.

Glo, wishing you a wonderful weekend with family and that the graduation goes perfectly. Patches will be a purrfect kitty-sitter and will be well-pet-sitted in return. Go and enjoy.

Congrats Sandi on getting plants planted. I never did get to the remaining basils - will do that today.

Ice cream? Well, we've been using flavored frozen yogurt. Actually, a very nice substitute - yes, I emphasize substitute.

Lori, so nice to have you stop by. Chantilly is between Shirley and me. Maybe lunch one day. Good luck with the LPN job search. Meanwhile, the radio program sounds fun. Channel/date/time please. Good luck with the houses. Lots of work. Hi to Kate.

Going to spend some time in the scullery today brining chicken, making bbq sauce, making slaw. Basil plants can be seen from the kitchen window so will remember to plant them.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

Just lost post as I was trying to "publish"--think JUDY and I got tangled up in Blogland while trying to post at the same time. So here goes again.

All's well with me n' the dogs.

GOOD THINGS noted in reading current posts.

LORI's alive well and in a good place--with KATE.

GLO's aglow with weekend plans.

SANDI's all set to bloom.

LYNNE2's feelin' no pain after molar removal. Ice cream to the rescue.

JO's out with Mr. CyRo and may top it off with ice cream, too.

JUDIE enjoys frozen yogurt so I'll give it a try if the sugar content isn't too high.

LOLLY & JACK are settled in their anniversary site nest.

BELLE, SHEP and 2 thriving, playful kiddies are doing well.

And so, prayers of gratitude for all those good things and fervent prayers for all in need, including the Amtrak victims and families.

Hi,

Seem to have managed to have lost my post.

I did get my passport application taken care of. The passport should arrive in mid-June.

Lori, tell us about the radio job. An animal program sounds like a good fit for you. I am sure the nursing opportunities will come in time.

I am so sleepy that I think I'll have to take a nap.

Mema Jo said...

Getting up at 7am was a very good reason for the afternoon nap I enjoyed. Getting ready for dinner now - Mac & cheese! I'll always love it.

It has remained beautiful weather all day long.

Lynne - happy the tooth removed isn't giving you any problems. Talk away.

grannyblt said...

All I can say is a fairly mild cuss word. I've lost my post for the second time today.
I am pooped as I've been moving since 6 am getting 3 teenagers up, fed,to school or work. Then laundry and grocery run. Groceries are mighty expensive here. Add about a dollar to each item. For example, a quart of Kraft mayo is 4.99.
Happy that Jo is nearing the end of this phase of treatment. Prayers continue.
Glad that Lori is back to her old stomping grounds and happily finding homes for rescues.
Envious of Lolly and Jack in Italy.
Thankful for all of the Momsters and Dadsters.

evening all....

hard to wind down tonight after work. It was another BAD BAD BAD day. Not the least of which was the news that our beloved hospital cat Shadow, aka Freeloader, has been diagnosed with a very VERY bad lymphoma. The lab cannot even isolate WHICH type it is. We are waiting to hear from the specialist. It's not good, and he's going down fast. Two weeks ago the swollen lymph nodes appeared, and 2 biopsies and two weeks later, he is losing so much weight, bleeding from the urethra and not wanting to eat today.

Well, a lighter note....Steve will be home tomorrow!

Prayers for the final CyRo Jo! Waiting sucks, doesn't it? GRRRR!

Lynne, my goodness! Hope you have some FUN tomorrow!

Lolly says she may stay in Italy. I'm calling first dibs on her house. LOL!

Judy, wow, I hope Jordyn's neck is OK! I use Google Chrome at home AND work so I'm not sure what the issue is.

LORI...WOW, you've lost 35 pounds! Good job girl! I think I found it.....

Must get to bed and rest for tomorrow's madness. My coworker Joy and I decided we need to start a flower farm, like Megan's because this veterinary stuff is just getting too emotional!

SHIRLEY, I received your e-mail--don't know what kind of chicanery Yahoo was up to when you got that notice! Same ol' addy I've always had????

JUDY, my dear mother's birthday was 7/15, makes me smile to think of her and the birthdays our family enjoyed together.

Yep, every time I check in on them our eaglets are looking bigger and more active. They are a joy to behold.

Okay, to the scullery as JUDIE would say, in search of something to eat---I have no bacon or donuts in the house.....

Well, I did have that BLT for lunch. Now I'm waiting for a pizza and some wings to be delivered.

Went off to Home Depot this afternoon for bags of garden soil for my gardens and hanging plants for the front porch.

Found two lettuce plants growing in the vegetable garden. Maybe from seeds dropped last fall.

grannyblt said...

And I am trying to decide what to fix BLT for dinner. Oh wait, they are teens with plans, maybe just me and the L. This teenage life is very busy. I don't think they could survive without their phones. I only have had two days of early morning get to school angst. At least they are self starters when it comes to school work. Enough of my grandpa renting teenager woes. I haven't had time to do any birding, maybe next week. Hope our Momsters are doing well.

grannyblt said...

That is grandparenting, not grandpa renting. Sometimes this auto spell or word suggest is a pain.

Lori O. said...

There's a lot going on here!

Judie,
I would love to meet you and Shirley for lunch just as soon as I get all this house stuff done.

Kay,
Did you get your BLT and donuts?

Lynne 2,
I've been doing a mostly raw food diet and avoiding anything that is processed, but the BLT sounds tempting!

Sandi,
My folks are doing great. Dad's cancer has not returned after surgery. Neither of their memories is the best, but neither is mine. My exit was also perfectly timed (devine intervention) as my SIL left my brother (whom I no longer speak with). She and my nephew will be staying with my folks. She is great with them and my folks just adore her and Brandon.

Feeling blessed to be able to watch the eagles again!

Judie said...

Um, enuff of the BLT stuff. Had dinner (leftovers) and now thinking of a sandwich for which I have no T.

Lynne, enjoy whatever you decide for dinner. Yes, phones. Try to imagine teaching college students who become apoplectic without a phone to the ear and a computer at their fingertips. Oh, and then there are those who cannot speak a five word sentence without three of the five words being "like." Keep on enjoying. lol

Lori, timing is everything as we all know. Good news for your Dad and glad SIL is there with your folks. Lunch for sure when you are settled.

Jo, thank you for the camera update. Very helpful.

Shirley, lettuce is from last year's seeds. That's wonderful. I only get leftover weeds. Grrrrr.

JudyE, hope the meatloaf is tasty.

Okay, off to put my feets up then to the pillows.

Sandperson is packing and will be on the way soon.

Restful sleep for all.

Been thinking about Lolly & Jack, and hope they are totally enjoying their vacation in Italy!

Lynne2, really sorry to hear of the kitty at your work. Praying for a miracle there, for sure.

Jo, that new camera sounds wonderful, doesn't it?? The comment you posted sounds like the project is a GO and the money has already been budgeted for the equipment and installation, so donations will just be reimbursing NCTC for the money spent.

Lolly, glad you and Jack are having a good time - a cooking class is something I would never sign up for on a vacation but enjoy!!

Lynne1, hope you get some eagle watching time. Still, I bet you enjoy being with those grandkids, even if they are creating work for you!

Lori, great news about your dad's health!

I finished my last IEP yesterday - locked myself in my office after I finished state testing and knocked it out during the school day instead of being in classrooms with the kids like I should have been. I'm not feeling one bit guilty about that either, not with the hours I've spent at home doing school work lately!

It has been very dry here and we need enough rain to wash all the yellow pollen off of everything. Today will be planting the 3 new shrubs that I bought last weekend and cleaning the upstairs. I may just have to use the hose and squirt all the bushes and the decks so we don't keep tracking the pollen in the house. At some point, Denny will have to pressure wash the whole house.

Have agreat day all.

Our two eaglets are snuggled down at the 10:00-11:00 spot again.

Supposed to meet Val and her husband along with some other bowling friends today. Val said she was going to try to get her hubby to bring his bowling balls. We've never seen him bowl. After Val told me he had been a professional bowler, I looked him up and found out that not only was he a pro, he is in the Pro Bowlers' Hall of Fame. I want to see him bowl. :)

Good morning.

Sipping coffee and looking out at a beauteous sunshiny bright blue sky.

Sandi, congratulations on completing the final IEP. No guilt should be required. You go above and beyond and have earned the weekend time to take care of planting and cleaning or whatever else you might choose.

Shirley, how terrific to watch a pro bowler. Please have fun. Hope Hunter's team wins today.

Must ask Darth about putting the flag out. It is Armed Forces Day.

Wishing for Lynne some eagle sightings along with relaxation time.

Wishing Lynne2 a continued pain-free weekend and a miracle for the vet kitty.

Wishing Paula a fun weekend with Larry Studmuffin.

Hope to see Jo post later on and that she is feeling well today.

Have a great day everyone.

stronghunter said...

Hi again,

Congratulations on finishing that last IEP, Sandi. Know what you mean about the not feeling guilt thing. One summer, I got paid to sit in my classroom and read a book I planned to use for instruction while my students were being tested by other people. I told myself what you told yourself.

Would like to put up my flag, too, Judie. The bracket to hold it got taken down some years ago when I replaced the posts on the front porch. Guess I should check on a new bracket.

I did hang the planters on the front porch yesterday. I hope the hummingbirds find those pretty red flowers.

stronghunter said...

Wishing everyone a good day. I shall return.

Looks like our eagles are seeking shade at the very top of the nest.

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

Ya know what? After reading JUDIE's post I'm going to go the lazy route and second her emotions! She expresses the same thoughts I had upon reading the rest of the posts and no one ever says it better than our JUDIE!

Heavy rain overnight and more expected, but I'm finding clear spots for brief dog walks. They don't like rain! Fortunately no thunder so Mal has been calm.

Enjoyed the early a.m. nest reports. Thanks, JUDY, SANDI and SHIRLEY!!

Wishing you all a grand day!

Prayers for all in need!!!

Good grief, that woodpecker keeps pecking on my house. It is good that I do not have wood trim in the spot where he's pecking. He is pecking on metal--at least I truly hope so.

Mema Jo said...

Good afternoon to all ♥

I just turned on the AC - 80° in the house is not good for me even tho
a breeze was coming in from the west.

Eaglets are at noon and 4 positions
They are really growing and getting
some other skills.

Feeling well and hope all of you are enjoying your day. Shirley, I am anxious to hear about the PRO BOWLER

grannyblt said...

Good morning/afternoon all.

I am also seconding Judie's emotions as Kay said. And also waiting for the pro bowler report.

I survived the "can I drive to the beach for a bonfire even though it is illegal and I only have a provisional license and I'll be in around midnight request". I deferred to his Mom who took the rap for being the bad guy. Texting comes in handy for Granny too. And he got a good nights sleep.

Hoping all have a good day. Looks to be a grand day here, high around 60.

Judie said...

Ah, the old "test Granny" trick! Glad you deserve the A+, Lynne.

Okay, a couple of small laundry loads completed. Roast in the oven. Now, seriously, headed to put my feet up and peruse the newspaper before it becomes outdated.

Also waiting for the bowling report.

I have enjoyed watching the eagles today. Good to see them being fed and exercising those wings. Won't be long now till they are flying.
I've been having lots of lower back pain lately. Getting old is no longer any fun. I added a new photo to my blog showing our flowerbed. Diane has worked hard on it.
Everyone have a nice evening.

Sandi said...

Good evening all. Spent most of the day outside in the garden. Dug out 3 shrubs that didn't survive the winter and planted 3 new ones. Then cut back another 3 that are practically dead so Denny can dig out the stumps.

We also have some privet that has grown so large and looks so forlorn that I told Denny to just take a chain saw to them and take them down to about 6 inches from the ground so they can start all over. I think Denny thought I was kidding but I'm not.

Forecast is calling for some thunderstorms but so far, nothing. I am beat! Goodnight!

stronghunter said...

Hi,

We had fun bowling this morning. I was happy to find out that my card still gets me free games. Yay!

The pro bowler started out with a gutter ball, but then he bowled like a pro. Plenty of strikes and spares. The score for his second game was, as I recall, 222 or something like that. Not bad at all for someone who retired from bowling a few years ago and has the aches and pains that come with old age.

I was happy with my 130 score. Very happy.

Quite a storm over where Kathryn and Hunter were this afternoon. Hunter called and asked me to check the Doppler radar for tornadoes. They had hail and watched a tree blow apart. They got home with part of a tree branch sticking out of the car's grille.

Fortunately, the storm lost its punch before it got to Fredericksburg. Kathryn said that Hunter got very upset and that she had to pull off the road for awhile, something she does not often do.

stronghunter said...

Speaking of bushes not surviving the winter, I am worried about my chasteberry bush. It still hasn't leafed out. That thing is taller than I am. It will need to be sawed down if it has died. I planted it when I first started blogging on here, and when I posted a picture, everyone was sure I'd gotten hold of a marijuana plant.

Goodorming my eagle friends. We finally got rain last night -about 100 drops I think. Now everything that was covered with a coat of yellow pollen is covered with speckled yellow pollen. Forecast is for clouds today - maybe everything outside will get the washing it needs.

And speaking of washing, I will be washing clothes and bathrooms today.

Jo, prayers for you that the radiation is doing its thing!

Have a good one.

stronghunter said...

Good morning,

The whole eagle family is at the Sycamore Palace having a late breakfast. Youngsters have taken the food away from the adults and are eating.

Lots of green leaves around the nest now. Can hardly see the ground.

Good Sunday morning to all ♥
Hoping that the rain from yesterday
has watered and not drowned all of the beautiful plants and flowers.

Good to see new greenery in the nest.

Happy Anniversary to
Megan and Russ. Wishing you years ahead of love and happiness

Judie said...

Good morning.

Overcast here. Headed for a heavy humid day, I think.

Our eaglets just hanging out in a hazy nest; Decorah eaglets (three) are beginning to self-feed and wingersize; Berry College eaglets have fledged; Loch of Lowes expecting a hatch any day; bear cubs frolicking and tussling and growing; barn owls and barred owls growing quickly; loons just waiting.

Not going to be quite so ambitious as Sandi but do plan to get out to the library this afternoon. Hope to find an interesting book to read next week.

Now to finish my coffee. Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Judie said...

Doing a Margy.

Red, cannot see your yard but I'm sure it is just beauteous.

Wishing Megan and Russ a wonderful anniversary day and an even more wonderful year ahead.

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

Another soggy and hot one here and looking at about 40 more hours of the same before we return to Spring temps and sunshine!

Hope the worst of the current storm systems have passes all of you by.

I love those family gatherings at the nest! Thanks, JUDIE for the rundown on all those creature cams!

RED, I agree, kudos to Diane for creating a beautiful, scenic garden! I wish I could grow some of those BIG daisies on my deck!☺

Happy Anniversary to MEGAN and RUSS!

Wishing you all a glorious Sunday!

Prayers for those facing procedures this next week and for anyone in need of God's touch.

HONIES!!! I'M HOME!!!!!
just got back from an incredible weekend. I feel so relaxed and rejuvenated.

We set up camp Wed night, tom went home and I went back to the RV> I read my book and went to sleep.

Thursday a.m. I went fishing for 2 + hours. Lots of fishing, but no catching that day!!!

I checked into our annual gathering...and Thursdays are set up day, so not much going on. I was tired, so that was good I went back to the RV and slept.

Over Friday and Saturday I bought some awesome new skirts and pretties....one tye dye skirt, one silk skirt that you can use like a saraong and make into different dresses by simply winding the dress in different patterns around your body....

I caught up with some friends and attended some fabulous seminars by people such as Dorothy Morrison, Aaranon C'ean, and Mary Hawk. Great conversations. Good times. and of course TUATHA DEA was there. I spent a good part of yesterday morning with Kathy of said group huddled under an umbrella, walking, talking and giggling like a couple of school kids. so much fun. so wonderful

I haven't read back yet, I will in a bit. Just wanted to check in. Thinking of you all!

Judie said...

Good afternoon.

Eaglets are plotzed. Panting. Must be hot and humid there as well as here.

Thank you, Shirley. I thought Red's picture was on FB.

Red, flower garden is gorgeous. Congratulations and thank you for sharing.

Janet, happy you enjoyed the time away with friends. Now, back to the grind.

Obtained a couple of library books this afternoon. Should keep me busy this coming week.

Finally finished the newspapers from yesterday and today. Now must head to the scullery.

Happy Anniversary to Megan and Russ! Hope your day is spectacular, and the coming year is exceptional!

Red, love your yard! Diane did a great job!

Shirley, what fun getting to watch such a good bowler! I would be very happy with your score, too!

It's nice here today. Not too warm (Expected high of 72), and sort of cloudy.

Well, I'd better get going. Have some reports to transcribe, and want to finish them before this evening. Hope everyone has a pleasant day. I ♥ us!
